WASHINGTON, D.C. — Former President Trump made a surprise appearance at the Libertarian Party Convention yesterday, but was met with a chorus of boos after the dozens of libertarians present realized Trump was wearing deodorant.“Boo! He smells good! Boo!” screamed Libertarian Party member Johnna Lundqvist. “It’s very pleasant smelling, and I don’t like it! Boooo!” and later the Libertarians finally… Read more »

Dang, now I’m looking at Traeger pellet grills. They have a smaller one called the Tailgater I might consider later on. Right now, I have too many other things to think about though. My daughter in Oregon has the Traeger Ranger model and loves it, but it’s a bit small for me.

Mr. Childers gives an outstanding essay on this Memorial Day at the C&C.

I suggest you read it.

This is a very strange story and we’re not getting any answers. Additionally, no one has explained why law enforcement let one of these illegals loose after being involved in this bizarre behavior. Reports say two Chechen men who spoke only broken English were on the property in two locations. A scuffle broke out between the colonel and Ramzan Daraev,… Read more »

Every time I see a Tunnels to Towers ad, it reminds me of all those soldiers, airmen and sailors in earlier wars who would have survived their combat injuries if we had the field medics, Evac capabilities and forward based trauma units like we have developed over the last 30 years. It’s heartbreaking to watch some of these men with… Read more »

My propane oven/smoker burner burned out a couple years ago, parts not available. I finally got around to rigging up an extra burner I had laying around, it was way easier than I figured, don’t know why I put it off so long. Love that thing, you can easily control the temps and gives a nice smoke with the wood… Read more »

I don’t feel much like cooking, though I have some ribs and coals. I think I’m going to pull some cooked ribs out of the freezer for Hubby.

Got my gardening done. Today’s efforts: more green beans, one tomato (a few more to come in soon), trimming the yellow leaves, and putting up some shade over some of the tubs. I really don’t have the right stuff, so I’ll just have to see if what I raised stays in place. Hubby came out with his tape measure and… Read more »

Good early afternoon, Hamsters

Indeed today is a special day to remember those who gave their all so that it now is possible for us to sit at our computers and read the history of those Americans who made it happen.

Why would anybody trust these wicked fools ? No deal. That was the message for World Health Organization (W.H.O.) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Friday after his proposed global pandemic treaty was rejected after two years of closed-door meetings in Geneva, Switzerland.AP reports Roland Driece, co-chair of W.H.O.’s negotiating board for the agreement, acknowledged countries were unable to deliver an agreed proposal.… Read more »

Thanks to those who fell for me. Thanks to those who were wounded for me. It is through their blood and suffering that my rights are preserved ( until a lawmaker threatens to remove them).

God bless the families who sacrificed their family members and who bear that sorrow.

Well, in local news the UAW is unhappy with the outcome of the vote at the Mercedes plant in Vance Alabama and wants another vote blaming the Mercedes management of some sort of chicanery.…SO! Let’s analyze this; The vote was fair and square, the UAW lost, isn’t happy about it and is crying foul. The ONLY logical conclusion is that… Read more »

Reposting this from Saturday: Can Americans Still Mourn as Americans ? For the first time in more than a century, Memorial Day will be observed with a gaping hole in our national memory. To honor the Confederate dead was as sure a declaration of victory as the Union could have mustered: to insist that these Southern boys were sons of… Read more »
