Friday Open Comments

A pleasant surprise at the Austin Airport was this life size bronze of Houston Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (1936-1996).

Jordan served with distinction as Chair of the United States Commission On Immigration Reform.

Here are some of her quotable quotes on immigration:

  • “For our immigration policy to make sense, it is necessary to make distinctions between those who obey the law, and those who violate it.”
  • “It is both a right and a responsibility of a democratic society to manage immigration so that it serves the national interest.”
  • “One thing is very clear: Illegal immigrants are not entitled to benefits.”
  • “…for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process.”

What happened to Democrats with common sense? What a contrast between Barbra Jordan and She Jack. It’s Friday and what a week maybe it’s time to spool back a little.

SO! Some black entertainer that I’ve never heard of has been having sex parties with underage girls and some my be sex trafficked for about 15 years. Everyone in Hollywood and all the power players in the Democrat party knew about it and many where part of it. Then all of a sudden the authorities get interested in it and start showing a tape of the dude beating the hell out his girlfriend back in 2006?! He is arrested and thrown in the same jail where Epstien committed Arkincide. Now I just heard that he is on Suicide Watch,…..I think I know where this is going.
BUT, I have a question, what initiated all of this? It’s been going on for years and just like Epstien he was given a pass and then Boom they go after him. Now that I’ve become a full blown conspiracy theorist/expert this just doesn’t pass the smell test.

Gloria Alred has taken a lawsuit against Mohammed al Fayed, former owner of Harrod’s. Harrod’s was sold to the current owners in 2010. 14 years later the schizzle hits the fan.
The case is going to be tried in England.

This may take down the HipHop/DNC/Hollywood music industry if it is all revealed.

Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs is/was a huge figure in the hiphop business along with his rival, Jay-Z. They’re both criminal thugs.

Some guy has had Combs’ late ex-wife’s diaries which were saved to hard drives. He was too scared of Sean Combs to publish them, but is now self-publishing the diaries once the indictments came down.

The diaries contain stories about drugs, rapes, sex-trafficking of minor boys and girls and Hollywood household names engaging in doped-up deviant behavior. There is also a description of Sean Combs’ predatory gay affair with an 18 year old boy who went on to become a very famous pop star.

Take a guess who that might be. Justin Bieber is reputedly “shut down” since all the news broke. There are supposedly lots of video of these things not in the possession of the cops and are being shopped around Hollywood.

Got my first post-op checkup today. I hope I get these stitches out. I got a lovely view of the yellow bruise that runs from the right corner of my mouth down my neck. I hadn’t noticed that one before, but it sure ‘splains a lot.

I had some gabapentin left over from my elbow issue; the doc had ordered a buttload of those for me since the pain had been going on for so long. I had already checked on the compatibility of that with Tylenol, and it’s safe to combine them. At 2:00 a.m., I was still awake in pain after taking 3 Tylenol before bed (around midnight), so I took a Gab. While it didn’t seem to help my elbow, it did help my jaw pain, so I was finally able to go to sleep.

I may have to repeat that tonight. This is the hardest recovery I’ve had to go through. The previous grafts and shoving of metal things in to my jaw usually hurt for a day or two and then it was manageable. This one is very different. I guess because it involved so much stretching of of the tissue, and that stretching affected such a large area: from my right eye, the whole cheek, and down my neck. Not to mention the surgical area itself.

I’ll be glad when this is all over. I’m taking another Tylenol before I head out of here in a bit. I’m trying not to take too much because I know that’s bad juju, so I’m judiciously timing my doses.

The executive order even had a special clause covering Dr. Phil Good in spite of all the mean things he said about Governor Hot Wheels.

AUSTIN, TX — Following the aggressive action taken by California against humor, satire, and online memes, Governor Greg Abbott signed an executive order to declare Texas a sanctuary state for memers.

The news came as a tremendous relief to hundreds of thousands of meme creators in California, who immediately abandoned their homes and began the arduous journey to Texas in search of the freedom to meme.

“To all memers out there: Texas will embrace you,” Abbott said at a press conference announcing the order. “No memer should live under the type of despotic rule and suppression of the right to be funny that we’re seeing in other states. I officially declare the state of Texas open to all memers who dream of creating sick burns and dank viral memes.”

Well, Dr. Lucena is pleased with my recovery so far, and when I told him the amount of painkillers I’d taken already today, he said that’s pretty good and better than he expected. I told him that he gave me a shiner and he said he wasn’t surprised. He explained that when the fascia tissue gets pulled, it affects all the surrounding fascia tissue as well. He ain’t a liar, I can vouch for that.

Well, he did warn me that there’d be swelling and to stay ahead of the pain. I didn’t expect Kong size issues, but I’m getting through it.

