Democrat election strategy: Crank up the Smugness!

THE HILLS are alive with the sound of liberal Democratic contempt for the electorate. So are the valleys, the prairies, and the coasts. For months, voters have been signaling their discontent with the president, his party, and their priorities; in less than a week, they appear poised to deliver a stinging rebuke. Yet rather than address the voters’ concerns with seriousness and respect, too many Democrats and their allies on the left have chosen instead to slur those voters as stupid, extremist, or too scared to think straight.

    NEW YORK , N.Y. – October 25, 2010 – President Obama is spending the next week crisscrossing the country in support of Democratic candidates before this year’s midterm elections. While the president may do a great job of energizing the base, he may not be able to convert any Independents who have yet to decide for whom they will vote. Currently, two-thirds of Americans (67%) have a negative opinion of the job President Obama is doing while just over one-third (37%) have a positive opinion. This continues the president’s downward trend and he is now at the lowest job approval rating of his presidency.

    It took less than two years.

    Good morning all. At least the overnight temp was lower, only 73 at 7am. Heavy ground fog that’s only now evaporating at the Sun’s fingertips. Please do not let that be the only moisture today, Lord.

    So early voting hasn’t slowed down a bit. What energy We The People have. What a shock that is to the regime, whenever they deign to let reality impinge upon their bubbles. Losta bubbles gonna burst November 2. Pass the popcorn that evening. It’s gonna be a show.

The subject, in that case, was voter photo ID and the libtard insisted that forcing people to produce a valid photo ID in order to vote would “disenfranchise voters”. My response, then and now, is that voter fraud disenfranchises me and that a photo ID would go a long way to prevent voter fraud; therefore the net disenfranchisement would be much lower. I got nowhere with that jerk and I reallyl did not expect to as he is a Harvard educated jack-ass.

    Just got home from the Oktoberfest @ work, I had two BIG HUGE Bockwurst dogs with sauerkraut, mustard and hot sauce. They didn’t have Horseradish?! What, where are these folks from, Tennessee? Oops,….yes they are. 😉
    I hurt myself! We also had Heineken, (not my favorite) and Shinner Dark which was tolerable, not to mention traditional.

    I just got back from a very sweaty class. Considering I needed three fans, it went as well as can be hoped. During our closing prayer, I noticed two kids having a personal conversation during the prayer. I went off like a rocket. I made the two perps pray the prayer by themselves, and everyone else got to watch. Then I let them know in no uncertain terms that by ignoring the prayer, they were offending God, disrespecting me, and insulting the class, and it was NOT going to happen again in my class.

    I hope the lesson was learned.

    I need your prayers for my results of a biopsy that we did Monday that the specimen is not cancerous.

    My updated driver’s license finally arrived yesterday so the first thing I did today with the license was vote. I voted straight Republican as there was absolutely no reason for me to even consider voting Democrat on anything this go around. I only struggled with the school board vote. I knew of one person out of the three positions up for vote. So I voted for that person and left the other two blank. Rick Perry, Dan Patrick, and Ted Poe all got my vote. Only one made me fully happy and content, the other two were the best picks available.

    I don’t live in Houston proper so I didn’t get to vote against the wretched Prop1.
