Cheatle, 53, is the second woman to lead the presidential protection agency and secured the non-Senate-confirmed role in August 2022 after a three-year stint as senior director of global security at PepsiCo.
Before that, she had served 27 years in the Secret Service, beginning in the Clinton administration.
Four sources close to President Biden’s family, including people who interacted with Cheatle during the Obama-Biden administration, said she was well liked by the future first lady and her most senior aides, including top adviser Anthony Bernal.
“Cheatle served on Dr. Biden’s second lady detail and Anthony pushed for her,” a Democratic insider told The Post. “Anthony has no national security or law enforcement experience. He should have no influence over the selection of the USSS director.”

I’m still disgusted with Tucker, but that speech was very good and confirms about DC things I have long believed.

Apropos of the Star Wars bar, ‘The View’s’ Anna Navarro could only point out that the shooting in Butler wasn’t carried out by a drag queen, an immigrant, or a “pissed off liberal woman,” but, as she described him, a “20-year-old lone wolf white wack job with easy access to a gun.” Her solution: we have to have…a conversation about that.
Translation: we need to regulate guns much more strictly.
That’s when the always-reliable Joy Behar chimed in. She’s appalled — absolutely appalled — to learn that adults have such easy access to ammunition.
“Okay, I just want to add that the shooter was a 20-year-old kitchen worker from nearby Bethel Park in Pennsylvania. According to a CNN report, a senior law enforcement official said that he bought 50 rounds from a local gun store hours before the rally.
Shouldn’t that have been reported? Somebody buys…a 20-year-old white guy? I mean we’ve seen that many times now. Young white men with guns and nobody reported that he bought 50 rounds of ammunition?”
Strap yourself in. The post assassination attempt week is just beginning and the RNC doesn’t get under way until today, so there’s much more to come.
-
My wife records the View so she can occasionally she what the evil old harpies are discussing and she told me about Behar’s remarks about 50 rounds of ammo. She (my wife) couldn’t believe it. The idiots don’t know rifle ammo comes in 20 or 50 round boxes?! Do they think someone buys one round or 7-30 Rds to fill their magazine. Wife also said that they’d have a heart attack looking n my office area. 😉
Oh and what would they think of the 400, 500, 800 and 1000 round ammo boxes?

Don Surber:
First Jesus saves him from assassination at a rally on Saturday. Then Judge Cannon saved President Trump from the outrageous Mar-a-Lago raid and prosecution on Monday. His political fortune rose, as Democrats have given up on replacing the Guy Who Can’t Draw a Clock. On top of that, his financial fortunes rose too.
The Hartford Courant reported, “Trump Media shares surge on 1st day of trading after assassination attempt on the former president.”
The price rose 31% on Monday. He owns 78.8 million shares, which means he made $763 million as the stock closed above $40 a share.
On top of that, MSNBC kept their Morning Joe off the air on Monday for fear he would continue his ranting about how Trump is like Hitler. But I am giving my readers cuppas of Joe in the form of liberal tears today.
Where to begin? The witch hunt.

We finally got some rain last night .39″ and we’ll take it. This after I watered all day. 😉

Apropos of the Star Wars bar, ‘The View’s’ Anna Navarro……
That’s funny right there I don’t care who you are. 😀

I’m planning on returning home today since I have a dental appointment tomorrow. Waiting until later to leave. Hubby’s doesn’t want me returning home until after 2 p.m. because of the generator cool down schedule. Hoping to have power on before I get home so that won’t be an issue.
Hubby’s says that Handsome Son had a lineman behind his house but they were waiting for a part; we’re hoping that Handsome has power today. At least one of us may be able to sleep there if necessary.

“Cause Chevy didn’t make a 327 in ’55, the 327 didn’t come out till ’62. And it wasn’t offered in the Bel Air with a four-barrel carb till ’64. However, in 1964, the correct ignition timing would be four degrees before top-dead-center.” Mona Lisa Vito

On a happier note, I’m proving to be quite a distraction to Little Prince. I popped into view during his first bottle of the day, and he released his bottle to reach out to me and give me a huge smile. I had to leave so he could finished eating.
I hope he remembers me as fondly when I see him next .

