Tonight is my last class for the year. I’ve spent almost every Wednesday evening with just under 50 teenagers since last September. They’ve been lovely, heart-wrenching, irritating, funny, and, on occasion, thoughtful. I’ll remember each of them for different things. “W” for his strange questioning mind, “S” for his arrogant but sometimes funny attitude, “F” for her beauty and her pro-homosexual bent, “A” for her quiet desperation, “C” for her intelligence, “N” and “J” for their way-too-early bond to each other, and “S” for her quick wit.
They’ve been challenging in more ways than one. They give me a chance for the Holy Spirit to work through me. They’ve made me work harder at my faith. They give me love and it is returned.
I am so bad at remembering names, but I will always remember their hearts. This is the end of my teaching year, and I look forward to my break, but I also look forward to next year – and my next class.
I wish all of you blessings like these. Even though sometimes you want to strangle those little blessings!

The House on Tuesday evening rejected several proposals to slash spending in a series of votes that pitted younger Republicans against more senior GOP members who argued against further spending reductions.
The House voted on seven Republican amendments that would have cut $1.4 billion in additional spending from the 2013 appropriations bill for the Departments of Commerce and Justice, H.R. 5326. Members accepted just one of them… -

The judge is wrong in this case. I’m on the side of Twitter and by coincidence, the side of the ACLU and the Occupy Wall Street kook.
A New York state court has called on the firm to release tweets written by an activist who took part in the Occupy Wall Street protests last year.
The micro-blogging service disputes a judge’s ruling that messages are owned by the firm rather than its users.
The American Civil Liberties Union commended the company for defending free speech rights.
Twitter’s lawyer, Ben Lee, said: “Twitter’s terms of service make absolutely clear that its users ‘own’ their own content. Our filing with the court reaffirms our steadfast commitment to defending those rights for our users.”

Interesting commentary on identity politics:
My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my “Blackness” than ever before. I have found that at Princeton no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my White professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances underwhich [sic] I interact with Whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be Black first and a student second.
These experiences have made it apparent to me that the path I have chosen to follow by attending Princeton will likely lead to my further integration and/or assimilation into a White cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant. This realization has presently, made my goals to actively utilize my resources to benefit the Black community more desirable.
This is from the 1985 senior thesis of Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, aka, Michelle Obama.
Racist country. Keeping Michelle on the periphery of society.

Sarge mentioned this last night, but it bears repeating.
Sitting President Barack H. Obama only got 60% of the Democrat primary vote in West Virginia yesterday. Second place, with 40% of the vote went to this guy:
This gentleman, Keith Judd, 53, is serving 17 years for extortion at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution. He was sentenced in 1999 for making threats against the University of New Mexico and is due to be released on June 24 next year.
In other words, 40% of Democrats in West Virginia preferred an incarcerated felon from out of state who won’t even be out of prison until six months after the general election to President Barack H. Obama.

The big news from NC was the constitutional amendment that “narrowly” passed 61-39%. Perhaps more important news, NOTA got 21% in the Democrat primary for president.
On the other hand, ever since Obama’s narrow victory in the Tar Heel state in 2998 North Carolina has been considered a 2012 battleground state.
North Carolina is also a none of the above state. Voters in the presidential primaries have the option of voting for an unspecified candidate of their party. Although Obama was officially unopposed on the North Carolina Democrat ballot, on Tuesday 20.8% of Democrat voters in North Carolina selected the unspecified option.

Most young 17 to 19 year old freshmen landing on a huge campus alien to any environment they have known, surrounded by thousand of strangers, experience feelings of alienation and isolation and doubts about whether they belong or “fit in”.
When it happens to a white kid, it just means they haven’t matured yet. When it happens to a black kid, it means all white people are latent racists and American society is fundamentally flawed.

Greek left attacks ‘barbarous’ austerity
By Kerin Hope in Athens and Alexandra Stevenson in London
Alexis Tsipras©GettyGreece is heading for a clash with international lenders as the radical leftwing party that came second in the weekend’s election called for the ripping up of a “barbarous” austerity programme underpinning its bailout and questions mounted about the country’s future inside the euro.
Alexis Tsipras, the 38-year-old leader of the Syriza party that surged in popularity in Sunday’s poll, outlined on Tuesday a five-point plan to be put to party leaders as he attempts to build a coalition, demanding the reversal of fiscal and structural measures that have enabled Greece to slash its budget deficit.
Mr Tsipras is due to meet late on Wednesday afternoon with first Antonis Samaras, the leader of the conservative New Democracy, which came first in Sunday’s election but failed to form a coalition on Monday, and then Evangelos Venizelos, the leader of the PanHellenic Socialist Movement, or Pasok, which came third.

