‘Bout time y’all woke up, I snuck in here @ 5:10 and everyone was still asleep.

I just checked in to see if the picture was still there, wasn’t sure that it would get Granny Hamous’ blessing. Oh and I found it funny. 😉
Drought, water shortage, going bankrupt,….what to do?…..I KNOW, I KNOW; Ban Plastic bags!
The terds in CA prevented any new dam construction to allow them to conserve water more efficiently. Now the have severe water resource problems. See any connections and should the rest of the country be forced to pay for the CA terds incompetence?
Northeast loses 40% of congressional representation since 1950. Primary reason: high state taxes.

The Washington DC National Football League franchise should change its name to the Washington Wagonburners and tell the “activists”, the League, and the ninnies in the government that they’re number one with the big finger.
The Washington Wagonburners. Really rolls off the tongue; it just sings. Prolly could get a cool logo too.
.#8 Pyro: This whole thing is nothing but federal bullying to assist Ds in the upcoming elections. Is there nothing that Jugears will not politicize to further his evil agenda?
Remington 700 FS. A little pricey, though.
My Bs-o-meter is pegging with all the adamant proclamations the the Ebola virus is no threat to the USA. We have a Liberian in Dallas who somehow made it through the much vaunted security precautions now in a hospital with this deadly disease. How many people was he in close contact with when he became symptomatic, how do We the People KNOW that this virus has not mutated to be airborne?
#8: What about the Jeep Cherokee, Pontiacs, Renegades, Apache Helicopters, Cheyene (sp) and the list goes on and on.

My first day at full throttle. I was wondering if I’d be okay with my class tonight…
Yep, they’ll get the full lecture this evening! And I wonder how many will turn in their assignment from last week’s movie?
I saw on Twitter that ditzy-brained Erin Burnett wrote her CNN news crew reporting on the epidemic returned from West Africa through US Customs with no more than a smile and wave. No checks, searches or questions about Ebola exposure.
She also said the Dallas EMTs used the ambulance that transported the patient there for 48 hours to move other patients before somebody woke up and decided to quarantine it. They had immediately quarantined the original crew, but someone forgot the vehicle.
#15 TP: like we have all seen, what reason do we have to trust them? The only consistent thing from the authoritahs is that you trust them at your own risk.

What about the Kansas City Chiefs?
Last night on Monday Night Football, the ESPN crew couldn’t stop praising the loud, engaged home crowd at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium. They opened the game with a ceremony where running back Christian Okoye, “The Nigerian Nightmare”, pounded on a giant drum as tens of thousands of Chiefs fans cheered on. The crowd, many of whom wore feathers and American Indian-themed garb, chanted and did the Tomahawk Chop. They were so loud that, if you believe these measures, they set the new Guinness World record for loudest crowd roar, surpassing the Seahawks.
Office Help 5 just pointed out that my DRE’s “requirements” that I teach a chapter from the book each week won’t work for me – I only have eight chapters in my book. Her list is 16 or something like that.
I love loopholes. I’ll keep my syllabus.
I wanted to see my kids receive confirmation last Friday night, and while at the church I met “Miguel,” who appears to be the driving force behind all the changes Father’s trying to make. He actually was dictating changes to the procedures for mass on the day of the ceremony itself, causing the staff to scramble to try to accommodate his desires.
I don’t care if he’s a DRE elsewhere, unless he’s in our church and dealing with the changes himself, he shouldn’t be stirring the pot so vigorously. I understand getting an outside opinion to avoid getting into a non-productive rut, but to allow him to dictate almost impossible to fulfill demands is in itself non-productive and demoralizing to the volunteer crews. I haven’t seen this much anger and frustration in years.
All this Ebola scare stuff just tells me that something else is afoot and the sheeple must be either scared to go out of their houses or not pay attention to anything else, other than perhaps an occasional ritual beheading or using the word Redskin. How many bird flu, pig flu and other pandemics have we been promised that failed to come through? I’m seriously thinking the illegals that were disbursed nationwide without any screening whatsoever might be the real problem since we aren’t hearing anything about that. Your number one killer of Americans, which annually kills more Americans than we lost in Vietnam, continues to run loose on the streets of America, being ever made less safe by CAFE standards, an no one pays any attention to that on the evening news anymore. I’ll save the rest for later.
BTW, it’s just not fair that this poor ebloa victim is segregated from the rest of the population. You can’t discriminate against AIDS anymore, so why should this be any different. I realize that Dallas is located in the South, but haven’t they yet heard of the benefits of diversity, which outweigh any of the downside such as pandemic and overall lowering of the quality of life, etc.
A Georgetown medical professor and top epidemiologist sez there were many people in the DFW area and elsewhere who were exposed to the ebola patient.
And that we should expect many more to have been infected.
This part is scary:
The man, who arrived in the U.S. on Sept. 20, began to develop symptoms last Wednesday and sought care two days later. But he was released. At the time, hospital officials didn’t know he had been in West Africa. He returned later as his condition worsened.
We’re doomed.
Some key points about the ebola thing:
Q: How does Ebola spread?
A: Only through close contact with the bodily fluids of someone who has symptoms, such as fever, vomiting and diarrhea. People aren’t contagious until symptoms begin. And Ebola cannot spread through the air.
Q: So who’s at risk?
A: Texas health officials already have begun tracking down those close contacts, believed to be mostly the relatives the man stayed with. Officials will check them for symptoms every day for 21 days. Frieden said only about a handful of people are believed to have been exposed.
Q: Could Ebola have spread on the airplane?
A: No, Frieden said, because the man wasn’t sick then. The CDC said there is no need to monitor anyone else on those flights and didn’t reveal flight information.
Link here. I really don’t foresee any serious epidemic occurring here in the US, but fear-monger if you wish.
Dude
but fear-monger if you wish.
I am waiting to get banned at another hangout because I have been acting as a source of reason. Yeah I know that is a futile endeavor with some people. I am not going to lose my mind on this till I see evidence that Ebola cases are spawned in people that have not traveled to Africa. Then it will be time to worry.
The airport checks are a joke. It takes 2 to 21 days for Ebola to become infectious. So a person could be infected and not be infectious as they pass through airport screening. That is how this thing could get out of hand quickly. The only way to preclude an Ebola outbreak here is to quarantine all returning passengers for 22 days to insure they do not have the disease. And that ain’t gonna happen.
/UPDATE: I done been banned

