Tuesday We Have an American Woman Problem Open Thread

I keep thinking of the old cartoon internet meme of a beautiful young woman sitting on the side of the bed in which a sleeping Superman resides and she has a thought balloon over her head…

“I just keep believing I could have done better”

America has been sending their girls off to universities to educate them although education is not on the menu.  They have been indoctrinated by a dark, ugly cabal of academics who have turned them into anti-social, anti-marriage and anti-family female zombies.  Higer education in this nation has become a hostile, nasty and unwelcoming environment for our young men and it is time for it to stop.

From the Wall Street Journal:

Stories of women complaining about the lack of quality men have long infused pop culture—from “Pride and Prejudice” to Taylor Swift’s oeuvre. Yet women throughout history rarely questioned whether finding and securing a romantic partner should be a primary goal of adulthood.
This seems to be changing. Over half of single women said they believed they were happier than their married counterparts in a 2024 AEI survey of 5,837 adults. Just over a third of surveyed single men said the same.
I don’t believe this will age well.  Let’s give it 30 years and see where all these lonely childless women are.  Perhaps they will have children born from artificial insemination who resent their mother depriving them of a father and normal childhood.
But men seem more satisfied with their options than women. A 2023 AEI survey of college-educated women found that half blamed their singlehood largely on an inability to find someone who meets their expectations. Less than a quarter of single men said the same.
This is not about economics or income.  It is about political ideology.
The challenges of finding a romantic partner have been made more complicated by a growing divide in education and career prospects between men and women. In 2024 47% of American women ages 25-34 had a bachelor’s degree, according to Pew, compared with 37% of men. A bachelor’s degree increases net lifetime earnings by an estimated $1 million, according to a 2024 report from Georgetown University.

The Gallup Poll in the fall of 2024:

  • In the first period, from 2001-2007, an average of 28% of women aged 18-29 identified as liberal, three percentage points higher than young men. This period coincides with most of George W. Bush’s presidency, an era dominated by the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, including the Iraq War.
  • In the second period, from 2008-2016, an average of 32% of young women identified as liberal, five points higher than for young men. This period coincides with the political era featuring Barack Obama — first as a Democratic candidate for president and then as president.
  • In the third, from 2017-2024, an average of 40% of young women identified as liberal, 15 points higher than for young men. This period coincides with the presidencies of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, as well as a record increase in women — mostly Democratic — elected to Congress, governorships and state legislatures.
and this,

In 2001-2007, young women’s views were closer to those of liberals aged 30+ than conservatives 30+ on 63% of the issues reviewed. This increased to 78% in 2008-2016 and 87% in 2017-2024. Separately, the analysis shows that young women’s views also moved closer to liberals and further from moderates, with their more-liberal-than-moderate responses rising from 33% in the Bush era to 55% in the Trump/Biden era.

The same analysis applied to young men shows far less change in their ideological proximity to older liberals, moderates or conservatives than is true for young women. In 2001-2007, young men’s views aligned with liberals aged 30+ more than conservatives 30+ on 47% of the issues reviewed. This increased to 57% in 2008-2016 before sliding back to 50% in 2017-2024. In other words, on the whole, young men’s views have been slightly more liberal in the Trump/Biden period than they were in the Bush era, but less liberal than during the Obama era. This echoes young men’s lesser likelihood of self-identifying as politically liberal between 2017 and 2024 (25%) than between 2008 and 2016 (27%). The stability of young men’s political ideology suggests other issues or factors not reviewed here may be more important to their overall political identity.

The vast majority of pro-Palestinian rioters and protesters across the USA have been young women.

Addendum:  Boy, does this make my point perfectly.  There is no other demographic group in this nation more out of touch with American values than single, young, college-educated women.

I have the same information from a different source for a couple of days. Your video is better though.

That is interesting and if true could explain a lot of things. Especially Chief Justice Roberts rebuking Trump and defending US District Judge James Boasberg.
Being part of an organization with ties to George Soros goes without saying.

Grassroots or Astroturf? Phone Data Shows the ‘Fight Oligarchy’ Rallies Include Rented Activists

Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are touting the large crowds attending their “Fight Oligarchy” rallies hosted by as a sign that public opinion is turning against President Trump, but cell phone data reveals the crowds are filled with professional hired activists.

Data analyst Tony Seruga offers a detailed breakdown of the mobile phone data that shows many of the devices present at those rallies belong to professional protestors who are being funded by five major activist groups.

So these people attending the rallies are paid protesters; what are they when they engage in violence and/or property destruction: mercenaries? If they can reasonably be considered mercenaries, what additional tools are available for their prosecution?

Shannon linked to that story yesterday. Nobody should be surprised, but does anyone believe the Democrats are going to pull off another fraud on the American people, most of whom are highly skeptical these days ? First, with a demented Biden and then with the wholly fabricated campaign popularity of Harris/Walz and their bussed in crowds.