I don’t care if ownership is the individual’s or Twitter’s. It’s still unreasonable search and seizure.

TBO pulls out the race card against his own:
There was also bad news for team Obama here in North Carolina, a state Obama won in 2008 and where he’s holding his convention this year. Last night, nearly 21% of North Carolina Democrats chose “no preference” over the President.
Are they racist?
How do we know “no preference” isn’t a gay, black single mother with dyslexia and a glass eye?
Let the Democrats declare their own rural, working class voters racist. There’s room for them on the right, and as long as Obama blames his woes on everything but his own failed policies, that also works in our favor.
Gotta love that gay, dyslexic, glass-eyed, single black mom vote!

Despite what the Econobomber keeps spewing, there has been no European austerity:
In France, for example, the so-called austerity largely consisted of raising taxes. There was a 3 percent surtax on incomes above €500,000, an increase of one percentage point in the top marginal tax rate (from 40 to 41 percent), and an end to the automatic indexation of tax brackets for inheritance, wealth, and income taxes. There was also a 5 percent hike in the corporate income tax on businesses with revenue of more than €250 million, as well as a hike in the capital-gains tax, and closure of several corporate tax breaks. And even though most of these tax hikes were aimed at the wealthy, the middle class did not get off free. There was an increase in the Value Added Tax (VAT) and the excise taxes on tobacco and alcohol.
…
True, there were some entitlement reforms and spending reductions. But they haven’t actually occurred yet. For example, France will raise its retirement age from 60 to 62, but not until 2017! A cap would also be put on government health-care spending, starting next year. It is a little hard, therefore, to discern whether it is budget cuts that may or may not happen some day in the future, rather than tax increases today, that have slowed French economic growth. -

This is wrong on so many levels:
Rochdale grooming trial: Police accused of failing to investigate paedophile gang for fear of appearing racist
Police and social workers were last night accused of failing to investigate an Asian paedophile gang for fear of being perceived as racist, allowing them to prey on up to 50 young white girls.First of all, these men are scum. Just how scummy, you’ll have to read to find out.
Second, the paper itself must be afraid of being called “racist”. Here are some of those “Asian” names:
Kabeer Hassan, Abdul Aziz, Abdul Rauf, Mohammed Sajid, Adil Khan, Abdul Qayyum, Mohammed Amin, Hamid Safi and a 59-year-old man who cannot be named for legal reasons were yesterday found guilty of running a child exploitation ring at Liverpool Crown Court.
These names and their accompanying pictures are not “Asian”. These motherwissers are Middle Eastern pedophiles. Unless Mandarin is being spoken in Saudi Arabia, there is no way these people are “Asian”.
I guess they’re afraid of beheadings or something.

Geographically speaking, the term Asian is correct since Pakistan is very much a part of South Central Asia. Politically speaking, Pakistanis are members of the Islamic Middle East. It’s nothing new, the British and Europeans have always described these peoples as Asians.
Remember, Asia extends from the western edge of Turkey, includes all of Russia, and ends at the eastern edges of Japan.

Another illustration to prove that most reproters in the media have no freaking idea what they are talking about when they talk about guns.
Man, 84, shoots home invasion suspect with Korean War gun
Lets set aside for a moment that a “gun” is properly defined as a weapon that takes more than one person to operate. The term is in common usage and this can be excused. Several news outlets, including local talk radio, are saying that he shot the man with his “service weapon.” I became suspicious about that description when it was also reported that the perp had been captured and taken to the hospital for treatment of a neck wound. The standard service weapon used during the Korean War was an M1 Garand. The only treatment you get from a neck wound inflicted by a .30-06 round is done by a skilled mortician.
So what weapon did he use? It took some looking, but I finally found one report that tells us what it was.
According to police, Raymond Hills, 25, fled from the Elizabeth Township home just after 4:30 a.m. when 84-year-old Fred Ricciutti shot him with the German Luger he used in the Korean War.