Reversal of Tom DeLay’s Conviction Upheld by Texas Court
Affirming a lower court’s dismissal of the conviction last year, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled that the state failed to establish enough facts to prove Mr. DeLay was guilty of money laundering or conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Oh but of course
The Austin-based Travis County District Attorney’s Office, which brought the case, had no immediate comment on the ruling.
The only way to preclude an Ebola outbreak here is to quarantine all returning passengers for 22 days to insure they do not have the disease. And that ain’t gonna happen.
True that. I mean, it could happen. Then again, we’re talking possibility vs. probability. And congratulations on your banning! Wear it as a badge of honor for being a reasonable Squawk!

Uhoh Rush is worried about this for two reasons.
One: He is concerned about the spread of Ebola
/BTW I am concerned but i am not gonna lose my little mind worrying about this.
Two: The politicization of the disease by Obama,

There, fixed it for me.
I guess this would be a good time for me to stop sharing bodily fluids with Liberians. Dang, just when it was getting fun, too…
Hollywood already solved this problem back in the mid 1990’s. It’s time for a rerun on HBO.

As long as Zero tells me all is well, no need to worry. He’s never lied to me yet, has he?
The politicization of the disease by Obama
That’s going to be true no matter what the topic is.
Ironically, I am home sick today. Pretty sure it’s not Ebola though. The Liberian I was swapping spit with assured me she was clean.
War, famine, pestilence and wild animals. . . . . . .
Pretty sure it’s not Ebola though.
Prolly Chikungunya. Or maybe Breakbone Fever.
Or maybe Breakbone Fever.
Isn’t that what they call Dengue Fever? I remember a few years back working down in Brazil and the locals talking about that one. All I know is I got a ton of shots before I left and I didn’t get it. Sounded pretty miserable to me.

Heh, till we get a flaming liberal as an AG. I like the system we have as flawed as it may be.
Meanwhile, bck at the ranch, trying to prove that he’s still relevant; Jimmy Carter says he would have defeated Reagan had he been more ‘manly’.
This reminds me I haven’t seen a hot Liberian in a long time. I’ll have to start going to the Libery again.
#39 With those dark rimmed glasses? 😈
I thought all this had been settled when Nixon did it.
“The court has ruled that the federal government cannot hide behind confidentiality laws to prevent Americans from knowing if our President has gained unauthorized access to their tax information,” Cause of Action executive director Dan Epstein said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a decisive win for all Americans and for government transparency and accountability.”

