Dangerous Idiot? Yup, I’d say so. Yesterday Texpat mentioned that she didn’t know the definition of “woman”! I happened to hear that exchange on the radio on Tuesday, unbelievable she is consumed in the “Woke” ideology.

I watched the video and there was a lot of questions on child pornography and the fact that as a Judge Ketanji Jackson always dished out punishment under the sentencing guidelines, every single time.
Also if you missed it, you need to go back and watch mharper’s #120, Jeremey’s Razors commercial, it is hilarious.

I keep a little TV on here in my office to catch the weather on the local stations and they kick off at 5 AM so I the national news is on before that. This morning, on ABC they had a puff piece about how the mean old Republicans were beating up on that wonderful Jackson lady. It was unbelievable! They showed several exchanges with the Republicans and then that pathetic Cory Booker slobbered all over her saying how important it was for a black woman to be appointed to the Supreme Court. The most shocking statement came from Patrick Leahy who said that the Republicans were just awful and that it was the worse thing he’s seen on Capitol Hill in all his 48 years in office!?!?! Did he NOT see the Kavanaugh smear campaign?! At least every question that the Republicans asked were based in facts not made up BS.

Just had to use the new super duper handy dandy log in, thanks Squawk!

Wilkinson Sword bought Harry’s for $1.37 billion in 2019.
Just another example of my axiom “The bigger the company, the dumber they are”.
I’ll be trying out Jeremy’s new razors. Why would I continue to do business with a company that hates me?

Good Morning, Mr. & Mrs. Texmo!
Just remember, as the pain day hits, that all of us here on the Big Comfy Couch are praying and hoping for a complete and speedy recovery!
And that the doctors put all the pieces back. In order.

Texas and Trump vindicated once again. Those sniveling, smug little imbeciles in the massive EU bureaucracy can wipe those smiles off their faces now.
BRUSSELS — The European Union is looking to the United States to help reduce its reliance on Russian energy and will be discussing major shipments of liquefied natural gas over the next two years during a meeting with President Joe Biden on Thursday.
EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told EU lawmakers Wednesday that she will talk with Biden about “how to prioritize LNG deliveries from the United States to the European Union in the coming months. We are aiming at having a commitment for additional supplies for the next two winters.”
She proposed that all natural gas storage facilities in the 27-nation bloc be topped up to at least 80% capacity for next winter and hopes that U.S. fuel will be a big part of it.
Somewhere there is a video of EU Parliament members laughing at Trump when he warned in a speech in Brussels about Europe becoming completely dependent on Russian natgas. They’re a bunch of weasels.
This will be a huge boost for the American LNG industry. I hope the EU has to pay top dollar for our gas. They don’t deserve any breaks.
The other thing that should be done is for the White House to reinstate its support for the EastMed pipeline.
Within the White House and State Department, that malpractice continues. Two months ago, the State Department reversed its support for the Eastern Mediterranean Pipeline that would bring Israeli and Cypriot gas to Europe via a pipeline from Cyprus to Greece. The scheme had broad diplomatic support. Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, and the Palestinian Authority established a forum in Egypt to coordinate gas development. France also sought to join, and both the United States and European Union requested observer status. It was a masterstroke of diplomacy bringing European and Arab states as well as former rivals together for a common purpose.
Unfortunately, it occurred during the Trump administration, and so fell victim not only to the Biden administration’s hostility toward fossil fuels, but also to President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s mania to reverse any agreement the Trump administration supported without due consideration of its merits. A letter sent by Representatives Gus Bilirakis (R-FL-12) and Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY-11) to Naz Durakoglu, a former staffer to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) who now serves as a principal deputy assistant secretary in the State Department, devastates the State Department’s stated position and the falsity of the facts upon which Blinken acted.

