    last week Texpat said;

    They are dumb and stupid.

    Shanon said;

    say what you will

cardinals are the ornithological dumbasses of the world

Well I’ll see your Pigeon/Dove and Cardinal and raise you a Mockingbird.

So here’s the story; Early last week a Mocking bird showed up outside of my west window of my office. I have a stained glass, red-headed woodpecker hanging on the latch and the stupid Mocker seemed to be attacking it. The next morning he showed up at my south window and was trying to get in. With the sun on that side of the house I think he was seeing his image but I don’t know. All last week and into the weekend he’d be beating on that window and yesterday I noticed him at the master bedroom (north side) and the Master bath (west side). Right now he’s attacking the woodpecker again on the west window. I’ll be glad when he gets tired of this and I’ve even thought about murdering him with the 20 Ga but I can’t do that, he’s just very annoying not doing any real harm.

Oh I think I’ll go let the Dawg in, I’ve not done that in 10 minutes or so.  😀

I didn’t watch it, but I saw the title of the YT video: “What happened in Israel could happen here”.

She’s right on the money.  We’ve imported millions of folks who have no emotional ties to this country.  Some want a better life by working for it, others want it by sucking on the public teat.  I would gather more of the latter than the former, going by news reports from the big cities.

And all of those getaways?  We have no idea who they are or what they’re up to.  We’ve caught some terrorists, but how many got through?

We’ve become complacent, because we’ve been blessed with no war on our shores for so many years.  Two oceans have helped protect us.  Instead of the militants coming to us in ships, however, they’ve walked across our border and set up shop next door to our loved ones.

I have a very bad feeling that we are in for a major event before the next election.  That would give the Dems an excuse to halt elections and establish martial law, so poll watchers and dissidents would be kept at home.  And all sorts of nefarious dealings.

If you never saw the movie “Nefarious,” you really should have.  It explains so much, besides just being a great movie.  You can rent it on Prime.

    Nefarious:

“wicked in the extreme,” c. 1600, from Latin nefarius “wicked, abominable, impious,” from nefas “crime, wrong, impiety,” from ne- “not” (from PIE root *ne- “not”) + fas “right, lawful, divinely spoken,” related to fari “to speak,” from PIE root *bha- (2) “to speak, tell, say.”

There was a mockingbird that used to attack a particular window at my past parish’s office manager.  Every afternoon, between certain hours.  It had to be something with the reflection.

But that doesn’t explain the occasional thud! we hear at our back porch windows.  It’s shaded, and still there are birds that sound like they are flying full tilt into the glass.

And cardinals?  I’ve had them buzz me on the back porch as the flew through.  Literally felt a wing on my ear.  And yes, I jumped and screamed like a girl, until I realized it was just a bird.

    SPONSORS ☙ Monday, October 9, 2023 ☙ C&C NEWS

Good morning, C&C, it’s Monday again! Let’s kick off a great new week with a strong roundup for you: Israel war mini-roundup and current status; WSJ predicted this; Egypt predicted this; gun control renaissance; thoughts about 9/11, Israel, and the US’s burgeoning border problem; my call for community militias; Politico switches narratives and backs Gaetz; now sanctuary state Massachusetts is reaching the bursting point of illegal migrants; NBC wins contest for ironic health headlines; and the latest hilarious mock-worthy covid headline from the Seattle Times.

    News:

Political virtue-signaling over the weekend’s attacks in Israel predictably began blooming like wildflowers here in the United States, with smug trans and silly LGBTQ++ folks showing the strongest support for Hamas militants, who would toss them off the roof in a hot Palestine second if they were left unattended for more than a couple minutes in Gaza: [image of gays with banner]

That particular form of idiocy has never made sense to me.  Celebrate those who deem you beneath pond scum and would kill you in a heartbeat?

Moving on: WSJ reports that Iran gave the go-ahead for the attack.  IRAN?!  But…but…but…/spits

The Journal, citing unnamed “senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah,” noted that on the other hand, U.S. officials are saying there is “no evidence” of Iranian involvement. If there were evidence, it would be highly inconvenient to the Peters Administration, since Biden just bribed Iran with a $6 billion-dollar package in trade for five kidnapped Iranian-American political hostages. But despite those denials, according to the Journal’s militant sources, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard officers have been working with Hamas since at least August to devise the highly-coordinated, multi-modal air, land and sea attack—a wide front producing the most spectacular breach of Israel’s borders since the 1973 Yom Kippur War and the deadliest single day for Israelis since the horrors of World War II.

Iran, of course, denies any involvement except expressing satisfaction with Hamas’s success.

