Linguistic White Supremacy: The Left’s New Crusade Against the English Language

Cue the perennial abuse of “white supremacy.” The phrase’s original meaning of a belief system that White people are inherently superior to other races is now completely coopted with shapeshifting and ever-expanding connotations. Objectivity, a sense of urgency, perfectionism, and written words are characteristics of white supremacy culture. Getting married, like structural racism, bolsters white supremacy. Even soap dispensers perpetuate white supremacy.

The U.S. academia has now concocted an absurd proposition that speaking and writing proper English is a form of white supremacy. The term is “Linguistic White Supremacy(LWS)” or “White Language Supremacy (WLS),” depending on where you look.

and this as well,

CCC goes on to outline the characteristics of WLS as “habits of white language,” including: “individualism,” “stance of neutrality, objectivity, and apoliticality,” “rational, controlled self,” “rule-governed, contractual relationships,” “clarity, order, and control.” In other words, good virtues and values, with roots in the Age of the Enlightenment, are just learned habits of white supremacists.

BTW; I caught a glimpse of the Maryland Carpetbagger on the national news saying something about investigating Houston Looting and Pillaging for not taking care of the power lines and their infrastructure. So is Beryl much like Ike in uncovering the lack of maintenance on the power lines. Deja Vu all over again?

I’m awake and was accompanied by the Short Dawgie but she decided there wasn’t anything of interest to her happening so she went back to bed… But we DO have power not coming from our stand-by genny, so that’s progress, I suppose… But there is a dog outside barking a “one note samba” that is about to drive me crazy…

I didn’t know there was some standard metric for measuring damages from a category 1 hurricane. So every cat 1 storm is supposed to inflict the same exact destruction and power outages ? That is a really stupid statement, Dan.

What about Tropical Storm Allison in June, 2001 ? It wasn’t even a hurricane and sometimes it weakened to Subtropical status. How about the 35″ of rain in five days that fell northeast of downtown Houston back then and the 38″ that hit the Port of Houston ?

I’ve never seen a utility company in my life with a decent, responsive customer service department. Monopolies and semi-monopolies don’t attract the kind of people who create excellent customer relations. If they are whining now about Centerpoint, then they forgot or are too young to have experienced post-hurricane Houston Lighting & Power decades ago when they were a true monopoly.

    Texas Scorecard report:

While over a million Texans have been left without power for days after Hurricane Beryl, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is highlighting questions for electricity distributor CenterPoint, which he and the Senate will seek answers to.

Patrick posted on X, “For various reasons, the storm had a heavier impact than most CAT 1 storms. Trees were knocked down everywhere, often taking power lines with them. Texans understand that.”

However, Patrick stated that with continued power outages following Hurricane Beryl, there are around a million homes and businesses, nine fire stations, and seniors in assisted living and nursing homes without power.

I don’t know if there was any truth to it, back then with TS Allison, but I seem to remember what may have been an urban myth – that “they” turned off the power in Houston before the flood waters got too deep because there would have been more damage to “infrastructure” if the water knocked out the power “because the heat would have made the system suck water into the lines”…

    1. Texpat Avatar
      Texpat

During Allison, some other guys and I were organizing triplex and centrifugal pump skids to take down to the Medical Center to help pump out all those 3 and 4 story underground parking garages. There were lots of totaled vehicles down there. Coming up with the gensets for power and enough hoses to carry the water away was the hard part. There was no point in pumping water out just so it would run back in.

The worst part of all were the idiot architects and engineers who placed huge, expensive standby generators at the bottom of the parking garages or on a concrete pad 4″ above the street curb level. They were almost all ruined. Go down to the TMC today and see all the standby generators on stilts.

      1. bsue54 Avatar
        bsue54

there were some (the garages at Methodist & St Lukes TMC come to mind) where they placed generators on the 2 floor of the parking garage AFTER that expensive lesson…

Federal court in Texas eviscerates Biden’s Title IX rule which would force schools to accommodate boys (who identify as girls) into girls’ sports, showers & locker rooms.

Perhaps the most incredible part of this opinion is how the government lawyers described the concerns of school age girls who don’t wish to dress & undress with boys as “niche.”