Coffee & Covid ☙ Thursday, March 24, 2022 ☙ RUSSIA-CHINA-INDIA
Good morning and happy Thursday, C & C! We’re almost through my vacation week, with all its many adventures in blogging on tiny handheld devices, and very soon we will be back to the normal schedule.
**************************
COVID NEWS AND COMMENTARY
In case you missed it, the Epoch Times reported on us this week: https://link.theepochtimes.com/mkt_app/volunteers-set-up-national-legal-network-to-help-covid-patients-families-in-dire-circumstances_4354229.html
*************************
Moderna published the results of its trials on kids aged 6 to 11, which found efficacy rates between 37% and 43%. On those results, the drug maker intends to request emergency use authorization from the FDA. Some of you may be old enough to remember when Fauci told us that an efficacy rate of 50% was the MINIMUM efficacy for approval of a vaccine. How times change!
I have a question. If emergency use authorization only applies during an emergency, how are the EUA vaccines still viable? It’s been over two years. Everybody agrees the pandemic is over, and we are learning to “live with Covid.” When do these EUA licenses expire?
*********************
Hillary Clinton, Jen Psaki, and Barack Hussein Obama all tested positive for Covid this week. But not Joe. I guess he wasn’t invited to the meetup. Maybe he was taking a nap?
All three were, of course, allegedly triple jabbed. This is Jen Psaki’s second bout with Covid in just a few months, since she was out for a week in October with a positive test. But, thank goodness for the shots, without which she probably would have gotten Covid two or three more times since then.
You may recall that Jen Psaki used to work for Hillary Clinton in 2014 as Clinton’s state department spokeslady. And, again coincidentally, 2014 was the year Zelenski was installed during Ukraine’s color revolution with US help. Just saying.
************************
US officials ratcheted up The War yesterday by declaring that Russia has committed war crimes in Ukraine by intentionally targeting civilian infrastructure lacking any military connection. Russia denies it.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry told US Ambassador John Sullivan that “such statements from the American president, unworthy of a statesman of such high rank, put Russian–American relations on the verge of breaking.”
Like the United States, Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of the international criminal court. Which raises the question, why make these kinds of announcements if it’s not actually going to go anywhere? It just invites Russia to start issuing counter declarations about all the United States’ war crimes in the various countries in which the United States conducts military operations. How about when when president Obama’s drone strikes took out a wedding in Afghanistan? Why invite this kind of scrutiny? Is it intentional?
One wonders. If you were TRYING to dismantle American exceptionalism it’s hard to imagine a better way than by officially pointing the war crimes finger at everybody else. Oh well! Never underestimate Joe’s ability to… you know the rest.

THE MINORITY REPORT
Speaking of Hillary, USA Today recently fact checked a rumor making the rounds lately that Ukraine was the single largest donor to the Clinton foundation. In fact, there is a graph I have seen several times showing Ukraine at the tippy-top of a list of donors.
USA Today says the chart is nonsense. A total fabrication. It rates the claim as five Pinocchio‘s. Now, USA Today DOES grudgingly allow that a Ukrainian billionaire IS the largest Clinton foundation donor, and that the billionaire has “extensive“ ties to the Ukrainian government. But TECHNICALLY the money didn’t come DIRECTLY from the government, you see, so that proves it, fact check false!
Isn’t it nice to have fact checkers on payroll, watching your back?
*******************************
One secondary theory making the rounds these days is that the Chi-Coms and the Sov-Coms are hooking up to oppose the WEF’s great reset agenda. To be clear, this is completely in the realm of theory, and I usually eschew theories in favor of facts.
But it does appear to be a fact that the Chinese clearly appear to be quietly supporting Russia in The War. And the geniuses in charge are just ratcheting up the rhetoric some more, now threatening China as well as Russia.
Last week, NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg told reporters that China had better check itself, and called China the worst possible thing:
“We face a fundamentally changed security environment where authoritarian powers are increasingly prepared to use force to get their way. Beijing has joined Moscow in questioning the right of independent nations to choose their own path. China has provided Russia with political support, including by spreading blatant lies and MISINFORMATION.”
Misinformation! China is a misinformer! They are misinforming people! And you know what happens to misinformers. It’s going to be Facebook jail for you, China.
**********************
The Guardian UK ran an article this morning headlined, “Rift over Ukraine exposed as high-powered UK delegation to India called off.” It seems that India’s Prime Minister told the British diplomatic delegation to bugger off.
The British were expected to pressure India over its failure to oppose The War. Instead, India appears to be in talks with Russia over combining payment systems. It’s a good thing the U.S. has a lock on the world’s financial systems.
Oh, wait.
************************
In solidarity with Ukraine, and massively signaling their virtue, VISA and Mastercard pulled out of Russia a few weeks ago. So China saw the opportunity, jetted in and linked up its UnionPay system with Russia’s Mir payments system.
And now Venezuela is in talks to link its crappy third-world system to Mir, too. But still, it’s the communist country from which Biden wants to buy our replacement oil. It’ll be getting lots of US bucks soon. Which it can then transfer to Russia, apparently.
Good thing for the communists that VISA and Mastercard are all woke and virtuous and stuff and put principle over profit. Otherwise it might have been hard to convince Russian consumers to switch. Now they would probably crawl over broken glass to sign up with any different payment system — even if it were designed by a Nigerian prince who just needs some help getting his money out of the country.
I’m sure all that WEF stuff is just a conspiracy theory, but one of the group’s publicly stated aims is to eliminate the United States as the world’s superpower. I wonder what they would have to do to accomplish that goal? Just asking.
******************************
Representative Michael McCaul (R-Texas), the top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, warned Fox News yesterday about an “unholy alliance” between Russia and China, saying the coordination between the two nations “will pose a lot of problems” for the United States and the West.
Problems. You don’t say. Plus, he left out India, Mexico, Brazil, and Venezuela. That could cause some problems too.
Wait! I forgot a couple. McCaul warned Fox that “this is the beginning of a serious alliance that will pose a lot of problems, and then you throw Iran in the mix and North Korea.”
If Biden sanctions China, our current supply chain issues will have just been the warmup act. “Whether it be semiconductors, medical, rare earth minerals — our economies are too intertwined, that going after China with similar sanctions we are with Russia will be far more difficult to achieve,” McCaul told Fox News.
It’s all going great! You don’t think the same geniuses who came up with a pandemic to stop an election would go for a world war to stop an election, do you?
I know, I know, it’s just a silly conspiracy theory. But silly conspiracy theories are doing pretty well these days.

