Tell me something I didn’t know:

ICE Whistleblower: I Detained Hundreds of Illegals with Active Voting Cards, They Bragged to Me about Controlling US Elections

But now an Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or “ICE,” whistleblower has come forward, an agent with decades of experience in state and federal law enforcement, to say that he has arrested hundreds of illegal immigrants and they regularly bragged to him that they are voting in state and federal elections.

And, he says, he saw the voting cards they were using to vote, which were being issued by Michigan’s far-left Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.

This whistleblower has been courageous to put this all in a signed and sworn document provided to Rep. Rachelle Smit and her nine-member House Election Integrity Committee. Smit has been planning investigations into a variety of lingering claims of systemic voter fraud from the 2020 election.

****

We were told voter fraud was so rare it was almost nonexistent.

My ever-lovin’ and ample rear end.  Liars, cheats, and thieves, the lot of them.

Dang I hate I missed this. I’d have made a trip over just for that. We’ve drove by that Landmark for 40 years. I guess Katrina did her in.

Jaw-dropping footage shows moment hurricane-damaged Capital One Tower skyscraper implodes in Louisiana.

The abandoned Hertz Tower, which became a symbol of the destruction brought by back-to-back hurricanes in Louisiana in 2020, was finally demolished on Saturday.

Demolition footage from Lake Charles shows the moment the dilapidated, 22-story skyscraper, formerly known as the Capital One Tower, comes crashing down on itself after workers set off a series of explosions inside.

    Oh and Mornin’ Gang

Since I’ve not been keeping up here like I should, I may not have mentioned that my wife has been in California since last Tuesday. Partly to baby sit granddaughters while the Boy and DIL went to a company function in San Fran Sicko late last week and into the weekend. Anywho, wife is loading up to fly to Midland this morning to visit Daughter. She often drops by Midland when heading back this way.

Gotta’ love those crazy Democrats. After years of insider trading by ALL Congress Critters, now the party of Nut-Jobs are very concerned about insider trading and maybe Trump was just manipulating the market so he and Elon Musk could make big bucks….. Nope, you can’t make this up.

Watching PMSNBC, they had a reporter going around and asking folks how the Trump agenda has affected them. Funny, I don’t recall them EVER going to places like grocery stores when Biden’s disastrous economic plan was in full throttle mode.

My west coast daughter went to the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque in the early 2000s so I am familiar with the town. This is a news report about the Democratic governor sending the National Guard
into the city to help the Democratic mayor fight an epidemic of juvenile crime and fentanyl use. Read the following paragraph and tell me if it makes any sense.

New Mexico, which shares a border with Mexico, saw illegal immigration surge under the Biden administration, and the city of Albuquerque has had one of the highest rates of crime in the nation. Though rates decreased in 2024, APD told KRQE news in February that law enforcement made more arrests last year than in 2023 by a 28% increase.

NOTE: The 28% increase in 2024 was all felony arrests.

I have to be somewhere at noon, and I’m actually hungry this morning, so while I take in some breakfast, I’m taking a break from my rosary making (tiger eye “special stash” item this morning) to go look at the C&C.

It’s gonna be another beautiful day. Not a day to be hosting Yankee guests. They’ll want to stay. Have them come in during July or August. They’ll go home sooner and stay there.

    Today’s C&C roundup:

Good morning, C&C, it’s Thursday! The news maelstrom continued whipsawing wildly yesterday. Behold, another astonishing roundup: Trump caps tariffs for compliant countries and stock market balloons in historic half-day rally; China’s ship of industry creaking under tariff pressure; Treasury Secretary declares its Main Street’s turn; tariff plan working at warp speed; Trump ‘pauses’ busy day to sign raft of terrific new executive orders under cover of media market consternation; Biden’s war on water pressure drains to a trickle; censorship official under criminal investigation; Trump calls Biden-era Resistance leader a traitor; Dominion lawyers under the DOJ microscope; triple Supreme Court decisions support Trump agenda and prune judicial overreach; and House Republicans move to halt nationwide injunctions.

