Good morning, Sarah, on the right, is playing one of her favorite games with Rosebud.
what would that game be??? Maybe it’s called “tug-of-dog” 😉
BTW, two cuties you’ve got there
Correction: Miss Klaver is Dutch, not Danish.
I’m not quite sure how to fix it once it is published.
They all look alike.
Heh
She’s Dutch now, not Danish.
Everyone should spend the 14 minutes and 21 seconds watching this video from Tulsi Gabbard. One may not agree with some of her policy positions spoken of in other venues, this one, however, needs to be taken very seriously. The federal government under the Bidet admin has gone full tyrant and thrown the Constitutional protections of We The People out the window. They have weaponized the FBI, CIA, IRS, and others against us; 4 more years of this and none of us will be free.
Well Ms Klaver is quite attractive. BTW; I have mixed emotions about modern technology, some of it is great and some not so much but I just renewed my Hunting/Fishing License and all it took was to fill out the info on-line and then print it. The good news is that the total cost was Zero, Zilch, NaDa. In the great state of Alabama you can hunt N fish for free if you’re over 65. You don’t really need a Hunting/Fishing License if you don’t deer or turkey hunt, just your DL. If you hunt deer or turkey you have to have a harvest record and report the kill to the ACL, by phone or on-line.
SO! It’s Friday!
Mornin’ Gang
Dang I’m tarred already. Wife axed since her ribs are still sore can we get a house cleaner today, we just had hurry and clean the house for them. :shrugs:
😀 Sounds like my wife.
I feel good! 😀

What Really Happened to JD Vance in Erie by Salena Zito
While the national audience read about Afghanistan, what was not written but will definitely be talked about by voters in Erie was Vance’s well-received off-the-cuff speech at Team Hardinger, a local logistics and trucking company, where he talked about the dignity of work and the importance of community.
It was a speech that connected so well with those in attendance that one woman wondered out loud where the heck his teleprompter was, to which Vance quipped, “Ma’am, I don’t need a teleprompter. I’ve actually got thoughts in my head, unlike Kamala Harris.”
and,
Christopher Borick, political science professor at Muhlenberg College, said it cannot be overstated how important Erie is.
“It also cannot be overstated how important showing up and meeting people where they are and connecting with them on issues that impact their lives, like the economy, (is),” Borick said.
Borick said that while Pittsburgh and Philadelphia have larger populations than Erie, “it is counties like this and Northampton, Luzerne, Cambria and Beaver who will decide the election because, as I say all the time, in our state, it is the margins in those places that matter.”
If I remember right Trump won Erie County in 2016 and lost it in 2020. Eire County could decide Pennsylvania and the whole election.
We have to start somewhere and it might as well be Austin. This is great news.
The University of Austin was conceived in 2021 as a reaction to the woke, leftist culture that has consumed higher education. Bari Weiss of the Free Press joined together with a small group of open minded academics and laid the groundwork for what would be a more politically balanced campus.
The school is not yet accredited, but has already opened and enrolled its first class.
and,
University of Austin, a new higher ed institution founded by high-profile conservative figures, officially welcomed its inaugural class on Monday.
The university, sometimes referred to as UATX, markets itself as an institution born out of alarm over the “rising tide of illiberalism and censoriousness prevalent in America’s universities” and says it is committed to “the pursuit of truth.”
In his speech at convocation, President Pano Kanelos, who formerly served as president of St. John’s College, described the university’s 92-student cohort as “pioneers.”
It was a stroke of luck they were able to hire Pano Kanelos as president. Here is a brief description of St. John’s College. It is one of a handful of places like Hillsdale where students can still get a genuine education in Western Civilization and the Great Books.
St. John’s is known for our interdisciplinary curriculum where students explore 200+ revolutionary books from across 3000 years. In class discussions, we probe world-changing literature, philosophy, math, science, and more, with graduates entering fields like law, government, STEM, media, and education. The third-oldest college in the US, St. John’s is hailed as the “most forward-thinking, future-proof college in America.”
I am going to speculate that accreditation for UATX is going to be very hard for them to achieve as it represents a significant threat to the Leftist Indoctrination Industry, The LII people who are actually quite ILL.
If you really want to know what is going on in those Rust Belt swing states, read Salena Zito. She was raised there and knows the region like the back of her hand.
