I saw several links to this site in lots of places over the past couple of days. The pictures are not photographs; they are pen and ink drawings.
BIC pen and ink. It seems like I can’t get a Bic pen to work without a few globs and/or skips marring my latest efforts at doodling while trying to stay awake during yet another meeting.
These people draw pictures almost photographic in their detail.

Others are made with “regular” pens and ink.

Some use other media.

There are some actual photographs, too.

I should point out that there are some picture that are not work-safe. All of them are hidden behind registration and a couple of click-through pages. In other words, you won’t accidentally have something pop up on its own.

I am still a pessimist. That looks like photography or other media and not Bic. I have found with certain “cheaper” pens that if I store them upside down, i.e. pointy end up, that helps to cut down on the glob factor.

This sounds very much like Hari Seldon’s Psychohistory in Asimov’s Foundation series.

Their model correctly predicted all elections since 1980, including two years when independent candidates ran strongly, 1980 and 1992. It also correctly predicted the outcome in 2000, when Al Gore received the most popular vote but George W. Bush won the election.

Posted this last night and still don’t understand the witch hunt.

Itโ€™s late and no one is here but I have a question. He survives a criminal investigation, countless tests over the years and some non elected government body strips him of his wins?
I think a local baseball player went through this. Is this a government plan to reduce American excellence? Shouldnโ€™t our tax dollars be used on something useful? Could somebody tell why the keep pursuing this guy?

#8 TexCan: Because it simply isn’t fair that someone who works like a maniac, after having recovered from cancer, should have such incredible heart, drive and determination so as to win 7 Tour De France titles in a freaking row, so therefore he must be cheating. I heard from someone that they went back and retested old blood draws and there they supposedly found the smoking gun. A reasonable series of questions could be asked:
    1) Was the chain of custody kept intact throughout the entire time from when the blood was first drawn until the last test?
    2) Who maintained that chain of custody?
    3) Who else had access, official or otherwise, to the blood?
    4) Who did the testing, what were the procedures used, who witnessed same?
    5) What is the error rate in the above testing procedure(s)?
A mis-step in any of the above would absolutely introduce “reasonable doubt” as to the integrity of the blood sample tested.
Hard work, long hours, pain of injury and stress of workout/work habits are to be torn down at every turn; while affirmative action, minority set asides, sloth and lack of genuine achievement are to be praised.
Good is bad, bad is good, lies are truth and truth is a lie, there is no God, if it feels good do it, yada, yada, etc. This is just more of the same to tear down what works and replace it with that which does not.

    #8 &#9,
It is a cryin’ shame what is happening to Armstrong. Bonecrusher, I had the same thoughts on the retesting of old blood samples. I never knew they even hang onto the samples for any reason.
Modified: I know I have read several articles through the years that have proclaimed Armstrong as the MOST tested athlete in the world… and they have been negative every single time. That is what irks me about this retesting and 7 years later something shows up.

He’s been tested adinfinitum and passed every test. They retest a sample and discover and error – either in the first test or the second. How do they know which test is the one with the error. Instead of thorough investigation they knee jerk their reaction and try to strip him of his honours. They can take away the medals, taint the record book but, they cannot take away what he has done.
Out for now, catching a flight home. ๐Ÿ™‚

They can take away the medals

Try and take my handgun from me and see what happens. They will have to physically take the medals from him and I don’t think that is gonna happen without a fight.
I would like to see Armstrong now file a defamation suit against the slime that has been plaguing him. Tested as many times as he has been and always clean, now, unexpectedly, a dirty test just happens to show up??
The Nobel dolts award JugEars a peace prize after he has accomplished exactly nothing and the anti-Armstrong terds continually attack genuine achievement that is out in the open . . . . .yes, I think we have entered the bizarro realm.

Could the current jihad against Lance Armstrong showing up now be another big distraction orchestrated by the Obamabots to blunt news about the economy? The Roger Clemens fiasco trial took up plenty of news space early this summer…. No substance, but they don’t need substance to drive any agenda.

I wonder how much Armstrong has had to spend in the attempt to keep his name and rep from being sullied without cause?
There is a parallel in the book of Job; no fewer than 6 times in the first 2 chapters does THE CREATOR state that Job was a righteous man, without blame, ruined without cause, etc.
I agree that this is another big distraction from the central focus, JugEars is a national disgrace and the LSM groupies can not risk having their candidate be viewed as such because of the negative fallout on them.

Rod Dreher: Progressive churches fuel apathy
    * Rod Dreher is a senior editor at the American Conservative.

As a practicing Christian of the Hitchens sort (Peter, the good one), I welcome the news that more Americans are willing to identify as atheists. At least that clarifies matters. I respect honest atheists more than I do many on my own side, for the same reason Jesus of Nazareth said to the tepid Laodicean church: “because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth”.
Take this summer’s General Convention of the Episcopal Church, the triennial gathering of the main American branch of the Anglican Communion.
The church’s legislative body approved a liturgy for same-sex unions and removed impediments for transgendered people to serve as priests.
During the debate on transgender clerics, one bishop said the proposal, if adopted, would bring about theological confusion. Another rose to say that confusion is precisely why the measure should pass. As it did, easily. At a special communion service after the victories, a lesbian bishop of the church recited an offering prayer thanking the “Spirit of Life” for “disordering our boundaries”, and asking the non-specific, non-patriarchal spectre “to feel your laughter”.
Laughter indeed – but not the sort the liberal bishop was looking for, I fear. This is not to make fun of the dignity of sexual minorities, but rather to marvel at the way these
Episcopal elites run like lemmings off the cliffs of progressive extremes.
Like Wile E Coyote of the old Warner Brothers cartoons, one of these days the bishops are going to look down and see that there is no ground beneath their feet.
“America’s postmodern religious future would appear to belong to theological slackers who believe in a vague deity, who makes no demands and only provides psychological comfort. Who needs that mush?”
They are nearly there already. The Episcopal Church, like all of America’s mainline Protestant denominations, is in steep decline, and has been for decades.
