Stayed up late this evening. Nite nite you all.
I reckon TX government is still operating a bit – TDCJ did confirm receipt of my anti parole note.
#50 – Git a ROPE! #%$&*@#$%^!!
#64 – sounds like my quilting room – which is now affectionately known as “the fabric dungeon”
#59 Adee Problem is if’n you have the space, it will over time fill up. If I get up enough nerve to do it, maybe I’ll take a photo looking in through the hall door into what started out to be my craft room 27 years ago. Yep, it started out with floor-to-ceiling shelves on the 2 main walls, and… Read more »
Many, many years ago I was service manager of a shop, I had the bottom cut out of the hanging cabinet that held all the shop air tools and others, stuff just got thrown in there.
My #61 also never ever and I Mean NEVER! put flooring in your attic! In my defense, my huge attic was so inviting that wife started putting all sorts of crap up there and I put down plywood so she would fall thought the damn ceiling. Shoulda’ know better. 😉
Wife and daughter just touched down in Denver, next stop Burbank and they’ll be there by 9:50 Pacific Time. That makes for a long day.
Adee I learned from my mother at a fairly young age something confirmed by Her Highness in my old age and that is this axiom: Texpat’s Law No matter how many closets, attics, storage spaces and barns you have, the stuff you own will expand to fill it. It doesn’t matter if you build bigger and bigger houses. It is… Read more »
Good Evening Hamsters, We’re very much looking forward to that cold front’s arrival. Ugh, this is too warm for early December and does not put one in the mood for the holidays and decorating for same. I keep finding more decorations hidden away under beds and in closets I rarely go into. The smartest thing to do is get all… Read more »
Went to the graduation of my nephew from the Houston Fireman’s Academy, he is now a Fireman. My brother, his dad, is a HFD Fireman and put the badge on him at the ceremony. Proud of him, nephew is not real agile or athletic, and they put them through an almost boot camp drill in the Academy, but he made… Read more »
Don’t expect the dead House GoopeeCon party to hold the line the next two years.
look how many voted for the destruction of marriage act.
the Mc-Cons-All GoopeeCon party is dead. Killed by Kentucky Swamp Turtles, Linda Graham Crackers, Texas Cornholes and Cumbersome Culberson of days gone by.
time for secession or another party.
^^^^^THIS^^^^^
Think of the most evil, malevolent, perverted, comic book/slasher movie character and you are getting close to the heart of the power structure in the D party, and very likely the GOPeeeeeeeeeeeeeee $#!t stains.
The Dems would still like for you to believe that they are merely stumbling, bumbling incompetent fools. They are not. They are very smart, they know exactly what they are doing, and they are evil. Never underestimate them.
The human depravity. We are so shocked by this young man murdering a little girl in Texas with his bare hands, for no reason, no reason at all. And then we have the spectacle of a celebrity athlete being traded for a macabre, murderous freak on a runway in a country responsible for worldwide terror while an infamous, disgusting Mexican… Read more »
I frequently listen to Dallas radio in addition to KTRH, and of course Shannon’s story has been big news up there for a few days now. Of course Fed Ex is the deep pocket here so the media is demonizing them even though this guy was just a contract worker. Terrible situation though.
thx.
I have a redux at 49 too.
You can delete one of them if you’d like.
Or not.
#50 Shannon, I have no words,……. 🙁

I retrieved your comment. It’s at #46.
Nosing around here and and in spite of my best efforts to clean stuff out of this house that is left over, I found some Christmas decorations in one of the closets that I don’t use. Some lady posted to the local forum that she was in need of some lights/decorations, etc. for her little boy, so I called and… Read more »

Oh, and after completing lasagna ingredients shopping, I got a phone call from the surgeon’s office. I’m to go under the knife on the 16th. I have so much to do before then… But Hubby’s love languages are gifts and service, so I think he’s going to be taking good care of me. I also have a friend who’s not… Read more »
I attended midday mass, which was Low Mass. I felt for Father, he’s been battling a persistent cough for weeks. In a low mass, there’s no singing and the priest talks aloud more than in a high mass, where the choir sings Gregorian chant most of the time. Poor dude was trying to get the prayers out between small hacks… Read more »

NEW YORK, NY — Researchers are reporting that disinformation on Twitter, Facebook, and mainstream news sources is already down by 92% in the wake of a 24-hour writer’s strike at the New York Times. “We always wondered where all this harmful disinformation was coming from,” said Darryl Ball, a researcher with the Center for Combatting Bad Things Online. “Turns out, it… Read more »
You can go to this .gov page and see which 39 Republican House members voted for the gay marriage act that already passed in the Senate with 12 Republican traitors. I am going in at M-H Greater Heights (on North Loop) next week for my bi-annual bone density check. I’ve been having that done for 16 years. I called Oct 28 and the first opening they had was Dec 12.
See #18 for a story closer to home.
BTW, it’s just touching 80 out here now.

further investigation revealed that the old man lived off of Chili with Lentils. He was quoted as saying it put lead in his pencil.
Don’t mess with an old man. A concealed carry holder shot two teenagers who were trying to rob him Monday morning in Austin, according to Chicago police. [Austin is a Chicago neighborhood] The man, 56, was in his car in the 4700 block of West Arthington Avenue when three teens approached in another car just before 6 a.m., police said.… Read more »

Some time back I asked about the purple cabbage juice and y’all said soup. I browned hamburger, took it out and left the grease and browned onions in the grease. Houston we have a problem.
