Catching up,….“Peak Stupidity” I noticed that Texpat posted about the man in Biden’s cabinet being named Woman of the Year by USA Today. SMDH
I heard that on the radio yesterday and sadly I wasn’t the least bit surprised. Feminism has come full circle. It started that women want to be treated and paid the same as men and promoted only because of their gender, men not allowed. Now men are not only competing against them in sports but for beauty queens and women of the year.
The Babylon Bee can’t come up with some this absurd.

When a society deviates from the simple concept that TRUTH is a recognition of reality – bad things always happen. In the Old Soviet Union a guy named Lysenko claimed that he could teach plants to grow in the winter. MILLIONS STARVED.
Today, we are told that a man can bear children and that one’s sex is a choice; this is just as insane as the above.

    Wednesday C&C

    *THE C&C ARMY POST*
OPERATION MULTIPLIER: Our next Operation Multiplier candidate is a good one. Representative Joe Harding sponsored the Parent’s Rights in Education bill that just passed the Florida Legislature and bans sexual instruction without express parental consent in all grade levels below fourth grade. It seems like common sense, but not to national leftist groups who are now savaging the young Republican representative, slandering his bill as an intentional attack on the LGBTQQIP2SAA community. Whatever that is. They even made up a hateful name for the bill that the national media routinely uses instead of the bill’s real name.

    So let’s multiply him!

We are sending a message to the national leftist groups. Attack good legislators for doing the right thing and then we’ll stand up for them. And by working together, the load is trivial for any one of us. We need EVERYONE to chip in, even if you’re not in Florida. Florida is moving the bar right now, fast and big time.

Do it RIGHT NOW in any amount ending in $2, so he knows it was C&C supporting this bill. Hopefully he’ll be encouraged to sponsor more bills like this one, and not discouraged by leftwing attacks.

You can give just $2, or $12, or $22 or whatever. Here’s the link: https://secure.anedot.com/joe-harding-campaign/donate. I’ll wait. I’ll be right here when you get back. It only takes a second. (Note: it’s not WinRed.)

Did you do it? Go back and do it if you didn’t!! It’s cheaper than a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Even small donations encourage candidates by showing support. And everyone reports feeling GREAT after joining Operation Multiplier. You will too!

    *COVID NEWS AND COMMENTARY*
Hahaha, slow Joe was too slow this time! He should’ve ended airplane mask mandates when he had the chance, but now Rand Paul could get the credit. In an article late last night, CNN’s headline was “Senate Votes To Repeal Travel Mask Mandates In Bipartisan Rebuke Of Biden Administration Policy.”

CNN called it a rebuke. Think about that.

The Biden Administration has been slow-walking the end of the airplane mask mandate, recently extending it through April 18th, ostensibly to allow the CDC time to create an incomprehensible and complicated flowchart or something, which my eleven-year old son could have knocked out in under twenty minutes.

The Senate’s final vote against the mandate was 57-40, with eight Democrats joining Republicans in favor of Senator Rand Paul’s resolution. (Only one GOP senator voted for keeping the mandate: Mitt Romney of Utah. Ugh. We should mail him some masks or something.) CNN’s article suggested the Democrats who voted against the mandate are up for re-election this year, implying that it recognizes voters do NOT want masks on planes.

Surprisingly, CNN favorably quoted a republican, Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi, who said “when the rules of government do not comply with common sense, it offends free Americans to have to abide by some silly rule and you can expect the objections we’re hearing from the public.”

You’d think CNN would immediately follow a quote like that with a rebuttal quote, but guess what’s missing from the article? The reflexive endorsement of mask science or any citation to any “expert” claiming masks are “generally effective.” Nothing. Not one word about mask efficacy. Isn’t that interesting?

The House is not expected to join in approving the measure, but you never know. We’ll see. But, the Senate Republicans’ continued pressure seems to be getting somewhere.

Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff has tested positive for Covid, according to wide media reports. Harris skipped a large White House “Equal Pay” event yesterday, leading many to speculate that she also may be experiencing symptoms. Both are triple boosted, allegedly. It was definitely not a saline injection. You can trust them.

