I’m on vacation, so it’s already Tuesday for me.

Yo Squawkster – please share anything you may know or have heard about this browser?

Can’t help ya on this Katfish. Not compatible with my Mac. I will fire up my sacrificial lamb later and give it a try though. I do know it is another in a line of Google Chromium/Chrome based browser engines. A quick google search has revealed mixed reviews.

The effort to produce Soylent Green gains steam.

Found out last night that a sister talked to my Dad’s sister about Mom’s condition.
I tried to defuse the probability that Mom will find out…Mom doesn’t have that many gaskets left to blow.
It never ends, does it?
-
So just talking among themselves causes blown gaskets in your family? Are there some things some people are not supposed to know? I can’t even imagine that, Tedtam.

PJMedia has a good ‘un today. Sample quote:
The raging dumpster fire that Iraq has become since we withdrew in 2011 is courtesy of Obama and his much vaunted “soft power” or, even more inaptly, “smart power.”

#7 M42: The way I have expressed the theme in your link is that most people do not have the courage to admit that their long held beliefs are simply wrong. They refuse to see how the landscape has changed and how that change renders their pre-conceived notions to be erroneous.

Sister talked to her aunt, who is Dad’s only remaining sibling. Dad and his sister talk a lot. Mom has a tremendous amount of bitterness and anger towards Dad AND his family. Just the idea that Dad or my aunt is involved even in innocent discussions about anything related to Mom causes her to become really agitated. Odds are, Mom won’t find out that this discussion occurred, but if my lovely aunt talks to a sibling who then talks to Mom and lets slip the conversation occurred, Mom will blow another gasket.
I wish Mom would find a way to get some emotional healing, and when our conversation veers into “Dad” territory, she talks like she does, but then that bitterness creeps into her voice, and the she gets that eyebrow thing going…and she’s angry all over again, like the divorce happened just yesterday. I have one big prayer for Mom, and it’s that she will finally let go of her hurt before she dies. So far, no luck.
Talking amongst siblings isn’t taboo, as long as it doesn’t escalate in someone trying to force Mom to do something. She really loses it when she feels like she’s being forced or manipulated into things…it reminds her of her past relationship.

#10 From your link;
“The owner of a female captive should show compassion towards her, be kind to her, not humiliate her and not assign her work she is unable to perform,” the document reads.
Islamic State militants have attempted to justify their enslavement and rape of women since the group kidnapped thousands of young Yazidi females in Iraq last year. Under the Islamic State’s guidelines, these captured women were dealt with by the organization’s department of “war spoils.”
WTH?!?!?!!

Oh and Mornin’ Gang

Yeah, my reaction, too.
Like dismembering families, forcing them to watch their relatives being killed, and raping them is “compassionate” and “humane”.
Convoluted doesn’t even come close to describing that thought process.

#10 –
However, fighters are not permitted to sell slaves to anyone they believe will mistreat them.
HUH?
How would these barbarians ever even know the meaning of “mistreatment” to claim they prohibit it?????

#3 – Squawk – I also have perused ‘mixed’ reviews (IMHO substantially more positive then negative)
and this gent offers a (again IMHO) pretty fair assessment

Wulp if one of y’all would lend me $10,000 I would get out of the moderator business permanently. The pittance Hammie pays me just barely pays for the Maserati and penthouse downtown. I am not expecting a raise anytime soon. Shameful really.
BioBot 1 is a desktop 3D bioprinter that builds 3D living tissues out of human cells. It is a beautifully designed, precision manufactured robot that prints cells and bioinks, bringing a new dimension to biology.

Katfish
#15I suppose it would not hurt to give it a run. With all these bloatware browsers i am always looking for something better. Firefox IMO has just gone to hell and gotten mucho buggy too. I do not care for Chrome and Safari just sucks.
-
So Squawkie gets $10,000 loan, buys 3D bioprinter, — then what? Will you be printing living tissues? Maybe cultivating steaks and burgers to save cows from the slaughterhouse? Or will the bioprinter robot be taking over the Hambone moderator job? Freeing Squawkie up to enjoy his Maserati and penthouse? Did you say in downtown? Downtown Cut-and-Shoot?

Trucker Destroys Historic Bridge Because She Didn’t Know How Many Pounds Six Tons Was.
Ms. Lambright was aware of the iron bridge stating she had driven on it several times in her personal vehicle and was also aware of the posted signage “no semis, weight limit of 6 tons”. When asked by Paoli Police why she continued through the bridge knowing the weight limit was only 6 tons she admitted to not knowing how many pounds that was. She was advised the weight of the vehicle at the time of the crash was close to 30 tons.

#16: What would I build? Skin, for grafts and transplants. This is a GodSend for burn victims.
Then bio-identical heart valves, kidneys, hearts, pancreases, retinas, corneas, livers, etc.
Imagine being able to engineer bio-identical replacement parts. . . -
I never realized until this week how uniquely brilliant I am to grasp the very difficult concept of keeping right when walking down a busy hallway.
-
#22: Mebbe you are on the wrong ward. . . .

Not only keeping to the right, but also maintaining speed. I hated it when I got caught behind a group of people who were walking 20 mph slower than I.

There should be no further doubt that the current admin despises the fact that Israel exists.

Welp,
I see this as Trump’s internal polling telling him that Christie is a threat in NH.
Which is OK with me. If Trump wins in NH after losing in IA, that’s good news for Cruz b/c the Establishment weenies will be toast.
If Christie wins in NH after Trump loses in IA, that’s good news for Cruz b/c that means that Trump is toast.
And then comes SC. Christie will never win SC, and after two losses in a row, neither will Trump. Cruz comes out of there with two wins.
-
Oh, Darn. I’ve so hoped that Christie could be my president.

Popping back in on today’s OC after being the tag end on yesterday’s this morning.
We’ve been visiting friends in College Station pretty much all day, and it was lovely and sunny there though cold. They had lots of rain from the latest cold blast, a bit over 3″, and happy were those who live on a hill.
-
Oh well. At least we have Donald J Trump to fall back on.
He’s so inspiring.
When I consider all those great presidents that have inspired me since my childhood….
Washington. Jefferson. Adams. Kennedy. Reagan.
That DJ Trump…he’s the man.

More good news.
Marco Rubio is the target of Yeb’s negative campaign commercials.
The strategy here is to blow up Rubio early, even before New Hampshire, so that he limps into that state with lots of doomsaying media buzz around him. If Rubio finishes fourth in Iowa behind Cruz, Trump, and also-ran Ben Carson, the press will be calling him a paper tiger as late deciders in New Hampshire start to decide. In theory, that’s going to tip would-be Rubio voters towards Jeb, who’ll finish strongly in NH and then use the “comeback!” coverage to claim he’s the consensus center-right choice in a three-way race with Trump and Cruz. In practice, I think a lot of disappointed Rubio fans would break for Christie rather than Jeb (especially if Jeb is perceived as having ruined Rubio’s chances), which is why we’ll presumably be seeing some Bushworld attacks on Christie soon too. The only hope Jeb has is to nuke everyone in his lane and force Republicans to choose between him, Trump, and Cruz. He’s laying a simple bet that, when push comes to shove, there are enough “somewhat conservative” voters out there who detest Trump and Cruz that they’ll vote for the most underwhelming Republican in the race to stop them if he’s their only choice. We’ll know that Jeb’s “nuke everyone” strategy is in effect if and when we start seeing anti-Christie ads too.
The schadenfrued.
It is good.
