I see my cohorts in crime are late to work this morning. I had a hard time sleeping, and about the time I finally started to sleep – my husband’s alarm clock went off.
So come on in, make yourselves at home. I’ll move the snotty tissues to the trash. Just excuse me if I fall asleep on you during the day….

Mornin’ Gang!
It’s a great day here @ Panama City Beach. My wife got here on Saturday night and left this morning, but we had two nice days on the beach. Grilled T Bones on Sunday and went to Sharky’s last night. I had Pineapple Mahi Mahi and a dozen oysters. Life is good. -

The problem is, I’m supposed to be seeing about an evening restaurant manager’s position this afternoon. I have to catch some snap by then…

Good morning Hamsters. Shhh, tread lightly today so as not to disturb Tedtam’s chance to get some sleep and escape the sinus misery for a while.
Light overcast again and barely a breath of breeze for a change, 74 at 6. Dappled shade on the lawn drifts over the bright spots as the smallest breeze slowly moves the branches above. It looks for all the world like the sunny spots going dark then winking awake at its whim . Bright, dark, blink bright again.
The Woodland TP folk report the container collecting relief items for Joplin has been at their venue, and the response is wonderful. It comes to Sugar Land tomorrow morning, at the Chick-Fil-A parking lot, 20010 Southwest Freeway (at the intersection of Grand Parkway/TX 99 and 59/Southwest Freeway). Fort Bend County Tea Party Society has it from 6:30-10 am, and we hope to have a good response from our area.

TT: Sorry to hear that you are back on the river of snot. been there, done that, bought the wissin t-shirt and didn’t like it one damn bit. At my worst I was going though an entire box of snot-rags in a single day and this went on for months.
UPDATE: Since going through 4-years of NAET therapy, I have not had a box o snotrags day in over 3 years. I believe that the root issues have been resolved, (allergies are a brain issue) and I am mostly free from that torment:>)

CNN has reported that, thus far, a member of Congress has failed to alert any Law Enforcement Officials after making the public claim that someone hacked into one of his electronic communications systems.
That, at least, is cause for concern.

As usual, Iowahawk explains the gravity of the situation.
The Weinergate facts, as we so far know them: on May 28, @RepWeiner, the verified Twitter account of US Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY), posted a tweet of a y.frog photo of a slightly-built white male straining to pitch a pup tent in a pair of grey Hanes Underoos. Within seconds, Congressman Weiner arrived at the scene of the cybercrime and instantly recognized it as the work of a hacker who had simultaneously broken into his Twitter, Facebook and y.frog accounts. Working quickly, and without regard to his own safety, Congressman Weiner used his elite law school-honed internet security coding skills to wrest back control of his accounts, delete the offending tweet and photo, as well as unfollow a Seattle coed to whom it was sent. His Twitter perimeter once again secured, the intrepid Congressmen sent out a new tweet explaining how he was victimized by an Internet criminal mastermind.
Since the incident, the famously modest Congressman Weiner had remained demure on how he single-handedly thwarted his anonymous attacker, and how the attacker managed to possibly steal his Blackberry camera phone. And, for whatever reason, has thusfar also chosen not to involve the law enforcement authorities. -

Well I’m back at the old farm house, I floated around in the gulf this morning but I had to head up here to Alabama around noon so that I could make the 2:30 Probate hearing for my Mom. She passed away on April 11, 2010, exactly 2 months before her 81 birthday. We filled for Probate on May 10, 2010 and waited the required 6 months and should have had this thing wrapped up by the end of last year, BUTT my Lawyer
wasis an Idiot! I’m sure glad that we’ve cleared one more hurdle, I’m the Executor of her Estate and now I’ll be able to dole out the money and fund three Trusts. Most importantly, I’ll be able to transfer the last 13 acres of my GrandPa’s place into my name for safe keeping. The house that I grew up in was on that piece of land. -

TORONTO – Rookie PC candidate George Lepp says he’s embarrassed that a photo of his family jewels was posted on his campaign Twitter account for about 20 minutes before it was quickly unzipped.
Alan Sakach, communications director for the Ontario Conservatives, said the photo was inadvertently taken by Lepp’s BlackBerry when it was in his front pocket. The photo was posted after someone took it from the candidate for the riding of Niagara Falls, Ont., according to Sakach.
“He is pretty upset and embarrassed,” Sakach said of a photo that was posted on Lepp’s account Sunday. “It was removed as soon as it came to his attention.”

HPD Chief Charles McClelland says that Kevin Will also died a hero. Just seconds before he was struck and killed by Johoan Rodriguez’s car, Officer Will pushed another man out of the way. KTRH spoke to the Chief:
“The man heard the impact before he hit the ground,” says McClelland. “But he credits Officer Will with giving him the prior warning of yelling ‘Get out of the way!’ it actually saved his life.”
The tragedy of Officer Kevin Will’s death is compounded by the fact that his killer, Johoan Rodriguez is an illegal immigrant who had twice been deported, only to find his way back into the country. Will is also the sixth consecutive HPD officer to be shot or killed in the line of duty by an illegal immigrant.