Of course.  Iran must provide a back door for the media to feel better about the situation.  Of sorts.

It only took me a few seconds of digging to find a prophetic Wall Street Journal story from April headlined, “Iran Is Recruiting Militant Allies to Launch Attacks Against Israel.”  Um. The sub-headline added, “Quds Force commander has met leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah in recent weeks to coordinate strikes.” [insert media excerpt here]

But our media and “leaders” can’t be bothered to do any research.  And pooh on Israel for not knowing what was coming.

But I pray the Israeli response is so devastating that following attacks don’t happen.  I fear that Israel may have to agree to kill their own, who are being used as human shields.  That will create all kinds of political havoc inside and outside of Israel, but those are the tactics of the enemy and must be factored into the future of the country.

And you gotta figger that Iran is watching the whole situation with an eye to future attacks.  Where is their nuclear weapon now???

  10. Tedtam Avatar

And for some strange reason, Israel’s gun control policies have all gone out the window.

I wonder how this attack overseas will impact our gun control discussions here? (See my above post on “it can happen here”.)

Next up: comparisons to our 9/11

The developing media narrative is that the weekend attacks are Israel’s 9/11. I think what the media means by this is that the attacks shattered Israeli preconceptions about their internal security and kicked off an endless conflict. But there is a secondary meaning too, and that is the loss of Israel’s naive belief in the good intentions of their government.

Remember back when we found out that the 9/11 hijackers had all trained at flight schools around the U.S. but didn’t care about learning how to land the airplanes? And how the FBI ignored all those clear warning signs and even concerned citizen reports? And then remember how we held a useless 9/11 Commission, which created the Orwellian Department of Homeland Security, which is now busily censoring health information on American’s social media accounts?

    Good times.

Welp. That definition of ‘9/11’ now applies to Israel, too. Their own 9/11 commission is coming. A Times of Israel headline this morning reported, “Egypt intelligence official says Israel ignored repeated warnings of ‘something big’.” Huh. How about that. Very much like what happened leading up to 9/11. And we’re just starting to find things out.

Childers points out the similarities:  same bad guys, low-tech techniques, surprise attacks, exacerbated by massive intelligence failures.

This morphs into my previous mention of “it can happen here”:

Over here in the U.S., the barbaric destruction unleashed at Israel’s failed border is raising some awkward questions about our own American border. The unrest is currently welling out of the GOP’s right wing, but I’m betting the notion will quickly spread toward the political middle, since there is really no effective rebuttal.

Here’s Representative Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) comments from Saturday:

    image 2.png

    Kari Lake issued similar warnings.

There’s a lot I could say about this disastrous border issue, and I probably will say a lot more in coming days. But one thing the Israel attacks have proven beyond argument is that citizen fears about uncontrolled illegal immigration in the U.S. are not hypothetical, exaggerated, or fantastical, these undocumented people are legitimately a clear and present danger.

Republican governors should immediately consider two things. First, if it’s not already done, declare a state of emergency and do everything possible to thwart the federal relocation of illegal migrants into red states. Second, immediately start organizing civilian militias and training citizens how to fight back against a sudden sneak attack like Israel just endured.

    There’s no time to waste.

    What he said.

  12. Tedtam Avatar

McCarthy New:  Political issued a poll that runs counter to the angry media narrative that Gaetz is a traitor and muck-raker supreme:

It was a polling story. The news was packaged in the form of a CBS poll reporting that 75% of Republicans surveyed agree Kevin McCarthy was “ineffective,” and 60% supported his removal from the Speaker’s position.

Nobody liked McCarthy. The article reported even 70% of people calling themselves ‘liberal’ backed Kevin’s ouster.

Well, THAT will leave a mark.

  13. Tedtam Avatar

And Massachusetts is now reaching its migrant housing breaking point:

It’s getting so bad that, in a clip making the rounds this week, Massachusetts officials called for volunteers to move illegal migrants into their homes: “If you have an extra room or suite in your home, please consider hosting a family. Become a sponsor family. If you’re a landlord or property owner, we can work with you to transition families into permanent housing.”

Ummmm, yeah.  That’s gonna happen.  I guess all of the superiority of the blue areas over the border states whining about the problem is vaporizing.  Welcome to Texas, y’all.

If some of the aliens are terrorists, and Massachusetts homeowners are “sponsoring” them, does that make them “sponsors of terrorism?” Just asking.

I will bet you my next paycheck that the woke, virtue-signaling “we welcome everyone” signs in Boston’s front yards will be vanishing faster than RoundUp-sprayed weeds. Rubber, meet the road.

Then there’s Covid news, starting with an NBC study that people who have been infected five times reported how each infection was different.

