Well, good night, Couch Pals. Me, I overdid today to a greater extent than would be normal for me, 5 years into retirement. And it wasn’t the yard work. There are several areas I am volunteering to help the HOA, and it is suddenly getting super busy. I’ll probably survive the busy spell.

Texas A&M’s texasinsects.com: Description: These insects are wasps, not ants. Females are wingless and covered with dense hair, superficially resembling ants. The red velvet-ant is the largest velvet-ant species, reaching about 3/4 inch in length. They are black overall with patches of dense orange-red hair on the thorax and abdomen. Males are similar but have wings and can not sting.… Read more »

I’ll have to step and support Shannon on the Red Velvet ant. Used to see them in the country around Ganado all the time in 60’s & 70’s. Interesting that it’s the female that has the bright colors and as expected – the stinger.

That’s right.

She was his Aunt Red Velvet.

It is a neat but not gaudy bare knuckles essay driving to the heart of the matter of President Trump’s capable management of the job he was elected to do. Despite the howls of anguish from the losers of every stripe, including RINOs and most of the media types, he keeps on keeping on, and America wins.

#25 Texpat, yes but she was one of the little people and was no way as important as his political career, completely expendable. I will say that even though the stupid Massachusetts voters kept in the Senate for life, his deplorable actions that night, doomed his political ambitions to become President forever.

Yesterday marked the 49th anniversary of the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. She was carelessly and criminally left to die in a submerged car in the middle of the night by Ted Kennedy.

If there is a hell, Ted Kennedy is there at the bottom of a lake, trapped in a car and slowly suffocating – for all eternity.
