I want to say this to every snowflake who says words are violence and who can’t handle opposing viewpoints.

Whenever they want to cry about how hurt they are that they are facing some kind of mental or emotional opposition….

    from earlier this morning:

I like the long grain and wild rice mixture. Add butter to a pot and caramelize onion in it over medium high heat. Add the rice and stir until the grains start to change. Slowly add chicken stock, just a little at a time, stirring constantly making sure that the pot is deglazed. Once about half or 3/4 of the stock is added, dump the rest and cover until done. Be sure to check a couple of times and add some water if necessary.

DO NOT LET THE RICE STICK AND BURN ON THE BOTTOM OF THE POT

It takes a very strong will power to not get seconds of this rice.

Texpat, if you are around and so inclined, would you be so kind as to make a post of all 27 pages of links? I did not get to download that part of the article. Perhaps this would be a good side-bar post so that they would always be readily available.

Morning gang. I posted earlier on the old page, but I saved my morning greetings until the new OC came up. So, have a nice day. I went to coffee, and now I’m waiting for the mailman to deliver my gaskets to complete my outdoor part of the electrification of the store room after that arrives.

I need to paint the door frame as well, and I may go ahead and do that while I’m waiting on the mail, but I don’t want to distract from the hole in the wall project since it is forecast to maybe rain sometime this evening or tomorrow. No local news worth reporting. Progress reports may come is as time and progress allows.

12:01 AM is one minute after midnight.

All of your recent front page post times are logged as 12:01 AM by WordPress.  It requires you to schedule the post in military time, but records the published time as standard time afterwards.  In other words, 00:01 becomes 12:01 AM in the archive.

    Good morning Hamsters,

Dark clouds have moved in, and the wind has picked up considerably so Old Glory is getting a workout on the front porch.  No rain yesterday as had been predicted, but today looks to have some–or a lot.  Rain just started and is quite vigorous now. Temp is down to 78.

Spouse and I had the #3 Covid booster last week and the seasonal flu shot yesterday.  When we got home  spouse read in the newspaper that it was safe for both to be given together, no need to have them separately.   We prefer to have them separately anyhow, as if either one causes issues, keeping them separate solves the problem of who did it.  Both of us had moderately sore arms as we did with the previous two, and the first night they were sore enough to encourage not sleeping on them.  Each day afterwards the soreness was less and today it is essentially gone.

HEADLINE: 3,000+ Doctors, Scientists Accuse COVID Policy Makers of ‘Crimes Against Humanity

Something tells me that this whole Covid Crapola may wind up being the straw that broke the socialist, big government camel’s back. As more and more people realize that the hysteria and blocking of treatments was just a vehicle to gain power – they are going to get really angry to the point that they may reconsider their own ideology.

What other disease in modern history would “the experts” order that you do nothing to treat early with proven safe, efficacious drugs and, only when you become critical do you go to the hospital where they will probably kill you?!? Then, for those whom they have not killed using the above non-efficacious regimen, use extreme pressure to get you to take an experimental, DNA altering, non-sterilizing ‘vaccine’ in the midst of a pandemic thus disrupting the natural course of viruses to be less lethal over time? If one were trying to kill and maim as many people globally as possible, this would be a great way to do it.

The generator #1 input outside and output inside are complete. The rubber pads came today and I cut out gaskets to seal the mounts, got the mounts on the brick (more drilling through brick and using those plastic anchors to lock it all on, got the electrical wiring all proper, and screwed it all down tight. Plugged in an extension cord outside and my shop light tested every outlet – they all worked. No smoke, no sparking, no static on the radio – good enough for a shade tree electrician like me.

Generator #2 is virtually complete. The mounting board is anchored to the brick and I just need to mount the exterior plug, connect the wiring, screw it all together, test it, and I’ll be done. But my arms are worn out from having to use my heavy duty drill to make the anchor holes, and they were already tired from drilling the 2″ holes yesterday. I was able to work in the shade all morning, but Mr. Sol is now tipping over to the west side, so the shade is gone and it’s getting hot. So I’ll take a break until later this evening to wrap this up. The hard parts are done.

I’m not really sleepy, but my muscles are old and tired, so I do need to rest them up a little. Be a real shame to get out there right now and screw something up because I was too sore and tired to pay attention to what I’m supposed to be doing. Looks like the paint the door jam job will just have to wait another day – or few. Break time, but probably no nap – but that nap monster has a nasty habit of coming around and catching you off guard. More later.

My ink was running out while I was trying to manage the emails and phone calls.

Pulled out the replacement cartridge – WRONG ONE! DANGIT!

