This is why I have ghee, butter, tallow, coconut oil, olive oil, and avocado oil in my house.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER: THE CORRUPTION BEHIND SEED OILS

After five decades of inaction, the Food and Drug Administration revoked the authorization of brominated vegetable oil (BVO) in food on July 3, 2024. The additive bromine, used to stabilize fruit flavorings in beverages and sodas, has toxic effects and has already been banned in many places… Still, digging deeper, it is indisputable that there is a bigger problem than bromine. Deadly vegetable oils derived from seeds wreak havoc on unknowing individuals and are in nearly everything. Many believe these seed oils play a significant role in the proliferation of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, diabetes, macular degeneration, and neurological disease.

Like so many other products,… the road that led to the flourishing vegetable and seed oil industry in the United States is a shocking tale of bribery and corruption. The revelation that in the early 1960s, the American Heart Association (AHA), which has since established itself as corrupt, was reportedly influenced by Proctor and Gamble (P&G) to promote the idea that saturated fat—not vegetable seed oils…—primarily caused heart disease, should outrage us all. Akin to the deadly mRNA jabs fueled by greed and profit, this shocking manipulation of our wellness should not be taken lightly, as it has significantly impacted our dietary habits and health.

***

The author notes that saturated fats like lard and butter have always been part of the human diet. Seed oils were made part of the food supply when P&G had a vested interest in promoting its hydrogenated cottonseed oil product, Crisco, and other seed oil products as well.  How to do that?  Promote them as “healthy alternatives” to the foods that our bodies had been fed since hunting for food began, of course!  Dollars first!  So P&G found an “official” outlet for its propaganda – the American Health Association.  P&G hired an advertising agency to market their seed oil products to nutritionists and to home economists.  Presto!  A new health problem was created and solved, all in one fell swoop!  (Sound familar?)

***

As with all exemplary bribes, like clockwork, the AHA published its first official dietary guidelines for the prevention of heart disease in 1961. These guidelines… were highly influential. They became widely accepted by the public, as well as by health professionals and policymakers, leading to a momentous shift in dietary patterns, with many people replacing butter and lard with margarine and vegetable oils.

Quickly, for those unfamiliar with fats, saturated fats are stable and solid at room temperature due to being “saturated” with hydrogen atoms. Thus, they can withstand higher heat. In contrast, unsaturated fats have one or more double bonds, making them more flexible but prone to oxidation and rancidity. Polyunsaturated fats have multiple double bonds and are named based on the position of the first double bond (e.g., omega-3, omega-6). Seed oils, rich in the omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid (which is incredibly toxic), have only been consumed in high quantities in the last century. Saturated and unsaturated fats are necessary for the body. Still, growing evidence suggests that excessive intake of newer fats like seed oils may disrupt the body’s natural fat balance and contribute to health issues such as obesity and heart disease.

***

Finally, these “findings” are being challenged, and the scientific inadequacies upon which these guidelines were developed are being uncovered, like turning over a rock and finding the slugs underneath. The emphasis on eliminating saturated fats is being questioned and cast aside by more people every day.  The corruption behind this “healthy way of eating” is not well known, but there are more questions about the science itself.  As the dangers of hydrogenated and processed seed oils becomes more known, we can only  hope for a reckoning in the market place and a slow rage to take place at the lies that were sold in the name of “we are protecting you from yourself” healthiness.

***

“This truth underscores the need to critically evaluate our dietary choices and not blindly follow recommendations, especially in today’s corrupt healthcare climate.”

True dat. And the article goes on with similar accusations against the sugar industry.  Overweight? Cardiac issues? Diabetes?  The sugar industry pulled a similar fast one against saturated fat as the cause of health issues.  Kinda like a “SQUIRREL!!” defense of their products.  Sugars and seed oils are possibly the worst possible foods to put into the human body.  Evverrrr.

***

Vegetable oils, especially seed oils, are dangerous. They have high levels of Omega-6 Fats. Modern diets have an unhealthy ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fats (15:1 instead of the historical 1:1), leading to various health issues. Seed oils alter the composition of cell membranes, affecting their function and stability. Excessive omega-6 intake (from seed oils) triggers chronic inflammation and oxidative stress, leading to diseases like diabetes, cancer, and cognitive decline. Seed oils also contain trans fats, which disrupt cell membranes and increase with repeated heating. Seed oils frequently contain harmful chemicals like hexane and preservatives, which can be carcinogenic.

