It Is Raw Hatred and Murder All the Way Down

The unhinged left, fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome and seething hatred for Elon Musk, is trending more violent, according to a new study that finds political violence targeting President Donald Trump and his billionaire adviser is “becoming increasingly normalized.”

The report, produced by the Network of Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) in partnership with Rutgers University’s Social Perception Lab, finds a broader “assassination culture” appears to be “emerging within segments of the U.S. public on the extreme left, with expanding targets now including figures such as Donald Trump.”

and,

These attitudes are not fringe — they reflect an emergent assassination culture, grounded in far-left authoritarianism and increasingly normalized in digital discourse,” states the report, titled, “Assassination Culture: How Burning Teslas and Killing Billionaires Became a Meme Aesthetic for Political Violence.”

and yet it gets worse,

Murder Justification: 31% and 38% of respondents stated it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk and President Trump, respectively. (These effects were largely driven by respondents that self-identified as left of center, with 48% and 55% at least somewhat justifying murder for Elon Musk and President Trump, respectively, indicating significantly higher justification for violence against these figures.)

and worse,

NCRI also found that users are increasingly tying the “memification” of Mangione with calls for political violence against Trump, Musk and others, “reflecting the growing cyber-social presence of assassination culture.” Mangione supporters have been using a meme of the Luigi character from the Super Mario Brothers video game/movie franchise as a symbol of political violence. Some of the threats echo the “Deny, Defend, Depose” mantra inscribed by Mangione on the shell casing that killed Brian Thompson, according to the report.

Noah Rothman at Commentary highlights the BUT RULE

Senator Elizabeth Warren followed the same “but” rule. “Violence is never the answer,” she mused. “But people can only be pushed so far” and will “start to take matters into their own hands” when the political system doesn’t cater to their demands.

“This is not to say that an act of violence is justified,” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez intoned. “But they need to understand that people interpret and feel and experience denied claims as an act of violence against them.”

Senator Chris Murphy wouldn’t condone violence, of course—“but we need to listen to what people are feeling.”

and this annoying hissy-fit in NYC,

The scene became a media sensation. It was covered as though it were the Arab Spring come to America. Occupy Wall Street would be the reason Time magazine named “The Protestor” its Man of the Year for 2011. And possessed of a vague sense that these left-wing protests might restore some of the enthusiasm for the Democratic Party’s governing program lost amid the debate over Obamacare, Barack Obama’s party was quick to endorse Occupy and its aims.

Well the O.C. looks good today, I’ll certainly have to check it out. Dang cold here with 46 showing on the Handy Dandy Weather Station. But we’ll hit 70 by about 3 PM? That said, we did get 2.28″ of rain Sunday night and all day Monday so we’re happy but still need more.

I hate that the Cougars lost and I guess they were in the lead until the very end? From the reports I’d say the best team won?
    Well congratulations Hammie. 😉

A Brief History of the Biloxi Lugger Shrimp Boat.

The shrimp boat that appears on the Biloxi Shrimp Co. logo is a model of fishing vessel that was known as a Biloxi Lugger — a style of shrimp and oyster boat that was perfected by the shipbuilding industry in Biloxi, Mississippi in the late 1800s. The lugger was one of the first “gas powered” fishing boats that came along in the seafood industry. Prior to that, shrimp and oyster fishermen used Catboat and Schooner-type boats which were powered by wind and sails.

The lugger became the fishing boat of choice by the late 1890s. Families with roots in Croatia brought their boat-making knowledge to the city, and both industries thrived on Biloxi’s Back Bay, where Biloxi Shrimp Co. still processes our shrimp to this day. These families blended their wooden boat-building skills with gas-powered engine technology to build the luggers, which were sturdier and more versatile and only had a “three-foot draw.”

A three-foot draw was a big deal back then. It meant that the boats could navigate fairly shallow waters if needed. The use of sailboats with keels prior to that meant that boats were limited to much deeper waters to keep from running aground. The gasoline-powered luggers were powerful enough to drag a funnel-shaped net that was thirty to thirty-five feet long called the otter trawl — a net which was known to be able to capture a lot of shrimp!

Very interesting history. The stories of the Greek families active along all the Gulf of America ports is also fascinating, but reading about Croatians in Biloxi Bay was a surprise.

Do read the above information. Long, yes. But it shocks and is a great education for younger folks who have not lived through the entire times examined above.

Spouse and I have. It explains the gypsies, tramps, and thieves who manufactured such things as they went along. We are graduates of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and were right in the midst of some crackpots there who joined in the insanity. If one wants to be kind to those who were swept up by those who defined the madness and had no clue what happened until it was way too late, we can describe them as psycho-ceramics.