Well isn’t this special. We are truly a “world class” city now.
We are truly a “world class” city now.
Maybe you better check Forbes “list”/definition of what makes a city world class.
Public Restrooms is on the list. Maybe your story is an indication that Houston is becoming one giant cesspool so they do not need facilities.
Welp the Blog Monkey swapped the OC picture. 😉
I saw on the news that a lady was charged by the city almost $8K dollars for a leak that was “discovered” about the same time that a city crew came to repair a line to her meter. They claim that the leak was on her side of the meter. From what I heard, there was no leak reported before the crew arrived. The most the city would do was to cut the sewer portion (about half) of the bill.
The same thing happened to my mother-in-law. The city hired a company to install new water mains, and they yanked her meter, causing a leak. She also was billed over $8K, which was cut in half. We’re still fighting it, but the city says it’s her fault. We have proof of other wrongdoing by this company, but we’re keeping that in reserve. Hubby’s threatening going to the news, possibly to court.
I guess that’s modus operandi for a world-class city.
Well, isn’t this special…

Making Houston a “world class city” was a stupid marketing gimmick under the Lee. P. Brown admin. Other real winners include:
“Houston’s Hot” – Kathy Whitmire admin
“We need to build a bridge to the 21st century” – Der Schlickmeister, The Rapist Bill Clinton.
What is really amazing to me is how many people fall for that garbage.

Not near as much as this one:
#53 from your link:
Health officials say the disease is only spread by people with symptoms, such as diarrhea or vomiting.
Really? That is the only way that virus can get transmitted? How about blood, saliva or mucous; how about via some other vector? How about the guy pukes and he fails to wash his hands and leaves the bathroom and touches the door handle – what happens to the next schlub who touches that handle?
This could get real ugly real quick.
The thousands of cases in Africa were all puked or pooped on. Yeah, I’ll believe that.
not

Well, here’s some input from AoSHQ,
I’ve been noting this for some time. The media and the government — essentially, these two institutions have fused; they are partner operations in the same corporation — endlessly peddle fictions to the public on the theory that the public cannot handle the truth, and will panic, or bomb mosques, if they are told the truth.
Witness the government and media assuring us — falsely — that Alton Nolen’s religion was all but irrelevant to his Jihadi Beheading Rampage.
This interview of the director of the CDC — the first, best, and only line of defense against a major outbreak of a deadly disease — with Sanjay Gupta of CNN seems to be of a piece with that idea of telling the morons whatever you have to tell them to keep them quiet and peaceable.
The director of the CDC says that you have no fear of infection by ebola unless you are in direct contact. So, he says to Gupta, neither of us is at any risk of infecting the other just standing here, talking to each other, at a distance of a yard or so.
The CNN anchor in the studio asks about a sneeze, and Gupta then points out that the CDC’s own guidelines state that infection is a risk in cases of either direct contact or close proximity of three feet or less with an infected person.
The CDC guy then blathers something about taking each case individually on its own merits or something.
What?
These are general guidelines, and apparently the CDC’s own general guidelines do say that close proximity (three feet or less) is enough to create a risk of infection.
“We would look at that” and “it depends on the situation” are very, very different from “no risk” of transmission.
So why is this guy claiming that only direct contact is enough for transmission?
This is very worrisome.
Sarge

Ain’t interesting that those charged to protect us are lying through their arses and those who want to kill us are telling us why they want to kill us but those charged to protect us are calling them liars. Heck man it is no wonder the jihadis want to kill us, I mean call me a liar enough sooner or later I am gonna lash out too.