Good Friday Morning, Hamsters
Still overcast from last night, trees swaying their leaves in the light breeze, 90% humidity, so today must be the conversion day from that Canadian front. With that much humidity one swims through the air.
Kitty is halfway into the living room where I am, and rest of her is in the family room. She is asleep for now. Must be careful not to wake her. There is no doubt that she runs the house much of the time.
I wasn’t even aware of this until this morning. Associated Press has been a cheap fake, corrupt organization for over 30 years regarding politics and public policy. Don’t believe any AP story without corroboration.
The Associated Press claimed Republican VP candidate Sen. JD Vance said that school shootings are a fact of life.
Except, you know, that’s not what Vance said. Vance said psychos targeting children is a fact of life.
The AP finally retracted the article and admitted it took Vance out of context.
But even the “corrected” article and tweet aren’t correct.
Again, Vance said psychos targeting children is a fact of life.
Indeed, and that’s why we call it the Ass Press.
I do not believe any news media. When they make a “pull” quote from someone I start looking for the full context. All news today is and has been just opinion pieces or fairy tales. Back in the day i could sort of trust the buried parts of the story in the body. Most people read the headline and maybe the first paragraph and miss the crux of the story in the body. Not me.
All is not lost in the academy.
Electing Kamala Harris would be a ‘step toward totalitarianism, censorship, suppression’: professor
University professors have started a petition for academics to rally behind Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
The petition statement, a project of Professor Daniel Klein of George Mason University and Daniel Mahoney, professor emeritus of political science at Assumption University, encourages scholars to support the Republican candidate.
As of Thursday, 51 professors had signed it. The list so far represents a mix of emeritus and current scholars from both private and public universities, including well known institutions and state schools.
G’morning, folks! I’ve decided to break my fast finally, after 40 hours. Drinking my coffee (with cream, which breaks the fast) and will be considering a cup of broth and/or breakfast of eggs. No meat today, but I’m jonesing for some of that cooked ground beef that I have in the frig. I really like my skillet cheeseburger. Not today….
Here’s a link to fasting and what happens during a fast. One of the main reasons I plan to do this more often:
Another really cool thing that happens during Phase 2 is that the growth regulator called mTOR goes down, which opens the door to a process called autophagy.
Autophagy is one of the main benefits of fasting: it’s a cellular clean-up, which helps the old and malfunctioning cells to be mopped up and removed from the body. This phase is so powerful because autophagy removes cellular material that can be contributing to aging, cancer, and chronic disease.
We’re talking garbage like old/dying cells, deformed cells, pre-cancerous cells, plaques in the brain, etc. Basically, your body goes into Hoover mode, searching out and scooping up garbage proteins that your body doesn’t need or want, and putting them into a recycling phase where they are broken down and those proteins used to build new, healthy cells.
I saw a video of a lady that lost a TON of weight, yet she doesn’t have saggy abdominal skin, because she did a lot of fasting. During those fasts, she Hoovered up those saggy, excess skin cells and recycled them.
I had a friend who did a Biblically styled 40 day fast. He said around day 30 that he attained an astounding amount of mental clarity. He wasn’t hungry, either, once he got past the first days. I don’t think I’ll go that far, but he was really enthused about it. Don’t know if he ever repeated it – we lost touch over the years. Too bad, I really enjoyed hanging out with his wife and him.
I also read the story of a lady who was suffering from a set of health problems, and went to a spiritual health facility where she could do a 21 day fast under doctor’s supervision. (I’ve read somewhere that a 7 day fast resets the immune system, and day 21 is a “release” date for the body.) Anyway, she began her fast, read her Scripture, met with her advisor, and took it easy for those three weeks. On day 21, her mouth flooded with a metallic taste – dental fillings that she had gotten as a child had left metallic toxins in her body, which were stored in her fat and were triggering her health problems. She spit out all of that metallic saliva and was able to gently break her fast and enjoy her life, as all of her medical problems disappeared.
The more I learn, the angrier I get at the medical and food industry. Why weren’t we told this stuff when we were younger? I’ve taught my kids the worst way to eat. If I’d only known….
PS: One thing this doctor overlooked is the spike in HGH, human growth hormone. Fasting really ramps up the production of HGH, which is a good thing for body health.
In case anybody missed this…
Nicholas Biase, the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office’s chief spokesman, didn’t mean to out Bragg as a corrupt, politically motivated destroyer of our legal system. He did so in a private conversation with a woman who turned out to be an undercover operative for podcaster Steven Crowder. Instead of impressing his date, Biase ended up on Crowder’s “Mug Club,” ripping into his boss in front of the whole aghast world.
