Let’s Pray
Prayer For Easter
Praise You Father, for the atoning death and glorious resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We thank You, Father, that Christ was risen from the dead and is seated today at the right hand of the majesty of high, having won the final victory over sin, Satan and death.
Thank You, that Christ has become the first-fruit of a great harvest of souls, who have fallen asleep in Him. Thank You, that all who belong to Christ, have been given the forgiveness of their sins and received newness of life in Him and will one day be raised from the grave, to live for evermore with You in heavenly places.
Thank you, that by the cross and resurrection of Christ every ruler, authority, principality and power have been placed under His supreme authority and rule, and that Christ Himself shall reign until He has humbled all His enemies beneath His feet.
All power and glory, might and majesty, dominion and power be unto Him that sits upon the throne, for ever and ever, In Jesus name I pray
Amen.
Here’s wishing that all goes well for the knee replacement. I’ve had a knee replacement for 5 years or so. The physical therapy afterwards is work, but necessary work, to get the most benefit from the surgery. Not to get discouraged. And don’t hesitate to ask questions. May all the best outcome be the result.
Walker ordered, pre-op physical set for tomorrow… new knee to be installed just before our anniversary… Is 28 years the titanium anniversary??? 😉
Well the girls caught the wayward hen and sister clipped one wing so she can’t fly out again. It’s good to have experienced chicken farmers on the payroll,…oh wait! 😀
I made pasta primavera for the boys tonight. I sent Handsome home with a container full for a meal later on. He’s been eating a lot of HEB’s prepared meals in lieu of home cooking. Lovely DIL returns in August, and he’s very eager for her return.
Falling off the bone St Louis Ribs, Baked Beans, Green Salad, Rolls and Sister’s world famous Tater Salad. Good stuff Maynard! Oh and I hurt myself. BTW; The girls went to see if they could round up our wayward White Rock hen that’s been out for 2 days. They may be in luck though since the hen has decided she… Read more »
I have visited some amazing cathedrals. But have not made St.Patrick’s nor the National Cathedral in D.C.
Mere pictures of St. Patrick’s Cathedral do not do it justice. We had visited it years ago on a cruise covering the US Northeast states and a smidge of eastern Canada. It was not to be missed in the brief visit to NYC. Magnificent barely describes it. It can certainly hold its own with the Gothic cathedrals of Europe. The… Read more »

I predict a long long blog nap time after the consuming of large quantities of hollow chocolate Easter bunnies takes place.
see ya back here around 6:30pm before bedtime at 8pm.;)
Happy Easter folks.
Journalists wonder why people hate them and then we get amazing displays of arrogance and condescension from a BBC fool like this. I’d like to introduce you to Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana. What he did in the face of climate activism being thrown at him has now gone viral (almost 3 million views on the video below) and it… Read more »
Yesterday, I came across article from the old socialist Jewish tabloid, The Forward, in which former Israeli ambassador to America Michael Oren was interviewed and raved about a speech Biden gave at the beginning of the Hamas War. He should have known better. Oren, who I believe is one of the smartest guy in Israel, still falls into the trap… Read more »
Reminds me of the guy that used a .22 shell to replace an old-style fuse in his pickup. The shell was live, even though the brass only would have been sufficient. It eventually went off and I imagine his new nickname could be “Lefty”.
First time I remember here that a picture of mine was actually displayed in the comments section. Is that a new feature for all here or is it a fluke occurrence? Be honest, both have happened to me several times in my life. No matter what, I’m good. 🙂
Happy Easter!
I wish a great Easter celebration for all my Christian friends. May God bless each and every one of you.
Right on cue, Blinken/Biden are doing whatever they can to make it difficult like instigating an already frustrated, exhausted Israeli public into mass demonstrations against the Netanyahu administration. Our Joint Chief of Staffs is over there telling Israelis they can’t go into Rafah as they have been doing all over Gaza. And, outrageously, Biden/Blinken are proposing a joint war room… Read more »
Good morning and a happy Easter to all.
I somehow missed developments this week in the Harding Street murders case. Is this dirty cop going to walk?? It has been five years. Perhaps Ogg did indeed need to go.
One thing that the corrupt Vatican fails to understand is that when they cancel good priests and bishops, those are voices that are more free to say what they want and feel. Bishop Strickland and Father Altman have become bigger voices since they’ve been removed from their parishes and have nothing to lose.
May the blessings of this Easter season fall abundantly upon all of the denizens of the Big Comfy Couch.
God bless one and all. He is risen.
My daughter is camping on the Llano at Junction Texas and sent me a picture of this Historical Marker; “Coach Bear Bryant and the Junction Boys” in 1954 coach Bryant became the head coach at Texas A&M and wanted a training camp far away from the main campus. The Texas A&M Adjunct had just opened in Junction TX so Bear… Read more »