There’s still a gap in the tissue, which he expects to grow over, hopefully before next Friday’s appointment. That’s why I keep feeling grit in my mouth, which are pieces of the bone graft material. So, new instructions for the next week. He’ hoping to remove the stitches next Friday.

Soft food diet will be continuing….

This federal 2nd Amendment case has become very interesting.

This judge is making the same case I have for years. Gun control was conceived in the Reconstruction/Jim Crow era because some white people thought former slaves and their children would shoot them in their beds for vengeance. Gun control in America is first and foremost racist in its purest definition.

Thursday was the final day of testimony in the challenge to Illinois’s ban on so-called assault weapons and large capacity magazines, and U.S. District Judge Stephen McGlynn says he’ll issue a ruling on the constitutionality of the bans within a month. But McGlynn also may have dropped a major hint about how he’ll rule in his comments from the bench.

McGlynn was born in the St. Mary’s hospital across the street from the federal courthouse, near downtown East St. Louis, where the trial took place. He pulled up a black and white photo of East Broadway, the site of a Black neighborhood that was burned down by a white mob over 100 years ago. The riots raged on for a week, and left hundreds of Black residents dead and displaced thousands more.

McGlynn asked rhetorically, if the death toll would have been different had some of the Black residents been better armed.

“What if they had, not a lot, but…some of these weapons we’re talking about? Who knows,” McGlynn said.

First up, Mr. C. touts the rise in citizen journalism, this time from Steven Crowder. Y’know, because we can trust the MSM to bring us hard core journalism. /sarc off

This week, conservative independent journalist Steven Crowder released a hidden-camera interview with so-called “doctor” and sick pervert Jay Varma, who served as New York City’s ‘covid czar’ during the pandemic.

    Here are clips:
1-CLIP: Deviant “Doctor” Jay Varma describes taking his drugged wife to sex parties during covid while architecting lockdowns and mandates for the public (2:17).
2-CLIP: Degenerate Varma laughs about deliberately making life unbearable for ordinary folks with mandates, to coerce jabs (2:07).
3-YOUTUBE: Steven Crowder confronts NYC Covid Czar Jay Varma about covid sex parties and candid camera interview (16:54).

In clip #3, Mr. C. states: But there was one magnificent moment that provided great satisfaction: when Varma’s crestfallen face betrayed his sickening realization he was set up and had talked way too much.

I’ll bet that was a sweet moment for the CJ.

Crowder was careful, as he should have been, not to unintentionally defame Dr. Varma, especially over his degenerate sex life. Crowder reassured Varma he wouldn’t go there (while Varma insisted he was proud of his degeneracy).

    But I will go there.

The videos and his own words prove Jay Varma is a horrible human being, a total pervert, an adulterer, and the very last person you would want running… a major city’s pandemic response. In a functional society, people like Jay Varma would be driven away, exiled from normal life, put on a sex offender list, forced to slink around peep-show places like the sick deviant that he is, or preferably shot out of a cannon.

Tell me how ya’ really feel, Mr. C.

That was bad enough. Varma’s infuriating gloating over his public health powers proved he should have been nowhere near management of a Brooklyn KFC, nevermind of the whole City. It’s terrifying he somehow surfaced at the top echelons of the CDC and then New York City.

But believe it or not, Varma’s story is even worse. Much worse.

In his own words, Varma also bragged about his drug use, orgies, and sexual deviancy. He was not one bit ashamed….

Why izzit that the blue cities tolerate these kinds of humans in these positions of power? Being Catholic, I see the hand of Satan all over these things.

I agree with Mr. C. on his closing paragraphs:

Jay Varma is living in a hell of his own creation. He only thinks he’s enjoying semi-retirement and his millions in misappropriated covid cash. I pray Jay finds redemption in this life, before he dies in some unfortunate misunderstanding with his drug dealer or in a bizarre hypoxic orgy accident or something.

Thanks to Steven Crowder and his team for breaking this story, a story that corporate media refuses to tell. It’s difficult to quantify how much injury to public health’s nearly invisible reputation can be chalked up to the disclosure of how someone like Jay Varma could possibly float to the top of the public health establishment’s professional septic tank.

And there’s much discussion of the WBA and the law, much of which I’ll skip, but there’s this:

Fox’s story recounted Routh’s decades of run-ins with police, his fraudulent check charges, numerous firearms violations, that time he had an armed standoff with police, his traffic tickets like driving without a license, and even a 2002 charge for having an explosive device and fully automatic machine gun that both qualified as weapons of mass destruction under North Carolina law.