Good day! I stopped to do some software updates and dang! were they slow! Finally able to pop in…I definitely want to RTWDT later. I saw this headline pop up yesterday but was unable to engage the whole article.

Thanks, Texpat, for all you do!

As for the rest of y’all (especially the doctor dependent ones), I included all y’all in my morning prayers.

Now, I’ll toddle off to the C&C to see what’s up…

  11. Tedtam Avatar

    Today’s C&C roundup and review:

Good morning, C&C, it’s Tuesday! Your roundup today includes: markets settling down as trade wars are heating up; two standards for stock markets from same experts; signs of life in the secondary headlines defy experts’ gloomy economic forecasts; European Union quickly signaling signs of surrender but aren’t even close to a good Trump deal yet; Israel completely caves but Trump turns up his nose; China picks the fight, but could be playing right into the President’s hands; global pedophile roundup might be in the works as Florida delivers an international knockout blow to kiddie porn vendors; and Idaho makes history by passing a truly terrific bill that you are going to absolutely love.

  12. Tedtam Avatar
    Tedtam

First, regarding the markets: Mr. C. recently had reason to drive I-75 in Florida, and commented on the plethora of stuff being hauled – an indicator of a thriving economy, compared to the dystopian circumstances during the WLR event.

Soooo….the predictors of economic doom and gloom can just suck it, as my Midwest Magic Cleaning guy would say.

  13. Tedtam Avatar
    Tedtam

Also, on the tariffs/markets situation: the EU has buckled and is offering reciprocal zero tariff markets for industrial goods. Go figger.

It’s a start, but it’s not the kind of offer Trump is likely to find appealing. First, it omits consumer and agricultural goods. Second, the EU is one of those places where they play games with non-tariff trade barriers like VAT taxes and “safety standards.” And third, Trump already rejected a similar offer in his first term.

Soooooo, no backdoor market restrictions is what Trump wants on the table, along with a wider range of goods to be included. I’m glad we have Trump in office now instead of the meat puppet. Trump wants more than equality in the markets, though…no deal, unless the EU wants to close the trade deficit as well as eliminating those pesky barriers to free trade.

Remember? Trump said the Europeans would have to pay restitution.”

Israel has already committed to this, during Netanyahu’s recent visit. China, however, has increased its tariffs to 34%, and Trump is countering with an additional 50%. Trump is also threatening to cancel meetings with the Chinese, which they’ve requested. I’m reminded of sumo wrestlers facing off on the mat. So what is Trump’s game plan, really? (Kind of a dangerous game to play; no one really seems to know.)

To be clear, I don’t know any more about Trump’s real plans than anyone else does. But it seems to me that Trump wants to stymie trade with China. Call it the Russia model. Before the Proxy War, Russia’s economy was over-reliant on foreign investment. Biden’s sanctions made foreign investment impossible, and the unexpected result was a renaissance in Russia’s economy, as Russian billionaires —cut off from their London townhouses and Swiss banks— were forced to invest at home.

Cut off from the West, Russia didn’t wither. It de-globalized and re-nationalized— and it worked. In just two years, Russia rocketed from mid-level doldrums to the top of the world’s wealthiest countries list. Once an ailing, foreign-dependent economy, Russia is now independent, politically stable, economically self-sufficient, and —despite all expert predictions— stronger than ever.

    /snip

You could call this Trump’s Reverse Sanctions Doctrine. I think Trump’s goal might be to intentionally strangle trade with China— not so much to punish them, but to force American manufacturing to grow up and move back home, creating an unexpected Russia-style resurgence and domestic prosperity. Just as Russia’s oligarchs must have done at first, our billionaires are starting to complain bitterly, too.

That makes sense. I personally get the sense that Trump knows his time to achieve his goals is limited, that he’s facing massive resistance from the Deep State (including biased judiciary), and that he’s giving our nation a massive jolt in several different ways. IMO, he’s trying very hard to set up the foundation for a trajectory that will take our nation into more healthy environments: social, economic, and financial. He’ll lay the tracks, and it’s up to the voters to put people into office that will run the trains.

Good news on a bad news story:

The tide may be turning. Yesterday, Tampa Bay-10 ran a troubling but also encouraging story headlined, “‘Faces of evil’: Florida authorities announce arrests in global child abuse ring bust.” Florida’s new Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the international indictments in a deeply disturbing press conference.

Those who abuse kids deserve their own personal corner in Hell.

The ring was organized from Turkey and crossed national boundaries. The real stomach turning phrase:

… “The level and brutality of these images is sickening,” Uthmeier said, shaking his head. Authorities seized millions of horrific videos—including those showing “real, identifiable children in the United States” listed in the National Missing and Exploited Children registry.