The state sanctioned bigotry proposal that passed yesterday also paves the way to outlaw civil unions regardless of sexual orientation. Welcome back to the 13th Century, thanks to mob-rule political authoritarians. What’s next? Slavery?
The bolded part is either an outright lie or the result of woeful ingorance.
The language of the NC law specifically states that it will not prohibit Civil Unions or rulings of courts regarding those civil unions. It merely defines marraige as being between a man and a woman.

Not so. It specifically says:
Constitutional amendment to provide that marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this State.
That explicitly bans the state from recognizing any union other than a marriage between one man and one woman.

#56 Right. It still prohibits the state from recognizing things such as civil unions. Your bolded text is specifically for private contracts. If a same-sex couple wants to purchase a house together, that is a private contract. If one of their employers offers domestic partnership benefits, that is a private contract. The state has nothing to do with it.

TSA actually notices parts of a .40 caliber pistol concealed inside 3 stuffed animals (for the record, a teddy bear, a Mickey Mouse, and a rabbit).
The parts could have been assembled to make a full firearm, authorities said.
So what do our intrepid TSA morons do?
The gun parts–which could have been assembled to make a working firearm–were confiscated.
Astonishingly, the man–whose name was not released–and his son were allowed to continue to their destination after authorities concluded he didn’t pose a safety threat. The man said he did not realize the stuffed animals contained the weaponry.
Honest officer, I had no idea that the reason the teddy bear felt so heavy this morning was that there was a pistol in it.
But woe unto those who dare try to bring a snow globe on board.

The statement is correct. There is nothing in that state’s constitution to keep the legislature from outlawing civil unions. The completely unnecessary amendment specifically and additionally empowers the government to place such partnerships in a condition of non-recognition immediately.
I’m not sure if this is a false dichotomy, a non sequitur, or both. I’m easy. Take your pick.

I try to be objective about social issues and government authority. Perhaps I’ve failed in this case. Maybe it IS a right, proper, and necessary role of the government of a free Christian nation to define all marriage, and limit them to “Traditional Unions.” I’ll play devil’s advocate against my own arguments. Thank me later…
If the rationale behind North Carolina’s constitutional amendment (and similar ones in 29 other states) is to “protect Traditional Marriage” maybe the amendment didn’t go far enough…
A. Marriage in this Holy State shall consist of a union between one man and one or more women. (Gen 29:17-28; II Sam 3:2-5)
B. Marriage shall in no way impede a man’s perogative to take concubines in addition to his wife or wives. (II Sam 5:13; I Kings 11:3; II Chron 11:21)
C. A marriage shall be considered valid only if the wife is a virgin. If the wife is not a virgin, she shall be executed. (Deut 22:13-21)
D. Marriage of a believer and a non-believer is forbidden. (Gen 24:3; Num 25:1-9; Ezra 9:12; Neh 10:30)
E. Since marriage is for life, no part of this Holy State’s constitution shall be construed in any manner that would permit divorce, and no divorce from any other state shall be recognized. (Deut 22:19; Mark 10:9)
F. If a married man dies without children, his brother shall marry the widow. If he refuses to marry his brother’s widow or deliberately does not give her children, he shall pay a fine of one shoe and be otherwise punished in a manner to be determined by law. (Gen 38:6-10; Deut 25:5-10)

And with good reason. The only states that have redefined marriage are ones where judges overturned the legislation or legislators enacted laws to redefine. Every state where it’s been put to a vote of the people, the people have made clear that the traditional definition should remain.

There are checks and balances in our Republic specifically to address “mobocracy” so that argument goes out the window. Those same checks and balances also lessen the possibility of Bobo42-style royal and judicial fiat forcing on the many the wishes of the authoritarian few.

Gee this has been a ton of fun, but it’s also been a very busy day down at my Christian Nation community center. We started at dawn by stoning two adulterers and a disobedient child. At mid-morning coffee break we tossed a wall on some sodomizers, while enjoying lunch we watched a slave get beaten half to death, and we’ll wrap up the day’s activities at sundown when we launch some fireworks as we burn a couple of witches. I feel so patriotic!
I’ll see y’all tomorrow, provided I don’t commit a mortal sin between now and then.

