Nay, I don’t recall ever being aware of Art Bell prior to moving to Houston. I know it’s on at night on one of the stations here, but I’ve never listened to it.  I’m into Dan Bongino and Dana Loesch.

Well, I made it all the way to 9PM, so guess I can make it another hour before bedtime. I think tomorrow may turn out to be Friday, and that means high school football, so I’ve got that to look forward to. The old man’s daughter called this evening and we had a nice visit. The pending sale on his… Read more »

Hey, in Midland we lived out in the country on 5 acres of garden farmland. Had chickens and ducks and a border collie family pet. Not deprived, not depraved. The only thing odd about ME was I was reading science fiction from age 14. I had a friend my age from when we lived in Sweetwater, and when we’d go… Read more »

I saw some clips of the do2tj Alligator being grilled.

He’s a real sleazeball.

Way to go Cornhole.
That’s fine judgement you displayed in voting for him.
Was it case of one sleazeball supporting another?

Idiot.

Looks like the Germans got the better end of that deal.

That’s what I thought. I’ve been buying their regular beef sausage for a few years now. Saw that and thought why not. Cooks up chunkier and less greasy than most chorizo I’ve had but still has that great flavor I like.

Hey, I saw Moon Pies in a store recently! I think it was the Food Town on Antoine, where I go when all I need is bananas and milk.

No, I wasn’t tempted. Don’t actually recall ever eating a Moon Pie.

Early dinner tonight as chicken drumsticks were on sale, so I once again harvested dead limbs from the mesquite tree, fired them up on the Weber wannabe, and grilled them to perfection for about 45 minutes. I’ve been using some old Slap Yo Mama that I found in the cabinet for seasoning but I ran out. Surprisingly, I was able… Read more »

My latest response to SJW at the Batt: I am attending a viewing tonight and a rosary tomorrow. Family thing on Saturday. Plenty of teachers in our families, too.

Their problems are due to their liberal educrat friends (all former teachers).

And the breakdown of society at the hands of the rest of the liberals and Leftists.

Some of them act like theirs is the only profession that’s tough.

I have a number of teachers in my family so I tread lightly on the subject. One of them is a huge lefty who became a teacher as a second career after retiring. She was heavily recruited by HISD. She actually wanted to teach in an inner city school (some kind of ‘Dangerous Minds’ complex?). So she moved to Houston… Read more »

What Challenging an ETS Looks Like Historically, OSHA has only used the ETS process a total of nine times. Of those nine standards, six were challenged, resulting in only one standard fully withstanding scrutiny. I voted NO on Prop 2.

ElGordo is gonna rap my knuckles with a 24oz. framing hammer for voting in favor of the local school bond election.

They’re going to build a new high school and repair the 50-year-old current one and make it the Junior High.
