Not one person has been indicted nor has the funding of taxpayer dollars ceased.

A Planned Parenthood affiliate at the center of the baby body part sales scandal recently reported a record $100 million income.

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, based in San Jose, California, was caught in a series of undercover videos allegedly selling aborted baby body parts for profit. A U.S. House investigative committee later referred it to federal authorities for criminal investigation, but there has been no word on the investigation for almost a year.

Now, according its Federal Form 990 filed with the federal government, the California abortion chain is reaping in a record amount of money.

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte reported an income of $109.7 million during its last fiscal year (July 1, 2016, to June 30, 2017), including $70.4 million from taxpayers. California is one of more than a dozen states that forces taxpayers to pay for elective abortions.

The abortion chain paid its top six employees about $1.3 million in salaries, and reported an “excess income” of $15.5 million, according to the filing.

A large chunk of the money came from taxpayers, but the undercover investigation by the Center for Medical Progress suggests that more may have come from the sales of aborted baby body parts.

Yesterday as I was leaving work, four does and both sets of twins walked right by, within 15 feet, and headed across the road. I have mentioned that at least one of the twins was a buck since he was so rambunctious and his mother was always looking for him, after he wandered off and I assumed that the other one was a doe. This is a little unusual since most deer twins result from the egg splitting and producing the same sex deer. But yesterday, I noticed the two small buttons on both of the guys, on one set of twins, horns barely coming through the skin. As they crossed the road one of them was mounting one of the does. He’d jump up and she’d just walk out from under him, paying him no mind. I knew, right away, which one he was.

The inevitable cannibalizing among the Left. Jerry Seinfeld tried to warn his fellow comedians about campus gigs.

Saturday Night Live writer and comedian Nimesh Patel was kicked off stage by Columbia University students on Friday night halfway through his performance because students found his jokes “offensive.”

Patel’s comedy skit was cut short after the students who organized the event interrupted him and demanded that he end his performance early.

The students got on stage, took the comedian’s microphone, and denounced his jokes in front of the audience, as first reported by The Columbia Spectator.

Morning gang. Another crystal clear, cold morning out here with frost on the punkin. A mid-week holiday for grieving former President Bush I suppose – will we be taking a complete week off for grieving when it’s Obama’s turn? Oh wait, the people who will be grieving Obama don’t work anyway.

OK, time to start getting my game face on. I know the football game isn’t until tomorrow, but it takes planning to make sure that the mood is right. Have a good day folks.

#8 – What’s wrong with that? Comedians stopped being funny years ago, and students stopped being students years ago.

In other news, a big Axis doe just paraded outside my window, but I didn’t see her fawn. Then she went over to a brush pile and there he was. Now she is grooming him. I first saw them a couple of days ago, so I’m guessing the fawn is still a couple of days shy of a week old. Looks like a spotted dog. They don’t seem to be grieving too much, just grazing. But much more interesting to watch than a comedian.

This is a pretty cool event to attend if you’re in Austin this weekend.

Humanities Texas will host its ninth annual Holiday Book Fair at the historic Byrne-Reed House in Austin on Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Twenty-seven noteworthy authors—including Lawrence Wright, Sarah Bird, H. W. Brands, Elizabeth Crook, Joe Holley, Bill Wittliff, Carrie Fountain, Michael Barnes, Mimi Swartz, Chris Barton, Don Graham, Bethany Hegedus, Kyle Longley, Austin Bay, Kenny Braun, Samantha M. Clark, Xelena González, Paul Woodruff, Bronson Dorsey, Virginia A. Cumberbatch, Leslie A. Blair, Bill Wright, Wyatt McSpadden, Barbara Morgan, Kevin Robbins, Anne R. Keene, and Jennifer Ziegler—will visit with the public and sign copies of their latest books, which Humanities Texas will offer for purchase at a discounted price. Available titles include works of fiction and nonfiction, with selections for both adult and youth readers.

    All proceeds benefit Texas libraries.

I’ve always wanted to meet Lawrence Wright and who wouldn’t want to meet Austin Bay from Strategy Page and Instapundit ? I’d say hey to Mimi Swartz, too.

I read Lawerence’s book about Texas History since it was a gift from a librarian friend. If you read any Texas Monthly article, regardless of the subject matter, you’ve read them all, and you’ve also then read Lawrence’s book. I don’t know all of the others, but generally speaking, it does not look like a crowd I’d go out drinking with.

Speaking of telling stories, radio host Michael Medved related some from the book Fly Boys as part of his on-air tribute to GHW Bush this week.

This acclaimed bestseller brilliantly illuminates a hidden piece of World War II history as it tells the harrowing true story of nine American airmen shot down in the Pacific. One of them, George H. W. Bush, was miraculously rescued. What happened to the other eight remained a secret for almost 60 years.

After the war, the American and Japanese governments conspired to cover up the shocking truth, and not even the families of the airmen were informed of what happened to their sons. Their fate remained a mystery–until now.

In case you don’t know — I didn’t, until I heard it from Medved — you can find out at this link.

Who knows what kinds of protocols the White House officials have to go through to make certain that everyone is in the proper place and that everyone knows their place at events like this. Were there foreign heads of state there? Only heads of state are celebrated with state dinners for instance – the PM of Great Britain is not a head of state, so no state dinner there – only if the Queen appears. You think these family gatherings are tough for some people, imagine the intrigue and power plays that are going on for something like this. Looks like the transition of power in the Bush family to heir apparent George W. is just as intriguing as the bigger picture.

This merger between CRTV and The Blaze is a little weird. Mark Levin doesn’t own CRTV as best I can tell, even if he is their feature star. The people that own and run it have already had to pay out nearly $4 million to Mark Steyn for what they did to him. Now they’ve joined with Beck’s nearly bankrupt outfit and brought Gavin McInnes on board. I think this is a really bad sign for Levin. It won’t help him and I think it is why Michelle Malkin abruptly resigned from CRTV.

FBI number two Andrew McCabe told the House the same thing. “The two people who interviewed [Flynn] didn’t think he was lying, [which] was not [a] great beginning of a false statement case,” McCabe told the Intelligence Committee.

Only later, after Comey was fired and Mueller began his investigation, was Flynn accused of lying. He ultimately pleaded guilty.

Mueller’s sentencing recommendation specifically mentions the suspicion that Flynn violated the Logan Act. It says nothing about the Obama Justice Department’s blackmail tale.

Hill Republicans have been suspicious about the the Flynn case for quite a while. But they have not been able to get their hands on some key documents and testimony that might tell them what happened.
