Men claim to find Nazi train loaded with treasure in Poland.
WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Two men in Poland claim they have found a legendary Nazi train that according to local lore was loaded with gold, gems and valuable art and vanished into a system of secret tunnels as the Germans fled advancing Soviet forces at the end of World War II.
Historians say the existence of the train has never been conclusively proven, but authorities are not passing up this chance at possibly recovering treasures that have sparked the imaginations of local people for decades.
“We believe that a train has been found. We are taking this seriously,” Marika Tokarska, an official in the southwestern Polish district of Walbrzych, told The Associated Press on Thursday.
She said her office has received two letters this month from a law firm representing the men, a Pole and a German who are remaining anonymous, saying they are seeking 10 percent of the value of the train’s contents for revealing its location.
She says that hiring a law firm gives credibility to the two men’s claims, as do indications that they are familiar with the train’s contents.

OK, for the record, no animal rights activist should be “beaten” for merely filming something and no live animal should be used to beat an animal rights activist for merely filming something, but this is funny.

Raining already at Chez Harp. I barely got the kitties fed in time, before the thunder caused the big girl to run hide under the bed.

http://abc13.com/weather/doppler/harris-county/ shows a massive storm in West Houston, moving north very fast. So this may not last very long. Other weather behind it, though.

BATON ROUGE, LA, August 20, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) — Louisiana governor and GOP presidential candidate Bobby Jindal will counter pro-Planned Parenthood protests today with a protest of his own — in the form of a continuous video loop of the seven undercover videos showing illegal abortions and fetal harvesting by Planned Parenthood clinics. – LifeSiteNews.com

Yes, that cloud wall looks pretty nasty from the top of the hill I’m on. -
Illegals are just here doing the things that Americans won’t do.
During questioning by agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Camargo said that he and his brother had crossed illegally on August 14 and were taken to a stash house, where unknown men ordered them to take part in the kidnapping of various illegal immigrants. Carrying various weapons, the gunmen stormed a house in an unknown location and kidnapped about 15 illegal aliens who were taken in three separate cars.

massive storm
really?
You should work for the Weather Channel (they need all the weather doom reporters they can get! 🙂 )
If that’s a massive storm – methinks you’d run completely out of words trying to describe a Tropical Storm or Hurricane!

I guess by “massive”, I mean it rained at my house, it didn’t pass me by.

Interesting post on the Hillary thing. He gives it a couple months before the whole thing really detonates. I guess we’ll see.

I’m just wondering if six or seven federal agencies have swooped down on Platte River and tried to destroy them as they did Catherine Englebrecht and her husband.Probably not.

I think her and Bill are just about equally greasy, but she doesn’t seem to have the “rascally uncle” thing going like Bill did. That likability factor goes against her, but I agree it does seem like if your name is Clinton you can do whatever you want to do. Time will tell.

My #34 had a comment that tickled my fancy…
…only force Conservatives to stay home or write in someone like Tuffy Gessling (my choice, if it unfortunately comes to that) for president.
Yeah, Bush/Gessling 2016! Anyone else remember who Tuffy Gessling is, and what he did?

I think Denninger is a smart guy although I often disagree with him. Here, I completely agree.
Hugh Hewitt noted the other night as long as the Hillary email scandal was just that, a scandal, it would bounce around the media, but once it enters into the hands of the FBI, the whole thing takes on a momentum and legal life of its own she can no longer manipulate as she does the media. His estimate was pretty much the same as Denninger.
-
once it enters into the hands of the FBI, the whole thing takes on a momentum and legal life of its own
Agreed, and it’s what I hope happens. It makes sense:
Nobody from Platte River is likely to do anything that will lead to them being targeted with an indictment, and there’s no reason to believe they did anything wrong at all so they have no motivation to hide anything.
Anyone with inside knowledge of this needs to be acutely aware of their safety. G_d help them.

Filed under interesting but useless information…
Mae Boren Axton co-wrote Heartbreak Hotel and is the mother of Hoyt Axton. Her brother was Lyle Boren, US Representative from Oklahoma and father of the state’s long-time governor and senator, David Boren.
She also introduced Elvis Presley to Colonel Tom Parker.

The vessel cut a low profile as it slipped through international waters, hundreds of miles off the coast of El Salvador in the eastern Pacific Ocean. It was mostly submerged, except for an exhaust pipe and a windowed cockpit that poked a few feet above water. Painted a dull blue-green, the 40-foot semi-submersible pressed on with a silent intent that belied its load: a diesel engine, fuel tanks, navigation equipment, four crew members, and 14,000 pounds of cocaine.
Captain Nathan Moore, commanding officer of US Coast Guard cutter Stratton, could not yet see this mystery vessel from where he stood aboard Stratton, roughly 200 miles south of Puerto Escondido, Mexico, around lunchtime on July 18. He told me the weather and sea conditions were typical of that time of year in the eastern Pacific—hazy, 95 degrees, four to six foot waves, and a light 12-knot wind. But it wasn’t an ordinary day. Moore had reason to believe what he was looking for was the sort of stealthy, bespoke watercraft designed and used primarily by Colombian drug traffickers to move cocaine through the Pacific maritime smuggling corridor to Mexico, where the drugs are offloaded and funneled north into the US, sometimes en route to Europe.