In remarks yesterday, Biden reported “the First Lady’s husband” had tested positive. Somebody had to tell him.

This next story isn’t what it looks like at first. The New York Post ran an article yesterday headlined, “COVID and flu may spike amid spring break partying across US, experts say.”

Hahaha! You’re probably thinking, oh no, the media is never ever going to let Covid go. But that’s not it. It’s actually good news. The giveaway is the combination with flu. Covid AND flu “may” spike during Spring Break.

It’s the exact opposite of Covid alarmism. Covid is now fading into the noisy background of scare stories the media runs every single season, and which nobody ever really notices. They have to print SOMETHING. They couldn’t just do a regular “flu” story for spring break, because that would be weird, you HAVE to throw Covid in there too.

The “expert” quoted for the story explained she “expects to see cases of COVID as well as the flu rise again following spring break festivities throughout March and April — and going forward for years to come … every year there’s a blip after spring break.”

So. It’s not evidence that Covid is here to stay. It’s evidence people don’t really care anymore. It’s an “every year” thing now.

How long have you been waiting to see something like THIS? Yesterday, the Washington Post, of all places, ran a story headlined, “These Schools Did Less To Contain Covid. Their Students Flourished.”

Flourished! By doing LESS! You read that right. Hades has frozen over, or something.

The article drives an anecdotal stake through the demonic heart of school mask mandates.

It reports that “thousands of school districts — typically small ones in conservative-leaning counties” re-opened fast, stayed open full-time, and eschewed mask mandates in favor of recommendations. And, the article suggests, students in open schools did better academically than students in closed, mandated schools. Just as you would expect. And they didn’t experience Covid outbreaks or deaths or whatever.

WaPo stopped short of drawing the ultimate conclusion, the strongly implied opposing conclusion: that students in closed mandate schools SUFFERED academically, for no benefit in Covid stats. WaPo must feel SAYING IT would just be too much, too soon. But corporate media is clearly trying to shut down school masking, which is still the hottest issue activating previously apolitical people.

This isn’t too good for Narrative 2.0. The Phnom Penh Post in Cambodia ran a story last Thursday headlined, “Thailand To Pay $45M Over Vaccine Side-Effects.”

I know, right! You, like me, probably thought the safe and effective jabs were completely harmless. Because media and that slippery reptile Fauci said so.

    (Where IS Fauci, anyway?)

The article explained Thailand’s National Health Security Office (NHSO) has so far paid 1.509 billion baht ($45.65 million) as compensation to 12,714 people who developed “side-effects” after they received Covid-19 vaccines.

Side-effects. You know, like a sore arm and stuff, I guess. I have to guess because you can’t tell from the article, because it was too chicken to report what some of the claims looked like. But at those numbers, I’m guessing there’s some hair-raising stuff in that Thai claims database. If only we had a massive federal public health agency that would be interested in taking a look. Wouldn’t that be helpful? We might find something useful out. Oh well.

Remember all the people who told you the shots were COMPLETELY safe. Remember them. The day of reckoning WILL come. We’ll abide till then. And make lists.

Superstar reporter Julie Kelly, who recently wrote a book about the January 6th “Insurrection,” penned an article for American Greatness yesterday headlined, “From 15 Days to Two Years.”

Here’s my favorite line: “The most technologically advanced civilization in the history of mankind quickly adopted medieval fixes that bordered on quackery, sold by snake oil salesmen in the credentialied class and news media, codified through executive fiat by elected leaders of both parties.”

Haha! Yes! That, and she refers to Fauci as a charlatan and Birx as a dunce. That tickled me too.

It’s a great article, and I recommend it to you. But I disagree with Julie on one point. She thinks the benefits the left derived from the pandemic will ensure they’ll try it again. But I’m not so sure.