The too-outspoken spokesman has, of course, now apologized and backtracked, but the damage is done. Nicholas Biase showed himself, however inadvertently, to be capable of independent thought. Although he has rushed back to the leftist reservation and pleaded to be allowed to remain there, whether his masters will treat him mercifully or cast him into the outer darkness remains to be seen.
Crowder posted thirteen minutes of Biase talking with his date on social media Thursday. Bragg, according to Biase, was “just stacking charges and rearranging things just to make it fit a case.” Biase also says, at various points in the video, what he thinks of the case against Trump: “Honestly, I think the case is nonsense.” “It’s a perversion of justice.” “It’s a travesty of justice.” “It’s a mockery of justice.” As if that weren’t enough, he adds that “the whole thing is disgusting,” and observes, “That’s why he [Trump] is surging in the polls.”
Time for the C&C:
Good morning, C&C, it’s Friday! The Childers family medical adventure continues apace, so I’ve got a shortened roundup for you today. But to make up for that, I seasoned it with a little more conspiracy facts than usual. In today’s Friday Edition: everything we know for sure about the Georgia school scooting, plus some pointed questions about the remaining baffling, mysterious parts; demographic free-fall in Europe potentially explains everything we’re seeing in the pandemic of Western illegal immigration and government’s flaccid responses; and Trump deploys his 8-point economic plan to Make American Wealthy Again, which compares well to his opponent’s plan, which is basically just guffawing like a maniacal donkey on methamphetamines and pretending like the economy has never been better.
Dang!
who knew that when super Dave was much younger he recorded an album with Roy Clark’s long lost stepbrother, Chet.
amazing.
😀
I used to say one mans junk is another mans treasure. However with all the gender bending going on I am not sure that is a safe thing to say out loud.
C&C –
The shooter reportedly was reaching out for help before the shooting. His home life was a shambles, and his mother was a repeat criminal of various flavors, and could not have contact with her son. The authorities and CPS were repeat visitors, as reported by the landlord and neighbors.
Was this kid on mental health medications, like SSRI’s? That seems to be a common theme among mass shooters. There’s also been discussion about possible gender dysphoria issues, though there’s scant evidence for that. But if so, it would also tie in with the common symptoms among mass shooters, going hand in hand with the mental illness.
It’s odd that such limited information is available:
Bottom line: it is too early to conclude Colt was transitioning, although it would be consistent with his other mental health issues. But, for some reason, media has refused to print any recent pictures of Colt (except his mugshot), instead running what amounts to a small photo album of Colt as a child.
Twitter’s AI flat refused to even search for recent pictures of Colt, citing privacy.
My conclusion, after much research, is that transgenderism as one of Colt’s mental health problems is possible and cannot yet be ruled out.
Mr. C. highlights a headline that posits that anxiety and depression are on the rise among the young generation. No wonder. They keep getting hit with pressure to question their basic identity, fear of climate change, being labeled a victim or an oppressor, fear of dying from the latest microbe, race issues, et al.
The useless experts are baffled again. After what we’ve learned over the last four years about our spineless and effete expert class, until proven otherwise, I will presume that expert bafflement means the real cause of spiking anxiety and depression among young people is politically inconvenient. Thus, a generation of American youth must suffer so the experts can preserve their professional sinecures.
If our bloated health agencies treated the pandemic of depression among our own children half as seriously as they responded to the fake covid pandemic, might Colt still be attending classes? And might the two teachers and two students killed this week still be alive?
Good questions. They are awkward for the narrative producers, though.
Is it any wonder why the weaker minded white male yutes are lashing out? White hetero males have been openly targeted for 50 years in negative advertising, ‘toxic’ masculinity, and a basic denial of fundamental human sexuality. It starts in cartoons, continues K-12 plus university, most TV shows, and in other places. When you keep kicking the dog, eventually he is going to bite you.
Next story: infertility, aka “We need more babies”
The EU is suffering from low birth rates, way below the numbers needed to sustain their societies. (We here in America face the same fate.) All of the jabber about too many people killing the planet, etc., along with the pressures and conveniences of living in a developed culture that have created a sense of selfishness (“I want to spend my money on me, and kids are expensive.”) have resulted in a population collapse and catastrophe. This leads to fewer taxpayers supporting a growing elder generation, inverting the tax support pyramid:
Rapidly shrinking births might solve the alleged population problem, but they create another dilemma for perturbed EU politicians: an even more catastrophic demographic collapse. They call it the inverted pyramid, where fewer new taxpayers are born who can support much larger numbers of elderly retirees.