Cheers to the FDA for finally banning BVO, but that one action is not enough. Don’t just ban BVO, outlaw sugary sodas. But that’s for another day. Without a doubt, vegetable oils, including seed oils, play a significant role in the proliferation of autoimmune diseases, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, obesity, diabetes, and macular degeneration due to their inflammatory and oxidative properties. We must take health decisions into our own hands and forget the corrupt FDA.

When I was in high school, I had some friends who lived on Monarch Oaks St. in Spring Branch. It runs north/south between Wirt and Pech Roads. They were all ranch style early 1950s houses, 3bdrm, 2 bath, 2 car. garage places. The street was asphalt with bar ditches and no curbs, of course.

If you go to street view on Google Maps, and scroll down the street, almost everything has been knocked for McMansions,

I just looked at this typical old home there, 1618 Monarch Oaks, and I am stunned they value it at $740,900. This is a knockdown so they’re only buying the land. Hell, residential real estate is more expensive in Houston than it is here.

Well, ours won’t touch that but it is still crazy what they are going for. Spring Branch is pretty hot being near I10 and downtown.

Getting ready to put the parents house in Spring Branch on the market. Had a team of house cleaners come do a pretty deep clean today and loaded up remaining items of junk (not much at all) in my truck, yard guy came and mowed, picked up storm debris – wasn’t bad. Wife is handling the sale (gratis), photographer coming at ten in the morning and we go live later this week. Place is decent but too much wrong with it for anyone to get a loan on it, and we ain’t paying for repairs to get it up to snuff. It will be a tear down/gutting out/ rebuild anyway, so, cash only, as is. It will fetch a decent amount, even from an investor. A bit more than the 19K mom bought it for in 1972. lol

The collection of ‘don’t do thats’ that had to fall into place for even the first shot to have taken place is too high to be a coincidence.

It would be interesting to look back in a parallel universe type thing in how the FIB/media response would have been if the shooter had not been seen by so many people, and on camera. Say, some reports by attendees who said they saw some muzzle flash from “up there” but could not be confirmed.

I’m not sure where I saw it, but there was some intel that the Secret Service pulled manpower away from Trump’s detail to accompany Jill on some trip to speak to 25 people somewhere.

It was also pointed out the crew on the stage with Trump had not worked together and several of the regular agents had taken the day off after working 7+ days. The swarm of agents on the stage after Trump was shot looked awkward and disorganized because they had never drilled together according to the source.

    1. Tedtam Avatar

And then there’s the denial of agent staffing from Mayorkas. Trump’s team was getting worked to death because they were short-handed and Trump’s a machine that never quits.

I don’t know, man. When I go onto almost all the conservative commentary and news sites today I have to play whack-a-mole with all the pop-up ads and intruding video screens and then try to avoid the nausea from toe fungus and irritable bowel disease ads. It seems to me putting up with one little pop-up on Hambone is a very small price to pay these days.

I agree that many sites are simply polluted with popups and side bar ads that wiggle and flash. I view all these types of ads as extremely negative and totally unnecessary; they give me a negative reason to purchase the product; they are an interruption, rude, and counter productive. This is my opinion and is not intended to be inflammatory.

So now they cure it. Fay spent most of her life suffering from lupus.

Insufficient activation of this pathway, controlled by the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR), results in an overproduction of immune cells that attack the body itself rather than foreign invaders, researchers said.

By fully activating this immune system response, “we can reduce the number of these disease-causing cells,” said researcher Dr. Jaehyuk Choi, an associate professor of dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

“If these effects are durable, this may be a potential cure,” Choi added in a Northwestern news release.

Lupus occurs when the immune system turns on the body, causing systemic inflammation that can result in life-threatening damage to organs like the kidneys, heart and brain.

Existing treatments have focused on suppressing the immune system, which left patients vulnerable to dangerous infections.

I Was Four Feet Away When I Heard the Bullets’
A gunman tried to assassinate Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
    Salena Zito was there.

BUTLER, PENN. — As soon as he saw me, he shook my hand.

It was that thing that all electeds do—the familiarity, the warmth, or the faux-warmth—but he’s better. It feels like he means it.

“Salena, it’s so great to see you. How are you doing? How are all those grandkids?”

Donald Trump always remembers my grandkids. I have four. Last time I talked to him, over the phone in the spring, I told him about my latest, Rocco. He replied, “I love my grandkids, too. I love being around them.”

It was just before six o’clock on Saturday when he greeted me. He was about to go onstage for a rally about 50 miles from my hometown of Pittsburgh. Inside the tent with me were forty local cops—men and women.

Many of them told him they were looking forward to him being president.

“Thank you so much for your service,” he said.

He was in great spirits. At rallies like these, he always is.