The reckoning has only begun. Look at Virginia. The reckoning isn’t universal. It’s not definitive. And it’s not over yet. Admittedly, while the left’s gains haven’t completely matured, they are starting to backpedal, hard. Trying to distract us with new emergencies. Trying to dump Covid down the memory hole. Hanging on to emergency powers. But, as I said, the reckoning is only getting started. I think the left is about to take a shellacking like nobody alive has ever seen.

Go ahead. Keep trying to reset us. It’s going to backfire on you, badly. There’s a reason politicians usually don’t do extreme things, dummy. You have our full attention now.

And just like that, another bit of evidence I’m right floated down the news river. Breitbart ran an article yesterday headlined, “Poll: Democrat Miami-Dade County Approves of Ron DeSantis, 28 Point Swing.”

I want you to think about that for a second. A TWENTY-EIGHT POINT SWING from blue to red. In one of the bluest counties in the country, Miami-Dade. It’s like South Manhattan down there.

The article reports that in 2018, crack-addled gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum won in Miami-Dade by +21%. Biden won the county +7% in 2020. Now, a recent poll shows DeSantis at a 48% approval rating, with only 41% disapproving.

“I think the poll confirms what we’ve seen,” pollster Fernand Amandi told the Miami Herald. “For Democrats to enjoy the type of margins that they’ve historically been accustomed to in Miami-Dade, they need to go back to basics.”

A Miami Herald article about the poll quotes the same pollster explaining, “These numbers should serve as the ultimate wake-up call for Democrats looking to knock off DeSantis or Marco Rubio in 2022, because Gillum carried Miami-Dade County by 21 points in 2018. And yet, here, 48% of Miami-Dade voters say DeSantis deserves to be reelected.”

    The ultimate wake-up call. So.

    *THE MINORITY REPORT*

Under pressure from media and both US political parties, Biden announced yesterday that he is calling for a ban on all Russian energy products. “Today I am announcing the United States is targeting the main artery of Russia’s economy. We’re banning all imports of Russian oil and gas and energy,” Biden explained. So far, his sanctions have exempted Russian energy products.

Following Biden’s announcement, the House immediately votes to approve the ban on Russian oil and energy product imports.

Biden admitted the step was likely to lead to even higher costs for Americans, which CNN described as “a potent political issue that is already leading to attacks from Republicans.” Too bad we already created massive inflation by printing all those Covid bucks last year. We’re in for some historic price hikes now.

Biden also announced the development of new technology that will allow consumers to fill out loan applications right at the pump in order to finance gas purchases. You can get a mortgage and gas at the same time, with only a little more waiting. Haha, just kidding.

Horrible inflation won’t be good for Dems in the 2022 midterms. Biden’s attempt to blame Putin won’t work, either.

Fox ran an interesting explainer yesterday, headlined “Russia Duped Europe Into Energy Dependence By Funding ‘Rabid Environmental Groups’: Experts.” The subhead explains, “Russians actually fund some of the most rabid environmental groups in Europe.”

The gist is that Russia has been creating or supporting anti-energy environmental groups in Europe and the U.S. to stop everyone from developing their own sources of energy, like shale gas.

The article reports that 15 years ago, Europe produced more natural gas than Russia, but all that changed as Russia increased its natural gas production and Europe reduced it. “Europe decided not to frack in large part due to CLIMATE ACTIVISTS,” the expert explained.

Unsurprisingly, it also happened here in the U.S.. WikiLeaks published a private 2016 email from Hilary Clinton, where she’d written, “We were even up against phony environmental groups, and I’m a big environmentalist, but these were funded by the Russians to stand against any effort, ‘Oh that pipeline, that fracking, that whatever will be a problem for you,’ and a lot of the money supporting that message was coming from Russia.”

One of the first things Joe Biden did after getting hold of the executive pen was to shut down U.S. fracking. Just like Putin wants. Just saying.

Seems like India is rebuking Biden too. During his presidency, Trump made huge progress in building bridges to India, a key strategic ally in a geographic region dominated by our two biggest enemies: Russia and China. Upon taking office, Biden promptly destroyed our goodwill with India and quickly turned them hostile to the U.S., in a way that only Joe can do.

