Mornin’ Gang -
I think that I’ve found the problem; Biden’s eye fills with blood during CNN climate town hall.
From the article;Biden, 76, has long been plagued by health issues. In 1988, he suffered an aneurysm that burst and required him to undergo emergency surgery. The then-senator was so close to death that a Catholic priest began preparing to administer the sacrament of last rites.
Months later, surgeons clipped a second aneurysm before it burst. Biden then took a seven-month leave from the Senate following the surgery. Describing the operation, he once said, “They literally had to take the top of my head off.”
Jill Biden said in her recently released autobiography Where the Light Enters that, at the time, she feared her husband would never be the same. “Our doctor told us there was a 50-50 chance Joe wouldn’t survive surgery,” she wrote. “He also said that it was even more likely that Joe would have permanent brain damage if he survived. And if any part of his brain would be adversely affected, it would be the area that governed speech.”
Well, that explains a lot.

So, which one of y’all sent the hop weather over here? We’ve been enjoying cooler/dryer than normal weather for a while, but it hit 97 yesterday and we’re shooting for 98 today. HOT!

National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre is responding to the declaration by San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors voting to unanimously declare the group a terrorist organization with the release of a new video showing members of the NRA to be many hardworking Americans with a variety of backgrounds.
The less-than-two-minute video opens with a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors bashing the NRA as a “domestic terror organization,” which the city officials voted on Tuesday to do.
“I shake my head and I go ‘what the heck is going wrong in our country?’” LaPierre says in the speech shown in the video.LaPierre continues, “Let’s give them a real clear view on who we all are: How many police officers do we have here today? Please stand up. Anyone who works in health care in any way, anyone who works in education, if you work in manufacturing, construction, if you work in a trade–maybe a plumber–and how about stay-at-home moms? If you own your own business? Firefighters out there, if you’re in the military or a vet, if you obey the law, stand up and be recognized as Americans. I want all the media to look around this room right now and see us for the American people that we truly are. We are law-abiding Americans who believe liberty is a blessing. We love our country. I promise you we’re never going to stop fighting for your right and folks just like you all over America that have the right to defend themselves. So, we’re not going to give up or apologize that in a dangerous world, the Second Amendment is often all we have. Every one of these Americans are what we’re about.”

1957 GMC 101-8 Suburban Pickup Prototype – “The Palomino”
With the innovations of Harley Earl in the design center, a fat budget, a factory to make anything you wanted, GMC built a one-off prototype slab side pickup with too many custom features to count. The called it “The Palomino” and it was built for the NY Auto Show in ’57.
This truck has a very rich history of living for many years in West Virginia with a dealership owner after it toured around, then it lived in Pennsylvania for a number of years with a few owners. Ralph Wescott of Largo FL collected 55-59 GMC suburban pickups and when he learned of this truck, he HAD to have it in his collection. He flew to Pennsylvania in an unsuccessful attempt to purchase the truck and the owner was adamant that he was not selling it. Ralph spent a lifetime in the scrap metal business and he was always polite and always direct. Ralph said “OK, I understand. I’ll just wait and buy it from your widow,” That comment would make a lot of people bristle, but in the end that is precisely what Ralph did – he bought the Palomino from the man’s widow. Ralph kept it for nearly a decade but fearing that he might saddle his own family with the challenge of properly moving it as he aged and his health declined, Ralph took the matter into his own hands and sold off his entire collection (pictured at the end of the photos below). I’ve known Ralph for nearly 20 years and he’s a really good man who loved his GMC pickups. His collection was pretty stunning.
The Palomino is 1 of 1 manufactured by the factory in 1957 for the New York Autorama. In fact, Ralph’s vanity plate for the truck was 1 of 1. It was outfitted with a V8 Pontiac 347 cubic-inch engine. It has custom US. Royal Master Tires made for all GM 1957 show vehicles only. Custom paint colors by GM for Autorama show (paint number FXGold.) Custom leather interior by GM for Autorama show vehicles.
The first owner was Mr. C.L. Hanna of Wheeling, West Virginia. It was sold by Seibright Cadillac/GMC also of Wheeling, West Virginia. After Mr. Hanna’s death, the truck was acquired by his grandson, Charles H. Stolze of Falls Church Virginia. Clyde W. Horst of New Holland Pa became the next owner in July 20th of 1979. In July 3rd of 1983 it was acquired by Mr. & Mrs. Jack Robinson of Bird in Hand, PA. Ralph M. Wescott of Largo, Florida became the vehicles next owner in April 14th of 2004. At that time the vehicle had 9,345 miles. -
Confirming the Second Amendment…
A Houston, Texas woman is still alive after defending herself against five male attackers. She did so with a luxury that presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke does not want her to have: a gun.
Around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Lachelle Hudgins pulled in at her house and parked her vehicle, with the driver’s side window partially open. Before she could even get out of the vehicle, she was ambushed by a group of men. As two of them attempted to reach through her window for her purse, Hudgins reached into her bag and pulled out her firearm.
“I couldn’t do anything except scream. At one point, they told me to stop screaming, and he reached his hand inside my car,” Hudgins said. At that point she fired two shots, resulting in the thugs fleeing.
The NRA ought to feature this in their promotions and give Lachelle Hudgins a lifetime membership.
-
#8 TP: IF the NRA was really smart, Ms. Hudgins would be featured in a commercial. This would gut the waaaaycist angle the commie Ds are always trying to pull against the NRA and it may actually encourage a few more blacks to get off the D plantation.

