Weekend Open Comments

The temperatures are climbing.  I see that 80 degree temps are here, so I must hurry to finish my gardening and digging before mosquitoes chase me from my yard and the dirt gets too hard dig.
What will you do with this weather before the blast furnace heat moves in?
Oh, and beware the extreme super moon!

#78: While working on a ranch in Alberta a nmber of years back, the owner and I were mending fences along the road. A classic Texan, cadilac, long horns on the hood, big hat type drove up and stopped. Thinking he needed directions we stopped work and walked over. As we got close he said to the owner, ” How… Read more »

#86 This is not at all unusual, and there is a completely rational explanation for it.

When it first started rising it was huge.

While I’m perfectly capable of going there, I’m not gonna touch the nearly obligatory wang joke. I’ll leave that to the resident expert, who cut her teeth on a Wang.

The high point of my weekend occurred after the garage sale. A woman was interested in an exercise machine but because it wouldn’t fit in her car with her big a$$ and all her passengers, my friend sold her on it by saying she would deliver it. Now note that I was the only helper there who was driving a… Read more »

But the problem is that it is not only Muammar al-Gaddafi who has identified the coastal cities of Libya’s eastern Cyrenaica region as al-Qaeda strongholds. The analysts of the Combating Terrorism Center at the United States Military Academy at West Point have as well. The findings of the latter are based on the so-called Sinjar Records: captured personnel records identifying… Read more »
