Wow, Drudge sure is late to the party on the Tommy Robinson story.
-
Drudge had that story headlined yesterday or the day before, I believe. Covered the riots and all.

Good Morning fellow couch-dwellers. I am going to spend part of this day cleaning a couple of very old book cases, the kind with the glass doors that lifts up and slides back over the top. My aunt gave them to me and they were originally in the Pillot House, which is now a museum in Sam Houston Park. Pillot is my paternal grandmother’s maiden name. Preserving history, and remembering our heros who died to help provide for the existence of our country seem to go together today.

I wonder how many custimers dropped cans and run over fingers and other forms of anti-protest protests took place in the Publix stores where these actions took place?
HEADLINE: Shoppers Step Over Bodies at Hogg-Led Publix Protests
How many paying customers berated the commie “protesters” and banged their carts into them, by accident of course, while they were busy hindering this store’s ability to conduct business? Did Publix even have the balls to call the cops and have the tresspassers removed and charged? If no, this is the kind of thing that kills a thriving business.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the terd featured here, is the father in law to one of Lurch’s kids. I wonder when that horse-faced, traitorous bastige is going to be charged with treason?

Mornin’ Gang,….again.

HEADLINE: Shoppers Step Over Bodies at Hogg-Led Publix Protests
This type of way after the event cheerleading, done completely devoid of any knowledge of what actually happened, hurts the cause.
The upside is that Publix has ended all political contributions, including those they make to Planned Parenthood.

#3 Bones, pictures, we need pictures.

Good morning Hamsters. Bright 72 at 6, and it looks to be a lovely day if hot. Already 83 out here on the moors of the Brazos.
A solemn day to remember those who died in service to our country, beginning at the beginning and up to the present. Honoring them brings peace and our pride in those who gave all, and deep appreciation.

Word of the day; Tattoo, I saw Squawk’s post over yonder with a picture of a military cemetery with this word on a plaque. I already knew what it meant but I wonder how many folks know this. I’m betting most here does.
tattoo1
/taˈto͞o/
noun
noun: tattoo; plural noun: tattoos
an evening drum or bugle signal recalling soldiers to their quarters.
•an entertainment consisting of music, marching, and the performance of displays and exercises by military personnel.

Seen over yonder; Stolen Valor, Angel Flight.
I’ve seen this before but I did watch it again,….oh, is somebody cutting onions in here? -
Who is Tommy Robinson?

Who is Tommy Robinson?
Beats me, I have no idea.

Just rolled into town from a visit to New Braunfels for a Godson’s first communion. That once quaint little German town is a metropolis now. Crazy traffic.

Tommy Robinson is the subject of Drudge banner headline
ACTIVIST JAILED IN LONDON
I think Texpat may have posted about this case over the weekend.
-
Yep, Texpat posted, Tedtam responded.
Texpat says:
MAY 27, 2018 AT 6:35 AMWhat the rest of y’all did this weekend? All my “far right” FB friends have been going nuts over this story.

Texpat says:
MAY 27, 2018 AT 6:35 AM EDIT
– The difference [between what Tommy Robinson did and any reporter] is that the BBC and other mainstream media are determined to give as little coverage as possible to the mass Muslim rape of infidel girls.– These same cops arrested Tommy Robinson on Friday not because he did anything wrong, but because he was drawing attention to Muslim crimes that they would rather see ignored – and drawing attention, too, by extension, to their own genuinely criminal failure to defend innocent children from what was essentially jihadist torture.
– Within hours, according to some sources, Robinson was tried and sentenced to thirteen months in prison. Even in Islam-appeasing Britain, this seems inconceivable. It sounds like Soviet or Nazi “justice,” not like British jurisprudence.
This is incredible, even for the failing British system of justice. The prisons in Britain are full of violent Arab criminals and Muslim fanatics. This is probably a death sentence for Robinson.

18 cont’d.
The Robinson story was noted on several large websites in the UK, including Breitbart London, but they all were removed overnight.
Daily Mail seems to be the only one carrying it. But they are characterizing Robinson as a “far right” instigator because he is protesting the police ignoring vast sex crimes against British kids by Arab immigrants.

