What a neat painting, I love the old 65 Chevy C 10, Fleetside truck. But the deer should be a buck shooting a doe in those days was illegal almost everywhere.
Well we didn’t make it down to freezing but it is 36 so that’s too cold for me. No frost though since that cold front brought dry air down from the frozen tundra’s. The high will only be in the low 60’s but we’ll be back in the 70’s tomorrow. When it warms up a bit, I’ll go out and finish wiring up the motion sensing light I mounted on top of the grain bin yesterday. There’s been a mercury vapor light up there for 40 years but it hasn’t worked in about 20 years or so.I had to redo the wiring since my dad just ran a line overhead from the green house and it’s been down for a while.I ran a wire from the tractor shed and also ran a line from the light back into the shed to a single light that will come on when the motion sensing light comes on.
    Yes, exciting, I know. 😉

The Bible states that in the end times all the nations of the world are going to come against Israel. I have often wondered why and what would be the trigger for this event.
Hamas is an internationally recognized terrorist organization, they have no redeeming qualities and in a just world, every Hamas member would be killed on sight- no questions asked. Unfortunately, we do not live in a just world and none other than the slimeball, Chuck Schumer warned Israel that they must let Hamas live to fight another day.
Schlimer is nakedly politicking for the muzzie vote in Michigan and the lives of his fellow Jews in Israel mean nothing. If he is so eager to backstab his fellow religionists, who face an existential threat from Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, among others, just what do you think he will do to fellow Americans who oppose his blood-lust quest for power? THe man is a disgusting slime ball and the world would be better off if he slipped his mortal coil and what is left of his tarnished soul was banished forthwith to sheol.

As one of the few people in the room without pastoral duties, I felt called to offer a robust counterpoint. Rising to my feet, I delivered my pronouncement clearly, loudly, and succinctly: The young suck.

A few murmuring voices demanded an elaboration, which I gladly delivered. First, I said, it is a truth universally acknowledged that young people are, to borrow a term of art, rather dumb. It’s why we don’t leave children alone in the house when they’re nine years old, say, and why even when they are nineteen we feel more confident knowing that a Residential Adviser is right down the hallway should some collegian make particularly regrettable choices.

Haven’t had time to read the articles, but over at the Citizen Free Press are some interesting articles on Trump’s legal cases. Looks like a judge may be setting up the opposition for a fall. Hoping to check it out soon.

Well, decided to start my day at my work desk instead of at my beads. The retina burning sun has shifted position and my makeshift curtain no longer protects me from its penetrating rays. Now the sun comes straight at my face through the glass in our dining room door.

But if I lean to the left, I can avoid any eye damage until it goes high enough in the sky that it’s no longer a problem.

It’s the ONLY time you’ll find me leaning left.

I’m here after 3 tries at logging in. The case in Florida regarding classified documents is swirling down the drain because we have an honest judge in the case.

The much more serious crisis for Trump is the half billion dollar judgment in New York. There are only a few bonding companies large enough to even consider a bond that size and they have all declined to do so.

Unless somebody billionaire like Elon Musk steps forward to help him, Trump could be in deep trouble over this unbelievably insane, corrupt New York judicial circus.

    The roundup from today’s C&C:

Good morning, C&C, it’s Tuesday! Actually, it’s Trump Tuesday, since there’s so much going on in the Trump cases I had to research and report on the status of all top three cases. In today’s roundup: Trump’s Georgia lawyers seek an appeal of Judge McAfee’s order in the Fani Willis case; Trump’s New York lawyers file massive appeal brief in the overpriced real estate case; and Trump-deranged liberals are calling for Judge Cannon to be removed from the South Florida case after she filed a fascinating two-page order yesterday.

I do enjoy Mr. C’s legal dissection of the daily news.

  13. Tedtam Avatar

From C&C, Trump’s lawyers are appealing the bond problem Trump has in NY:

Trump’s lawyers are smartly setting up the appellate argument that the bond requirement itself is unconstitutional in this case. There are two ways to argue constitutional issues: ‘facially’ or ‘as-applied.’ In a facial challenge, a plaintiff argues a law is unconstitutional for everybody. But in the less-common ‘as-applied’ scenario, the plaintiff argues the law only becomes unconstitutional when it is applied to him.

To prevent being reversed for unconstitutional “unusual punishment” or “excessive fines,” Judge Engoran, who looks much like an old goat, would have been better off ordering a lower penalty for Trump’s completely victimless crime. But the pallid Judge got greedy, or happy, or something, and ordered an historic, planet-sized judgment, which is now creating all sorts of legal problems.

Being one of Trump’s lawyers involves a master degree in 3D chess.

  14. Super Dave Avatar
    Super Dave

The much more serious crisis for Trump is the half billion dollar judgment in New York.

I still find it hard to believe that there are laws that allow a judge to decide not only if a person is guilty of a civil crime involving ZERO injured parties but to set a judgement of millions of dollars. A number he pulled out of his you-know-what.
I saw some girls on one of the alphabet networks all giddy about Trump not being able to come up with a half a mil in cash and saying how he wasn’t nearly as rick as he claimed to be. REALLY?? Theses poor dump kids have no idea what Real Assets are AND don’t care to know. ~SPITS~ Running out of spit….

    1. Bonecrusher Avatar
      Bonecrusher

Let’s not forget that the judge decided on his own how much Mar a Lago was worth. He valued it at $20 million or so, when the actual value was closer to a BILLION.
SD: guilty of a civil crime involving ZERO injured parties.
HOw is there a civil crime with no victim? This case should be dismissed on appeal and the judge should be disbarred, tarred and feathered, then fed into a wood chipper.

