One of the Greatest Cavalry Charges in History in What Is Now Israel
The Lighthorsemen is a 1987 Australian war film about the men of a World War I light horse unit involved in Sinai and Palestine campaign’s 1917 Battle of Beersheba. The film is based on a true story and most of the characters in the film were based on real people.
and,
The British plan the capture of Beersheba. During an attack by Turkish cavalry, Major Richard Meinertzhagen deliberately leaves behind documents that indicate the attack on Beersheba will only be a diversion. The Australians leave for Beersheba with limited water and supplies. They bombard the town and the 4,000 Turkish-German defenders prepare for an assault. However, the German military advisor, Reichert, believes it is a diversionary attack and advises the Turkish commander that he does not need reinforcements. With time running out and water in short supply, British commanders suspect any attack upon Beersheba will probably fail. The Australian commanders ask the British to send in the Australian Light Horse. The British consent to what they think is a suicide mission.
I hope Hartford does a lot of business with the State of Texas. Because they are getting ready to lose it.
It’s against state law.

Buck is reporting at Ace… The Hartford Insurance Company just notified the American Energy Institute that its insurance coverage is being cancelled because it’s the stated policy of The Hartford that it discriminates against carbon-energy advocates. This is in service to The Hartford’s radical Net Zero / DEI agenda. I’m not engaging in hyperbole. The non-renewal notice from The Hartford to the American Energy Institute explicitly stated that, ”The reason for non-renewal is we have learned from your Facebook page that your operations include Trade association involved in promoting social / political causes related to energy production. This is not an acceptable… Read more »
I would say this is unbelievable, but that isn’t true anymore. This man’s supporters murdered over a thousand people this week, hundreds of them were Christians. European Commission says Syria’s “interim president” Al-Sharaa invited to Brussels for “donor conference” on March 17.The EU has allowed, even enabled, the destruction of Christianity in Europe. Think Notre Dame fire, and the burning of hundreds if not thousands of churches across France, the UK, and so on.Now the European globalists in Brussels are showing you who they really are by inviting the Butcher of Damascus, Al-Sharaa, Golani, or whatever his name or haircut… Read more »
And Britain, even after Vance called them out for censorship of free speech, is looking to double down on their laws. Right now: A man was convicted for sending a tweet while drunk referring to dead soldiers. Another was arrested for an anti-police t-shirt. Another was arrested for calling the Irish boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend a “leprechaun.” Yet another was arrested for singing “Kung Fu Fighting.” A teenager was arrested for protesting outside of a Scientology center with a sign calling the religion a “cult.”Last year, Nicholas Brock, 52, was convicted of a thought crime in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The neo-Nazi was given a four-year sentence for what the court… Read more »

