The Stanzel Boys Could Fly – Friday O.C.

Two Depression era brothers decided they wanted an alternative to a life on the farm staring at the rear end of a mule and a plow.

True Texas business pioneers, they founded an entire industry. At their zenith, they employed 125 people in tiny Schulenburg, Texas. From boyhood, Victor Stanzel became a self-taught aeronautical engineer. His brother Joe could build anything that Victor dreamed up.

My friends, the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum should be on your Bucket List of Two-Day Trips.

Highly Recommended.

Why two days? Because it is on the way to Goliad and you know damn good and well that it’s been way too long since you visited that hallowed ground and paid your proper respects.

Do check out this page on the Museum website.

The video below barely scratches the surface of the history of the interesting innovations and products these men produced. They even dabbled in amusement park rides for a while.

Waking up at 4am for no reason at all is becoming an unwelcome habit.

This is just a bit of insight as to how far as a nation we have fallen down the sewer of evil.

The Most Evil Man In Evangelicalism, And Those Who Platformed Him

“Of all the passions, the passion for the Inner Ring is most skillful in making a man who is not yet a very bad man do very bad things.” -CS Lewis

Like all demons, he was obsessed with children. Shedding their blood was preferable. Failing that, he could always cut them up, scalp them, sexualize them, incite them to a sexual frenzy, or castrate them. The possibilities were endless, and exciting. Demonic appetite never ceases, and Mephistopheles was hungry.

    /snip

A year after taking the helm of NIH, Collins reportedly believed that “it is not possible scientifically to settle precisely when life begins.” In fact, before taking over NIH, Collins had already praised eugenic abortions ( when one prenatally tests the baby to see if they’re “fit” or “unfit” and disposes of them if they aren’t up to scruff) as something people “in our current society… are in a circumstance of being able to take advantage of” and something “we have decided as a society… needs to be defended.” And shortly after his confirmation at NIH, Collins said that establishing a new human embryonic stem cell registry was one of his high priorities. If Collins was indeed Mephistopheles’ vessel, the demon wasted no time in devouring his favorite kind of child: very small ones. After all, there are no embryonic stem cells without dead babies.

    Do read the whole thing.

I deeply dislike having to use my phone for internet use. First of all, you can’t clearly see anything on a tiny screen. Critical details are often lost.

Second, online content is not “what you see is what you get”.

Third, I have big hands and fingers and osteoarthritis in every joint, including my wrists. Texting brief messages is difficult enough.

Elon has shut down the advertising cartel. His lawsuit has already borne fruit. That was fast….I wonder what they were hiding? Obviously, GARM a scared of discovery.

They may have disbanded, but does that mean the suit goes away? I think not as Musk has already suffered provable damages as a direct result of their tortious interference. Discovery needs to happen and people need to go to prison for their malfeasance.

I have to go pick up my presurgery antibiotics. While I’m there, I’m shopping for a new tv antenna.

Odd that when the cable folks finished working on their lines that our antenna quit working. The TV seemsto be working, as far as I can tell.

Then I’m going to have a healthy meal. I’m not going to want to eat tonight. I talked with my dentist yesterday, and today’s with will not involve the feared palate tissue graft. Just more implants and extraction of a baby tooth, and I think another bone graft. The big one. This spot may need two of them. Seriously, that missing bone has an X-ray shadow that looks like Mt. Everest.

If you want to understand Elon Musk’s lawsuit against the cabal of advertisers, then you need to read and study this report. The major corporations provide the funding, but the real dirty work is being done by 4 of the 6 largest advertising companies in the world. They get paid to attempt to bankrupt all the news websites and platforms the Left hates and they are using you tax dollars to do it.

    Foundation for Freedom Online:

The federal government is sending billions of dollars of U.S. taxpayer money to four of the big six global advertising agencies, which include some of the leading architects of online censorship.

These multinational corporations have spent much of the last decade demanding online censorship of “hate speech,” “disinformation,” and “harmful content” on social media platforms, all while being paid by U.S. taxpayers, who overwhelmingly support free speech.

Since 2019, the industry has sought to pressure social media companies through the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), a project of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), a body that account for roughly 90 percent of all ad spending worldwide.

Mr. Childers discussed this lawsuit… Yesterday? I’ll be interested to read his take on these current events.

  14. Texpat Avatar
    Texpat

The most stupid aspect of this massive international censorship project is that the companies and their agencies are deliberately not advertising their products and services to at least half the population. They have decided the politicization of their businesses is more important than maximizing their sales. It is insane.