Since I have some time before I pack, I have time for the C&C:
Good morning, C&C, it’s Tuesday! The news was popping yesterday, even louder than CNN’s reports of sounds from Saturday’s Trump rally. Yesterday was yet another historic day packed with good news. In this morning’s roundup: ‘Doctor’ Karen Pinder back in the news as her school digs into the troubled recesses of her overheating brain; FBI’s stupid “lone gunman” theory already unraveling as local cops leak, witnesses report possible second shooter, and Congressional investigation takes off; Trump names Vice President J.D. Vance early and I attempt to add some context not covered in one million mainstream stories; Trump attends RNC first day; and tremendous Trump win as his Mar-a-Lago Raid case is dismissed.
-
Mr. Childers nails. It.
So the left’s barely muted glee at Saturday’s shooting ironically betrays the lie inherent in their overwrought public fretting about “destroying democracy.” They don’t really care about democracy. Just power.
Nor do they care about truth. They twist the truth so much in pursuit of power that Truth can kiss itself on its own butt.
Several times.
-
Mr. C. dissects the shooting a bit more: Why were the local snipers inside the building instead of outside, or on top of the building where the shooter took his shots? The cops saw the shooter several times as he was prepping, supposedly called it in – why no response?
He’s suspicious of the already determined analysis of TPTB: That the shooter operated alone and the case is closed.
Whatever reason. Another unconfirmed wrinkle developed yesterday on social media, with no mention in any of the confirmed reporting. They could just be confused by the fog of war, but at least two witnesses interviewed by local reporters claimed there was a second shooter on the water tower.
He has a diagram with the shooting angles.
Finally, the New York Post interviewed a trained Canadian sniper who holds the current record for the longest kill. I was especially gratified that a professional, military-trained sniper agreed with C&C’s assessment: it seems unlikely unemployed drifter Crooks could possibly have planned and executed the sophisticated operation without some help, regardless of what the FBI says:
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas — who oversees the Secret Service — conceded on “Good Morning America” yesterday that “a direct line of sight like that to the former president” should never have been possible. “That’s why President Biden directed an independent review of the incident,” Mayorkas quipped. By “independent,” the impeached Secretary meant a totally controlled internal FBI whitewash by the same field office that “debunked” the Hunter Biden laptop.
I’m now running out of eye roll.

Further down the column, after discussing Vance’s VP assignment, history, etc., Mr. C. delves into his personal professional forte: law.
As I predicted, following Justice Thomas’ exhaustive concurrence in the Presidential Immunity decision, first thing yesterday morning, Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Classified Documents Raid case. The BBC reported the story headlined, “Judge dismisses Trump documents case over special counsel appointment.” This case was the left’s last, best hope to nail the former President somehow.
Closely hewing to Justice Thomas’s logic, Judge Cannon wrote that “Special Counsel Smith’s appointment violates the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution.” Boom. The Justice Department will surely appeal this dismissal to the 11th Circuit. But in doing, the DOJ must fly in the face of Justice Thomas’ concurring opinion, in which the Supreme Court Justice laid out in painstaking detail exactly why Special Prosecutor Jack Smith’s appointment was unconstitutional.
Thomas’s concurring opinion is not binding precedent. But it is what lawyers call “persuasive precedent.” Persuasive precedent from the Supreme Court is supremely persuasive to lower courts. To reverse Judge Cannon’s dismissal, the 11th Circuit must reject not only Judge Cannon’s rationale, but also Justice Thomas’ logic. I wouldn’t rule anything out at this point, but the DOJ has to dig itself out of a Thomas-sized hole.
Appeals to the 11th Circuit initially draw a three-judge panel. But after that, the losing party can request review by the entire 12-judge court. From there, the case could return to the Supreme Court, which can take the case or not. And, thanks to Justice Thomas’s special concurrence, everybody already knows how at least one influential Supreme Court Justice would rule.
All that inside baseball may not even matter at all, because this case will now be tied up in multiple levels of appeal for the foreseeable future. For purposes of the 2024 election, the hopes of “Get Trump” liberals everywhere are demolished, cooked geese, done, finito. It’s over.
I’d forgotten about Thomas’ nudge towards this outcome. That’s going to be a hill to overcome. And hopefully for the left to die on. Legally that is. I’m not advocating bullets flying, cars suddenly careening down the street, or strange substances being introduced into their food supply.
I’m not a lib.