  11. Tedtam Avatar

Tariffs and markets: the markets had a big surge yesterday. Trump “truthed” out that it was a great time to buy and I guess folks listened. Or at least were thinking in tandem.

Schiff for Brains and AOC want to investigate Congress critters that did what any savvy investor would do – buy low. I guess smart stock trading is questionable when it favors Orange Man Bad, and not when it’s insider trading within DC.

…are now demanding investigations into insider trading, which in the old days we’d have called an IQ-test fail, since literally the entire world got the same tip. So… What insiders?

Oh, I know what they’ll say: He knew we wouldn’t believe him!!! Sad.

Honestly, I can’t believe Trump has Congressional Democrats dying to talk about insider trading. Bring it.

I think the death penalty should be automatic for anyone convicted of smuggling or selling fentanyl.

Hey, let’s just kill more Americans.

Two bloggers linked to China’s government floated the idea of upping the flow of deadly fentanyl into the U.S. in retaliation to President Trump’s tariffs, CNBC’s Eunice Yoon reported Tuesday.

Both Niu Tanquin and a blogger known as Rabbit Chairman posted messages on Chinese social media suggesting the state was preparing to end cooperation with the U.S. on fentanyl, according to screenshots which Yoon posted to X.

Despite one headline I saw yesterday, tariffs are not “paused,” just lowered to a standard 10%. Except China. China got a pile-on amount of tariff. Because China is just special that way. The baseline 10% is a “reward” for working with our president instead of against him.

The media is reacting in a predictable way. Ten percent? Ten percent?! Pshaw! That is nothing! /eye roll/

It only took two days to get them all in line. It was classic Art of the Deal. Rule No. 10—control costs. Having created urgency to grab the world’s attention, Trump eased off the gas pedal, containing domestic difficulties while hanging onto his leverage.

Mr. C. reviews headlines and believes that China is playing a dangerous economic game. Their economy could tank. From the Wall Street Journal:

Some economists say it will be difficult for Chinese manufacturers to replace U.S. customers. Demand from Chinese households and businesses has been weak. Some other countries have erected their own trade barriers against China, as they worry about a flood of cheap Chinese goods hurting their own domestic industries.

    Cry me a river.

    More C&C:

The social media hot takes were off the charts. Not content with letting the man work, many conservative commenters complained about the unpredictability of Trump’s tariff policy, as though predictability were something they’d suddenly expected from a President who’s been serving up surprises since Day One.

Unpredictability is part of the plan. It’s not a bug. It’s a classic Trumpian feature: confuse the enemy, delight the audience, and keep the headline writers two steps behind. It is working perfectly.

We’re watching a global trade realignment happen at Warp Six. It’s true that trade haggling typically takes months or even years, as twin trading teams and legions of stakeholders behind them dicker over where to dangle every comma.

Trump speed is spinning heads. This isn’t “normal”. Well, get used to “different”. Trump doesn’t operate according to the old norms. And it’s working. It’s also uncomfortable for those folks who are used to being in charge. Or who thought they were.

…. It won’t be smooth. As Dave Sekera, Morningstar’s chief U.S. market strategist told CNBC yesterday, “Trade negotiations have yet to start and once they do, there will be positive and negative headlines as each party positions itself to extract the maximum amount of concessions possible.”

As Trump said on Tuesday, hang on! We’re on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and the speed lever has been pushed up to eleven.

    Among the latest EO’s:

    • One that will make Hubby happy: retraction of the requirement for plumbing fixtures to restrict the amount of water being used. I remember Hubby telling me about how his mentor described how efficient a toilet was. “Five gallons of water pushing that waste all the way to the sewer.” Halving that makes it harder for toilet efficiency.
    • Punishing folks who denied his claims about past election rigging.

Yesterday, President Trump signed three new executive orders, suspending security clearances and requiring the DOJ to investigate two mid-level officials and a law firm. The first official was Christopher Krebs, an infamous offender who briefly ran Biden’s Orwellian censorship agency, the so-called “CISA.”

