President* Joe Biden has pledged $300 million to rebuild the “sagging infrastructure” of Congresswoman Maxine Waters’ face, in an effort to address the urgent need for repairs and upgrades to the aging and deteriorating features of the outspoken and influential Democrat.
“We are committed to ensuring that the people of America have access to the finest in public officials, and we are proud to announce that this year’s budget will include $300 million to rebuild the sagging infrastructure of Congresswoman Maxine Waters’ face,” said a spokesperson for the White House, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
The announcement has sent shockwaves through the political and cosmetic surgery communities, with many people expressing their excitement and anticipation for the upcoming face-lift.
“This is a brilliant idea,” said one former White House official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “I’ve always thought that Maxine Waters’ face could benefit from a little more support, and what better way to achieve that than by providing her with $300 million in taxpayer-funded cosmetic surgery?”

When we first moved to Texas and tried out chicken-fried steak we went to several restaurants and found what differences there were among the various places’ ways to fix the dish. There certainly are many traditions.
I’ve been trying to tell you people for 25 years that there’s nothing special about a Chicken Fried Steak.
I am quite insulted. Quite devastated. That my own brother accuses me of never having eaten a really fine Chicken Fried Steak. All I’m saying is that it falls way short of being anything special. The worst grilled ribeye I ever ate beats the best Chicken Fried Steak I ever ate. Actually, the best Jack-In-The-Box Super Tacos I ever ate… Read more »

Just to wiss off my beloved fellow Texans and other southerners, I would like to add banana pudding to my list of highly overrated southern foods.
Number one on that list is, of course, Chicken Fried Steak.
The egg pudding is better than I thought it would be. And it’s very smooth, so I don’t have to open my mouth very wide to eat it. Double win for me!
Next time, I think I’m cutting back on the sweetener, though.
Dang.
We lost a firefighter yesterday in a warehouse fire.
This evening we have over 100 firefighters at a burning warehouse in Spring Branch. (Bingle/Hempstead).
SEE YA
I have an untried recipe for a pudding that uses hard boiled eggs and coconut milk. I think I’m going to try that for dinner. I’m certainly not eating steak tonight….
Oh, and I have a delightful story to tell: As I was waiting before my surgery yesterday, I plopped myself into one of the few remaining chairs, with a white woman to my left and a black woman to my right. As I perused the room, I commented on the fact that everyone had a screen in their faces, and… Read more »
RFK Jr just started ‘Policies for the People’ “It is a direct line to Team Trump where Americans can go and propose certain policies that they think would be beneficial to the American people and then Americans get to vote on it: Let me show you how it works: So you go to the website, you sign up for an… Read more »
Youngest son has a buddy working a booth at SEMA in Las Vegas, can’t remember the product. Son was invited to go, meals a hotel covered! They flew in there last night staying thru Saturday. I doubt I would ever go to that show but there is a lot of cool stuff.
The boy and family are having to evacuate because of the Mountain Fire in Ventrua County. It’s to the west of them but the Santa Anna winds have switched and are pushing the fire east toward Moorpark. My wife downloaded the “Watch Duty” App on her phone to get updates on the fire. If you click on the map, I… Read more »
These frat boys are too cute.
The Trump dance is at least easy to do. Anyone can do it.
The Coward of Howard…that will leave a scar. Harris campaign staff quickly packed up, and the downcast crowd — what was remaining of it — disbanded, filing out in a zombie-like state. Distraught rallygoers looked around in utter disbelief, all sporting thousand-yard stares as they searched desperately for guidance on how to proceed from here. The largest black-owned digital publication in the United States, The… Read more »
Once everything goes to live streaming and cable TV is a memory, maybe morons like Joe Scarborough will be driving an Uber car. It’s one thing to be ignorant, but join that with stupidity and arrogance and you have a miserable SOB. “I wanna talk about the economy for a second,” he said. “A few weeks ago, three weeks ago,… Read more »
That newfangled patch that Dr. Lucena was so excited about just came off. I guess the hype wasn’t all that accurate – it was supposed to last at least 3 days.
But I have my palate cover, so I can still drink stuff. Maybe I’ll try the cottage cheese again later, or some scrambled eggs.
I just saw headline that Merchan is considering throwing out Trump’s felony convictions.
I’ll believe it when I see it. Merchan is a self-serving rat. Maybe he’ll do it as a way of saving what little reputation he has left.
And Mr. C. ends up contemplating the future: Trump has the ability to broker peace in Europe and the Middle East. He’s a big thinker, a man of possibilities. Trump’s genius is that he sees possibilities no one else does, and he thinks big. You can trace those skills all the way back to his first real estate projects in New York.… Read more »
Have you ever seen the US federal government have layoffs, furlough employees, fire a bunch of people. Yeah, you hear about some staffer or advisor fired at the White House, but those are the few “at will” employees. It’s always amazed me the feds can boot out unlimited military members, but you can’t fire a single civilian worker unless commit… Read more »
Speaking of lawfare: the rats are abandoning that sinking ship! I couldn’t decide between two headlines since both were terrific. First, Politico ran a story headlined, “Say goodbye to Trump’s legal cases.” And NBC published its version of the same story under the headline, “DOJ moving to wind down Trump criminal cases before he takes office.” It’s another body blow… Read more »
You don’t have to be a member to donate to the Survivors Fund.
And on to the House, and the possible R control: Mr. C. says that Mike Johnson may not be perfect, but he’ll work with and for the incoming president. The implications for a Republican-controlled House are staggering. First, Democrats can forget about another impeachment attempt (insurrectionist!) for at least two years. That gives Vice President Vance time to get into… Read more »
Sven R. Larson at the European Conservative: But Donald Trump is no dictator. He is no tyrant, no Nazi. And Trump is giving RFK his dream job: Kennedy said Trump told him to achieve quantifiable results in two years, by measurably reducing childhood chronic disease. Kennedy is going to need a chainsaw for that, and Trump will give it to him. Next up: concession! The UK Independent ran a story yesterday that bent liberal minds into rotten pretzels, headlined “Harris and Walz family in tears as vice president concedes election loss to Trump.” Get ready for a lot of crying…..The “keep fighting” flub when she was obviously not going to keep fighting was bad enough. But liberals really lost their minds when the not-so-joyful… Read more »

I’m curious whether Biden will attend Trump’s inauguration. Trump refused to attend his and I understand why. I have always considered it the ultimate symbol of peaceful transition though. I really would like to restore that tradition.
I am going to blow my cool. These holier than thou “never Trumpers” (cause he is so mean) can kiss my rosy red ***. If you voted for Trump, take your victory lap, but don’t be a dick about it. We gotta start putting this divisiveness behind us. WE DID NOT START THE FIRE BUNGHOLE. KAMALA AND THE DEMRATS GOT… Read more »
This is a pretty good retrospective on the early Warner Bros. and Loony Tunes cartoon productions. There are some great WWII era video clips. From the wild escapades to the endless violence, these seemingly innocent cartoons carry fan theories that suggest hidden worlds of political satire, wartime trauma, and biting social commentary. So, why did these cartoons resonate with adults… Read more »

The Texas Demographic Center predicts another 4 million moving into the state by 2030. Data is here. Predicts 40 million by the late 2040s.
You would think these states would be embarrassed and feel humiliated.
Texas is vastly larger than either one and yet they are still trying to count votes.
Texas – 99% counted with 30+ million pop.
Arizona – 70% counted with 7.5 million pop.
Pennsylvania – still has 183,000 to count with 13 million pop.
