The Atchison Topeka & Sante Fe Texas Chief at the station in Temple, Texas
I rode this train at least four times in the early 1960s going to and from church camp in Belton outside of Temple. I always boarded at the Santa Fe yard in Bellville and returned to the old Union Station in downtown Houston. A great old building and the site of great adventure for a young boy.
