Betelgeuse has increased in brightness 250% in the last couple of weeks. This info gleaned from the James Webb telescope. It is possible that it may go supernova. The star is approx 650 light years away, so it may have already gone supernova and we just haven’t seen it yet. For a frame of reference: a light year is the distance light travels in a year, that speed is about 186,000 miles per second.

I just made it through a few minutes of the video and can not watch anymore for my own sanity and the safety of others. I know the mindset of these savages if and when the time comes, I will have no choice but to treat them as the cancer on humanity that they are.

Excellent massive government censorship wrap-up report by Victoria Taft:

The censorship mechanisms we now see on a daily basis in our Google searches, wildly one-sided “news” coverage, and the consolidation of speech codes into full-fledged and sometimes violent censorship on campuses across the nation are the outgrowth of U.S. State Department censorship programs enacted in 2016 after a new bubble of worldwide populism erupted. It marked the point when all of the mechanisms the U.S. employed against our enemies were turned on the American people.

Benz told podcaster Shawn Ryan (see video below) that the domestic censorship campaign was constructed when the government censorship crowd decided that free people had chosen poorly with their votes.

The advent of populism really started in 2016 with the events of the Philippines election, the events of Brexit, the events of Donald Trump’s election, followed in short succession by [Jair] Bolsonaro in Brazil, [Matteo] Salvini in Italy, Marine Le Pen’s rise in France, Vox Party’s rise in Spain, AFDs rise in Germany.

Suddenly the people had to be stopped and wrong-think had to be corrected — and the U.S. State Department, CIA, and other alphabet agencies specializing in disinformation were put into the service of changing the minds of the American and other western people.

Benz has been boldly telling the story about this censorship campaign at his Foundation for Freedom. He’s been featured on many right-leaning programs, mainly because the right is currently the victim of the these far-reaching speech attacks. It’s similar to the efforts the FBI made with its COINTELPRO spying and worse on America’s far left in the 1970s.

Kamala Harris is not going to attend the traditional Al Smith Dinner in NYC. The last time a presidential candidate didn’t show up it was Walter Mondale. And then this happened…

    1984 Presidential Election Results

Reagan 525 electoral votes / won 49 states

Mondale 13 electoral votes / won 1 state

    Popular vote – 58.8% to 40.7%

    Today’s C&C roundup:

Good morning, C&C, it’s Monday! And it’s the last full week of September, after which comes October, and then the election. So let’s get to it. Your roundup today includes: Trump gets surprising and encouraging endorsement; Trump confronted with tough vaccine questions and he answers them; CBS’s laughable attempt to debunk Florida’s anti-jab guidance; monkeypox jabs taking the same route as the covid shots, unexpectedly!; Trump attempted assassin Ryan Routh back in court; and space weather intrudes further into Earth weather as climate kooks dig in on ignoring it.

I saw this headline a day or two ago, but a Muslim mayor of an incorporated all-Muslim run city within Detroit boundaries, named Hamtramck, has endorsed Trump:

In 2023, the little town blipped off corporate media’s radar… after the city’s Muslim leaders won several lawsuits challenging its ban of LGBTQ flags from municipal property. (The ban survived because it applied equally to all sexual identity-related flags. That, by the way, is how it is done.)

Michigan is one of this year’s seven key battleground states, which is also surprising. Things have shifted. In 2020, Hamtramck went for Biden five-to-one. But the pandemic, especially its exposure of perverted DEI materials in public schools, and then Biden’s support for Israel, has turned many Muslims’ stomachs against Democrats.

Michigan is a battleground state, and BidenCo. has turned these residents towards Trump. I guess they don’t like transgenders and gays reading to their kids. Go figger.

Sheryl Atkisson interviewed Trump, and asked the one question on the biggest that he’s been flogged with – the jabs:

In her interview, Sharryl asked Trump the question we’d all like to ask: “The Covid vaccines were developed in record time, but as we now know, they don’t prevent infection, illness, or transmission, and they have very potentially serious side effects. Do you think maybe they were approved too fast?”

Trump hedged, said there are studies going on, and we’ll find out after the election.

Next, if you read between the lines just a little, Trump explained why he’s never repudiated the shots, because “The Democrats love it.” He also acknowledged “the Republicans don’t.” Just that much suggested Trump’s complete rationale: He’s courting disaffected Democrats, like the Muslims in Hamtramck.

But in case it wasn’t completely clear, Trump followed up, making it crystal clear. He explained, “I have a friend who said, ‘why don’t you talk about the vaccine, what you did with the vaxx?’ He’s a Democrat, but I’m sure he voted for me.

In other words, Trump is saying he can’t dump the jabs till after the election, not if he wants Democrats like his ‘friend’ to vote for him. But he also assured us that studies are coming that would “determine one way or the other” within “12 months.”

So not denying the jabs is a calculated political decision. Was it Obama who said that “he’d be more flexible after he’s elected”? Trump is playing the same card.

The Mr. C. has the both hilarious and frustrating story about the MSM reporting on health issues in Florida. Y’know, but Florida isn’t kissing their ring. Or butt. Take your pick. It’s gonna be hard to edit this section, as Mr. C. is in fine form here:

Weeks late, CBS finally responded to Florida’s official guidance against the covid shots, with a hilariously ironic op-ed disguised as straight news, and headlined “Florida’s new COVID booster guidance is straight-up misinformation.”

    /snip

Please. Misinformation superspreader CBS and it’s so-called experts, like the long-disgraced Paul Offit, have spread more misinformation than anybody.