If you don’t read C&C, you’re going to miss this remarkable story about Fauci and a new book out by Princeton political scientists. People like infectious disease chief Anthony Fauci were doing the best they could with the information they had. They were following the science. And we got to the other side in better shape than we might have. But if there’s something comforting in this story — even a little triumphant — there’s just one problem: It’s almost completely wrong. In the book’s telling, Fauci and his ilk didn’t follow the science, they betrayed it — pressing for lockdowns even… Read more »
Utah is the first state to ban fluoridated water: Half of Utah already does not fluoridate their public drinking water. Governor Cox said dentists in those counties reported no higher levels of tooth decay than dentists in fluoridated counties. Grocery shelves are flooded with fluoridated toothpaste for anyone who wants it. So why force everyone to drink the chemical, which is not meant to be drunk anyway?Last September, U.S. District Judge Edward Chen issued an 80-page ruling finding that the evidence — based on 72 different studies — supported a conclusion that fluoride was possibly a neurotoxin associated with IQ… Read more »
A 19 year Chinese man has been given the dubious title of being the youngest ever to acquire “early onset Alzheimers”. Early onset, absolutely. The source of the disease has experts baffled. No genetic predisposition, family history, etc. India Today called Alzheimer’s “among the fastest growing neurological disorders in the world.”***The issue is becoming very personal to me. My only aunt just went into long-term memory care. Her husband is experiencing similar symptoms. We are trying to convince Mom to schedule an appointment because of her growing memory problems. But my grandmother —mom’s and my aunt’s mother — lived well… Read more »
On to DOGE news: USAID is toast. 5,200 contracts canceled, only about 1,000 left. Those will be administered under the State Department. Mr. C. makes the point that many of those canceled programs were trying to force a leftist utopia onto other countries. The revocation of those programs is a benefit to those recipient countries in more ways than one. Then, there’s the SBA: In related news, Fox ran a story yesterday with the unlikely headline, “DOGE says $312M in loans were given to children during COVID pandemic.” The Social Security Administration had clients that had long passed their expiration… Read more »
Mr. C. marks today as the last day of sanity before Covid madness took over: I’ve quoted Scottish journalist Charles Mackay’s 1841 book many times. In Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, Mackay famously penned, “Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.”To commemorate the Last Day of Normal Life, I present you with the capstone to five years of madness as today’s first story. The Boston Globe is slowly recovering its senses. It seems that sanity… Read more »
Today’s C&C roundup:
Good morning, C&C, it’s Monday! And it promises to be a very busy day. Today’s roundup includes: pandemic retrospective on the anniversary of the day the Earth changed; far-left media publishes remarkable anti-expert article and new book offers hope for covid accountability; USAID meets inglorious end as vast majority of its projects are permanently shut down; kiddie loans further disgrace federal workforce; record-setting Alzheimer’s case raises bigger questions about expertise; and Utah blazes a new medical freedom trail.
Before the C&C, I noticed last night that the WIP and Malone’s Sunday Strip had been neglected:
The Week in Pictures: Ad-Vance Guard Edition
And here is Dr. Malone’s Sunday Strip.
I took a relaxant last night, so was slow getting going this morning, though I did sleep like a rock and the back wasn’t hurting so much. Did double hang time, got my coffee, made/prayed rosaries, walked two miles, and then Hubby and I had a talk about stuff. I looked at the highly redneck racing videos and sent the bus one to Hubby. He’ll love that.
Now, off to the C&C before I get serious about my day….
I’m not very easy to shock anymore when it comes to Democrats. However, this story is enough to make me nauseous and it is in the New York Post. Bernie Sanders crossed every line of morality and ethical behavior with this evil performance. This is the Democratic Party of 2025.
The actors and stuntmen who rode in The Lighthorsemen were stunning and remarkable horsemen and so was the amazing camera crew. Don’t miss it.
The Trump Organization on Friday sued Capital One bank for allegedly closing hundreds of its accounts in the aftermath of the January 6 riot in 2021. The bank allegedly closed more than 300 of the company’s accounts in June of 2021, months after the riot, even though they had been customers of the bank for decades, according to NBC News. The lawsuit, which was filed in Florida, alleged that the bank’s actions were the result of “political and social motivations.”“[Plaintiffs] have reason to believe that Capital One’s unilateral decision came about as a result of political and social motivations and Capital One’s unsubstantiated, ‘woke’ beliefs… Read more »

When Her Highness was still working as a local high school guidance counselor, one of the problems they had was with older male students. Poor students who had flunked or been passed up the chain, but couldn’t get the credits or pass a basic exit exam were still in the school at 19 or 20 years old. They didn’t care because the school was a huge, captive source for them hitting on younger girls. It was their main reason for coming to school as well as an easy audience for their drug business. There was immense pressure to hand them… Read more »

This is very interesting. Remember that 1974 Impoundment Control Act passed during Watergate supposedly hampering Trump in budget cuts ? That is not the whole story. (bold emphasis in original) Seeking to codify spending cuts pursued by his Department of Government Efficiency, Elon Musk held a closed-door lunch with Republican senators on Wednesday. Musk was said to be “elated” with Sen. Rand Paul’s recommendation to make the cuts stick with a relatively expeditious budget-slashing technique called “rescission.” The approach could guide DOGE cuts around federal judges who consider executive-branch-initiated spending cuts as exceeding constitutional authority. Rescission offers a means by which presidents can… Read more »
Why were Texas government employees still working from home in 2025 ? Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott has ordered all state employees to return to in-person work full-time by the end of the month, the governor’s office confirmed on Friday. The order comes after President Donald Trump instructed all federal employees to return to in-person work earlier this year, and called out those who had failed to do so during his speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday. Abbott’s office said that all state employees will need to work in the office five-days a week, and an email from Texas Workforce Commission… Read more »

In 2020-2021, SBA granted 5,593 loans for $312M to borrowers whose only listed owner was 11 years old or younger at the time of the loan. While it is possible to have business arrangements where this is legal, that is highly unlikely for these 5,593 loans, as they all also used an SSN with the incorrect name. and, In 2020-2021, @SBAgov issued 3,095 loans, including PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) and EIDL (Economic Injury Disaster Loan), for $333M to borrowers over 115 years old who were still marked as alive in the Social Security database. plus, When making the announcement, DOGE… Read more »