  15. Tedtam Avatar

Super D: Mr. C. discusses that problem, too:

To make the constitutional argument, the Trump team first needed to prove they really tried to buy an affordable bond — but couldn’t. That is exactly what this reply memo carefully documented.

You’re getting to see some very good lawyering here. Trump’s lawyers are multiplying the issues, giving themselves more tools with which to work. They started out with very little to work with and are building the tools as they go.

Monday is the deadline to post the bond. If Trump doesn’t post the bond, and the appeals court refuses to stay without bond, then woke, Soros-funded District Attorney Letitia James can commence collections. Like foreclosing on — liquidating — Trump’s various properties in New York.

But that won’t end the fight. Trump can resist collections, and can fight with James in state court, on a property-by-property basis, slowing things down. When Trump runs out of state-court options, he can then throw the threatened properties into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. He might be able to stop Letitia James for two or three years.

So, the bond is a real problem, but it isn’t fatal. Not yet. Trump still has options.

The gallows was outfitted with a bright orange-colored rope. The color choice was noteworthy, according to Raymond Winbush, a researcher and professor at Morgan State University in Maryland. Winbush said the brightness and distinctiveness of the color was potentially a visual cue to attract attention to the noose.

Y’all needed to seek the expert opinion of some pin-headed Professor for a comment on the color of the rope??

There was this news story about bloodbaths I’m sure no one heard about, but I do want to note China is building their dirt cheap EV car plant in Mexico to destroy the American auto industry.

Now we’ve had the Chinese company, Gotion, which is part of the master plan for this attack on American industry plotting to build huge facilities since 2015 or 2016. They make batteries, batteries for trucks, cars, equipment, etc. and their products power Chinese EV vehicles.

Gotion has been trying to establish major plants in the Great Lakes region to supply the Chinese Evs. A little town in Michigan between Lake Michigan and Lake Huron in the Upper Peninsula was chosen for the site of this massive battery plant to supply Chinese EVs. The small village only have 4 people on their city council who originally approved this factory.

Other locals became outraged, threw them out of office and changed the locks on City Hall. The new officeholders then told the Chinese Communist Party to shove it where the sun don’t shine.

The CCP/Gotion has now filed suit against this tiny town for $2.4 billion and the town is not backing down. Heroic people with backbone like all Americans should have.

In the meantime, enormously fat, stupid, trust fund boy and governor Jay Prtizker of Illinois has welcomed these international criminals to come into Illinois and build all they want.

THIS IS SOME VERY GOOD LEGAL ADVISE.

PICTURE THE SCENE: You’re about four minutes into your worst waking nightmare. You had to pull your gun and use it; that’s the bad news. The good news is, you’re still alive. You know that because you can still smell the gun smoke and feel your heart pounding with adrenaline. The would-be offender is dead, or at least isn’t moving. It was him or you, no doubt about that. And because you’re confident you’re justified in your actions, it’s time to fulfill your obligation as a responsible and law-abiding person and notify the police.

You are not in a normal state of mind.

“You probably won’t be the first one to call 911, but if your neighbor, a bystander or even the perpetrator calls 911, you should call them too, and be the first one, if possible,” Richards, who is an Independent Program Attorney for U.S. LawShield says.

Next, you should know that 911 starts recording as soon as you dial, even before dispatch picks up.

“That means what you say can come back to bite you, even if no one is on the line,” says James Phillips, a Florida-based U.S. LawShield Independent Program Attorney. If (like one defendant) you’re heard profanely saying to yourself while waiting for the 911 operator to pick up the person shot “deserved to die,” it won’t play well in court.

  41. Texpat Avatar
    Texpat

To repeat and I hope no one reading this has to use it although we never know.

I didn’t know this. But 911 recordings are used constantly in trials both for the defense and the prosecution.

Since even a justified shooting is likely to leave you frantic and agitated, one defense attorney with U.S. Law Shield I spoke with advises you to keep things simple and to the point, using the acronym: NASH’D. This stands for:

    NAME,

    ADDRESS,

When God made angels, he made these two. With the modern Christian hymn, You Raise Me Up, Lucy and Martha Thomas make magic.

Lucy is the older one although her younger sister, Martha, has a beautiful natural vibrato.

I never knew the origin of this song, but the music was written by a Norwegian composer who then asked, a couple of years later, an Irish novelist to write lyrics for instrumental.

About 911 calls: years ago, Hubby, some friends, and I were at my across the street neighbor’s house. Our car was parked in his driveway. Some time during the evening, someone left to go buy some bread at the grocery store. After we ate, Hubby looked outside and didn’t see his truck in the driveway. We called 911, thinking it had been stolen, but before we said a word a friend pointed out that he had parked it in our driveway across the street. We hung up the phone before we thought they had picked up. We continued on with our evening, having a good laugh over the confusion. About ten minutes later there was a knock on the door – the cops. They were responding to the 911 call.

I just walked out to the tractor shed to see how my new motion sensing light works and it lights up the woods pretty good. Since it’s mounted up high on top of the grain bin it doesn’t light up the building so I ran a line inside to drive a LED shop light or 2. I haven’t got the lights yet so I just plugged in my biddy warmer, a 300 watt incandescent light with a hood and clamp and it put out enough light to see in there.