“twice deported”
But, but, but I thought the border was secure.
You know, One tRick Perry delivered that letter on the tarmac and all.
And he was on that Marlboro Man set telling us he was going to secure the border in that campaign ad. Six weeks later though, he dismissed it as “campaign rhetorick”.
Darn, if only he had meant what he said – another citizen would be alive today.
Not only that, he’s gonna run for President too!
Cuz he was “tea party” before “tea party” was cool!
Don’t you folks feel so much better now?

That citizen was a police officer too. If the borders were secure, that officer plus five others, would most likely be alive today.

The Hobbit Films Release Dates Announced!
Finally, after stalling several times, being threatened with continuing a director who is not Peter Jackson, and financial difficulties due to New Line Cinema’s recent woes, The Hobbit, a two-part movie phenomenon is finally coming to the big screen… with actual release dates. And, actually, it’s not “The Hobbit”. Not anymore. It’s “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” and its continuation, “The Hobbit: There and Back Again”. The first film “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” will be released just in time for Christmas of 2012 – on December 14th. The second film, “The Hobbit: There and Back Again,” will follow almost exactly a year later in 2013. While the films are being shot sequentially (and have been since March), the post production and special effects will be split, allowing Peter Jackson to complete the first film in time for its Christmas debut, and giving him nearly a year to finish up the second for the following season.
Now for the kicker – both films will be shot in 3D. If 3D wasn’t already hard enough (see our video of James Cameron and Michael Bay discussing the various difficulties and benefits of the format), shooting 3D with forced perspective is going to land Peter Jackson in yet another world of firsts. In my opinion, just given the difficulties of the way the Lord of the Rings was shot, this is going to be a spectacle that will redefine the limits of what’s possible in live action filmmaking. We’re also looking forward to seeing Martin Freeman take up the role of Bilbo, with supporting characters in Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett and even Orlando Bloom (who as you may recall should show up in his native Mirkwood Forest home).
If anyone can do it, Peter Jackson can do it.

The KKK does not care for Westburro (not)Baptist Church) either.
Don’t do the crime if you can’t protect your junk.
Police in southern Bangladesh say a woman cut off a man’s penis during an alleged attempt to rape her and took it to a police station as evidence.

Limousines, the very symbol of wealth and excess, are usually the domain of corporate executives and the rich. But the number of limos owned by Uncle Sam increased by 73 percent during the first two years of the Obama administration, according to an analysis of records by iWatch News.
Most of the increase was recorded in Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
Hillary Clinton and I have the same Uncle Sam. He’s much more generous with her though.

Well since we no longer have TV @ the old farm house (it’s the converter thing) I watched one of the several hundred movies that my wife has collected. When it finished up around 9:30 I walked out onto the front porch and sat in one of the rockers. While I was looking up toward my Mom’s house I noticed an animal on the side of the road, and I thought it might be a large dog. Remember this would be about 300 yards away and fairly dark, the only light came from the REA light at Mom’s house. Lee, my renter has a Redbone but it’s just a puppy so I became curious. I went to the truck and got my Pentax 10X50MM binoculars and stood on the porch looking up the road. It turned out to be a big Doe, grazing beside the road, she was looking right at me with her ears at attention so I think she may have seen me even though she was 300 yards away. Anywho, she headed off into the woods. That said and begging tedtams pardon, seeing that tonight makes me repeat my #1 “LIFE IS GOOD”!

Super Dave;
We’re going to be close to Panama Beach this summer. We’re travelling to a place called Dustin and it’s near Fort Walton Beach where Mrs. Darren spent her high schoo years. We’re excited. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay.

We’re travelling to a place called
DustinDestin and it’s near Fort Walton BeachFIFY, Destin used to be a small fishing village, we went there to take Charter boats out and catch Spanish Mackerel and Grouper. The only places to stay were one “Flea Bag Hilton” and a few house trailers, but sometime in the 80’s a developer moved in and put condos and several golf courses and such and now they won’t even let this old Red-Neck drive through he place. BTW; When I got out of Tech school @ 19 my first real job (not counting my years @ the TV shop) was working as a contractor on a Radar base at Eglin AFB and my first home away from home was 18 Wright Parkway, Fort Walton Beach Florida. 😉

Yup, I’m off to the Court House first thing in the morning to transfer the last chunck of GrandPa’s land into my name then it’s off to the beach, I’ll be sunning/floating by noon at the latest.

BTW Squawk, I searched “Coona$$” with a “K” and it doesn’t look offensive. Is there any cultural background behind the word variation to know about ? Also, I learned that “billy” in “hillbilly” is probably from a Scotish term which means “fine fellow”. Seems accurate to me.

Super Dave (soon to own beacoupe land in Florida);
Eglin AFB
Yup. My mother-in-law- was stationed there when Mrs. Darren and I first got married. I was on base twice. The first time as a newly web and the second time as a married man and father. The second time my Father-in-Law took our car onto the base garage and there we coulsd buy the parts I needed for repairs, do it myself (Father-in-Law actually did it as he actually knew what to do and how to do it) and the car worked fine afterwards. I save lots of money for not paying for labor. I also remember walking through a forest in the morning on base. We saw a tiny fire there and watched two guys dressed in fire suites put it out.
I’m glad for your how well things seem to be going for you and yours.