Good morning, Hamsters
Another bright and beautiful sunrise graces us this spring morning, and we look forward to another comfortable day in the 70s. Pollen count is still at astronomical levels around here, reinforced by that northerly wind that dumped some more pollen to rival what we already are getting down here. Canada, our good neighbor, please keep sending the great weather but leave the pollen out. We have enough of our own.
Ah, the Biden Administration performs as foretold, staffed by dingbat misfits hither and yon. America’s enemies are rolling on the floor laughing at their good fortune. Hope all those who voted for Biden are suffering the consequences from their vote, including all the computer-generated voters.

Good morning gang. Got a little cooler out here last night than I had hoped for, but a quick inspection of the plants outside sitting next to the southern brick wall do not appear to have suffered as a result. Since I plan to be out of town on April 1, I’ll have to wait until I return to actually plant anything in the ground, and even then, I may wait a little longer since the plants are still small and the pots are pretty large. I might rather they develop a good solid root system before transplanting them. While the days are warming up nicely, I think the plants need warmer night time temps to really start growing rapidly. Same with the rose bushes that I planted earlier. So that solution to the whole thing seems to be to not get over anxious and let Mother Nature do her thing and the plants will in turn do their thing when the time is right, no matter what I think about it.
You all have a great day, and I’ll report back later as the day develops.

It’s apparently a fast-traveling virus.
The trans revolution reached new heights of absurdity last week when the BBC asked Anneliese Dodds, the Labour party’s shadow secretary for women and equalities, to define “woman.” Dodds proved singularly incapable of doing so; after saying that “it does depend what the context is,” she equivocated for several minutes and refused to give a direct answer. Her party leader, Sir Keir Starmer, later came to the rescue, telling Pink News that “trans women are women.” That is not, of course, an argument. In fact, by using the term “woman” without offering a definition, Starmer merely begs the question. But arguments and definitions are somewhat passé in our current political climate. Uncritical and obsequious recitation of the liturgical response that the progressive lobby demands is the order of the day. That not even all trans people buy into this mantra is never mentioned. They have, to use trendy progressive jargon, been made “invisible” by the political powers that be.
Dodds made a pitiful spectacle; she is an ironic victim of the anti-culture of endless inclusion that is now consuming the West.

I don’t why we can’t declare Manchin, Gabbard and Cheney free agents and send Liz to the Dem team and sign up Joe and Tulsi to the Repubs.

It looks to me like Joe Biden’s handlers decided to mimic the Eurogeniuses when they appointed Jennifer Granholm as Energy Secretary, the most unqualified, clueless person to ever hold the position.
The EU Mister of Energy is a 45 year old, Estonian woman who has never worked in the private sector, a political “scientist” (oxymoron alert) with no experience in oil, gas, coal or nuclear fields. Her name is Kadri Simson.
It’s as if the elites in power in the West are mocking us by appointed genuinely stupid, useless people to these jobs.