The predicable result? Another boon for Putin. Recently the Economist printed an article headlined, “Why won’t India’s government condemn Vladimir Putin?” It features a headline picture showing India’s president embracing a smiling Putin.

The gist is that India has officially abstained from condemning the Ukraine invasion, continues to buy energy products and weapons from the Russians, and is not participating in sanctions. On March 3rd, a State Department official briefed Congress that the Biden Administration was considering whether to punish India for its reliance on Russian arms and equipment.

That would be profoundly stupid, and would only push India closer to Russia, providing it with a huge ally in the emerging world conflict. Which almost guarantees that Joe will do it. He can’t resist. As former president Obama once said, never underestimate Joe’s ability to screw things up. Except he didn’t say “screw.”

If you got all the way down here without multiplying our candidate, I forgive you, just do it NOW: https://secure.anedot.com/joe-harding-campaign/donate.

Nothing much shocks me about this whole COVID nightmare, but this article does.

    This is a must read.

A military medical officer testified in court last week that she was ordered by a superior not to discuss her findings regarding the DoD’s Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED) during the hearing. DMED provides web-based access to active military personnel and medical event data.

On March 10, Liberty Counsel, the law firm representing thirty members of the military who are fighting the military vaccine mandate, returned to federal court to defend the preliminary injunction Judge Steven Merryday granted two military plaintiffs that allowed them to skirt the military vaccine mandate. The Department of Defense (DoD) asked the judge to set aside the injunction while the case was on appeal.

    and,

Dr. Theresa Long, a flight surgeon who holds a master’s degree in Public Health and is specially trained in the DMED, gave emotional testimony on March 10.

She and two other flight surgeons reviewed DMED last year and made some stunning discoveries about the high incidence of apparent vaccine injuries among members of the military.

According to the whistleblowers, certain disorders spiked after the vaccine mandate went into effect, including miscarriages and cancers, and neurological problems which increased by 1000 percent.

The Department of Defense refuses to call any witnesses to expose them to cross-examination.  The judge has scolded the government lawyers for acting arrogantly. Unbelievable.

    Good morning Hamsters,

Another chilly morning (45 at 7am) presents a marvelous sunrise to behold, barely a breeze to be had, and no frost today.  Live oaks are shedding leaves with vigor, and with every wind gust they go skipping and tumbling through the air and over the ground.  So much for having swept the sidewalk and driveway.

Our solo American Elm is already putting out leaves and is usually the first one to do so, perhaps encouraged by the increasing daylight and temperature.  We got it by mistake from a Boy Scout fundraiser years ago, as that tree’s range stops in the middle of Oklahoma.  It was supposed to have been a cedar elm that grows well in our climate.  It has gorgeous golden leaves in fall.  Our tree service arborists just shake their heads that it is doing so well so far out of its range.  New arborists for the company see it and always ask “It is a what?” and have never seen one like it.

About the Baytown Drag Strip, I’ve mentioned this before, but back when I purchased daughter’s second Z28, we took them both to the Drag Strip and lined up. With my .231 reaction time Vs her .638, I pulled her out of the hole by three car lengths. About halfway down the track she blew past me and turned a 13.47 @ 118 to my 13.98 @ 98. I went on the whoop one of those Mustangs with a blower, (I forget what they were called) I only won because the kid was very inexperienced and not only did he have an incredibly slow reaction time he missed third gear. I know this because I talked to him. That said; if he’d have another 10 feet he’d have beat me. We were neck-in-neck going through the traps and I only knew that I won by the digital display clock.

#5 and #6 are both MUST READ articles for today; they are related. Protective Legislation or not, there is no protection from fraud. Pfizer and Moderna knew that the jabs were dangerous and had lots of bad side effects, but they suppressed that data so that they could make billions forcing the shot on a trusting public. The military is actively suppressing the empirical evidence that the shots are dangerous and ineffective; at this point, any officer above the rank of Captain are suspect – like the FBI.