I’ve never believed a presidential candidate should make vote-getting the first qualification for VP. If it happens it’s icing on the cake. Here is polling guru Sean Trende at Real Clear Politics.
Nor does Vance really add anything on the second point. Kim Reynolds of Iowa might have helped to flip Minnesota or Wisconsin. Rubio probably would have put away Arizona and Nevada and potentially put New Mexico fully in play. Youngkin could have made Virginia fully into a swing state.
Instead, Vance hails from a state that’s already firmly in the Republican coalition. His performance in the state has been underwhelming, to say the least. Consider his run in 2022 compared to the rest of the statewide Republican ticket. Mike DeWine won the governorship by 25 percentage points. Dave Yost won the attorney general race by 20 points. Keith Faber (auditor) won by 18. Frank LaRose (secretary of state) won by 21. Robert Sprague (treasurer) won by 18. The GOP Supreme Court justices won by between 12 and 18 points.
J.D. Vance won his Senate seat by six points. It’s unclear, then, how he might help Trump carry Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, or Michigan.

Morning Joe team threatens to quit if ever yanked from the air again.
I can dream, but it won’t happen. Their egos won’t let them.
-
Canning those 2 spawns of satan is probably the only way to boost ratings.
-
BAWHAHAHAHAHA! Got their knickers in a wringerhuh? 😀
FWIW; I saw this live because I wanted to see if the network let them back on air after only one day. I was surprised that they did, I figured that take them off for a week or so to let things settle down but lawyers may have got involved.Oh and it makes me laugh that they pretend to NOT know why they were taken down.

Likely of interest to only me, the Matriarch of DiFlippo’s Pizza here in Podunk has passed away.
Margaret Ann DiFilippo April 3, 1039 – July 2, 2024.
Mrs. DiFilippo was born April 3, 1930, in Russellville, Kentucky to the late Russell and Mattie Tapp. Along with her husband, Jim, Mrs. DiFilippo entered the restaurant business managing Pizza on Call locations at Fort Benning, Fort Rucker, and Keesler Air Force Base. In 1968, they opened DiFilippo’s Pizza Pub in Ozark where it continues to operate today.
I’ve mentioned before that we are blessed to have a fine authentic Pizza place here in Podunk and they might not have the best Pizza that I’ve ever had but it’s certainly the top 10, no, I’d say 5.

Once you eat really top shelf New Jersey pizza, it ruins you for all the other pizza in the US. Even the honest New Yorkers will admit Jersey has the best pizza pies.

Might as well have an Idiot of the Day Award.
A University of Virginia professor denied the legitimacy of the attempted assassination of former president Donald Trump, posting to X that the Saturday shooting was “staged theatrics” performed by Secret Service to garner “idiots’ vote”.
In a quote-tweet by University of Virginia Assistant Professor Sethunya Mokoko, he said that Trump’s secret service purposefully “ignored” eyewitnesses who allegedly informed police of an armed man on a roof before the shooting took place.
”ignored him because trump & secrete service staged theatrics to win idiots’ vote,” Mokoko wrote.