Tedtam Defamed and persecuted Bishop Strickland of Tyler has a writeup at Restate. “We need to speak up in the truth, but the people that have the power right now are ignoring that and plowing ahead with this agenda of tremendous change, global and in the world, in the nation and the Church,” said Bishop Joseph E. Strickland, whose notice of removal… Read more »
Astros are stinking up the place.
I finally decided on a rosary pattern – it’s crystal and gold beads, on gold wire. It’s booteefulll.
It’s a beautiful day and a holiday weekend to boot. I don’t blame everyone for taking off. BTW – you can catch “Risen” on Pluto TV and on Prime. Well done movie about the resurrection of Christ as seen through a Roman soldier sent to investigate the missing body of Jesus.
Happy Easter, Hamsters,
I read in today’s Chron that chocolate bunnies and chocolate anything else are currently more expensive to purchase because of a shortage of the chocolate source. Seems the trees that produce the chocolate nuts are having some decline in production this year. We shall overcome that hardship. 🙂
Tedtam A famous proverb about governments and conspiracies by Robert Hanlon and named Hanlon’s Razor is this… Never assign to conspiracy that which can easily blamed on stupidity. Whenever someone confronts me with their conspiracy theories, I always deliver that line. They almost without exception claim it’s a complicated, complex conspiracy while also insisting the bad guys are really dumb… Read more »
the wooden dummy has no idea what day it is.
Transgender day celebrated on Easter has to be the Kenyan’s and Pete bootybooter’s idea to honor big Mike.
the lot of them are complete trash.
Only us admins seem to be commenting on this Easter Saturday. Sheesh this reminds of chittlin Black History Month Fridays in February in the military chow halls. Only Super Stripes and and officers ate in the chow hall on those Fridays. Black folk and us “others” were not eating the stinkin mess.
Happy Transgender Visibility Day
No longer Easter and there is a special place in hell for Joe Biden.

In the C&C today, Mr. C. discusses the policies of TPTB in NYC to “tamp down fears” about crime instead of actually doing something about the criminals. After his usual lovely snarkiness, he comes up with this point: I am familiar with the popular view that these incompetent and incomprehensible democrat policies and programs are part of a careful, deliberate… Read more »
It looks like I’ll have time to watch that climate change documentary referenced below. I woke at 3:30 a.m. needing a pain killer. The sciatica is pretty bad today, and it’s painful to roll over in bed. I was feeling better so I opted to check the mail sans crutches. Big, big mistake. Made it within one step of the… Read more »
It’s a rare occurrence for me to cite a Politico column unless it’s for mockery. I remember quoting Politico in the last couple of months from an article that was by a guest writer and I was surprised they published it because it was outside their Woke perimeter. Thirteen years ago, I would have been far more likely to cite or… Read more »

Hmmmm would you like to reconsider that comment? I will be glad to explain my methodology in fact checking.
However in my research I found some interesting facts. I checked 35 search result pages consisting of 688 comments. They spanned from 2011 to today and the comments were made by several people.
You quoted Politico 67 times, just shy of 10% pf the comments. We can argue if the majority of those comments were mocking or not. I don’t think so.
Each result page consisted of 20 comments. On one page you had the majority of Politico contributions with 10.

When I got up, I found Billy Cat sitting in the old gazebo, watching the back windows. He noticed me raising the blinds, but stayed where he was. As soon as I had fed the inside cats, I went out back with Billy’s bowls. He likes to come eat close to me, but not too close. In nice weather like… Read more »
In a new documentary directed by Martin Durkin, “Climate The Movie: The Cold Truth,” Svensmark and Shaviv talk about what happened after the paper was published. In 2021, physicists Henrik Svensmark and Nir Shaviv published a peer-reviewed study in the scientific journal Scientific Reports that found that cosmic rays and solar activity impact cloud cover, which in turn impacts climate patterns.Though the study had a… Read more »
Good morning all y’all. Looks like spring may be arriving here today. We’ll see.
It’s a rare occurrence for me to cite a Politico column unless it’s for mockery. This one is special and I recommend you read every word. I am definitely saving this one forever.