In the past I have paid about $500 to deep root feed the two live oaks in the front yard and to spray them with the copper fungicide. I have thought about running that fungicide through my power washer, but I’ve been afraid of what it would do to the pump.

Those sound like some decent numbers for a stock Z28 with the LS1 engine.

I never did anything to either my ’99 or ’02 TransAms besides a Borla cat back exhaust. Actually I did change out the rear end on the ’02 to a 3.73. The shop that installed the new ring and pinion didn’t get it exactly balanced. I had an annoying hum at about 65 mph in 6th gear. I was always prepared to tell that story to any cop that pulled me over. “Officer I HAVE to go 80 mph so I don’t have to listen to that infernal hum!” 🙂

Checking in briefly – we are scheduled to go through a cave later, then Aggie Beau will bring me back to the condo while they go on a five mile hike. I am scheduled to make my chicken curry stew tonight, and I’ll be throwing in leftovers since we are doing a dinner show tomorrow night. Friday we start heading back to Denton. I should be back home some time over the weekend.

Got only one wake up cuddle this morning; yesterday I got double wake up cuddles. I live for those first-thing-in-the-morning moments with the girls.

I don’t know if anyone caught my small recap of yesterday’s vacay, but L’il Darlin’ had a great day yesterday. We went to a trout fishery and she caught not only the largest fish of our group, but possibly the largest of the day. Most trout are 2-3 pounds (from what I’ve been told), and hers was four ounces shy of 6 pounds. We named him “Dinner,” he lived up to his name. He fed all of us last night, seconds included. The rest will be taking up residence in Lovely Daughter’s freezer in a few days.

We also played Monopoly, the girls for the first time. They were given some advice, which they sometimes rejected, but I tell ya’ – y’all better watch out. Those two did extremely well. LD2 actually won the game, taking out first Mommy, then Nona, then Daddy, and finally Sunshine. The girl is a SHARK.

I am thoroughly enjoying this time with them. I am still fielding phone calls about the apartments, though, which is the only blemish on this trip. I wish the new owners would step up and take care of business.

BTW – there is nothing cuter than a 7 year old dimpled smile with the words “The deal won’t be a sweet the next time, Nona!”.

My boy got his 99 5 speed Z 28 into the low 11’s but it had headers, aftermarket heads, intake, mass sensor, fuel injectors and cam. It also had a homemade traction cage that helped get the tires to hook up. That made a big difference on repeatability. He dyno’ed his car before the modifications and after every mod. He kept a loose leaf notebook of all his dyno pulls, modifications and time slips along with the dates. He sold the Z for top dollar since he had the notebook to document all the work and progress. I’ll have to ask but I think the best dyno pull was 380 RW HP.

These people fired the commanding officer of their air force for advocating Germany buy F-35s.

WASHINGTON: In a major reversal seemingly driven by the crisis in Ukraine, the German defense ministry announced this morning that it will buy the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter to replace a portion of its aging Panavia Tornado fighters.

The decision is a major win for F-35 manufacturer Lockheed Martin, as Germany had ruled the F-35 out of the Tornado replacement contest in 2019. Instead, defense officials had floated the idea of replacing the Tornado with a mix of Eurofighter Typhoons and Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornets, the latter of which would be outfitted with equipment making it capable of carrying B61 nuclear bombs.

However, the F-35 has come out on top, with Defense Minister Christine Lambrech announcing this morning that Germany would purchase the F-35 for the nuclear sharing mission, replacing its nuclear-capable Tornados by 2030.

Would it be impolite for me to start laughing out loud for awhile ?

The Wall Street Journal is exclusively reporting that Saudi Arabia is in talks to deal with China in the yuan instead of the U.S. dollar. The reaction has been a worldwide collective gasp.

Joe Biden’s recent dumping of Afghanistan is just one of the reasons behind the Kingdom’s stepped-up talks with the communist regime.

The overwhelming number of oil deals in the world are done using the U.S. petrodollar. Moving to the yuan, at least in deals with China, which buys 25% of all Saudi oil, will have a huge impact on world markets. It also calls into question the U.S. dollar’s prominence as the world’s reserve currency.