Here you go, Hamous. It’s the camouflage the enemy is wearing now…
AHM: One of the things I love to do, with staff, we do this thing I call “downriver.” Which teaches the staff how the jobs fit together and why they’re all important. Staff members get up on to the table. They play a patient. So when a guy gets on the table and puts his feet in the stirrups, it’s profound. I turn on the suction machine so people can hear what it sounds like. Even though they’re not having an abortion, there’s some stuff that people go through. Sometimes they get a little triggered, and that vulnerable, emotional place is where we want to teach people. This is what we’re doing here. That’s the fun part. I see us being able to do some education for people in the field who are providers who may not get the same kind of education about their jobs that Whole Woman’s provides to the people who work for us. But also have it be a place where literal destigmatization happens. Like, “Can I touch the machine?”
AW: And talking about that. Like, your ignorance about the procedure is a product of stigma. You can actually see that connection. That’s what’s powerful for me. Those shocked faces. This is stigma!
AHM: And this is my whole life’s work of turning lemons into lemonade. I have, as it turns out, a bunch of suction machines I don’t know what to do with. So if they can become used for show and tell? Awesome. I have all these nitrous oxide mixers. Are we going to throw them away? Or I can use them. So that’s part of this space. It’s part of a reclaiming.

I couldn’t read that whole article. I got to the happy question “Hey, can I see my fetus? Can I baptize him?” and the even more happy “Sure, let’s make that happen!” before I had to exit the article before I threw up.
This baby, aka “the fetus”, doesn’t just pop out smiling and thanking his mother for the experience before he heads to Heaven. This baby, aka “the fetus”, is ripped apart either by suction or forceps before exiting the womb. It’s not willing, and it’s not happy. And if a woman feels empowered by this procedure, it speaks more to her selfishness than it does her judgment. If she didn’t want to have a baby, there are ways to avoid it. Rape babies exist, but they are a small proportion of the total fetal homicides committed each year. I’m talking about the recreational sex that occurs, resulting in unwanted babies, aka “specimens”.
You want to baptize those baby parts individually, or just the head? If you can find it.
These bipeds are not human. Not near.

James Harrison has earned my highest respect. I just can’t believe the sissies who run the network even published this on ESPN.
I came home to find out that my boys received two trophies for nothing, participation trophies! While I am very proud of my boys for everything they do and will encourage them till the day I die, these trophies will be given back until they EARN a real trophy. I’m sorry I’m not sorry for believing that everything in life should be earned and I’m not about to raise two boys to be men by making them believe that they are entitled to something just because they tried their best…cause sometimes your best is not enough, and that should drive you to want to do better…not cry and whine until somebody gives you something to shut u up and keep you happy.
Edited to add: This a good one, too.

Why would anyone trust this bunch to keep thier word concerning nukes?
HEADLINE: Iranian Official: We “Reject the Existence of Any Israeli on This Earth”
Hussein Sheikholeslam, a senior adviser to Iran’s Speaker of Parliament, told the Hamas-affiliated newspaper al-Resalah that Tehran “reject[s] the existence of any Israeli on this earth,” a position he says Iran relayed to the P5+1 powers during the nuclear negotiations, The Times of Israel reported Wednesday. According to Sheikholeslam, Iran “will do everything to renew” its support for Hamas, which Tehran lessened in retaliation to the Sunni group’s opposition to the regime of Bashar al-Assad after the outbreak of the Syrian civil war./spits

Just when you think they can’t get any more ghoulish, from the same site.
From the comments:
Who knew aborting a baby could be so much fun? I’ll take a cold one, a taco with salsa, and a fresh D&C, please! Let’s all meet up later to rip apart a fetus for added fun. Where’s the wishbone in this thing?
-
Frankly, as long as abortion-on-demand is legal, I’m glad there are ghouls like this out there. They’re converting a lot of people who consider themselves “pro-choice” to staunch pro-life advocates.
Yeah, I’ll tell you, I’m one of the converted. At one time I would have described myself as “pro-choice” or at least what I thought that meant. While I would still make legal room for the rare instances of rape / incest / mother’s life at stake, the ghoulish behavior of these pro-abortionists has left me no doubt about what they really are. I don’t want these ghouls anywhere near me. Absolutely disgusting.

I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Madison, I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work, Honey, so you won’t kick my azz out of the house.

Fullbright will be playing in La Grange in October at The Bugle Boy, a listening room venue that has been there for ten years. Right up the road for ten years and I was not aware of it.The Bugle Boy is an intimate concert hall housed in a World War II army barracks located in La Grange, Texas. Once doors opened in January of 2005, The Bugle Boy became one of the premier listening rooms in the country. Audiences are instructed not to talk during performances insuring that artists receive the undivided attention of the audience, and in return, the audience gets a live music experience to remember.
The focus is on original, independent singer/songwriters, who perform folk, blues, rock, jazz, swing and everything in between.

Tedtam #13;
Look at this:
Louisiana GOP executive director Jason Doré said Thursday that his name is on a list of accounts released as part of the Ashley Madison cheating website hack because the site was used for “opposition research.”
The director of the statewide Republican Party said via text message that an account was created under his name and his former personal credit card billing address in connection with the work of his law firm, Doré Jeansonne. He declined to say who he was using the account for.
You called it!!! 🙂