#84 Bob: You are a liar, none of those things happened in your presence today nor are they remotely possible to happen anywhere in the USA.
I mentioned this yesterday, perhaps it needs some clarification:
Scripture, both Old and New Testament, state that homosexuality is a sin, a perversion and unGodly. I take Scripture at its word. If I vote for something like treating homosexuality as anything other than the sin it is, that makes me guilty. That is the position of a huge number of people in NC and the USA as a whole; if you condone/accept the sinful behavior as something other than sin you are just as guilty as if you had committed the sin yourself. That you, Bob42, do not view it as a sin is irrelevant, Scripture does and Scripture defines what sin is. -

Obama Hits Syria With Brutal Blast of Adverbs
Some critics say the U.S. has shamed itself by not intervening aggressively on behalf of Syria’s rebels and dissidents.
They’re wrong. The Obama administration hasn’t helped to arm the rebels, nor has it created safe havens for persecuted dissidents. But it has done something far more important: It has provided the Syrian opposition with very strong language to describe Assad’s various atrocities.
n.b. Jeffrey Goldberg isn’t exactly known for being a right-wing hack – in fact, he can usually be depended upon to comment very favorably on all things Democrat and Obama.

Howz about letting ME run the Inquisition next week? With all my recent HOA NAZI training, I would be a natural. If there are any glass-eyed cohabitatin’ Cherokee lesbians in my subdivision, I’ll measure the height of their grass with a micrometer, and then write ’em up a nice fat Deed Restriction letter! Worse than torture any day.

We knew that he wants to talk about ANYTHING other than the economy, jobs, or Obamacare. I guess he’s a real millennium man now who’s stopped evolving.Either that or he figured out from yesterday’s results that his base needs a bit more enthusiasm.
Here’s the deal, guys.
For the next 6 months, buys like Bobby are going to be all over blogs, Facebook and other Social Media, family get togethers and back yard BBQs talking about Gay Marriage. Its the only issue Barry has that will get him some traction.
Don’t play the game by thier rules.
Its the economy stupid.

Asia is Asia.
In Europe they use the term Asians to describe people from Asia. Frequently, they will use the term South Asian. The Europeans and British do not use the terms, Middle East and Middle Eastern, as often as Yanks do.
They always have.
There is nothing sinister or politically correct about it.
It’s real simple.

Ya kinda just made my point there, Bobo. Wanna bring up slavery to demonstrate further that the system works? Boy, you sure showed me!

Ahem.

Outsourcing pregnancy has become big business, transforming having a child into a “bits and pieces” brokered industry: sperm from a handsome Scandinavian stud; eggs from a smart, beautiful Ivy League woman; a womb-for-rent from a poor woman in India trying to provide food and education for her children; and brokers in the middle helping set up the legal transactions to build a better baby the 21st century way. Just this past week, London’s Daily Mail ran a story titled, “The Designer baby factory: Eggs from beautiful Eastern Europeans, sperm from wealthy Westerners and embryos implanted in desperate women.”

But everyone should be able to have a baby if they want one. They’re even more cuddly than a puppy! Why does it matter that we have to exploit others so we can get our new bundle of status symbol? Who cares if the extra embryos are discarded after their little brother or sister has been successfully implanted? I’m sure they don’t mind taking one for the team. It not like they’re actually human or anything.

Historically, it included Bhutan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. These were areas once under the control of the British Empire and, as a group, came to be called South Asians.
It can also today include people from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, the Persian Gulf and the Saudi Arabian peninisula.

Our Canadian neighbors got it right when the Supreme Court of Canada wrote, “allowing the purchase of human gametes and surrogacy services devalues human life and degrades those who choose to participate in such a commercial transaction”
I don’t know the CBC network’s position on abortion, but Canada has absolutely no restrictions on abortion. I’m not sure the Supreme Court of Canada is in a defensible position to determine what is considered devaluing of human life.

Elizabeth Price Foley is filling in over at Instapundit and she nails it on this really irritating chit-chat in the MSM currently.
I’M TOO SEXY? ONLY IF YOU ARE CONSERVATIVE: Does anyone else want to hurl over the fawning compliments the MSM is giving to Sec. of State Hillary Clinton for ditching her makeup and donning eyeglasses? A Washington Post blogger gushed that this was the “real Hillary,” the Hillary who was “relaxed, carefree-yet-ever-brilliant-and-hip”– a “fresh-faced” woman who looked “like schoolgirl.”
I’ll give the progressives for being somewhat consistent here–they really seem to prefer ladies to be unadorned, au naturel. It’s those mean, nasty men who force us to wear makeup and look pretty. I’m sure this (and not politics) is why Sarah Palin was excoriated by Salon columnist Cintra Wilson back in 2008 as ” a hyperconservative, f**kable, Type A, antiabortion, Christian Stepford wife in a ‘sexy librarian’ costume,” who was the Republicans’ “hardcore pornographic centerfold spread” and a “Republican blowup doll.”
I forget: Who, exactly, is engaging in a “war on women?”
Liz has got some of that sexy librarian mojo going on herself.