Roadrunners are not really afraid of people. You can’t catch one, but they are not spooked if you are wondering around in their vicinity. I was mowing the front this morning, and a roadrunner came by carrying a big, fat lizard in his (or her) beak. It then stood there and pounded the lizard onto a rock, smashing it, picking it up, smashing it again, over and over. That lizard was pretty well tenderized by the time roadrunner got through with it. I guess he took it home with him to eat since I didn’t see him gulp it down. There are a pair of roadrunners that I’ve seen living near by, but I don’t know if they have little ones at home or not; nor do I know exactly where home is for them.

#8 SD: This is a pretty good example of one of them.

One of my friends is named Gray Mama.

In Newspeak journalism the right are always far right and the left are always “protesters.”
If Tommy Robinson were an Antifa fascist he’d be labeled a “protester” and not Far Left.
After the “protest” The Court Jester judge would’ve then invited him over for a beer and some fish and chips.

I was trying to find some live coverage of Rolling Thunder today but struck out. It used to get good TV coverage.

(From yesterday)
CFree,
I’ve been looking at those Tecovas boots…. which pops up on my mobile device regulary. They look very nice.
I’ve tried to justify buying some but haven’t been successful. My ancient elephant skin boots are still perfect. I haven’t worn them in forever. The only time I wear them is to a function where I’m doing a lot of standing around. Hard on the back.I’m hoping Sarge wil hand me down a pair of his Croc’s, but he probably has itty bitty feet.

Ohhh! Shots fired!

You tell SQK for me that as much as I miss him, even that won’t get me to exhume my FB account. And that I don’t appreciate his new YouTube video.

I was a bit nervous to buy boots online without ever trying on a pair. Knowing your history, if you had these boots on, they wouldn’t ever come off – too hard to pull off. That’s why I need take them to Humble to a guy I know or possibly to the little bootmaker on main st in Tomball. I had a pair of lace up Ariat ropers that lasted 15 yrs that were always comfortable; until I ruined them one time by wading thru water.

#8 Day-Vid: The ones I have have been stored in an attic for 50+ years. The finish was so dull it was hard to tell they were made of wood. LOTS of elbow grease with 4 ought steel wool helped tremendously, followed by a damp Terry cloth and things started coming together. I used an orange based sealer/finisher and they almost look new.

Also, have seen limited coverage on the Indy 500 (Will Powers) and Coca Cola 600 (Kyle Busch) from yesterday. I’m glad Danica Patrick has retired as I was just never that impressed. I did see that there are still Andretti’s racing in the 500. And Busch’s still dominating the stock cars.

Nothing Ike watching a couple of girlymen get after it.

I don’t know what kind of pestilence Mr. San Saba scattered to the leading edge of this little heat wave that started today, but it made a direct hit on me….My eyes started running, had the first of three sneezes, throat got scratchy, and coughed four times.
-
But I will say that it was really nice once the sun set.
-
So let me get this straight…
I can get a hockey finals on broadcast tv…..but not the 7th game of the NBA semis. In Houston.
Yeah, that makes sense.
-
Did you try the gorilla golf channel?
-
I fried my brain over at the neighborhood pool. A very hot 92 degrees. But I needed to score a slew of pix of the Memorial Day event for the June newsletter. I was almost always under shade, but it was still mind-numbingly hot.

Squawk couldn’t win so he just gave up, but your girlymen assertion will probably get you a decade of personal mockery and humiliation.

The hockey game is actually very good.
Rough men with sticks. -
Having grown up in the frozen wastes of Wisconsin and been around hockey somewhat distantly most of that time, I must confess I don’t know much about the rules of the game. Other than opposing players are not supposed to club each other with hockey sticks deliberately and with malice aforethought, though incidental contact can be deemed accidental. Penalties ensue for deliberate attacks. And there is a penalty box into which offenders are banished for specified lengths of time, meaning one less person on the offender’s team to play against a full cohort on the other team. Seems a penalty box might be a good idea in other sports.
The object is to get the hockey puck into the net to score points via propelling it with the hockey stick either through the air or sliding on the ice. Apparently it can also carom off something/somebody and end up in the net, but a player can’t throw it into the net. The goalie is the only player allowed to use hands to touch the puck.
That’s about the extent of my knowledge of the game other than the spectacle can get quite heated at times with shoving and stealth punching.

We just had a very nice dinner with Handsome Son and Lovely DIL.
With lots of barbecue left over.

Little brothers rule.
Relentlessly. -
Sigh, the Rockets lost.
