Remember the gigantic lithium battery storage facility on Monterey Bay that burned a couple of weeks ago. The local residents are getting the East Palestine, Ohio treatment from Governor Hairdo, his lackeys and sycophants plus the EPA.

I thought this surely had to be satire when I read it.
David Cassady, 55, a convicted violent rapist serving life behind bars at Phillips State Prison in Georgia, successfully sued the Georgia Department of Corrections last year to receive a taxpayer-funded sex change—a lawsuit supported by Biden’s Justice Department.
It’s not clear whether the sex change will still move forward now that Donald Trump is President, given Trump’s executive order to cease federally funded sex changes for prisoners. Cassady has yet to receive the operation, and his lawsuit is still an open case.
Either way, Cassady is also set to plead guilty to sending a bomb to the DOJ, the same agency that helped him win his sex-change lawsuit against the Georgia DOC. The DOJ notified a federal judge Wednesday that it has struck a plea deal with Cassady. The terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed.

Hard to believe it’s Friday already, this week (past two weeks) have just flown by. Good times….

Today’s roundup includes: Trump’s team faces its first tragedy and performs literally one million times better than Biden’s Administration would have; three lesser-known executive orders begin to hit hard; public schools face patriotic overhaul; trans hospitals grapple with federal de-funding threats; colleges wrestle with barrage of culture war changes; embattled Democrats face another test of will as to lawfare against spending freezes; spending freeze on foreign aid produces unexpected benefits; and the Democrats continue sliding in the polls to historic lows.

Mr. C. discusses the air tragedy. One point he makes right away is the difference in the speed of information release. Under the meat puppet, we’d all still be wondering what happened, and might never get all of the information. With the Trump administration, it’s like a fire hose.
He has a lengthy discussion of failure points in the system, and does not exclude hiring (or non-hiring) practices that contributed to the deaths of so many people. It seems that ATC folks who refused the jab were fired, and that was done without a plan to fill those slots in a timely fashion. Therefore, a highly stressful, intense job that requires completeness in training and near-zero error rates in practice, had a pipeline of newcomers that were not prepared or non-existent. But, the jab was more important.
NOT good times.
Mr. C. has more discussion on incidents of ATCers being drunk on the job. The increase in the number of “incursions,” aka “mistakes” in controlling the flights. Where was the oversight?
And there’s a rumor involving a transgender pilot, but it’s just a rumor. It does seem that the trans folks have been killing a number of folks lately. Mental illness can do that, either directly or by putting stress on the individual. But it’s just a rumor, so I’ll wait and see.

In response, Trump signed another EO basically telling the new Powers That Be over transportation to investigate all of the Biden silliness, fire the incompetent, and just fix things in general.
Biden’s crew fired based on externals like skin color or tattoos. Trump is firing based on the level of (in)competence. I think I like Trump’s method better.
The media is, of course, ignoring that EO. Doesn’t fit the agenda.

Trump is issuing more Executive Orders, all of which are horrifying to the left:

The first order is a 2,400-word beast that cracks down on race, gender, and anti-patriotic educational practices, and is aimed at “ending radical indoctrination in K-12 schooling.” The second, and possibly more influential order in the long term directed a vast swath of federal agencies to find ways to expand access to private school vouchers.
School choice! That’s like sunshine to the media vampires. It didn’t stop with the primary schools, either:
Trump’s various EOs challenge colleges and universities in a wide range of areas like: immigration, DEI, Title IX (protecting women’s sports), gender bending, climate nonsense, and more. In fact, they are still trying to figure out exactly how far it all goes, and wondering when somebody else is going to file a lawsuit.
Trump also issued an order to cut funding to medical facilities assisting with child mutilation procedures. More of this, please:
The hilariously blunt (and accurate) language in Trump’s executive order included triggering words like “maiming,” “sterilizing” and “mutilation.” Haha, it also labeled commonly cited gender guidance from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) as “junk science.” Take that, snowflakes.
I wonder what the atmosphere in the room was like when they were drafting that Order! Was there alcohol involved, or just general hilarity?

Even though a judge halted the spending freeze on domestic funds, foreign aid has not been affected.
It’s been like turning over rocks and finding where all the critters have been hiding. Ukraine, it turns out, was getting a lot more money than I thought they were.
…Trump made the recipients reveal themselves. The truth was buried below layer upon layer of neocon lies and official obfuscation. But Trump’s fearless freeze on opaque federal funding ripped off the masks, and now we’re frantically glancing around the room in horror, wondering what the Dickens have we gotten ourselves into here? And how are we going to get out of this?
The smarter, more politically savvy recipients of USAID are, no doubt, keeping quiet in public, which is why the outcry has been so muted. That, and because our corporate media understands the game. But there are just too many recipients….Many of the smaller grifters simply don’t understand … and so they are telling us where the money was going, despite Biden’s neocon’s relentless efforts to keep us in the dark.
In other words, as the swamp drains, it’s gradually revealing all the bodies hidden beneath the water. Meanwhile, the Democrats still lack a coherent strategy or even a clear leader. Since the deep state must hide itself in order to exist, and since it works through the Democrat party, the party’s disarray disadvantages the deep state.
And the trends keep going the wrong way for the Swamp.
And the Dems learn nothing. Their poll numbers keep dropping and they just get sillier and less relevant.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is actively recruiting workers who suffer “severe intellectual” disabilities, psychiatric problems and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency’s website.
“Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the Federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis in recruitment and hiring,” the FAA’s website states. “They include hearing, vision, missing extremities, partial paralysis, complete paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability and dwarfism.”
The initiative is part of the FAA’s “Diversity and Inclusion” hiring plan, which says “diversity is integral to achieving FAA’s mission of ensuring safe and efficient travel across our nation and beyond.” The FAA’s website shows the agency’s guidelines on diversity hiring were last updated on March 23, 2022.

The back story is that the other day Shannon posted a really good piece about Tulsi Gabbard written by Meghan McCain of all people and although I’m familiar with her I’ve not heard anything about her in quite a while so I looked her up on Wiki and discovered that she is married to Ben Domenech. Now I’ve always been a little Luke-warm about Domenech and even though he talks a pretty good conservative line I still don’t know if he is a Never Trumper. In any case, his stock has gone way down with this new (to me) information.
And about the Never Trumper comment, I have no problem with anyone not liking Trump but I do have a problem with someone lying just because they hate Trump.-

Oh Happy Day !
WASHINGTON — David Sundberg, the assistant director in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office, was notified Thursday that he was going to lose his job and is preparing to leave the bureau, according to two senior law enforcement sources — the latest step in an unprecedented purge of top executives at FBI headquarters as well as leadership in FBI field offices across the country.
Sundberg is the highest-ranking field agent so far to be fired from the FBI.
Sundberg, who joined the FBI in 2002, was put in charge of the Washington Field Office by then-FBI Director Christopher Wray in December 2022. It is one of the highest-profile positions an agent can achieve in the field at the FBI.
Special agents from the Washington Field Office were heavily involved in former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigations of now-President Donald Trump, as well as the sprawling investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol that resulted in criminal charges against hundreds.