The sure-fire way to start a brawl is try and get a roomful of libertarians to agree on what they believe. Just look at what happened at their convention last week.
I will say the truly serious libertarians I have met and the ones I read are not near as obsessed with legal drugs and gay marriage as they are about economic freedom and the intrusion of Leviathan government into our lives.

Metrobarrysexual coming out will hurt him on election night. He had the homosexual and “coexist” votes already. What it will do is knock his support among blacks down a couple of percentage points from 98 to 96 or so. I gotta give him credit though. I figured for sure this issue would be one he would officially announce after the election when he had more “flexibility”. Good or bad, he owns it now.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s latest jab at the National Organization for Women has attracted more Facebook “likes” in 24 hours than NOW’s main page has collected in a little under four years.
Limbaugh’s new “Rush Babes for America” Facebook page – also known as “The National Organization of Rush Babes” — was open for public viewing just prior to the beginning of his radio program Tuesday. He announced it in the third hour of his show, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. EDT.
Twenty-four hours later, Limbaugh’s page devoted to conservative women had more than 33,800 “likes.”
The National Organization for Women launched its main Facebook page on June 17, 2008. At time of publication, that page had 28,146.

Club for Growth’s Next Target: Dewhurst
Fresh off a victory in Indiana on Tuesday, where favored candidate Richard Mourdock knocked off longtime Sen. Richard Lugar, the anti-tax Club For Growth is turning its attention to Texas, where the group is dropping $1 million on an ad campaign to help Ted Cruz.
The message behind the group’s new ad is clear: Conservative voters beware, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst is a moderate.
“The Dallas Morning News says Dewhurst has served as a moderate Republican. The Houston Chronicle says Dewhurst is generally considered a moderate,” say the ad’s narrators.
The Club’s TV ad will run statewide on broadcast and cable in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and elsewhere in the state. The new ad campaign also has a targeted online component.

It’s possible that the Democrat Corporatist Candidate made a wise choice today. The political wedge issue of same sex marriage has steadily lost traction with the VMG over the last 2 decades, particularly in the younger demographics, and his doing so might actually force the Republican Corporatist Candidate to make a definite statement on the “issue,” at the risk of alienating his already luke warm social conservative base.
I became less interested in the presidential election after the more entertaining hopefuls faded into obscurity. Since Texas is so much of a sure win for Romney that he won’t even be stopping by to pay us a visit, I’ll hang my chad for Gary Johnson in November. However, in the Texas republican primary I’ll be voting for Rick Santorum just because he’s so cute and sexy in his sweater vest, or maybe Michele Bachmann because she’s the closest thing to Sarah Palin and I still dream about the two of them getting it on.

But given the support the issue has among that demographic, he may be able to salvage enough of them to make a difference.

Wisconsin even better than we thought.
MU found that of the voters confirming they would be voting in the Democratic primary, 17% were Republicans.
We will never know the actual numbers per party since there was no exit polling.
Assuming that even HALF of that number stuck by their decision to cross over to cause some mayhem, that means that over 50,000 votes on the Democratic side were just devilish Republicans, bringing the total turnout to over 676k for our side.
If you go by the Marquette number, those “hidden Rs” swell to an additional 110k, bringing total turnout to 736,000: nearly matching Prosser’s share in 2011 for a primary.
There is no way to spin turnout Tuesday in the Democrat’s favor.
Walker won more votes overall than he did in the primary he faced in 2010- 360k out of 616k total cast (which was contested, mind you)- he won 626k clear this time. -

Like Haun’s Mill, the massacre itself is owned by Satan though I think the land where Mountain Meadow’s Massacre ocurred is owned by the Native Americans. Probably the Utes. That is, of course, unless that land’s been developed. In that case it would be owned by individuals business/home owners.

But given the support the issue has among that demographic, he may be able to salvage enough of them to make a difference.
I think it will, at best, be a wash. But more likely be a net loss of a couple percentage points.