It is hard to underestimate the fiscal calamity that such a possible move could have on the strength of the U.S. dollar and prestige in world markets. Conversely, the potential move to the yuan could elevate China’s currency to new prestige.

The Journal spoke to Gal Luft, a national security expert who’s written about possible “de-dollarization.” Luft said oil markets are the “insurance policy of the status of the dollar as reserve currency. […] If that block is taken out of the wall, the wall will begin to collapse.”

This could be the most damaging policy move Biden has made yet.  The ramifications long-term and enormous for America.

The RX7’s with the Wankel Rotary Engines respond well to porting, polishing and advanced ignition timing, just like a 2 stroke. I didn’t know they’d make 13K RPM but I’ve seen one do 9K plus. I had a buddy at Hobby that was an A N P by trade and was always tinkering with any sort of motor. He found an old 73, worn out Mazda station wagon with the Wankel engine and started rebuilding it. He bought a book on ramping up the power by porting and polishing and doing a complete re-curve of the distributor. That thing would move! Another buddy had one of those sporty Chrysler I 4’s with a turbo and it would move out pretty good for an 80’s auto but that Mazda grocery getter left him like he was tied to a tree, I know, I was riding Shot-Gun with him.
Last I heard he wanted to find an old RX 7 with a run out motor to put that motor in. I’m not sure if he ever did because he was always moving on to something different.

This is very important in America taking back control of the future of its children.

In my last piece, I covered the recent decision in Coalition for TJ v. Fairfax County School District, where the court declared that a new admissions process for a highly-regarded STEM-focused high school was unconstitutional, finding that scrapping the old merit-based process in favor of “racial balancing” (based on Kendian “equity” principles) was clearly illegal under decades of Supreme Court authority. I also noted that individual public administrators could face personal liability for their involvement in adopting such “woke” programs, as the clear nature of the law puts their usual qualified immunity in serious jeopardy.

Another recent decision (Hiers v. Board of Regents of the University of North Texas) amplifies this latter point. The Hiers case should serve notice to public university administrators that while wokeism may be the accepted narrative of the faculty lounge, the law is not so easily ignored—and that continued violations may well result in their being held personally liable.

The federal courts are not sympathetic to the continuing ridiculous nonsense invoked on campuses to violate the First Amendment rights of citizens.  SCOTUS already made it clear the personal liability protections for school administrators and faculty are not applicable in these cases.

If enough of these cases are filed, the schools are not going to keep paying legal fees to protect these thugs.  They’re going to be on their own and then they will be bankrupt.  That will get everybody’s attention.

Years ago I made a comment that it would take a major major disaster in this country, a disaster so great it would have to shake us to our core, for everyone’s attention to be done got.  Due to the passage of time, like so many other people I had forgotten about the Oklahoma City bombing (Murrah Bldg) and how our country was shaken to the core.  Well along came 911.  I thought ah ha now our country is gonna wake up everybody’s attention is gotten.  the US had its Kumbaya month and bang back to business as usual.

The system in our schools is set.  Just like everything else in life even they will have set backs and they just come back with some other spin.  I am convinced that the only hope this country has is to return to the God of our founders and embrace the moral foundation that once guided this country.  I am convinced that our system is broken and wound is too deep to heal.  I am convinced that answer is for me to embrace and trust God to live a semi peaceful life cause it was man’s system that got us in this mess therefore no system man candevise can clean this mess up.

I took JoJo to a new vet today. She has a recurring problem with chewing the fur off of her haunches. Our long-time vet had a bad case of Covid last year, and ended up closing his practice. He provided 2 recommendations in the general area, and I had taken JoJo to one of those, but their treatment didn’t seem to do much good.  I have neighbors who switched to the other one, but I didn’t because they were curb-side only until just recently.

I actually won a vote to spend government day hanging out at the courthouse. Was soon informed that Married couldn’t represent the school in xtra curricular activities.