This is totally new news to me. Wow. I have sleep apnea and have been using a C-PAP machine since February. They had been hounding me from the HUMC medical center to get tested since I had a heart attack 2-1/2 years ago.

Sleep apnea is particularly dangerous for the heart health of young adults, even more so than in older folks, a new study warns.

The link between sleep apnea and risk factors for heart disease is stronger in people between 20 and 40 years of age than in those 40 and older, researchers reported recently in the Journal of the American Heart Association.

For example, young adults with sleep apnea had a 45% increased risk of high blood pressure, compared with a 10% increased risk in older people, results show.

Likewise, sleep apnea increased the risk of diabetes by 33% in young adults compared with 12% in middle-aged and older folks, and the risk of metabolic syndrome by 25% versus 7%, researchers found.

More questions from Mr. C., this time about the officer who climbed a ladder, received the business end of the shooter’s rifle, and unceremoniously retreated down said ladder.

Either way, quickly, so fast it all happened before the officer could do anything, the story says after threatening the laddered officer, in the span of a few seconds, Thomas the Shooter returned to his ‘post,’ coolly aimed his rifle (not sniper gear), calculated the wind speed factors, and immediately took his shots, showing the kind of clear thinking under pressure normally attributed to combat veterans and not unemployed drifters. Then Secret Service agents blew Thomas’ brains out, and that was that.

But wait. How did that giant ladder get there? The article was 100% silent on that score. Are they telling us this unemployed 20-year-old brought a long gun and a giant ladder in his small car and then carried them from the parking lot to the building without anyone noticing? Or did Thomas perhaps set up his ladder ahead of time, like the day before the event? If so, how did security miss a stray ladder leaning against a building that also happened to be the closest elevated vantage to the rally?

If the young, unemployed drifter’s planning was sufficiently sophisticated that he placed the ladder ahead of time, how did he know security would miss the ladder, on which the entire plan depended? And how did he know the roof would remain unguarded? These seem like critical unanswered questions contradicting the FBI’s conclusion that Thomas “appears to have acted alone.”

But what do I know? I’m just a lawyer, not an FBI assassination investigator. But as a lawyer, it’s way too early to say he acted alone.

RE: the shooter (from the C&C)

Say what you want about the FBI, but they work fast. The Trump Assassination investigation is almost done! Bloomberg ran a story late yesterday headlined, “FBI Says Trump Rally Shooter Appears to Have Acted Alone.” So there you go. Quit whining, it was just another lone gunman scenario. America apparently has lone gunmen like coyotes have fleas.

Here’s what the FBI has come up with so far: nothing. Remember Die Hard?

HANS GRUBER: You asked for miracles, Theo? I give you the F-B-I.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been unable to penetrate the wily defenses on Thomas Matthew Crooks’s cell phone. It keeps asking for a passcode! The feds have no idea how Thomas, 20, got hold of his father’s gun. They don’t even know who to ask. Baffled agents are scratching their heads over what motive could possibly have led Thomas to create an elaborate and successful plan to penetrate the Secret Service’s defenses at Saturday’s rally.

FBI investigators also remain clueless as to why Thomas had a rudimentary bomb in his car trunk, or what it was intended for, if Thomas knew he was taking a one-way trip to the terminated assassins’ club? Why bring the bomb? No reason!

For additional reassurance, the article quoted FBI Director Chris Wray and DOJ chief Merrick “Grandma” Garland, neither of whom said anything useful. This take may be a little hard on the FBI, since they’ve only had one day —Sunday!— to work on the case, except for the fact that they  already concluded Thomas worked alone, which makes them fair game for merciless mocking.

News on the GoFundMe for the families involved in the shooting:

FUND-RAISER: I’d planned to order a second multiplier today for the two wounded rally attendees and for the family of the tragically killed rallygoer, Corey Comperatore. But Fox News ran a terrific story last evening headlined, “GoFundMe ‘authorized’ by Trump for Butler, PA, victims exceeds $3m; Vivek Ramaswamy donates $30k.” Shortly after the shooting, President Trump’s campaign had already launched a GoFundMe supporting the victims and their families.

That says volumes about the impact of this shooting on the political environment.

    Ruth Westheimer was a sniper.

When Karola Ruth Siegel was sent to Switzerland at age 10 while her parents remained in Germany in 1938. Her father was sent to Dachau and then Auschwitz, where he was killed in the Shoah (The Holocaust). Her mother disappeared without a record being made by the Germans. At the end of WW2, Karola moved to Mandatory Palestine, which was an English possession and had been since the end of WW1. She also began using her middle name, Ruth.

