I got started late, but I just finished the faux top for College Buddy’s nightstand drawers. As I stated earlier, these were leftovers from MIL’s house, half of a set of old wooden drawers from a chemistry lab in some university – probably Georgetown. We also have an antique cabinet from their first library. The top of this four drawer… Read more »

Is there enough carbon dioxide in a fart to attract mosquitoes?

Finally got the wireless printer and BFF’s Win 10 machines to cooperate with each other. Took a lot of time and a little swearing, but they work now. Tomorrow is a travel day for sure, so night all.

DIY mosquito trap Cover the back of your fan with regular screen material. Rojas recommends a MaxxAir drum fan that you can find at normal hardware stores. Use rare-earth magnets to anchor the screen in place. Turn the fan on. The power of the fan sucking in air is strong enough to trap nearby mosquitoes against the screen material. Place… Read more »

Her Highness is one of those women who attracts mosquitoes like nobody I have ever seen. Put her and me together at a backyard party in the summer, and we’ll look like we’re dancing disco together. The first time I met Hubby’s parents was 1979, at their house on the San Bernard River. In case y’all don’t know, that was… Read more »

Lock down?! Phuugg! I’ve ignored most of it. Being Re-Tarred, out in the sticks has it’s advantages….Gaining weight? Nope, I work my arse off, most every day, so I’m thinking that I may have to get a new belt, mine’s kinda’ loose. That said; Life is Good, in my world, I cleaned up my Bear Creek Trial, from the Kudzu… Read more »

#65 Texpat Obviously you are not privileged like me. The City of Sugar Land sprays my enclave once a week to kill the vermin. It definitely helps. I can go to a friend’s house across Hwy 6 in the county and I notice the difference. BTW, I am like you. They rarely bother me and if I get bitten it… Read more »

Since I do not have to commute and I work only part time now, I was waking up at 6:30 am. Last week I started waking up at 5:30 am to exercise. I am still walking after lunch and sometimes after dinner. Oh, and I’m still doing that keto thing.

I don’t believe anything these liars say about covid anymore.

Can’t believe the market is stupid enough to fall for Dr Fraudci’s bs anymore.

So I joked about Hamous fitting into his pants today. Coincidentally I had an appointment with my CPA and dentist today. It has been about 90 days since I’ve worn slacks. I have worn jeans while riding my motorcycle. The dentist visit was interesting. All the employees wore a mask. They put this thin, clear piece of plastic over my… Read more »

Something a bit different today. I get a call but don’t know an Olga or anyone from Irvington and did not answer. It rang again so I answered. I could barely understand what she was saying with such a heavy accent, Russian I guess. Not something I hear often or ever. I figured out she was the hot shot driver… Read more »

Ratboy said Houston will move the Dick Dowling and Columbus statues in time for Juneteenth.  When you appease one group you inconvenience at least one other.  Columbus was given to Houston to celebrate some anniversary by the Italian Americans.  So we have two groups inconvenienced for one.   Lady Antebellum is now Lady A cause antebellum is a reminder of… Read more »

Indeed I did. Got home about 15:00 and had to immediately change back into beach attire. I think I’ll have to do some quantitative easing into wearing work clothes.

If you have a choice, never, ever, ever go near Win 10. Periodically BFF talks me into updating her computer, which then leads to all kinds of complaints that it doesn’t work like it used to after updating. Win 10 is evil, and the people who write it are even worse. That is all for now. PS – sorry to… Read more »