These are two important websites for conservative Texas voters. Bookmark these sites for later reference in this election year. Both groups rate all the Texas House and Senate members.
Texans for Fiscal Responsibility
-
There was a time years ago when I would defend John Cornyn. He was never a fierce defender of conservative principles, but I thought he would do it if push came to shove. How pathetic to see a former Texas Supreme Court Justice become the pet-trained monkey for Cocaine Mitch.
As inflation rates and gas prices continue to skyrocket across the country, the two U.S. senators from Texas, Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, took differing stances on a recent $1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill needed to fund the federal government for the remaining months of the 2022 fiscal year.
The 2,741-page bill* passed through the U.S. House on March 9 and was approved by the Senate the following day.
Cornyn approved the omnibus package, while Cruz voted against the legislation.
Although both legislators are Texas Republicans, they are often at odds. Most recently, Cornyn voted to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election, while Cruz requested an audit of the electoral votes.
*There maybe, if we’re lucky, a handful of the 435 members of the House and Senate who have any idea what’s in that bill.

Michael Berry interviewed this guy yesterday who cranked up a conservative job locating company called RedBallon.
We connect employers who value freedom with employees who value it too. We envision a world beyond cancel culture, where employees are free to work… without fear that they will find themselves on the wrong side of their employer’s politics.
That’s it. No agendas, politics, or drama. Just work. Interested? Let’s create that world together.

I heard part of that interview. Good for him!
Need more like that.
-
#19 – Cornyn showed his true colors long ago, and I’ve not voted for him since – just a no vote on that position, not a vote for the opposition either. I’ve long said that if Baytoe was serious about actually wanting to win an election and have a job, rather than just being satisfied to be a candidate raking in millions in campaign contributions (*), but with no real intention of ever actually having to serve in an elected position, he would have run against Cornholio rather than Cruz. Baytoe would have defeated Cornholio; the Reps know that and the Dems know that. The reason the Dems did not pit Baytoe against Cornholio is because they like him in the position he holds too much. The Dems long ago figured out how to select/elect the best person to further their own interests regardless of party – something the Reps have yet to learn how to do. If the Reps were serious, they would have run AOC against Nancy for Speaker, and she would have won. They wouldn’t get much out of AOC except for comedic value, but they would have sent Nancy to the bench which would have been a plus. Faced with a similar situation, the Dems would have done that in a second.
PS – (*) There’s some serious money to be made by just running for a high profile office.

I don’t know anything about Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath other than I would fire him today if I were governor. This loser has no idea what he’s doing.
After getting blasted for putting just two teachers on a 28-member Teacher Vacancy Task Force, the Texas Education Agency said it is expanding the group to include an equal number of teachers and school administrators.
Some teachers applauded the move, while others claim the whole thing is a waste of time.
Tuesday’s announcement said 24 more public school teachers would be added to the task force, nearly doubling its size.
The expansion comes just days after TEA Commissioner Mike Morath launched the task force at the direction of Gov. Greg Abbott. The group was tasked with recommending solutions to the state’s teacher shortages.
Originally, Morath assigned only two teachers to the task force, along with 17 superintendents and nine human resources administrators.
Yeah, you read that right. Incredible.

Can’t digitize those precious metals though – or can they. Government has been controlling the price of gold and silver through the use of paper contracts to short sell these metals for years now, depressing the real price through the underwriting of their dealer losses on these contracts. Anyone in the private sector doing this would be in prison for a long time. Buy metals if you can find them. If you have them and want to buy anything I have, I’ll always take metals over dollars for consideration.

Crypto currency mandated and controlled by the Feds could be ‘the mark of the beast’. A mark on the head or hand; I have read someone speculating that this could equate to thought and/or deed, and if your thoughts/words and/or deeds do not fall within the leftist G-Dless desires of the overlords then you will not be able to buy or sell.
I don’t know if this is true or not, however, I am convinced that cryptocurrency controlled by the feds is a very bad idea. -

Team Biden just set another record: 164,973 illegal migrants apprehended at the border last month, the highest February total in the Homeland Security Department’s history, up 63% from February 2021 and triple the February average for the Trump years.
The month’s total was a 6.6% increase over January — and a 350% increase over February 2020, when Biden had just taken office.
And Biden’s about to end the COVID restrictions that let the Border Patrol send many migrants back; officials expect an even larger surge once that happens.
Meanwhile, the prez is slashing US Customs and Border Protection funds by $428 million, to $14.8 billion, in the omnibus bill that’s sending tens of billions in new spending on left-wing priorities.
That’s right: Biden knows the surge is about to get even worse, yet he’s providing fewer resources to handle it. This, just weeks after bragging in this year’s State of the Union address about everything he’s done to secure the border.
In short, everything he says about getting the crisis under control is just more Biden bulls–t.
We’ve now seen 12 straight months of encounters over 150,000, and more than 2 million total on Biden’s watch — not to mention the estimated 500,000 illegal border-crossers who have avoided the Border Patrol and escaped into the country.
Add in the migrants caught but covertly released into the interior: 62,573 in January alone (more than a third of those “encountered”), with Team Joe still secretly shuttling migrants across the country.
Notably, an increasing share of the migrants (over a third) now aren’t even from the Southern Triangle countries that the Bidenites insist are the “root cause” of the surge.
In fact, the exodus began after this president took over and started undoing everything his predecessor had done to discourage illegal migration. Word is spreading worldwide that you’ve got a great chance of making it in, so the surge will only grow.