Many victims were babies. [emphasis mine]

    /snip

….one officer described the videos as “some of the most egregious, disgusting content” state officials had ever seen.

And yes, some of these kids are thought to be kids trafficked across the border during the meat puppet’s term. With our tax dollars. /throwing up/

I think I agree with this:

The arrested co-conspirators face forty to sixty years in prison. Or, the wood chipper. Either way, but I lean toward chipping.

I can’t say that anyone is beyond repentance, but anyone who would sex traffic *infants* probably is deep in the Devil’s own pocket.

Authorities continue investigating the international connections— linking the ring to Canada, Ireland, and other foreign countries. TikTok was apparently the gateway platform, providing users who paid just $100 access to a dark web portal where the massive library of “dangerous material” was hosted.

While corporate media obsesses over stock charts and tariffs, real evil is being exposed, even though you can only find it in local reports. This isn’t just a crime story— it’s a moment of moral clarity. It is a glimpse into the kind of depravity that flourished and spread while the Biden Administration was busy policing speech and enforcing mask mandates.

…and that “progressives” want to continue. /spits

But all of those folks who paid their C-bills to access this disgusting, vile, evil library of despair…well, I’m sure there are lots of shorts getting soiled right now. All of those digital payments were recorded, after all.

    Go get ’em.

Idaho has taken a step towards freedom: the medical freedom bill

Idaho Governor Brad Little just signed the first law of its kind in the nation— a historic medical freedom bill guaranteeing bodily autonomy for Idahoans.

State Senator Daniel D. Foreman (R) laid it out plainly. “Unless required by federal law, no state, county, or local government entity or official in Idaho shall require any person to receive or use a medical intervention,” he said, adding that “the receipt of government benefits and services may not be predicated on the mandatory receipt or use of a medical intervention.”

Businesses can’t discriminate, either, no matter your medical (read: vaxx or similar mandate) status.

The usual screamers were screaming. The hyperbole was something else. God gave us white blood cells and a functioning immune system (in general), so maybe we should let what God created do what He intended it to do.

If the left hadn’t gotten to bat-wiss crazy in their power grab during the WLR event, this wouldn’t be happening.

See that bed? You made it. Go lay down.

Let’s see what’s next on the MAHA to-do list.

We actually have a Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution prohibiting the confiscation of private property.

In 1933, the U.S. government, under Executive Order 6102,required citizens to surrender their gold coins, bullion, and gold certificates to the Federal Reserve, in exchange for other currency at a set price, effectively ending private gold ownership and suspending the gold standard.

Eminent domain is the government’s power to take private property for public use, requiring “just compensation” to the property owner, as outlined in the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

I am so far ahead of the curve I am lapping people, I caught grief a few years ago about suggesting a Central Bank currency was coming, a cashless society was in the works. Oh people decried how we would never stand for it, bitcoin was a passing fad on and on and on.
    Well
    Sleepwalking Into a Cashless Society

Philip Lane, chief economist of the European Central Bank, recently expressed urgency for the need to develop a digital euro—also known as a central bank digital currency (CBDC)—to compete against stablecoins such as Tether and electronic payment systems developed by U.S. tech firms, such as Google Pay and Apple Pay. Not content with eliminating cash, now the goal of central banks is to eliminate any competing electronic payment system.

We’re sleepwalking into a world with digital currencies without any government coercion whatsoever.

They are one of the prime promoters of globalist ideology and should be the target of defunding by the new administration. Hubby’s watching “Walker, Texas Ranger” again. I don’t know how many times they jump the shark on this show, but the current story line is Walker stepping up to ride a widow maker bull that is part psychopath, part tank.

He gets tossed to the bottom of the chute, in danger of being stomped to death, gets pulled out half unconscious by his friends, and comes to with a desire to get back on the bull. It’s pointed out that he has a broken hand (and it looks nasty, like a bone poking up under the skin and all bruised), but of course Walker says he’s all right and hold my beer, or something to that effect.

Not only does he ride the bull, he rides it for the full 8 seconds and scores very well.

Ummmmm…..nope. The bishops didn’t terminate the contracts, Trump did. The bishops would willingly crawl on their knees over broken glass to restart those contracts and get those billions of dollars again. They tried to spin the story, badly.

Stine pointed out that the bishops are going to come to the church attendees (I won’t say ‘faithful’ – but that’s a whole ‘nuther story) to make up for those losses. Heck, we’re not giving now to their slush funds, and most of us are very happy that they’re financial rug has been pulled out from under them.