HEADLINE: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Walks Away From Democrats: ‘I Have Evidence Something Is Wrong’
On Wednesday, former Grey’s Anatomy actor Isaiah Washington spoke with Fox Nation about his decision to join the “Walk Away” campaign rejecting the Democratic Party. He said he left the Democrats partially because the liberal party isn’t really helping black Americans.“The reason why I chose to walk away from the Democratic Party … something doesn’t feel right. I’m walking away I don’t know where I’m going, but I know where I come from,” Washington said. “And if I look at the political lineage of the Democratic Party over the last fifty years of my lifetime since I was five and I’m 55. And very little has changed in my community.”
“I have some questions, I’ve got more than questions. Now I have evidence, I have empirical evidence that something is wrong,” he added. “The problem I have with the Democrats is you haven’t done enough.”
One of the commentors opined, and I agree, it isn’t that the Ds haven’t done enough; it’s that what they have done has been so blasted destructive.

Pro-gun, pro-God – this movie can’t get regular distribution for the obvious reasons. It won awards at a movie convention. It is currently scheduled to show only one night – October 24th – because of the problems they’ve had getting past censors (R rating? Really? For scenes that are tamer than those I see on TV??) and the distributors flat-out refusing to carry the film.
Buy your tickets now and tell your friends. Stick your finger in the eye of the lefties in the movie industry.

I just saw this on Ace, and it merits a re-post here:
What to do about California? Meet my leettle friend:
10 U.S. Code 333:
The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by
any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to
suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful
combination, or conspiracy, if it–(1) so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the
United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is
deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the
Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that
State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or
immunity, or to give that protection; or(2) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.
In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to
have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the
Constitution.Some notes on this law.
(A) Denying people their 2nd Amendment rights – as the blue states do – qualifies as a clause one violation.
(B) Interfering with the operation of immigration law – as the blue states do – qualifies as a clause two violation.
(C)
Under the last paragraph of the law the Blue States would lose their Senators and Congressmen, and their electoral college
votes. If CA loses their Senators and Congressterds, there are real benefits to we, the normals. If CA loses their electoral college votes, there will never be a D POTUS again.
The real question is: How do we pull the trigger on this one? -
Thanks to everyone that participated in my friends question yesterday. The data collected will help develop new WIFE’s SANITY saving devices for drowning roaches.

Good coolish morning Hamsters. A whole 72 out here on the moors of the Brazos at 6 made my day, though it’s now 84 and likely to make 100 in Houston. A lazy breeze comes and goes as we slide down toward the official arrival of Fall on the 23rd. Will be glad to have it arrive. Rain seems unlikely today.
Regarding Joe Biden’s sudden red eye, a broken blood vessel in the white of the eye can appear with a simple hard coughing or sneezing spell and is scarcely a tragic event. It does not affect vision, just looks creepy, and will resolve in a few days as the blood is absorbed. Can happen to anybody, any age.
-
Morning gang. I’m not feeling real chipper today. It was supposed to be a travel day, but looks like I will have to wait until tomorrow. You all have a great one.

I just ordered a couple of chapel veils, which is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while. I’ve been reading up on the practice of veiling, and it just appeals to me, as many of the ancient Church traditions do. I’ve noticed more women veiling recently. It used to be all bare heads, with nary a veil to be found, and then only on the older women. Now, I’m seeing it in younger age groups and definitely on a larger number of women.
I may see if I can locate or make a few cheap ones to give to willing Confirmation students this year.
And I think I may start receiving the Eucharist on the tongue instead of the hand. That’s after watching part of this video on exorcism.

NAF Vice President of External Affairs Melissa Fowler also testified she recognized StemExpress—a human tissue procurement lab exposed in Daleiden’s undercover videos that is now under federal investigation—as a repeat vendor of her for-profit organization. NAF is a third-party abortion trade group.
The nine-day hearing is the first time Planned Parenthood leaders and affiliates have publicly gathered and testified in court since Daleiden’s Center for Medical Progress published 11 undercover videos featuring Planned Parenthood leaders discussing—and in some videos displaying—the harvesting and selling of aborted fetal organs and tissues.
and,
In the final minutes of Tuesday’s hearing, Doe 3, a third-trimester abortionist, took the stand, at which time the AG’s office played a nearly 20-minute, never-before-released undercover video of a conversation between her and Daleiden, described by some in the courtroom as “shocking.”

