Well it looks like y’all had a lot of fun in my absence, sorry that I didn’t have time to chime in but what a day and we had a fine visit with sister and she consumed all of her 1 Lb+ T-Bone. See Y’all in the morning,…..and YES! It is past my bedtime. 😉
Rice is supposed to play a football game this weekend against MTSU, but no fans will be allowed into the stadium. Now I hear that there will be no radio and no TV as well. Wonder if they will have a scoreboard or keep score, or statisticians. Someone has to man the cameras for instant replay for disputed calls. This… Read more »

OK, the keyboard is back in service. I think it just had a little bubble in the plastic circuit board looking thingy and was not making contact with one letter. The keyboard has a Lenovo sticker right in the center on the back of the keyboard with all the spec and stuff on it, and sure enough, when I removed… Read more »

My response:
“Sorry.
We’ve been kidnapped by aliens.
Keep you posted.”
Hey, out here where we have no terrestrial TV and very limited, static charged radio, you gotta do red neck engineering to get any kind of news from the outside world. Now surely one could take those Bose speaker wires and cut off any type of proprietary plug in and make it work on just about anything. As to sound… Read more »

What kind of broke-down fake Oktoberfest do Lutherans run? How can you have an Oktoberfest without (lots of) beer? Just got an update/count on the yesterday’s Trump Car Rally and Parade in Bellville.
75 vehicles
13 motorcycles
That’s more than the typical Austin County Fair Parade.

139. The problem is the Bose speakers have a non-standard connection to the receiver. I don’t think I could find a receiver/amp I could connect to. There are five speakers that all plug into the bass module, then one cable that plugs into the receiver.
#138 – Those Bose speakers will be just fine. Hang on to them and toss all that other crap away and get some new. All the electronic wizardry in the world won’t do any good without good speakers, and Bose is still the top of the line.
I have a Bose system that’s probably 20 years old. The remote is broken and it doesn’t have the modern connections. I would like to get a new stereo system. I used to keep up with that technology but no longer have a clue. Guess I’ll need to educate myself.
Texpat, about the TV, if I have the time I’ll ask the boy he keeps up with this crap religiously and always knows what is the best performance to price. That said, you’ll likely have one before I can get back to you.