So I was asked why a 68 year old man would want to grow his hair and beard like I have mine.
Am I hippie?…..NO
Am I a mountain man type person?….. Uhhh no.
God tell me to? NO No and no
Rebelling because of the military?…… you are kidding right?
Rebelling against my parents? Oh c’mon I am coming up on 69 years of age.
SO WHY?
Cause I have seen me with my head shaved and I hate it.
Now ya happy that the mystery has been solved?
BTW I rock a Speedo with my hair and beard. -

And she deserves it. Video in the link.

I heard a few seconds of her ‘performance’ and she rivals Yoko Ono as a singer.

My antenna guy came back with his man lift and performed repairs. He’s a young guy just starting out.
This time he brought his partner who put him into business. Very interesting guy. He owns eight Houston tv channels. He was pretty disappointed that I can’t get Channel 21 out here. It’s free NewsMax! He leases the channels on a monthly basis to various outfits, Vietnamese, Latino, etc.
He says that ten years ago the Free Over The Air TV captured about ten percent of the available viewers in the Houston area. It is now over 30% and growing at least 4% a year. -
Re: My antenna.
Three of those long arms and one short arm had been folded in by the storms. After unfolding those arms, I went from 20 channels back to 80.
He said Channel 11 is on one of the shorter of the giant transmitters over there in Stafford, TX.
I asked him why my reception suffers sometimes on the clearest days. High Barometric Pressure is the culprit.

I don’t really know who this guy is except that he’s famous and young people like him.
Jack Black has been forced to cancel Tenacious D’s tour after backlash over bandmate’s Kyle Gass’ ‘evil’ Trump joke, with both making public apologies.
On Sunday evening in Sydney, just a day after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, Tenacious D made a very controversial joke.
It was bandmate Kyle Gass’ birthday, so Jack Black asked him to make a wish and the guitarist replied: “Don’t miss Trump next time”.

It’s over 100 degrees here with a hot wind blowing out of the west.

On my way home. A traffic jam started north of Ferris, Tx, and I drive past it for about ten minutes before it petered out, but with more cars driving into it. There was an overpass that was also backed up, that fed into that northbound lane.
I was able to see the cause….a trucker cab was being hooked up to a tow vehicle, and another tow truck had a crane loading the remains of a trailer. Burned, with about 85% of the while thing just gone.
I hope everyone made it out safe. It’s gonna take a long time to clear that mess.

Hubby called. We got power about 20 minutes ago. Hallelujah!

Sean Davis, Editor of The Federalist:
Secret Service had snipers INSIDE the building the assassin used. They took pictures of him. They watched him pull out a range finder to get his exact distance to Trump. They radioed the Secret Service command post about the assassin.
They all knew he was there.
Who gave the order to do nothing until after the assassin shot Trump, killed an innocent man on that stage, and fired round after round after round after round?
I will ask this question again and again and again until I get an answer: who gave the order to ignore the shooter until after he fired on Trump?
These new details are jaw-dropping. Who at the Secret Service or DHS gave the order that allowed an assassin to shoot Trump?
-
I may have a Tin-foil hat but this gets worse with the more information coming out.
-
-
One of the snipers inside saw Crooks
outside looking up at the roof observing the
building and then disappeared, according to
local law enforcement.
Then Crooks came back, sat down and was
looking on his phone and at that point one of
the snipers took a picture of him.
Then Crooks took out a range finder and the
sniper radio-ed to the command post.
Crooks disappeared again and then came
back a third time with a backpack. The
snipers called in with information that he
had a backpack and said he was walking
towards the back of the building.