The article seethed with Trump Derangement. Ostensibly about Florida’s recent anti-jab guidance, the carried-away reporter managed to drag in Robert Kennedy, Jr., and even somehow the left’s current object of hatred, so-called Project 2025.

How the writer connected Robert Kennedy and Project 2025 to Florida’s jab guidance was a work of Trump Derangement verging on modern art. (Hint: CBS thinks Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo is auditioning for a spot in a Trump Administration.)

Mr. C. finds great knee-slapping hilarity in the claim by CBS that doctors are quiet because of professional retaliation. Pot, meet kettle! At least they are reporting what they know. The postscript to their op ed is that they closed their comments.

    Gee, I wonder why????

Next is the discussion of monkeypox, the vaccine, and the push for the new “vaccine”. The juice isn’t sanitizing, works only short-term, doesn’t….oh, wait a mnute! I’ve heard this song before!

Then there’s this bit at the end:

It is also probably worth mentioning that the symptoms of a monkeypox infection are nearly indistinguishable from the symptoms of an opportunistic shingles infection following covid-19 injections. Just saying.

Lastly, there’s the persistent aurora story – a major solar storm may give us the northern lights for two years. The superstorm is mixing up our upper atmosphere like a kitchen blender. My metaphor, not his.

The article stopped short of suggesting this could affect the weather somehow. I don’t blame them; they simply aren’t allowed to say that.

Just as the aurora are signs in the Heavens that excite eschatologically minded Christians, the lack of curiosity over this totally unprecedented solar development is similarly a sign of how packed this 2024 years is, with its unprecedented signs and record-breaking developments of all kinds.

It really takes a lot these days to rise to the top of mind. Persistent aurorae apparently were not among the winners based on how little coverage this astonishing development received. It’s not just about colors in the sky; what else do these changes mean?

Maybe we should interpret the colorful sky paintings as a blessing on the Earth, and a sign that things will be looking up. Try it today and see if that feels right to you. I think you might agree.

I was going to brave some moderately paced walking today, but I took a spill in the parking lot at church on Sunday. I was straightening out my veil and not looking for that large crack that caught my shoe. I remember as I was going down that I was going to twist my knee badly, and made some instinctive changes to leg trajectory on my way down.

Knee is fine, surprisingly, but the quads on both legs are pretty sore today.

I guess the walking can wait until tomorrow. Don’t want to risk pulling a muscle on top of the mouth drama. Good news is, I’m already taking pain killers and anti-inflammatory meds, so it shouldn’t be too bad.

Byrna is producing 12 gauge less-than-lethal shotgun shells that can be used in some shotguns:

    https://byrna.com/products/less-lethal-12-gauge-round-10ct

The 12 gauge rounds work with standard cylinder bore and improved choke shotguns only.

Many shotguns are fitted with adjustable choke systems such as interchangeable choke tubes that allow you to change the choke to suit your needs. Please ensure that you are using the correct size choke tubes.

If your shotgun does not have an adjustable system, it should have the choke size engraved on the barrel.

The 12 gauge rounds should not be used in shotguns with chambers longer than 3 inches. 2.5″ through 3″ chambers are ok. Chamber length is normally engraved onto the barrel as well.

If you are unsure of the choke size or chamber length of your shotgun, please reach out to the manufacturer of the shotgun for assistance.

The 12 gauge rounds were designed to work in a pump action or single shot shotgun and will not cycle a semi automatic shotgun as they do not contain gunpowder. They can be manually cycled and fired through most semi auto shotguns.

My Beloved East Texas (very liberal) Aunt just called – her last child, brother to Green Cousin, has been diagnosed with throat cancer. Testing this week, surgery next week. He’s had a sore throat for a long time, and his mother finally talked him into getting it looked at. He’s at the VA hospital, angry at the world. Visiting right now would not be a good thing, from her description. They’ve taken away his vices on top of giving him the news.

I told her that when they come back next week for surgery, I want to take her out to eat. This week would be a problem because…oral surgery. But she’s supposed to call me if she needs anything. Anything at all.

This is her last remaining child. No parent should have to bury one of their children, much less both of them. Given her precarious health situation, I worry about her as well. The stress of watching her son go through cancer treatment would be hard enough, but if he doesn’t beat this….

    Something I’ve always said: I’m largely pro-choice…

    • You can choose IF you want to date
    • You can choose If you want to sleep with someone
    • You can choose WHO you want to have sex with
    • You can choose if you use protection (even though my Catholic morals balk)
    • You can choose what to do with the care of your own body,

    BUT

    • Once you conceive, you are now responsible for a separate life within you.
    • It is not a parasite /skin crawling/ it is a developing human being, that YOUR choices made a reality.
    • If it is your body, then what part of of YOUR body is missing when the abortion is over?

Make your choices before you involve a third party. And the Dad has rights, too. Unless he’s a pedophile or some such.

In 1977, there was huge, contentious Longshoremen’s strike looming, but it hadn’t started yet. The goons running the Sea-Land yard at the Port of Houston decided they were going to shut down the place days ahead of the strike.

Our truck driver went down there to pick up one of about 15 40′ containers we had in the yard and the Longshoremen wouldn’t open the gate. When he got back to our office, my boss, the owner of the company grabbed his 44 magnum revolver and shotgun, got in the Kenworth and drove to the Sea-Land gate. When he picked up the big wheel gun and started loading the cylinder, they opened the gate and kept it open all night long as we went back and forth pulling all 15 containers out before the strike.
