The recent large ship collision on a narrow Vietnamese river brought to mind our narrow local ship channel.
Even the most casual observer of Houston Ship Channel operations has heard of the utterly harrowing “Texas Chicken” maneuver performed by gigantic ships daily on Texas’ most important inland waterway.
This video does a fine job of explaining how it works when ship masters and pilots perform the maneuver successfully.
I am very skeptical that any deal with Zelenskyy has a shelf life beyond the end of this war.
Oh well, it’s another short term win for Orange Man I suppose.

I did watch Watter’s show with the segment on Trump’s ABC interview with Terry Moran. What was ABC thinking and where was Moran’s brain ? There was so many things to ask about and Terry wants to spend the whole night talking about this thug in El Salvador ? He actually starts lying about the MS-13 evidence and Trump pins him into a corner and he looks like an adolescent fool. It was one of the worst MSM performances in history.

I finally got a round to watching the Texas Chicken video and it was very interesting, explaining the physics of the maneuver. While scary to watch it’s actually very safe if done correctly and the correctly timed maneuver makes it hard for the two ships collide.
Though I’m looking out for some better ones, here’s a nice tribute to the late David Horowitz.