Bob Saget’s Widow Releases Statement After Claims He Felt Ill
By Jack Phillips March 24, 2022 Updated: March 24, 2022 biggersmaller Print
Bob Saget’s widow, Kelly Rizzo, said Thursday that the family is standing behind the medical examiner’s report after a crew member claimed told police investigators that the “Full House” star didn’t “feel good” on the night he died in January.“The records released tell the entire story—that is, Bob passed away after a fall and hitting his head in his hotel room,” the Saget family’s attorney, Brian Bieber, said in a statement to the New York Post on behalf of Rizzo.
The statement added: “Now that the medical examiner’s and police department’s records have been released after their respective thorough investigations, the Saget family would appreciate privacy to mourn in peace.”
It came after Rosalie Cocci, who produced Saget’s comedy show at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Florida, told officials that Saget wasn’t feeling well before his performance.
Of his performance, Cocci said, “He wasn’t sweating, he didn’t miss a beat, nothing slurred. … He came out very energetic.”
“I’m ready to do the show. This is what I do this for,” Saget allegedly said before going on stage, Cocci told the Daily Mail. She also mentioned to investigators that Saget was suffering from “long COVID-19” and told police that “he had been sick the night before—his hearing was off, and he had a sore throat.”
An autopsy report that was released days after his death revealed that Saget, 65, had COVID-19 antibodies. It also said that he had suffered from multiple skull fractures, internal bleeding, contusions, and other injuries.
They ruled that he died due to “blunt head trauma” on Jan. 9. His death was ruled an accident.
A single skull fracture would be indicative of an accident, multiple skull fractures indicates that he was bludgeoned to death. Unless you are a coroner in Arkansas, then multiple gunshot wounds to the back are obviously a suicide. Something stinks about this whole thing.

At a company-wide meeting with staffers on Monday, Disney leadership announced that it is planning to “take action” against Texas for the state’s order to investigate trans medical procedures on children as child abuse, inside sources told The Daily Wire.
The meeting began with Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterating his apologies for the company’s initial refusal to take a public stand against Florida legislation that would ban classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity with kindergarten- to third-graders enrolled in public schools. According to the insider, Chapek said that he appreciates the feedback he’s received from LGBTQIA+ employees and admitted that he made mistakes in addressing the “Parents Rights in Education” bill, but he said that “the pain this community experienced was not just about this one piece of legislation but about not being there anytime this community has been hurt.”
Chapek then said that Disney leadership will be going on a “listening tour” of gay, transgender, and non-binary employees.

What is a woman? Nobody knows—not even Supreme Court nominees. But we’ve come up with a few key indicators to look for. Run through this list and keep track of how many “yes” answers you come up with. The more affirmatives, the more likely you’re a chick!
1. Are you always cold?
2. Has a human ever popped out of you?
3. Have you ever decorated a bed with six or more pillows?
4. Can you tell the difference between cream white and rustic farmhouse white?
5. Have you run into a curb in the past 24 hours? Be honest, CAROL.
There is more here.

#40 – Well, I came over here to post that, but you beat me to it.
#38 – “At least two people in the Houston area have done that now” I didn’t know they actually publicized it that much these days. Frankly I would have guessed even more than two.

Today is the feast of St. Gabriel, which is a big deal in my parish, The Church of the Annunciation. I thought about going to mass, but I just crashed and woke up, and I still have to do payroll.
I would like to be at church tomorrow, for the consecration and mass.
There’s a big split in the Church, as to whether Francis is actually going to perform this consecration properly; even some discussion as to whether he’s a legit Pope to fulfill the request of Mary at Fatima. I hear Benedict is also going to pray the consecration, so maybe that will fulfill Mary’s instructions about consecrating Russia to her Immaculate Heart.
But all the bishops are supposed to participate, and I hear some are choosing not, especially the bishops in Germany.
God expects his instructions to be followed. Not even Moses was allowed to break rules.
-
Here’s one voice against the validity of this consecration tomorrow.
And here’s some info on Fatima, so you’ll understand why this is so important.
And why so many Catholics wonder why so many Popes could fail at this one thing.