Sean Davis at The Federalist, top of the front page. Davis is no hothead conspiracy theorist so this is a very serious charge across the bow of the Left.
Biden’s Team Deliberately Kneecapped Trump’s Security to Allow an Assassination Attempt
Nobody wants to hear this because of the implications, but oh well, because it needs to be said: Joe Biden’s security regime deliberately and with malice and forethought created the conditions that led to an attempted assassin shooting Donald Trump in the head. It is by the grace of God that he lived and our nation is not currently in the midst of a violent civil war.
They deliberately starved Trump’s security team of the resources it needed. And they did it repeatedly, over many weeks and months.
and,
Biden’s security regime then ordered the most obvious assassination perch in the entire area to remain outside the main security perimeter.
Furthermore, Biden’s Secret Service director ordered law enforcement and counter-snipers OFF the roof the assassin used.
If that weren’t enough, Biden’s security regime also refused to block the line of sight from the assassin’s perch to Trump’s location. When law enforcement radioed in a suspicious person using a laser range finder at the building and even took photos of him, nothing was done to detain the assassin.
-
Resign? Fired?
This woman should be in jail.“That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof,” she said. “And so, you know, the decision was made to secure the building, from inside.”
Three counter-snipers were positioned in the building underneath the roof from which Saturday’s gunman fired multiple shots killing one rallygoer and injuring three others, including Trump.
-
Anybody heard from Adee ? It’s been a while and I’m starting to get concerned. I think they were still trying to recover from a case of WLR.
-
This woman is really going to testify before a Congressional Committee and the American People that the roof of that building was too sloped to place a sniper?
What an absolute fool.
-
You won’t be surprised to know I believe this was a sanctioned hit by the current regime.
cause when you believe that all the so called errors the ss made fall into place.
it’s the biggest story and cover up since Kennedy in 1963.
but don’t look for the totalitariancrat propagandist press to look into it.they’re doubling down on their projection.
everything they accuse Trump of, he’s hitler,he a racist, he’s a threat to democracy, etc they are already doing and have done.the media and the totalitariancrat party are vile and evil to their core.
they will now be referred to as EvilCorp.no uniting with these folks. They want their boot on your face forever or they want you dead..
whoever ‘wins’ in November no one will believe the results.
all I can say is states like Texas better have a contingency plan if the evilcrat party steals it again.
and where are the GoopeeCons? Not hearing hardly anything out of them about the assassination attempt.
what on G_d’s green earth does it take for them to grow a nutsack?
Their cowardice is off the charts. -
I have only one regret over Gold Bar Bob getting convicted. Menendez has been the most pro-Jewish, pro-Israel Democrat in the Senate and has never hesitated to use his seniority to back down Democrat colleagues who wanted to stab Israel in the back. He also used his powerful obstruction tools as a senator to block anti-Israel crap from both Obama and Biden administrations. The Tribe is going to miss him.
-
If the pitch was any less it would be flat.
-
-
The pitch of that roof was so shallow that it wouldn’t require OSHA fall harnesses.
It was flat enough for the three-five cops to comfortably stand around the dudes dead body.
Did they not have a sniper on the water tower with a very commanding view of the entire area, including the dude’s perch and the stage?
-
The slope of the red barn roof from which the Secret Service sniper killed the assassin has a much steeper slope.
-
And in case no one noticed they steal elections in France too.
-
The French have come full circle and I am sure they are dragging out the old guillotines as we speak.

I think it is important to download all the evidence onto hard drives so that the accumulation of evidence pointing directly to the White House does not escape down the memory hole. Download the videos and the text.
The Tree of Liberty is looking mighty peaked and is in desperate need of nourishment. -
Well, I’m home after eating dinner out with Hubby. The house is still trying to cool down, and Hubby stole/moved every dang plug and extension cord in the house; rearranged some pieces of furniture, and left a pile of leaves by the back door near the outside generator. /sigh/
Time to put my house back together. I don’t blame him for doing what he needed to do to survive, but at some point I have to unpack, too….
I got spoiled in Denton, without mosquitoes. What a rude homecoming.
-
FWIW; The only speaker at the RNC Convention tonight that was better than Steve Scalise was Vivek Ramaswamy who gave a rip snortin’ barn burner of a speech. That said I didn’t catch JD Vance but I’m sure he was great. I’ll catch him in the morning on the DVR.

Sarah Huckabee and Marco Rubio kicked ass.