I pulled out the existing toner cartridge and shook it, managed to squeeze out a few more pages of print. I’ve actually been shaking it for about a week now – a trick I picked up some time ago. Shaking the toner cartridge will give you quite a few extra pages, but you may have to shake it more than once. I think I reached the final shake this morning.

So, finally got the documents signed and digitally signed, copies made…then ran to the big box office store to get a new cartridge. Next up…ordering the cheap ones, making sure I get the right cartridge number this time.

#1  Mastercard’s Plan to Create Digital IDs for All Australian Citizens

They’re using an anti-pornography campaign to create this and sell it to the Aussie government and we know what those thugs are all about these days.

#2  Davos World Economic Forum 2020 Master Plan

This is a video of a guy in Israel demonstrating to his American friend the deep links into a very broad, complex plan for reorganizing and controlling populations through political, communications, biomedical methods.  It is truly bizarre.  This may just be the fantasies of globalist fascists, but there are a lot of very influential and powerful people involved in this project.

Both links are disturbing and bring up all kinds of questions and potentially evil consequences.

If a conspiracy requires it be executed in the dark of night, in the shadows, does a grand level fraud conducted in broad daylight like the criminal theft of a national election in the United States of America with millions of citizens screaming about it as it goes down qualify as a conspiracy or an outright coup d’état ?

Does the creation of a rogue, autocratic regime by unelected public health bureaucrats before the very eyes of the nation fit the definition of a conspiracy ?

Gotta admit, that’s the first Evinrude I’ve seen in a hotrod.

Back in another life I was going to spend my retirement years building a Rotorway Helicopter from a kit and back when they first started out, they needed a small, lightweight but powerful engine and chose the Johnson/Evinrude 99 CID 115 HP V4. They came up with a way to water cool it and used it for a while until they found that the odd firing V4 would eventually shake the chopper to pieces. After that they designed their own pancake 4 air cooled engine much like all general aviation AC engines.
BTW: Thanks for the memories, I’d about forgot about Rotorway and didn’t know if they were still in business……Huumm maybe after I get the new barn/shop built I can get right on that. 😀

    BUT mullet is about $2.50

That’s what Hammie used to pay, before tipping his hairdresser.

Thomas DeLauer is a keto/fitness guru. He does “keto haul” videos on what you can find and buy in various stores.

It’s always interesting when he does the dollar stores. You can actually get some good stuff there.

I don’t really care who she trades tongues with.

As long as her balls are as big as Manchin’s.

I think Sinema is a regular old opportunist and likes doubling her odds on getting laid or she just likes being the center of attention and I believe it’s the latter.

Or maybe that pretty little blond always trailing her in news photographs is her lover.

What the hell do I know ?

If you’re confused you need to review your 12+ tables from third grade.

I am all good. I actually prefer military time. My cell phone displays military time.

I use the 24 hr clock too because I deal with people in Mumbai. Whenever I set a deadline, I quote the time in military time with the time in both CDT and IST. Sometimes they have a habit of working until 22:30 their time which is 12:00 our time. That’s well and good except when I want something by 08:00 CDT.

Meanwhile, when Pelosi spoke to Congress today, she made a pretty big slip when she spoke about the Build Back Better bill. She said that there was a requirement to pass the bill and “keep government open.” “We have to do those imminently,” Pelosi stuttered. “More imminently to fully address the full Obama agenda of building back better.”

The full whose agenda, Baby Jane?

And that cat’s outta da bag.

I cannot believe catfish is $8/lb.

I never bought it in a store and, in fact, was never a big fan.  The only time I recall truly enjoying catfish was when Shannon and I had some fresh out of the stock tank 4 to 5 pounders in the early spring.  We hung them from a tree at the ranch and skinned and filleted them right there.  Lean, no fat and little oil, end of winter catfish.  We took them straight into the kitchen and fried them and that was excellent.  Didn’t taste like catfish at all.

As I hit post comment for my #113, I looked at bar at the top of my phone and it said 9:50. It did a software update last night. I can’t imagine why it would change the time format on my phone.

Hey Phil, can I borrow some tin foil? I must have some gaps in my hat.

The only way I’m allowed to fry fish around here is outside in a fry cooker or on the gas grill burner.  Even baking it is forbidden in the house.

I think my exposure to catfish was similar to what you describe there. I liked fried catfish when I was a kid in Sweetwater. There was a lake and it was fresh-caught catfish and then cooked before the sun went down. Move to Midland, no lake, no catfish meals that I ever recall. Later, in Austin, I had fried catfish at a restaurant and I found it barely edible. Nowadays, I’m much too chicken to try. (I do like Gorton’s fish sticks, wild-caught pollock according to the label.)