FIVE. TIMES.  I have an elder brother and wife who’ve been taking the horse paste and have never gotten ill.  My chiropractor takes it prophylactically as well, and some of his family and friends.  Smart idea for him, since he has to get up close and personal with all sorts of people.  Chiro reported one unexpected but happy side effect, someone he knew passed a foot long tapeworm.

Yeah, there ya’ go.  But back to the C&C:

Just imagine what you’d say about my immune system if I told you I’d had the flu at least five times over the last three years. And don’t even get me started about how “getting covid over and over takes a mental toll.” Chickens and eggs! Which came first, the covid or the mental problems?

So, exactly who is getting covid so frequently? Carefully observe the following paragraph from NBC’s article and see if you can spot any common denominators. Take your time:

“I’ve seen a few patients with five infections,” said Dr. Grace McComsey, vice dean for clinical and translational research at Case Western University. “Sadly, they were immunized and they still got Covid five times.”

Sadly! So, did you find it? What do all these repeat covid customers have in common? Hmmm? What baffling, mysterious agent could be at work in all these cases?

I will say here, that not all jab-takers had much of a choice.  There was tremendous force used – societal, economical, psychological, and legal – to coerce folks into taking the jab.  But there were the jab-Karens, who thought we who resisted getting poked or wearing a mask should die.  I do have issues with those folks.

Childers’ column goes on with excerpts of various people with all kinds of new medical problems.

Prayers for all of those now dealing with long lasting diabetes, neurological, and cardiac issues.  Among other things.

I mentioned last week that I had been hearing about something going down in October, but had no tangible idea what it would be. I guess I have at least a partial answer to that. The month isn’t even half gone yet. Yes, it can happen here. Probably won’t go exactly as it did/does in Israel, but… thinking we’ve already sown the seeds of our own destruction. I pray I’m wrong.

I was deeply asleep at 3 AM when a sound began to penetrate my subconscious.  It was regular, short electronic sounds intermittent with pauses and I perceived it as an old electronic alarm clock until I awakened enough to realize we don’t have one in the house.

Then it dawned on me it was a vehicle alarm going off down the street.

I jumped up and got dressed, grabbed a heavy flashlight and went towards the alarm.  It stopped. I walked to the end of the street and figured if there was a thief he would at least see me if I couldn’t see him.  I shine the light into the shrubs and between the houses as I walked slowly back home.

I never did see police car so maybe a neighbor accidentally set off the alarm in the middle of the night.

But dammit I was wide awake for the next three hours.

I had stayed up watching TV until I was good and tired.  When  I was pretty sure I was going to fall asleep, I turned it off, rolled over, and I swear I could hear the “CLICK!” as my brain went full-on awake mode.

    I hate that click!

Fortunately, I had my little rag and my bottle of clove oil.  I haven’t done that in a long time, silly me.  I put a few drops on the rag and put it near my pillow.  It doesn’t always work, but it did last time.  Some people use lavender, but I really don’t like that smell.  I found that clove oil works best for me to induce sleep.

From the president of El Salvador:

As a Salvadoran with Palestinian ancestry, I’m sure the best thing that could happen to the Palestinian people is for Hamas to completely disappear. Those savage beasts do not represent the Palestinians. Anyone who supports the Palestinian cause would make a great mistake siding with those criminals. It would be like if Salvadorans would have sided with MS13 terrorists, just because we share ancestors or nationality. The best thing that happened to us as a nation was to get rid of those rapists and murderers, and let the good people thrive. Palestinians should do the same: get rid of those animals and let the good people thrive. That’s the only way forward.

One of the blessings from God is that most, but unfortunately not all, criminals are moderately to comprehensively stupid.

One of the great and strange benefits of the humanity’s recent fetishizing the Paganistic practice of tattoo is thugs, creeps, perverts and homicidal maniacs frequently brand themselves with obvious indelibly unique branding that make their identification and incarceration so much easier.

When President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador and his government decided to build a huge new prison and incarcerate every member of MS-13 gangs – 40,000 to 50,000 – If memory serves.  The stupid MS-13 punks made it easy because most everyone of them have neck, facial and arm tattoos advertising their allegiance.

We have the Israeli 24 hour English language news channel I-24 on our cable, watch frequently and now have it on constantly during waking hours.

    Here is the website.

    or

    i24news.tv/en

They had a commentator on early this morning who made two excellent points.

First, Israel has been in a state of domestic turmoil for most of the year over Netanyahu’s proposals to overhaul the Israeli judicial system and make special concessions to the ultra-Orthodox Charedi segment of society.  Few non-Jews in America have been aware of how hostile and deep these arguments have been.