But —and this was the key point— … Fox’s story did not mention Routh serving a single day in jail. Nor did it mention any mental health treatment, …. The reason Fox’s headline said Routh played “cat and mouse,” was because despite arresting and convicting him any number of times, they never actually got him. Not really.

And … what was he doing with explosives and a fully automatic machine gun in 2002? Apparently, Routh got pulled over for an expired tag, and the cops saw his weapons when Routh grabbed one. Routh fled, and the standoff occurred. Somehow Routh never went to jail for that. The cops never would’ve found the gear absent the expired tag.

But where had Routh been going?

Retired Greensboro Police Department Officer Eric Rasecke, who knew Routh in North Carolina, said Routh believed nobody could touch him:

    Like Epstein “untouchable”?

In other words, Routh’s criminal history is consistent with the theory of Routh as an asset. Just saying.

To have that many run-ins without jail time…someone was protecting him. You don’t have an armed standoff with the cops and just waltz out of the jail. You don’t get caught with explosives and all the badges start looking casually at the ceiling and whistling mindless tunes.

There’s a column at Bearing Arms about a new study out on the effects of marijuana, particularly on teens and young adults.

Cultural struggles and battles rage on in the United States. What’s the joke about who won the war on drugs? It ends with “drugs,” being the victor. The push to decriminalize marijuana across the U.S. has led to a mish-mash of different policies. A recent study concerning marijuana use and youth suicide rates should raise some eyebrows.

    plus,

“The findings translate to nearly 5,000 excess suicide deaths of female adolescents and young adults related to medical marijuana and recreational marijuana legalization,” the report claims. “Given dramatic shifts in cannabis policy over the past 20 years, it is important for clinicians and policymakers to understand potential downstream public health outcomes related to changing cannabis policy.”

The study ultimately found that for female youth living in states where medical marijuana and recreational marijuana were decriminalized, there was a 10% and 16% greater risk for death by suicide, respectively.

An interesting thing also uncovered, was that in male youth, the overall suicide risk was decreased by 3% in areas where decriminalization is practiced.

Katie has it exactly right. And Kamala Harris is an attorney and former prosecutor who is apparently too stupid to realize you don’t make statements like that in public.

    Katie Pavlich

    @KatiePavlich

You know how I know Kamala’s claim of “being a gun owner” is totally fake and disingenuous? This, right here. The last thing a gun owner wants is for someone to come into their home and for them to have to defend their life with a firearm. It isn’t funny. It’s terrifying and a life altering experience. She laughs about it and says things responsible gun owners don’t say. Further, if you’ve done any kind of self defense education or training you know an attorney would tell you to never say this. I find this attitude revolting.

    WHAT ?!?!!

Who is leading the United States of America? That was the chief question that emerged after a confusing scene at the White House played out on Friday.

Things began with Joe Biden holding his first cabinet meeting in over a year, a timeline so absurd that it’s hard to understand how a bigger deal hasn’t been made about it. That wasn’t what set off the most red flags, though. Instead, it was who the president ended up deferring to. After fumbling over some pre-written notes, a visibly tired Biden turned and handed things off to Jill Biden.

    and,

It’s pretty astonishing that we are now two months removed from the President of the United States suddenly dropping his re-election bid while offering no explanation and not a single mainstream press outlet has bothered to ask for details. Now, we’ve got Jill Biden showing up to take over cabinet meetings and it’s still all smiles from the fourth estate.

Israel has announced that the Hezbollah leaders killed in the Beirut strike were planning to murder and kidnap citizens in a ‘similar manner’ to October 7, edging the Middle East closer to the brink of all-out war.

A spokesman for the Israel Defence Forces confirmed on X that Ibrahim Aqil, the Head of Hezbollah’s Operations Unit and the Commander of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan forces was ‘eliminated’ in a ‘targeted intelligence-based strike’ in Beirut earlier today. Senior operatives were killed alongside the top Hezbollah commander.

The IDF claimed that Aqil and the Radwan commanders were planning a ‘Conquer the Galilee’ attack.

Hezbollah confirmed its head of military operations, Ibrahim Aqil, was killed on Friday in an Israeli airstrike on a southern Beirut neighborhood. Lebanon’s health ministry said at least 12 people were killed and dozens more were wounded.
The big picture: The strike in Beirut is further escalating the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, risking an all-out war.

    • The IDF said Aqil was the head of Hezbollah’s military operations and the commander of the elite Radwan Forces, and claimed he was in charge of a plan to invade northern Israel. He was killed along with other commanders in his unit, the IDF said.
    • An Israeli official claimed the senior command of the Radwan forces — about 20 commanders — were killed in the strike.
    • IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a press conference that Aqil and the Radwan unit commanders were killed as they held a meeting under a building.
