Okay, running late, I know…
More hypocrisy by unions. I think this says it all:

Union members can’t even do their own work on the picket line.
And SassyFrasse had a great comment:

OKAY,…….If the UNIONS can hire the HOMELESS to meet their job requirements…..
~ WHY are TAXPAYERS FORCED to subsidize such UNION WORKER for $90 – $300K per annum?????

Let’s don’t and say we did 😉

I second that motion. Familiarity breeds contempt.

We’re all brothers and sisters trying to survive together in this world. That’s all that matters.

#51:

Can someone spell out the relationships/problems that are hinted at here lately?

There are a lot of relationships. . . . Most of them have problems. . . .
The closer the relationship the bigger the problem. (I think Darren and Bob42 are secretly married. . . . ) 😉

I gave up on that long ago. It was all I could do to keep track of who was related to whom and how.

Can someone spell out the relationships/problems that are hinted at here lately? Seems it isn’t all just disagreements over particular issues — maybe some long-term bad blood?
The story about the horse that just collapsed and died is very sad. Many people don’t seem to take very good care of — or care much about — the animals they use.

From that lamp on down the hall.

Although vindication is indeed sweet, the ability to move forward and not allow blogging to consume my daily life has been liberating. It’s all about balance.
The weather is beautiful now, get away from the keyboard once in awhile and enjoy it! God bless!

Well Sarge, you’ve finally come clean about something I’ve known for a long time.

Clearly, you misunderstand the nature of our relationship.
I could give a rosy red rats rump what you’ve known about me, no matter what the time span involved is.

Speaking of dead horses for TT to beat, I went on a hunt in northwest Wyoming several years ago and it was several miles horse ride to the outfitters camp. Just outside the camp, we passed a dead horse laying just beside the trail. I asked the outfitter about it and he said one morning, in the dark, a hunter… Read more »

I was referring to the general attitude of this never-ending, ongoing argument with Sarge. You exhibit a distinct reluctance to see Sarge’s point of view.

That seems to be a problem with some of the folks he hangs out with.
They’ve hung onto it for years—for what reason, I’ll never be able to understand.

It’s no wonder that government has its lips sealed on Deputy Dawg’s accuracy. He isn’t. A recent Chicago Tribune survey of traffic stops by suburban police departments from 2007 to 2009, for example, found that searches turned up contraband in just 44 percent of the cases where police dogs alerted to the presence of narcotics…In stops involving Hispanic drivers, the… Read more »

I see his point of view very clearly. I saw it for years at LST. I’m not some johnny-come-lately to Surge’s profile. He brought up the deficit issue again – not me. I’m just responding – my opinion regarding the alleged “deficit” will not change until/unless the facts change. Just tune in to KSEV and tell me why they’re talking… Read more »

#26. Still having a problem with intellectual honesty, I see.
Still walking – backwards.
You’re an “R” allright Surge – “Reverse”.
Note to Surge – don’t bring me your taxes. Learn something – do them yourself.

Hey Surge, I think I’ve found your kindred spirit. This gal claims Wisconsin has no deficit either. In fact, she says there’s a surplus. What, me worry? Given that Maddow is talking about the upcoming budget that is being negotiated, not the current fiscal biennium as I was talking about, you’re wrong again. Born to be mild… If there is a Hells Angels Motorcycle Club in the state of Iowa, they might be seriously considering a move. Happy president’s day. Here is something you may find interesting Bill White, who had fought in the Pacific while still in his teens and come home an ex-sergeant, had gotten angrier as the day wore on. At two in the afternoon he had harangued the group of veterans in the Essankay, saying: “You call yourselves GIs—you go over there and… Read more »

Texpat, Padma trivia: Lakshmi was brought up as a vegetarian and has admitted that because of this, she sometimes becomes “squeamish” when sampling other cultural delicacies. However, in 2009, she starred in a television advertisement created by Mendelsohn Zien Advertising for the Carl’s Jr. restaurant chain eating a Western Bacon Cheeseburger and in her second cookbook Tangy, Tart, Hot and… Read more »

Speaking of ample backsides, self-appointed food nanny Michelle Obama feasted on some ribs in Vail. Looking at the nutritional info in the recipe, she’s clearly telling the great unwashed, “Do as I say do, not as I do do.”
Must be nice to commandeer a 757 to go skiing for a weekend in Vail in an economy like this.

Iran is going forward with its intention of sending a couple of its warships into the Mediterranean Sea. Whatever their unstated intent (Iran says it’s a ‘training mission’), Israel is right;y concerned over what it views as a provocation. Also left unstated is that Iran really doesn’t have any concern over what P BO may or may not do. He’s… Read more »

In other news, the Winter of Middle Eastern Discontent continues to spread. Big Mo, Colonel Qadafi (Khadafy, Gaddafi, Gadhafi, or whatever) has decamped from Tripoli with his all-female palace guards. Mo Jr. (Little Mo?) warns of civil war. Gadhafi’s son, Seif al-Islam, went on state TV late Sunday night, warning civil war will break out if protests continue, a theme… Read more »

Hey TT, don’t refer to non-union folks as “scabs”.
I’m non-union and proud of it. As far as I’m concerned, unions are one of the most, if not the most, corrupt outfits in the USA. The sooner unions are busted, the better off this country will be.