[Krebs] coordinated with the FBI and Big Tech to build Biden’s industrial-strength censorship complex…

Another guy being targeted: Miles Taylor, formerly of HHS, who publicly crowed about resisting Trump from the inside. “Thwarting the agenda” was his pride. He also anonymously leaked classified discussions. Trump thinks he should be prosecuted for treason. (Frankly, there’s a whole buncha people that should be in that boat.)

Number 3 EO: Susman Godfrey (lawyer) and Dominion Voting Systems. Godfrey represented DVS in the lawsuit against Fox News.

    In the Order’s words:

Susman spearheads efforts to weaponize the American legal system and degrade the quality of American elections. Susman also funds groups that engage in dangerous efforts to undermine the effectiveness of the United States military through the injection of political and radical ideology, and it supports efforts to discriminate on the basis of race.

Susman itself engages in unlawful discrimination on the basis of race.

No more federal contracts, security clearances, or even entrance into federal building (including courthouses). That could restrict their business. Susman vows to fight the order. Good luck.

Most MAGA folks were thrilled, but the glass-half-empty crowd sneered: We want to see Obama in cuffs, not some mid-level flunkies! But like I said at the top—you just can’t please some people.

Look: Everybody knows you dismantle a crime syndicate from the bottom up. It hasn’t even been 100 days yet. We also badly need to discourage any new Resistor types with funny ideas from playing the same games as Krebs and Taylor.

Mr. C. calls it “shock and awe”. I have to agree. Trump’s moves are breathtaking in speed and scope. The media can’t keep up. I think that’s the plan.

And Trump wins in court, too:

Finally, at the risk of cutting into my editing time, I couldn’t leave you without yet more terrific news. The Wall Street Journal ran an Editorial Board piece headlined, “Trump’s Triple Win at the Supreme Court.” The sub-headline added, “The Justices tell lower courts to stay in their proper judicial lane.”

By a thin majority, SCOTUS allowed Trump to continue to deport the gang members, using the Alien Enemies Act. Regarding the tag-along requirement of individual hearings for the targeted deportees, Mr. C.’s interpretation is interesting:

    (1) deportees must seek judicial review in the district courts in which they were arrested. No more judge shopping. Yay!

    (2) individual hearings -> no more class action lawsuits by the left

I hadn’t thought of that. Trump has other legal arrows in his quiver that he can use to remove the bad guys; I’ll sit and wait.

On that “individual” note, that also applies to fired federal workers trying to get their squishy jobs back. SCOTUS said their “group” representatives don’t have standing in the courts to bring legal action.

Instead of running to court, fired federal workers must challenge their terminations individually in the Merit Systems Protection Board. No more class actions.

    ***
Next win: SCOTUS reversed a lower decision and allowed $65M in grants to be stripped for “teacher training”.

…The Court explained that a limited waiver of sovereign immunity does not include lawsuits “to enforce a contractual obligation to pay money.”

Again, the NGO plaintiffs must apply *individually* for relief and access to those funds. Nationwide injunctions can go to heck. That will make it more difficult to fight the OMB in the Oval Office.

  17. Tedtam Avatar
    Tedtam

More on the court issues, but from the House this time: the “No Rogue Rulings Act”. It probably won’t pass the Senate, where we’d need seven defectors to get it passed, and we all know the hive mind won’t allow it.

Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed a bill on party lines barring federal district judges from issuing nationwide injunctions (with certain exceptions in cases where multiple states challenge federal laws).

We definitely need to overcome the expected ramped-up level of cheating in this next election cycle. The Dems are going to be desperate and will pull out all the stops. We need a legitimately conservative majority in the Senate and an increased lead in the House.

In sum, the judicial winds are beginning to shift. It might seem like a painful slog, but in judicial timeframes, things are happening lightning fast.

Enjoy all the terrific news, and those of you with stock portfolios, tally your earnings.

He is a member of the Canons Regular of the Holy Cross of Coimbra. He is known for championing the pre-Vatican II liturgical traditions and practices of the Church, such as the Tridentine Mass, and for protesting certain current policies, including some associated with Pope Francis.