Our father went to Ireland on his last overseas trip and pretty much hated the place. He wouldn’t have recommended it to anyone. His opinion was formed before well before Europe and the British Isles decided to self-immolate with open borders in the new 21st century.

Sarah Hoyt posted this last night and if Conor McGregor doesn’t get elected to Prime Minister, the nation may soon become a total loss. The Irish fought a guerrilla war against the British for most of the 20th century and I don’t believe violent vigilantism is ever far below in Ireland.

An old Rush Limbaugh fan has compiled news reports and videos of what is really going on there. It’s pretty terrifying. The one that really struck me was the young public schoolteacher who refused to teach his students transgender ideology. A complaint was filed without notice to him and a judge decided to freeze his bank account with 40,000 Euros ($43K) and his salary.

After all these years, the K-Whopper is disappearing into history. It’s been a great part of Americana.

Back in the 1970s when I was a young auction hand, the company owner decided to replace the old Mack truck we had so he told our truck driver to go over to the Kenworth dealership on the East 610 Loop and pick out a conventional cab truck. We were told there was no limit on what we would spend. I went along and we chose a beautiful silver W-900 with all chrome wheels and all the bells & whistles. The bill came to $55,000.

Kenworth is owned by Paccar who also own Peterbilt. They’re based in a Seattle suburb and want to spend all their money now on electric self-driving trucks. Good luck with that. The Kenworth brand is not being discontinued. They are changing the whole product line.

The Global Warming Scare Hits Rock Bottom

Our friend Steven Hayward, late of the great Power Line blog, university professor and incisive thinker, wrote a compelling essay last week about “The Nadir of the Climate Change Movement.” If anyone should know about the state of global warming hysteria, it would be Hayward. Here’s how he begins his argument:

The prevailing winds are blowing not toward more windmills but toward common sense on energy.

It is possible that the Trump administration is going to deal the death blows to the long-running climate change hysteria and government hostility to fossil fuels, not just in the United States but around the globe.

The Trump administration has moved well beyond merely supporting increased oil and natural gas production. It has also launched steps to dismantle the foundations of anti-energy climate policy, in particular, a proposed reversal of the so-called ‘endangerment finding’ that gave the EPA jurisdiction to regulate greenhouse gases, which were never explicitly included in any of the various Clean Air Acts passed over the last 50 years. Trump’s EPA is also proposing to revise the EPA’s flawed ‘social cost of carbon’ analysis, which is used to justify costly green energy schemes.

Imagine a place where actual science is debated and lame-brained pseudo-science (Fauci-isms) is consigned to the ash heap of history.

I’m not as willing as Vance and Hegseth to leave something as strategically, critically important as the Red Sea, Suez Canal and Gulf of Aden as a shooting gallery for a bunch of 7th century murderers. I’m all for getting the Euros to pay for as much as possible, but to treat it as some local European transportation problem is stupid, in my opinion.

That region and maritime passageway isn’t some back road shortcut for the European spice trade. Safe and free travel through there is absolutely essential for the US Navy. Buck it up, boys. It’s not a neighborhood gang fight.

      C&C:

Nor did Goldberg’s high principles extend to other parts of the group’s private discussion that Goldberg deemed unclassified. Yesterday, the Atlantic’s top editor reported that JD Vance, in particular, said he was disgusted the US was even bothering to attack the Houthis, since most of the trade affected by Houthi mad-missiles and dynamite-laden drone ships is European trade. Let the free-loading Europeans fight the Houthis themselves, was JD’s rather pointedly delivered theme.

“I just hate bailing Europe out again,” Vance complained at one point. SecDef Pete Hegseth agreed with JD’s sentiment and went further, calling the Europeans “PATHETIC” (in all caps). “If the US successfully restores freedom of navigation at great cost, there needs to be some further economic gain extracted in return,” unidentified user SM chimed in.

They test athletes for performance enhancing drugs so there is no reason they can’t add sexual gender testing at every event. Donald Trump deserves all the credit for this.

World Athletics has approved bombshell new measures to protect female athletes, introducing cheek swabbing to determine once and for all if an athlete is a biological woman.

The global body’s president Sebastian Coe said the decision taken by the World Athletics Council was further evidence his organization would ‘doggedly’ protect the female category, and comes after increased pressure from US president Donald Trump.

No timeline for the introduction of pre-clearance testing has been officially set out, but the PA news agency reports World Athletics’ intention is to have the testing in place for athletes wanting to compete in the female category at the World Championships in Tokyo in September.