    WE ARE MOVING

    READ THIS
    https://hamous.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/SHORPY-32333u.jpg
    Pack up all your dishes
Make note of all good wishes
And say goodbye to the landlord for me
That son of a witch has always bored me

    Throw out them Bluehost papers
And that mouldy box of vanilla wafers
    Adios to all this concrete
Gonna get me some dirt road back streets

I have used Bluehost for a lot of years for a lot of blogs and gotten great services (back then). However, it has come to my attention that Bluehost has combined with a service called Sitelock. Sitelock is a service that locks the site from being stolen, we have it because it is basically a necessary protection app and there is a modest yearly cost but bearable. Well I have seen indications of some disturbing activity from Sitelock on our backend.

In due diligence I started asking questions. In my research I have found that activity usually leads to high pressure sales pitches to upgrade to a very expensive bluehost/sitelock service. I have read reports from other blogs that report they got shut down by Bluehost till a “discovered” infection in the blog is cleaned out that (imagine this) only they can clean out.

We are nearing topping out our storage limit. I can increase the limit but at a substantial cost. To get around this I would need to delete much of our image library. On the surface that is not a bad thing but what if want to keep all that? Well ya gotta consider the database.

How the database works is it is like the a CD. When you have little info on it things run quickly but as you add data AKA webpages and images, things slow down cause the data base needs time to search through things. We have a service that speeds that process up but soon enough i would need to upgrade………… or delete.

As I promised when I rebuilt the blog it runs fine. The theme is still functional, secure and as fast as can be reasonably expected for what we pay for. AGAIN I do not mind paying for services and funding the blog but there Bluehost has gotten to big for our britches. There are plenty of quality value added providers out there and I am going to move us to a new server. We still have 6 months till this subscription expires. That gives me time to find a new home and get us moved without service interruption.

So I am going to nip this problem in the butt.

    1. I am going to download a back up to my computer that includes all data and images
    2. Texpat is going to get a thumb drive with that back up and i will have one too.
    3. Go through the pictures and remove a bunch of fodder and keep what is important and germane to the blog posts.
    4. Improve search function
    5. I am going to find us a new hosting site
    6. Make several back end upgrades before moving
    7. Move it about January.

The passenger steamer SS Warrimoo was quietly knifing its way through the waters of the mid-Pacific on its way from Vancouver to Australia. The navigator had just finished working out a star fix and brought Captain John DS. Phillips, the result. The Warrimoo’s position was LAT 0º 31’ N and LONG 179 30’ W. The date was 31 December 1899.
“Know what this means?” First Mate Payton broke in, “We’re only a few miles from the intersection of the Equator and the International Date Line”. Captain Phillips was prankish enough to take full advantage of the opportunity for achieving the navigational freak of a lifetime.
He called his navigators to the bridge to check & double check the ship’s position. He changed course slightly so as to bear directly on his mark. Then he adjusted the engine speed.
The calm weather & clear night worked in his favor. At mid-night the SS Warrimoo lay on the Equator at exactly the point where it crossed the International Date Line. The consequences of this bizarre position were many:
The bow of the ship was in the Southern Hemisphere & in the middle of summer.
The stern was in the Northern Hemisphere & in the middle of winter.
The date in the aft part of the ship was December 31, 1899.
The date in the forward part of the ship was January 1, 1900.
The ship was therefore concurrently in:
    two different days,
    two different months,
    two different years,
    two different seasons
    and in two different centuries.

The need to cheat is off the charts and the Ds will respond accordingly. The big question is when they are caught in the act, what will happen then? Will a prosecutor actually charge them, will a judge actually allow the case to proceed, will the fraudulent votes be counted?

Done with today’s dental adventure. I misunderstood the scope of today’s work. No bone graft, but I did get one implant in the first bone graft. The over the teeth surgical guide for the drilling didn’t fit, because my teeth have enough room to be nomadic and something shifted since the cast was taken. When Dr. Austen said he could free drill the site, I was concerned, but he was good to his word. In fact, the placement went so well that we were able to do step two of the procedure instead of waiting months. I have a healing abutment in place instead of a stitched up surgical site.

Them he removed the Maryland bridge that’s I’ve had for over 30 years, the one that wasn’t supposed to last that long. Next up was extracting the failing baby tooth that it had been hanging onto. Dr. Austen said it should be easy since the roots were so small that they were barely there. I warned him that past baby tooth extractions resulted in the tooth breaking off at the gum line. He thanked me for the warning and sure enough, it broke off. He acted surprised after that and said, “Oh. That we easy!” The roots were so small and so shallow that they just fell out in his hand.

So now I’m home, and I’ve ice packed my face for the last few hours. Hubby figured out how to get the antenna working and I hooked up my DVD player, so I can lay here and watch TV.

My hand signals at the dentist came in handy today, especially when both top and bottom jaws were numb and my mouth was full of sharp pointy things.

I like Dr. Austen. He’s confident but not cocky, and he can do what he says he can do. And he has a great bedside manner.