Ruth joined the Haganah, a paramilitary force formed to protect Jews in the territory and the forerunner of the Israeli Defense Force. Haganah took the lead in the rebellion against the English occupation forces and became the core of the military after Israeli independence in 1948. Ruth was only 4 feet, 6 inches tall and this is apparently the primary reason why she was trained as a sniper. Before she ever went into combat during the 1948 War, the house she was staying in was hit by mortar fire from the Arab army attacking Jerusalem in June, 1948. Ruth was badly wounded, temporarily paralyzed, and nearly lost both her feet. She spent the rest of the 1948 War recovering from her wounds.

If we get a new AG, then these companies can be sued under anti-trust laws already on the books.

You probably never heard of GARM. It’s the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, which describes its mission as “a cross-industry initiative established by the World Federation of Advertisers to address the challenge of harmful content on digital media platforms and its monetization via advertising.” WFA members include global brands such as McDonald’s, Exxon, Visa, Adidas and dozens more.

What could be wrong with preventing “harmful” digital content? You and I may have been born at night, but we weren’t born last night. We are so old we remember how various “anti-disinformation” entities actually served to silence online speech with which they disagreed.

The hook with GARM is that it does so by wielding the power of the largest advertisers on the planet to deprive unapproved content and platforms of advertising revenue.

This strategy bypasses pressuring Google, Bing, Facebook and social media by directly choking off billions in advertising dollars to conservative websites. Here is the list of members in this Orwellian cabal.

RIP Dr Ruth and Richard Simmons. There has got to be a joke in here somewhere. But I’ll just say I am amazed at the social impact that these two people had.

Founder of Blackwater security company, Erik Prince:

As the graphics show the full value wind of just 5mph was enough to displace the unconfirmed but likely light 55 grain bullet two inches from DJT’s intended forehead to his ear.

DJT was not saved by USSS brilliance. The fact that USSS allowed a rifle armed shooter within 150yds to a preplanned event is either malice or massive incompetence. Clearly there was adequate uncontrolled dead space for a shooter to move into position and take multiple aimed shots. Watching the newsreel one can hear how proximate the shooter is by the very short time lapse between the crack of arriving bullet (supersonic) to the boom of muzzle blast (sonic).

The law enforcement sniper (unclear if USSS) in newsreels was clearly overwhelmed as his face came off his rifle instead of doing his job to kill the shooter. Clearly they were watching the shooter but apparently have a no “first shot” policy. The only positive action was an apparent 488yd shot by one USSS sniper which despatched the assasin but after the assassin launched at least 5 rounds, wounding DJT and killing and severely others in the crowd.

I’m going to assume “488” is a typographical error.

I won’t be satisfied until they ban high fructose corn syrup. That stuff is Satanic.

June 21 1955. Sam Gray, David Rutford and Fred Hallberg begin their cruise down the Mississippi river from Saint Paul Minnesota on a homemade raft. The raft was built of barrels and planks. Power for the propeller was provided by a 1939 Chevrolet they had paid $ 15 for. the car had 172,000 miles on it. The rear wheels of the car ran against another set of wheels which turned the propeller. The car’s steering wheel turned the raft’s rudder.
In Saint Louis Missouri the men had a delay as the Chevy’s valves needed to be ground. Outside of Memphis Tennessee a bearing on the propeller shaft burned out but the men were able to repair it with tools borrowed from a barge crew. The men ran low on food as they discovered a stowaway was eating their food. The stowaway was a rat. The men tried fishing for food but caught nothing the entire trip.
Other problems encountered included mosquitoes, driftwood in the river and backwash from passing barges. On July 25 1955 the trio reached New Orleans. They planned to drive the Chevrolet back to Minnesota.
Epilogue. The three men made it back to Saint Paul driving the Chevrolet in 49 hours. The car used five gallons of oil for the return drive.

Super Dave, Shannon was a so-called actress whose only claim to “fame” that I could find was that she “starred” in Beverly Hills 90210…

So I guess that the Trump assassination takes Biden off the front page for a while? Seems a little brutal to me. Yanno’ after all the Lawfair backfired on the left and Trumps numbers went up but then they got their conviction, 34 felonies! Didn’t move the needle! And THEN Biden strapped a couple of hand grenades to his chest and went out and blew himself up on national TV in the debate my wife said; “I guess that they’ll have to kill him now, what else can they do”? I kid you not she said this a few days after the debate when Biden was stumbling around trying to tell his followers that they didn’t see what they saw.
    I wonder what today brings?
    Well, it’s Monday!