Conservatives Should Not Be Surprised by Justice Barrett’s Cautious Approach

Professor Josh Blackman wrote this critique of Amy Coney Barrett back in July 2023, about two and a half years after she joined SCOTUS. Barrett was nominated eight days after Ruth Bader Ginsburg died in September of 2020 and quickly confirmed in October.

I don’t know who sponsored her to Trump, who her “rabbi” was, but the sales pitch did not match her judicial and legal academic career. She was added to the short list for the RBG seat a few days after she was confirmed in 2017 for the Seventh Circuit. That’s weird and doesn’t seem to make sense. Barrett was touted as a crucial swing vote for conservatives and a protege of Antonin Scalia.

Republicans had a 53 to 47 majority in the Senate and there were other more qualified women candidates. Conservatives were deliberately lied to and so was President Donald Trump.

When Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh were added to the Supreme Court shortlist, their judicial records were on full display. Justice Barrett was just the opposite. She had zero judicial record when she was added to the third iteration of President Trump’s list. None at all. Indeed, she had been confirmed to the Seventh Circuit only seventeen days before the list was released! Moreover, when Judge Barrett was nominated to the Supreme Court, she had only a handful of high-profile cases. Her submissions to the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2017 and 2020 reveal her paper-thin record. Barrett lacked many of the indicia used to select other members on the list.

    and,

To put Barrett’s productivity in perspective, a group of professors measures the scholarly impact of law school faculties. And, within each faculty, the professors list the top-ten most cited authors. Professor Barrett did not make the top-ten of her own faculty in 201020122015, and 2018. I’ll offer another point of comparison. Stephanos Bibas, a Trump nominee to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, also served as a law professor between 2001 and 2017. During his academic tenure, Bibas published two books and more than fifty law review articles in roughly the same period of time. Bibas was also a member of the Federalist Society since he was in law school.

McCamey is northeast of Fort Stockton and south of Odessa. It is in the middle of nowhere. Our father graduated from McCamey High School in 1942, I believe. I’m wondering if this is the Kelton family out of San Angelo that owns this ranch.

A 200-foot-wide sinkhole is growing at an alarming rate around an abandoned oil well in Texas, according to the family that owns the land but not the oil.

The air around the massive crater in West Texas stinks of crude oil, and the Kelton family, which owns the ranch near the town of McCamey in Upton County, says they’ve been forced to stop using a separate water well amid fears it could be contaminated, according to local news reports.

The sinkhole, which at 200 feet wide and 40 feet deep could comfortably contain a four-story building, is said to be still growing.

This sounds like a safe, constructive idea. Whatever happened to all the talk about assimilation ? No go zones like Europe ? I think some Jews and Christians should go up there and apply to buy lots. Rumors have it the planned community will be Sharia Law compliant.

On Wednesday, Dr. Yasir Qadhi, a resident scholar at EPIC, revealed that because of the demand for lots at EPIC City, a Muslim-centered community that will house over 1,000 people 30 minutes outside of Dallas, Texas, EPIC has launched EPIC Ranches, two communities located near EPIC City that have larger plots.

“I’m sure many of you have heard of the amazing project that we’re doing, known as EPIC City,” said Qadhi, who added that the center is “constructing an entire city half an hour from downtown Dallas, literally 30 minutes from our own Plano Masjid over here. It’s going to be a city of over 1000 people.”

    and,

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has said “a dozen state agencies” in the Lone Star State, along with Attorney General Ken Paxton, are investigating plans by the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) to create a new Islamic focused settlement dubbed “EPIC City” in Collin and Hunt counties.

Newsweek contacted the East Plano Islamic Center for comment via email on Tuesday outside of regular office hours.

I have been very suspicious of this whole Houthi bombing/Signal leak “crisis” since it happened. Anybody in the National Security Council using the secure, encrypted app Signal would not have had Jeffrey Goldberg in any contact list, period. Now this…

So we know the Biden administration approved the use of Signal and set it up on government devices and computers. We also know that no one shared classified information, yet Goldberg, the mainstream media, and of course, congressional Democrats are erroneously claiming that the conversation discussed “classified” or “top secret” war plans — something that didn’t happen. Then there’s the fact that, as Jennings noted on CNN Monday night, Waltz, who created the chat, doesn’t even know Goldberg. “In fact, I don’t believe he knows him and has never met him,” Jennings said.

So how did he get there? That’s the real question that must be answered. Goldberg is not someone anyone in the Trump administration would have on their contacts to leak information to, as he has been a reliable pawn of the Democratic Party, pushing bogus stories to undermine President Trump. Something doesn’t smell right.

Meanwhile, reports prove that Democrats are less concerned about any national security breach than they are about trying to make this “scandal” stick.

This has all the hallmarks of a deliberate setup. Ever since the price of eggs dropped, Democrats have been desperately trying to find some “scandal” to pin on the Trump administration, and they think they can manufacture this situation into one.