So, why aren’t politicians mobilizing their offices to reverse the accelerating demographic collapse? I offer you the C&C hypothesis. They are mobilizing to head off the problem—unofficially. One practical and immediately accessible way to tackle the inverted pyramid’s demographic dilemma is by massive immigration.
It’s the great replacement theory, kind of. Instead of replacing nationalistic voters (although that may be a happy side effect), they are replacing lost productivity. If you were an evil, anti-human globalist EU commissioner, the type of immigrants you would want most are young males, who in the long term are more likely to get jobs and less likely to further strain overburdened social services.
Gee, that sounds familiar. And it ‘splains why Western governments are supporting even the illegal and violent members of the mass migration tidal wave.
In historic case, father of 14-year-old school shooting suspect charged with murder
Georgia officials charged the father of the suspected Apalachee High gunman with two counts of second-degree murder Thursday — the most severe charges ever filed against the parent of an alleged school shooter. The arrest came less than 36 hours after two students and a pair of teachers were gunned down with an AR-15-style rifle that, investigators allege, the man allowed his 14-year-old son to possess.
I am having a lot of trouble in my mind. I am seeing what I consider a troubling trend. Yes parents are responsible for their children’s actions but where is the law that says they get charged with murder? AND what is more disturbing we are seeing the teenage shooter judged incompetent to go to trial. I see indications already that this gunmen is going to be afforded that “get out of trial free” card.
Just like with the Texas shooter I think the fix is in. Deep state needed an event so they find this kid and assure him he will not see jail and play on his emotions to shoot up the school. Seems to me there are way too many KIDS doing these violent acts lately.
I agree, you can accuse the parents of these kids of being poor parents but I’m not sure a murder charge is appropriate.
Of course the left loves these events because they can scream about more gun control.
“Gun Violence” is the left’s new Code Word, as if a gun could inflict violence on anyone.
I want to know what drugs was this kid on. There is way too much of the story that has not been told, thus preventing intelligent analysis.
Whoa. The sun peaked through for a while for the first time in many days.
Bright!!
I wonder.
does uncklo own the entire collection?
I actually felt a change in the air this morning. Wind from the north, and for the first time in days, I didn’t feel like I was walking into warm, wet washcloth.
I am eagerly awaiting that first cool front. My favorite secular day of the year.
Good to see the jersey boss man is feeling better.
guess he listened to his three drs, pongo, pan and bonobo’s advice of avoiding 2x4s and drinking one of these 3 times a day.
Super Dave
Be careful what you are aiming at.
😀
Spotted over yonder: I thought it was a Rat Snake.
And yes she got bit.
UPDATE: My I’d skills are evidently not as good as I thought. That is a baby Timber Rattlesnake. I’m currently in the ER now getting antivenom and pain meds.
And;
SECOND UPDATE: Thank you all for the prayers, comments, and jokes to make me smile! I am still in the hospital. May have to have a second round of anti-venom as the arm is still swelling some. The last photo, that I just added, is what I THOUGHT I was playing with. Second round of anti-venom now running in 2nd IV site, since the first one blew a gasket.Continued prayers appreciated!
Darwin Award Winner? SMDH!!! ~SIGH~
Squawk, my @ 1:34 PM is awaiting for moderation. I used 3 links, sorry. 😉
I guess Squawk fixed the Danish/ Dutch problem? .
Oh boy.
chipped tooth Roy released a scaaaaathing report on something so obvious that even a pull my finger republican’t can see it.
what? No sternly worded fax faxed to error code 403?
but of course when they actually had a real chance to do something about it by attaching a border security amendment to the last cr they didn’t.
instead the phony speaker preacher gave the ny Mayo stain everything he wanted including funding the sex slave trafficking trade to the tune of 325000 missing kids
and I’d say you can double the 325k figure because the corrupt government always lies about the real numbers.
they’ve been using the 11 million illegal aliens in the country number since 1990.
the pull my finger loser party rides again.
freakin clown show full of jokers Vampyres and jesters.