You have to pass the bill to see what is in the bill, If you like your plan you can keep your plan -period, if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor -period, families will save up to $2500/year on insurance, dedutibles will go down, there is not even a smidgen of evidence that the IRS was playing politics, it was the video that caused the murder of our amabassador in Benghazi, Fast and Furious was a Bush operation, the NBP in PHilly did not commit voter intimidation with those billy clubs at the polling place, St. Trayvon was innocent, The healthcare.gov website will function flawlessly, there will be no security breaches with the website, the southern border is secure, there have been no terrorists coming over the southern border;
I could go on but I think we all get the drift, and I am supposed to believe these lyings sack-o-crapola when they tell me there is nothing to be concerned about? How many diseased people with TB, MRSA, along with a plethora of other diseases came over the southern border and now they are infecting (potentially) people in every state of the union?
There are way too many lies associated with this bunch to take anything they say at face value.
Supercharged Corvette can go 0-60 in 2.95 seconds!
I want one! Still the most bang for your buck in a sports car and it still has a pushrod motor. 😀
DETROIT (AP) — General Motors says a new high-performance version of the Chevrolet Corvette can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in under three seconds.
The 2015 Corvette ZO6 is the fastest car GM has ever made. The company says it can hit 60 mph in 2.95 seconds and can finish a quarter-mile in just under 11 seconds. It can reach 127 mph in one-quarter mile.
GM spokesman Monte Doran says GM believes it to be the first front-engine, rear-wheel-drive production car to break the three-second barrier.
The Z06 that achieved the times is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. It has a supercharged V8 engine that puts out 650 horsepower.
The Z06 goes on sale early next year and will cost just shy of $80,000.
#59 SD: Ifn ya gots azz to haul and you’re on a budget, that’s the car.
For old folks only: I’m on straight Medicare, and there is a section for prescription drug coverage that is supposed to share some costs of drugs which is called Part D. If you don’t sign up for Part D when you are first eligible for medicare, then at some later date if you require some expensive medications, you cannot go back in without paying substantial penalties. Assuming that at some point you are going to need medications as an old person, the best thing to do is to sign up when you are first eligible for medicare, even if your prescription needs are minimal. Now, having said that, up until last year, I saved quite a bit of money by having Part D coverage for a couple of my regular medications. Last year, my out of pocket costs doubled, and when the premium was added, I probably broke even. This year (2015) my costs of meds plus the insurance premium is about $800.00. If I simply pay for the meds out of pocket, my cost is about $500. Now the way they go about presenting these plans include a combination of variables, such as deductibles, co-pays, premiums, tier rankings of the individual meds, and rankings of the pharmacies that you can use. One plan may have a higher deductible and a lower co-pay for instance; and the Walmart pharmacy is cheaper that the neighborhood one. Trying to analyze these plans and compare them is damn near impossible, so logically I called the different plans for clarification. They all have Obama voters working the phones – that makes it even more confusing before you are done. So, about the best I can do will cost me $300 a year over and above anything I receive, and this extra $300 is called “my benefits.” I made the mistake of asking one of the Obama voters why they kept referring to things I pay for as “benefits” but I’ll be gracious and assume that she didn’t understand the question. These benefits, to which I am entitled, are about to break me. All you youngsters out there need to be prepared. Welcome to Obamaville.
Indeed, the winnowing has commenced for me.
Here’s how “progressives” are going to destroy the Texas economy.
Here ya go Hammie an answer to the problem
OK, so my 5′ 6″ hunnerd pound wife has a REAL hard time finding jeans that fit right. She wears 2L and even if she finds a 2 it’s always too short. I used to surf E Bay and often scored on some real neat ones. Yesterday she found some 2L boot cut 36″ inseam jeans locally so she is real happy. There was a time that she could buy the ones for teens but now they only make them with the waistline 4″-5″ below the belly button. FWIW; I know, that the men will NOT know what I’m talking about. The only reason that I know her size is that I was always on the look out for them.
Never fear the Ebloa crisis – SJL is now on the case. Of course, she may think it came back with those Mars astronauts, but at least she’s stepping up and taking charge.
I know, that the men will NOT know what I’m talking about.
No, don’t know much about Size 2 wives.
Mine was 5’9″, 105 lbs. when we met 28 years ago.
Now she’s 5’7″, cough cough lbs.
Super Dave/Shannon

Boy you two like to live dangerously. Angels dare not tread in areas concerning wimmenz weight.
BINGO
She, too, has always had problems finding clothes long enough for those long legs. Woof, woof.
But she knew how to make alterations to the larger/longer sizes.
Speaking of the wife, by the way we’re headed to the hospital at 4am.
I’ll just say it now…..
FIRST!!!!

I was luckier than many and ended my career with retiree medical insurance, including scrips coverage, for self & spouse. At age 65, the medical became Medicare backup, and the premium really really really dropped, to ~ $100/month for both of us, and including our scrips, with CVS-Caremark.
Shannon, good luck on the hospital trip, prayers for y’all.
Legg’s? my bride and I have the same inseam, I’m just a little taller from the waist up.
The reason that I posted this is that wimmin’s like my wife have a hard time finding clothes because their size is rare, think bell curve. My mom was 4′ 13″ (sister’s definition) and she had no trouble finding clothes in the 50’s 60’s BUT try to find a size 4 AAA shoe for a grown up lady! She made a trip once a year to a fancy store in Montgomery Alabama to buy several pairs of high heels. After she retired, she just bought kids sneakers.

While YOU, of course, have not changed AT ALL during those 28 years together.
😀 😀 😀
I need to venture upstairs and bring down pumpkins and scarecrows for October decorating. I don’t think I did any fall or Halloween deco at all last year, but I was in the hospital 3 times in September & October, with kidney stones and knee surgery. I better do it tomorrow without fail, since I’m not sure what will happen after I see Ortho Doc on Friday.
Hope Fay does well during and after her fix tomorrow, Shannon.
I need to venture upstairs and bring down pumpkins and scarecrows for October decorating.
Pictures, we need pictures, just give them to pyro, he’ll post them.
Speaking of shopping with the wife.
Didn’t find Super Dave. I am sure Shannon is in here somewhere. Found bunsonburner in the next to last picture.
#74 mharper42, when we got married back in 1975,I weighed 165′ my bride 113′ now I’m 185′ and she is 100′ +/- 1 or 2. I’m still in pretty good shape.
Dave, you and your wife are rare, it is more usual for people to shrink a bit in height as they age, and pack on some pounds.
