Charlie Louvin July 7, 1927 – January 26, 2011
Charlie Louvin, half of the Louvin Brothers duo whose harmonies inspired fellow country and pop singers for decades, died early Wednesday due to complications from pancreatic cancer. He was 83. The Louvin Brothers harmonies always inspired me, particularly this song: Here’s Emmylou singing one of the Louvin Brothers songs:
