2023 Texas Legislature
Shannon said, “The Texas House is largest biennial gathering of sleazy whores on the planet.”
If these people cannot bring themselves to slay the Dade Phelan Dragon and pass legislation to stop the indoctrination, manipulation and mutilation of the children of Texas on the sacrificial pyre of transgendered psychopathy, then each and every one should fired from office, convicted of child abuse and hung by the neck from the nearest strong live oak tree.

Nite nite all.
I always admired the old Datsun Z cars. I have a longtime old friend who did a full restoration on a 240Z back in the early 1990s. This is the story of a guy who turned a 280Z into a wagon with the help of a bunch of people including the original car designer who came up with a never… Read more »
mharper42 Being retired military himself — a colonel — he looked for an ex-military guy who could maintain the yard, the fish ponds in the back yard, and just live there in case of any issues. I was surprised to hear that there are grapevines for ex-military looking for positions like that. I figure there are grapevines among vets for… Read more »
What a day. Glad to see y’alls smiling faces. I gotta go to bed so I am leaving a wake up call for 7am. G’night.
Finally checking in – kneeling for the last half of the mass really left me wanting to lie down. I should’ve put my back brace on as soon as I came home, but – duh! Elderly Gent, my back-of-me pew mate was waiting for me after mass. He usually heads out asap at the end of mass and waits for… Read more »
My #96: Well, HE has a live-in custodian, while at Chez Harp, it is ME or nobody. Several times back in 2013-14, when I was having high-tech knees put in, I had no choice but to hire basic yard work. I was very dissatisfied with that. Re 80-Y.O.’s needing a custodian, he was still robust, working and traveling when his… Read more »
I noticed yesterday that 20-Y.O.’s azaleas along his front porch are blooming already, whereas my one big azalea bush is green and looks healthy, but no sign of a flower yet.
Texpat,
Amazon covers everything. Thank you for the info.

John Munch was a great character and an often unintended, satirical one as an old paranoid ’60s Leftist.

Hmmm, the O’Rourke book title got sent to stand in the corner and would not show up online. Somebody in charge of something obviously got a bad case of the vapors over the title.
re: OC
The late PJ O’Rourke wrote a book with an apt, relevant title, Parliament of Whores.
Just to finish up Ms Adee, my 10 day forecast tells me no more freezing temps in February, and almost spring like conditions for the next several days. But every year I finally get all excited and put my tomato plants out before April 15, and inevitably, a last minute freeze comes through and takes them out. I’ll probably do… Read more »
Good beautiful morning, Hamsters, Not sure how long the sun will stay with us today since the overcast is multiplying from the NW and covering more and more sky. The previously sleeping wind has ditched its slow start and is making an entrance here. Small patches of light come and go on the yards around the house thanks to the… Read more »
Morning, gang. I don’t seem to have any plans for today. Sudoku went smoothly this morning, and I guess I’ll just browse the ‘net while I finish my breakfast. I do have a couple of things to do online, but after that, I may just go back to bed.
80 Shannon Funny how the fact that a CC holder shot the suspect hasn’t been mentioned in local media. I decided to check the three network franchisees in El Paso to see how they reported the shooting. NBC News – no mention of any CC good samaritan ABC News – no mention either CBS News – CC shooter mentioned but… Read more »
Spectacular review of Stephen Segall’s latest waste of movie space. How does a movie like this ever make any money?
I just read the news; KNEEMAIL UP TEXMO.
Loose horse on Cedar Hill at Rolling Hill. Beautiful horse, prancing down the street, tail up.
I think about eight teams from our racing series made the trip to Casa Grande, Arizona to race in a big event this weekend. They showed ‘em how it’s done in Texas, one won it but was DQ’ed due to carb rule, next up was a Texan who was declared the winner, 2nd, 3rd and 5th were our guys as… Read more »
Morning gang. Things are warming up out here today according to weather person. Of all the seeds that I planted, it seems that the 2 types of yellow squash are the most prolific when it comes to germinating, so if you would like to have your own squash plant for your garden this year, just stop by and I’ll gladly… Read more »
Morning Gang… it’s 44 here in the woods, and I’ve been up long enough to hit the shower and make a tasty cup of Keurig. Would appreciate prayers for my singing partner and adopted “big brother” – who evidently had a “small” stroke yesterday. I was in the room when a doc came by, and he said Double will be… Read more »
Since we’re on the Texas Gulf Coast, last night I had to have my Menudo fix and Los Ramirez is a good place to do that. It sure was good and it’s been a while since I’ve had authentic Menudo. Wife had Chili Relleno, beans N rice so now it’s seafood by the Bay later today. 😉
Well it’s a warmer, 51 here in Nassau Bay today, shooting for about 70. That’s more like it.

sorry sonsofbitcheshundreds of persons of questionable character that we have been sending to Austin since the place was built, that Capitol is a cherished edifice.BTW Texpat
Nice gallery view of the Texas House in the OC.
The Senate chamber is one of my favorite places on the planet.
And I’ve been to some some pretty neat places on this planet.
Tedtam one of my neighbors is Catholic and she sent me a prayer for the intercession of St. Peregrine for healing of cancer almost two years ago.
Nite all.
This guy has a neat setup for his work bench for sanding. He has a box below the bench connected to his vacuum, and holes drilled into his worktop. He does his sanding over the holes and the finer sawdust or grit gets sucked into the box, and he doesn’t have to have a hose connected to his tools. Sweet. … Read more »
I take it back – it’s not a treadle machine, it’s a hand crank sewing machine. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those.
I’m watching a video of a guy restoring a very old, rusty treadle sewing machine.
It’s a good thing he’s got this on video tape, ‘cuz there’s about a jillion screws on that thing and slightly less moving parts that he’ll have to put back together.
In order.
TexMo – so very sorry. Thoughts and prayers buddy.

What happened to the left asserting that for profit hospitals are the root of all evil in our healthcare system? This is their basis for a single payer system. What a bunch of hypocrits!

St. Peregrine is the patron saint of cancer patients.
Here is a page detailing his history and a novena, if’n you are so inclined.
I read a story that a lady wrote about her prayers to St. Peregrine. I think she died of old age.

O Lord our God, the Physician of our souls and bodies, look down upon Thy servant (Texmo) and cure him of all infirmities of the flesh, in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, with Whom Thou art blessed, together with Thy Most Holy, Gracious, and Life-giving Spirit, always, now and… Read more »
My daughter is not petite, but her footfalls are the equivalent of a man that weighs twice as much as her. She also plops into chairs and and the couch. Where are all the fat people in Phil’s #48? Funny you should mention that. As I sit here in this pub on the square, I admire the original oak floors. Lord only knows how old they are. I had lunch with Hubby’s car club today. It was nice to get out. I had planned on coming home to the treadmill and some housework, but I decided to cook some chicken curry soup for canning, and the standing in the kitchen, and the slight leanings at the counter and cooktop started some back spasms, so no cardio today.… Read more »