There’s some horrific images and videos at this Twitter feed. Apparently, black South Africans are beating and burning to death other black Africans who come there for work.
Meanwhile, people pour into the USA and get lodging, food and medical care because Americans are not savages. We may be an easy mark, but we aren’t barbarians.

Re: Dog paddling roaches in the terlit.
Wife #2 had this annoying habit of over reacting to everything to the point that she did not think about possible solutions. She just reacts. I was sitting in my easy chair minding my own business when I heard a horrifying shriek of terror coming from the main bathroom. I got up and ran to see what was happening expecting to see the aftermath of a Friday the 13th Jason movie scene. What I saw was this crazy woman trying to beat a tree roach to death in a toilet full of water with a toilet brush. So I asked what she was doing and wife #2 related the story of why she was blowing up terlit water all over the place. Meanwhile the tree roach was catching a breather while struggling to get from the center of the toilet to the side to make his escape. I did not help my cause by laughing and suggesting she might consider just flushing the thing down the toilet. I reach around her and did just that, flushing twice to insure the roach could not return and wreak havoc in the house once again. wife #2 could not see the humor in the scene I was presented with and I got to have two weeks of absolute quiet in the house. I knda wish I coulda saved that roach, he deserved some reward for providing me 5 minutes of funny at wife #2’s expense.

ROFL!
I remember reading a book while sitting on a couch in a previous residence, I believe the first year of marriage. Hubby and his Mentor were outside doing some manly things with engines or sumpin’ in Mentor’s garage next door. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed something moving on the bookshelf opposite me.
It was a tree roach. OMW – and it was LOOKING AT ME!
I thought I was imagining things, so I moved to the opposite side of the couch and noted that said insect turned as well. Freaking out a bit, I moved back. So did the roach. The wissing thing was STALKING ME! Weirded out by now, I decided to go visit Hubby and Mentor and walked across the room to the back door….
…right in front of the freaky bug. I was walking quickly past the book case when something brown left the shelf and ….
…It took off after me. Screaming like a girl, I jumped to the side. Freaky Bug CHANGED DIRECTION IN MID-FLIGHT AND LANDED ON MY LEG. OH MY EVER-LOVIN’ …..IT’S ON MY *****LEGGGGGGGGGG*****!!!!!!! I could feel it’s scratchy feet on my thigh!
Still screaming, I jumped to my left and did the happy bug dance on the floor. Imagine the “Maniac” scene from Flashdance, in 10x speed. Then I realized that ** I MIGHT HAVE KNOCKED IT OFF MY LEG AND I MIGHT BE DANCING ON IT!***
[Note: please remember from previous posts that I cannot squish bugs. It makes me immediately and violently ill.]
Terrified that I might have bug guts on the ball of my foot and all over the floor by now, I jumped to my left again. Vastly relieved to find plain oak floor where I had previously been pounding my feet, I whimpered a bit and then quickly went out back to find Hubby and give my heart rate a few minutes to calm down.
Of course, he laughed. I wanted to slap him. He did go into the apartment to see if he could find my winged tormentor. Freaky Bug had escaped. I walked around nervously all the next day, waiting to be ambushed by my bête noire.

I’m certain that is a light fixture. They have them down at Bellaire too. It is mainly decorative since they project light up/down and not out. There are other light fixtures under the bridge decking that point downwards.

New candidate in Virginia Senate Race for 2020.
Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia will be seeking reelection next year. Many consider him a prohibitive favorite. However, Warner nearly lost in 2014, and might lose this time around if the GOP has a good year.
But defeating Warner requires a strong Republican challenger. Until recently, such a challenger was lacking. Scott Taylor, a former congressman, who entered the race in July does not fit that description for the reasons I set forth here.
Now, a strong challenger has entered the race. He’s Daniel Gade.
Daniel is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, who served for more than 20 years. In 2004, he deployed to Iraq where he led his unit on many combat missions, was wounded by enemy fire twice, and was decorated for valor.
Daniel’s second combat wounding resulted in the amputation of his entire right leg. He spent the next year in the hospital, enduring more than 40 surgeries.

You have just confirmed what I knew. Wimminz be funny when it comes to bugs. Maybe one of these is in your future. You can even accessorize it with a bug beam laser adapter. I am assuming for precise targeting.
-
It appears both sides of the aisle love 62*, so I punticate nirvana has been found.
-
If you flush a roach it will just find it’s way back. A little soap/shampoo to break the surface tension and it will drown. If you use it for target practice it will be very angry and you will wake up with it in your ear. Or worse.

Her father had to witness the excruciating pain during the treatment his four-year-old daughter had to endure. At that time the only treatment was nitrogen freezing.
