GJT – every year, the newsies play footage of people standing in line to pick up pies from there for Thanksgiving, wrapping around the block… I’d say that it’s a good thing that she went when she did 😉
TexMo she tried calling The Flying Saucer to order, they told her they didn’t take orders, to just come get them. She was ably to walk in and get seventeen, all different varieties. That was Friday, I think, the lines will grow as Thursday looms, probably have already. Not sure about stock.
Early to bed out here tonight so I can leave early in the AM for Marble Falls. Should be back by noon if all goes well. Temps are supposed to remain above freezing but should have some precip. Nite nite all.

So yesterday I didn’t notice Godzilla in the WIP. Today I did notice the nude pin ups behind that picture of Dan Akroid and Chevy Chase.
I’m not sure if this classifies as a vision problem or if everything is all in order. 🙂

I never knew the Flying Saucer sold pies at the holidays. I may have to look into purchasing one if it’s not too late.
Wife has been out delivering Flying Saucer Pies all day to past clients, this morning she asked me to take stew meat out of the freezer to thaw and get it seared and ready and she would do the rest. I have my way of doing stew which is not the same as hers so as a trained hubby I… Read more »
108 El Gordo When I came up with that recipe 20 years ago by combining several different recipes, farm-raised Atlantic Salmon was $6.99 per Lb. It is now $12.99 per lb. so it’s up to $33 to $39 for the main ingredient. We usually make at least 2 meals for both of us so it works out to $8-$10 per… Read more »

Here is an interesting article on Australian lithium mining. In 1980, another metal was found at Greenbushes which, at the time, didn’t give the mine owners much pause for thought.