Brought my Dad home today. He seems to be doing better. I know he will feel even more better after a good night sleep in his own bed. Now for all the followups with his regular doctors. My best guess is that his main concern is his kidneys. The doctors did find some problems there. That will be something Dad addresses in Houston. I am going to bed now so y’all behave.

Michael Savage said today, the real question is why did Obammy speak out for gay marriage today, the day after the NC amendment regarding the definition of marriage. As Savage said, 0 didn’t have to do it, because the gays were not going to vote for Romney anyway. Also, it has been clear since 0 instructed A.G. Steadman to disregard DOMA, and ended DA-DT for the military, where his sympathy lies.

Interesting stats. If you take the states that RCP has as toss-ups and have voted a constitutional ban on homosexual marriage (FL-62%, NC-62%, OH-62%, VA-57%, MO-72%, CO-56%), electoral votes are Barry 253, RMoney 264. Throw in a couple of “leaning Obama” states that also overwhelmingly passed amendments and it’s over.

Oh CRAP! I don’t know if I should honored or just scared! Just remember, I gave you the recipe that is in my head, and I do
adjusttweak it as I go, BUTT the salient points is to get the “white sauce” right, use med-high heat and stir CONSTANTLY, if it’s too thin add flour. Regarding the bread on top, you need to completely cover the top with small (thumb nail sized) end/crust pieces of bread and ½ cup of cheese may not be enough. I always put a little cheese on top then squish the bread in and add a little more cheese on top. Good luck, and remember my reputation is on the line! 😉 -

Any cook who samples the dish as it is comes along can get something tasty at the end, right? That was my method, back when I cooked.

Iron Mary, I make some real fine chili and I’ve had people ask me for the recipe and I have NO IDEA what to tell them. I can give them the basics BUTT, I tweak it for a couple of hours.
Also, I’ve been told by many “Texans” that my chili is the best that they’ve ever had, back when I worked at Hobby Airport I made it a couple of times every winter and it was always a hit. I’ve only made once at the “Rocket Ranch” and a bunch of the chili cook-off teams want me to join their group, but I’m not really sure it would come EXACTLY the same way each time so I always pass. Besides, ain’t no way I’m giving up my secret ingredients?…. 😀 -

I told DJ we should have charged at least $10 a whack.

In hindsight, I should have used Huck instead of Christie for that joke in the Lovitz post, huh? Ah well.
Mitt needs someone who can turn out the south, reassure social cons, appeal to disaffected blue-collar voters, and serve as a media-friendly attack dog against Obama. Hucktastic?
Yes, according to several sources close to the Romney campaign, who insisted on anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the vice-presidential search, the 56-year-old Arkansan may be included in the veep mix.
To many Republicans, a ticket with a Mormon bishop and a Baptist preacher isn’t far-fetched. “In a way, it’s almost a dream ticket,” says Ed Rollins, the chairman of Huckabee’s 2008 presidential campaign. “He’s substantive and knows domestic policy, and his personality wouldn’t overshadow Romney’s.”
For now, it isn’t clear whether Huckabee is going to be vetted, or that he’s anywhere near Romney’s short list. But he is, at the very least, being discussed…
The growing buzz about Huckabee within segments of Romney World delights social-conservative leaders and Huckabee allies, who have long hoped that Romney would reach out to the GOP’s evangelical voters with the veep selection. “If he’s not on the short list, somebody ought to put him there,” says Hogan Gidley, a former adviser to Huckabee. “He’d bring excitement to a ticket that’s lacking that, to some degree, right now. Beyond that, he’d bring a huge grassroots organization, and, to put it simply, the South.”
If this team is formed I have to admit that it is such that I never dreamed of happening. Huckabee would help with the South though I’m not quite sure how much help Romney would need to win the South. Florida could prove challenging but I think that state will go for Romney. I guess Huckabee could help to win Tennessee and Pennsylvania though.
And, wow, a Mormon and a Southern Baptist on the same team. I guess Huckabee won’t be talking about Jesus’ brother if he joins the Romney team and such a duo would make for the intro of a lot of jokes.
Oh, and hearing from Ed Rollins gives me the shivers. He’s a total campaign looser.

LOL, watch the video of Larkin instructing folks how to prevent a possible assailant from getting his gun. Do it the Larkin way and he won’t be getting any gun anytime soon…well, ever.