Unclear on the concept? Never Obsolete. 😉
That didn’t age well. My phone has lots more power than that.
My 12:32pm post continued…
And when the pull my finger party had the power to build a wall the joined@thehipkentuckyswampturtle shell of the party denied Trump the 5 billion requested.
now fast forward today where sending 150 billion to Ukraine every other day is peachy keen. They just view it as a smidgen more turtle food topping to top off the Kentucky Swamp Turtle’s daily slice of iceberg lettuce.
Making my way to San Marcos…I-10 is a zoo on Fridays.
What will the wascally wAbbott do? The wooden dummy- the Kenyan ignored the ruling on student debt.
my prediction is the wascally wAbbott will hide in his wAbbott hole.
Fixed it Dave. Post is up
Thanks
Arrived safely in the vast metropolis of Martindale, TX.
Next leg of the undisclosed trip involves heading to the Austin airport tomorrow morning at 3am.
I used to travel through Martindale every week. My favorite route from Bellville was:
2187 west to 159 through New Ulm-Fayetteville-Ellinger to Hwy 71 west
Hwy 71 to La Grange-Smithville
Smithville 95 south to FM 204 to Rosanky
FM 535 to Rockne and FM 20 to Red Rock to Lockhart
Lockhart take Texas 142 to Martindale-San Marcos
Beautiful Central Texas Drive
I was just reading they shut down the Sugarland prison in 2011. Nobody told me. Leadbelly would be very happy even though he wrote the famous, classic blues song Midnight Special about the place.
If you’re ever in Houston
Well, you better do the right
You better not gamble, there,
You better not fight, at all
Or the sheriff will grab ya
And the boys will bring you down.
The next thing you know, boy,
Oh! You’re prison bound.
What in the world has happened to Fort Bend County ? I know it has taken a leftward drift, but I didn’t know they got stupid too. Have they forgotten already over 200 people died in Texas a little over 3 years ago ?
This could be funded by the excellent new plan to construct small, fast start 100 megawatt natural gas plants to back up the grid at peak times. They aren’t even supposed to run but 30 to 35% of the time and only takes up a total of 8 acres for the whole facility.
SUGAR LAND — Nearly 300 Fort Bend County residents packed the atrium of the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land to make one message resoundingly clear: They do not want a natural gas power plant in their community.
The tense meeting, organized and moderated by the Telfair Homeowners Association, was part of what Mayor Joe Zimmerman called a “listening tour” to understand the concerns of the community. Residents filled rows of chairs and lined the perimeter of the room until officials determined the space was at capacity. About 50 people were not let into the building.
Many took the opportunity to ask their most pressing questions and express their fierce opposition to the project, a $146 million rapid-start natural gas plant. The city said the plant will provide “clean and sustainable” power to support the Texas energy grid.
FWIW; Fort Bend County is now blue, it wasn’t that way when my daughter and her hubby lived there, it was deep red. SIL was a Probation Officer for the county and said then that he couldn’t be one in Harris County because of the lunatic Judges. Oh and he really likes the Judges out in Midland Odessa. If you didn’t remember he is a Federal Probation Officer out in the Western Division of Texas.
What an excellent expose of the generational slime of the Cheney family. Deep state scum bags, the lot of them.
And I liked Dick Cheney. He has endorsed “What day izzit” Kamala.
There was a time when I would have voted for Cheney as president. I’m glad I didn’t get the chance to make that huge mistake. Hamous was once a big Cheney fan, too.
I’m angry and bitter as well Cheney and his family now are fighting to preserve the Deep State they have lived off of for decades. Go to hell, Dick.
In retrospect, Cheney was responsible, substantially, for our decades long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the loss of trillions of dollars, countless injured and thousands of lives. Bush and Cheney made the kinds of mistakes that will loom large in history for a very long time. The financial spiral of inflation began with Clinton’s DotCom Bubble, went berserk with Bush/Cheney war mongering and then turned into a bonfire with Obama.
Ditto’s Dick and Liz Cheney. They care more about the Deep State and it’s control of the country than the voters, you know their bosses. ~SPITS~
Man that fired catfish I had for supper at Our Place sure was good. Oh and since I was by myself I was glad I wasn’t waited on by the Cougar, she makes me nervous. 😉
Well Dawg got me up about 20 minutes ago and I can’t go back to sleep. So Shannon, it’s about time to rise and shine if you’re going to make the Austin airport by 3 AM. 😉