There has never been a division among Israelis like this and the rhetoric and accusations have been absurd.  The protests have been daily and constant, many of them huge and work stoppages and strikes have been threatened by factions of the Israeli Defense Forces.  Many native Israelis were publicly threatening to leave Israel (Echoes of the American Left).  I’m serious.  It’s not a joke and these conflicts extend into every corner of the country, including Mossad and Shin Bet, the internal domestic security authority.

Second, the calculated leaks and rumors of the impending announcement of full diplomatic relations with Israel including the recognition of Israel’s right to exist had the Shi’ite Muslim world on the edge of insanity.  They were convinced it would happen this week.

    **********************************************

The massive miscalculation by Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah that the Israeli public was torn beyond repair and would not respond in an aggressive way nor support their military and the frantic need to somehow upstage and stop the Saudi/Israeli pact were large self-imposed pressures on the Islamic Shi’ite Crime Syndicate.

300,000 IDF reservists, officers & non-coms showed up to fight within the first 24 hours in Israel.  It had to be a huge shock to the Mullahs and Homicidal Hamas.  Uh-oh.

You use the word “people” loosely.  Yes, they have humanoid bodies, but they host a myriad of demons.  There’s simply no other explanation for a hatred this deep, and the treatment of humans and human bodies.

They are a sick, sick, sick people.

Y’all know I listen to exorcists; I’ve learned a lot about my faith and the actual spiritual warfare that is being waged all about us.  The possessed often bring their demonic possession upon themselves, by inviting evil in.  Use of the occult (even one casual use can open the door), worshipping of evil, indulging in hatred….those are all doors through which evil can enter.

Slightly off topic, but today’s “Return to Tradition” discusses a new demonic donation to pachapapa, which he accepted.  Un-freaking-believable that the resident of the papal offices would accept a doll that depicts a demon that is assigned to the assassination of priests.  And a McCain family member gave it to him.  Yes, THOSE McCains.

The whole world’s gone absolutely nuts.  /counting my jars…

  27. Tedtam Avatar

One thing the exorcists have said: the escalation of the evil in the world is a response to the demons’ knowledge that their time is coming to an end.  It’s a desperate attempt to destroy as many souls as possible while they still can.  There are reasons for this belief in the Catholic faith.

    I hope.

Leaving the weapons behind in A-stan was treason!  That those weapons are now being used to attack Israel is no accident or coincidence; it was the plan from the beginning and it was hatched in the festering bowels of the State Dept and Dept of Defense.  Most of America is without guilt but will be punished severely for the actions of our ‘leaders.’

Treason is not a word to be used lightly, in this case it is the appropriate word and the appropriate punishment should follow.  The big problem is that we may have a shortage of rope to carry out the appropriate sentences.

This was a very well-planned, multi-faceted attack beyond the typical street thug mentality of Hamas.  The arms, the sophisticated cyber-attack on the Israeli alarm system mounted on the security walls at Gaza, the multi-phase layers of advance with long-range rockets, short range mortars, paraglides mounted on lightweight ATVs, the timing on a Shabbat morning on a major religious holiday, etc.

People have been contacting me all weekend with this invincible, infallible Mossad intelligence reputation and it is just not true.  Mossad has screwed up plenty of times.  Not nearly as badly or as often as the CIA or the British MI-6, but the idea this couldn’t be pulled off when Mossad leadership has dropped their guard is absurd.

According to reports, Hamas and other Islamic criminals have been training with paraglider attacks for years in places like Malaysia and Iran.  IDF, Mossad and Shin Bet have had their eyes set on the tunnels and the skies.

Hamas attacked with bulldozers right through the security fences, on boats and amphibious craft at sea and by paragliders.  They didn’t use the tunnels and were able to fill the skies with more rockets than the Israelis imagined they had.

None of this is the least bit characteristic of fairly dumb, savage, primitive low-level gangsters like Hamas.  No one can tell me Hamas conceived, planned and trained for this themselves or in Gaza itself.  This all took place in Iran and other places until very briefly before its execution.  Any other master plan would have leaked through the sieve that is the streets and alleys of Gaza.

The leadership of Hamas and Gaza always claim to be broke.  It’s because they steal the millions that flow in there monthly.  They would never buy the equipment or fund the training this attack required in addition to lacking the intelligence to plan it in the first place.

The Iranians are a different educated and sophisticated class of people all together.  They are the masterminds of this and they bought much of the arms and munitions from Afghanistan and smuggled it into Gaza.  Arab social media has plenty of video of huge crowds in Gaza celebrating with hundreds of people carrying American military issued M-4 carbines that look brand new.  They didn’t get there because of Hamas.
