Tedtam, I’m liking the fish story and a 3.5 Lb trout is a big one. It must be a Brown trout? BTW; A 3.5 Lb Bass is considered small. Oh wait! You said he was on the lake, trout get much bigger in lakes, 50+ Lbs is possible.
Trout is some kind of fine eating so color me jealous. 😉
Power went off about 6:30 during a nasty thunderstorm but the rain has stopped and the thunder is moving away. We got almost an inch of rain today with 3/4″ at about 6:00 in about 20 minutes. Wind gusts were only about 30 MPH but they were predicting up to 80 MPH!? FWIW; Most of the weather has been south… Read more »
Hug the good days to remember in the midst of much uncertainty that lurks these days.
Twitter under new management would seem to be giving ulcers to the old guard that used to run it. The new owner(s) could be kind and send them all a huge box of ulcer meds of various kinds. 🙂
As usual, I recommend reading today’s C&C: Good morning, C&C, it’s Wednesday! Your action-packed roundup today includes: Tucker’s third twitter monologue defends Trump and goes after the military-industrial complex; new California rep roasts HHS secretary over child masking; CNN pulls plug on Trump’s post-arraignment coverage; Senator Hawley presses FBI on Biden Bribery document; the real story that will soon eclipse… Read more »
We had a good morning on this vacation. I brought a puzzle, and it’s been a big hit. Aggie Beau was sick the last day and half, but rallied last night and was in fine fettle this morning. I made breakfast and we lazed a bit, some puzzle pieces put into place and little girls did some reading; parents watched… Read more »
Day before yesterday we had another blessed event in our back pasture: another mamma deer gave birth to a fawn. I just saw Mike Pence interviewed by Kudlow on his show and now I’ve lost what little respect I had for Pence. Fortunately he’ll not make it through the primaries and that is a good thing, I’d have a real hard time voting for him in the general. That is all!
As a Christmas gift to the wife’s new aunt and uncle, we invited them for a dinner with us at Taste of Texas. The timing finally worked out and we went for lunch today. Still just as good as ever, nap time right now.
Funny how everything I have warned about seems to be coming to pass. Rickards Drops Bombshell On Aug. 22, about 2½ months from today, the most significant development in international finance since 1971 will be unveiled. It involves the rollout of a major new currency that could weaken the role of the dollar in global payments and ultimately displace the… Read more »
I agree with WB. We (collectively) still have too much to lose for a true societal breakdown to occur. If we ever do get to the point where the men who just wanted to be left alone finally have had enough this isn’t going to be a world any of us are going to want to inhabit.
I got home, collapsed for a while and had a rough night. I was able to get my pulmonologist to take me right in and he sent me back to outpatient testing another cat scan with contrast. I’ve already warned them about finding a vein. This will be interesting.

My #16 we got a whooping .07″ of rain and now the sun is shinning brightly. That said there is another storm to our west that will likely come through in a half hour or so.
We had a Tarn-ado warning here about 20 minutes ago with one area to our west around Elba and to the east around Fort Gaines. A tornado was spotted near Abbeville about that times. Just for fun I fried up the local weather guesser and man are they excited. They have their radar and windshear (Doppler) screens going and are… Read more »
If anything, it’ll be sudden. People are starting to put 2 and 2 together, but not much beyond that. If anything does start, it’ll be triggered by something unlikely and unforeseen.
I don’t believe we’re anywhere near far enough along for anything to start.
11 continued Sixty-five percent of likely US voters think undercover government agents probably helped provoke the so-called J6 riot. How is that possible? Morning, gang. I took Matsuo to the vet yesterday because he’d been acting odd for a week. On a normal day, I get up and feed the 6 cats, then I have my breakfast at the computer on the western 12″ of the table in the breakfast room. The other 3′ x 4′ of the table are covered by layers… Read more »

And while more effort is always better, I’m starting… Read more »

What scares me about that story is that are prepping the procedure for humans. That part scares me as well. Shannon, thanks for the good report from your brother. It is nice to know that he is doing well in good hands.

Since my Mom passed away YES this has been the cruddiest of years for my house.
AB informed me that all five fish were rainbow trout.
AB and LD consider themselves foodies and love to cook, and from what I’ve seen, we are dining well this evening.
Hubby informed me that he has put together a home for Elsa, the freezer dryer, for when she arrives.
Sunshine came up with that name, after the Disney princess with a penchant for freezing everything.
Dear Texpat,
We all hope your recovery is uneventful and on a schedule that is comfortable for you. 🙂
Hopefully texpat will be back on his feet in no time.
quit bragging.

Okay, upping my prayer time for Texpat.
And yes, it’s been a cruddy, cruddy year.
The annual Millheim Father’s Day BarBQue is this Sunday. Serving starts at 11am.

Texpat’s pulmonologist discovered some fluid on his heart and hospitalized him.
Fay passed a year ago today.

Mr Haney performed a great grilling of another corrupt fib agent-stooge during a segment of Deep State kabuki theatre hour yesterday.
let’s rate.
in the kabuki theatre grillings standings mr Haney is 267-0
In the actual results from the kabuki theatre grillings and as is typical of the party of the can’ts mr Haney is 0-267.