The government literally argued that it’s wrong for a trans kid to feel uncomfortable in a locker room, but if a non-trans kid feels uncomfortable? Well, that’s a rather niche issue. Amazing!

(The court unsurprisingly rejected this argument.)

The court also recognized the obvious – that Biden’s proposed executive re-write of Title IX impermissibly grants special privileges to kids who identify as trans.

Alliance Defending Freedom argued the case for Carroll ISD. The Biden DOJ brought in a hotshot young lawyer who previously clerked for ACB. Unfortunately for Biden but fortunately for us, the proposed rule is so nonsensical that no argument could save it.

This is the way Dems build conservative majorities.

Biden & Mayorkas dump 20,000 Haitian refugees on the small city of Springfield, Ohio, population 58,000.

“We do not have the capacity to sustain that, it’s taxing our infrastructure, it’s taxing public safety, it’s taxing our schools, it’s taxing healthcare, and taxing our housing.”

This is exactly what we mean when we say, they are replacing citizens in real time. I don’t just believe we need to vote these people out, I believe we need to charge them with treason for enabling the invasion of the United States.

THE WEEK IN PICTURES: ANYWAY. . .

So this was the week Joe Biden and the Democratic machine, looking for a squirrel, any squirrel, discovered Project 2025, which—horror of horrors!—proposes conservative ideas for America. Ideas like sound fiscal policy, strong national defense, family values, lower taxes, less regulation, back to basics education, etc. In other words, for the left, a climate of hate. As Joe Biden might say, anyway. . . Now back to President Chauncey Gardner, Vice President Trump, and Ukrainian President Putin.

Every time I see someone mention preserves, I smile and think of one of my trips to Abilene to visit Mama and Daddy – when we went to his aunt’s place out at Clyde and picked a BUNCH of pears. When I got back to Houston I proceeded to follow the directions Mama’d given me to make pear preserves. As I was cooking them, I called her and asked when I would know they were done – and was assured that I needed to “boil them til they turned red…” I boiled’m til the cows came home, and decided I’d have to be satisfied with pink preserves because that’s as dark as I could get them, not understanding that she meant when they changed from ‘white-ish’ to ‘red-ish’ not RED… I coulda used that first batch for roofing tar, if I coulda gotten the spoon out after I stuck it into the jar…

Speaking of Medicare…………. Humana/Centerwell is doing all they can do to implement “in home care” with me.I get calls lot’s of them from Humwell to schedule me for an in home evaluation etc. I told “them” that I just got my annual poking and prodding from MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR and I do not want or need their services in my home.

Their reply is they do this to help my doctor.
NO THE REASON THEY WANT TO DO THAT IS TO FULLY TAKE CONTROL OF WHAT THEY DEEM ARE MY HEALTH CARE NEEDS.
I have been arguing with them as to why I need certain medications. At the moment they relent but not without several emails telling me alternatives to what my doctor prescribed and of course life style changes etc.

Take heed cause all this is coming for you too.

I am posting this so that later I can point to it and say I told you so.

My supplemental Medicare policy is with Mutual of Omaha. AMAC did the analysis and recommended them for me when I began Medicare. They don’t bother me and they have covered a fortune in billings. No complaints and praise is due.

My prescription drug plan, Wellcare (formerly Aetna) is another story. They are completely unrelated to Mutual of Omaha. While they have been great on covering everything with virtually zero copay, they are constantly trying to sell me on their Medicare Advantage Plan which I do not want. I occasionally take their calls to humor them because I want them to keep covering my scripts.

And I get to put more hugs and giggles into my cuddle tank.

    Victor Davis Hanson:

So since at least 2016 there has been a parlor game among Leftist celebrities and entertainers joking (one hopes), dreaming, imagining, and just talking about the various and graphic ways they would like to assassinate or seriously injure Trump:

By slugging his face (Robert De Niro), by decapitation (Kathy Griffin, Marilyn Manson), by stabbing (Shakespeare in the Park), by clubbing (Mickey Rourke), by shooting ( Snoop Dogg), by poisoning (Anthony Bourdain), by bounty killing (George Lopez), by carrion eating his corpse (Pearl Jam), by suffocating (Larry Whilmore), by blowing him up (Madonna, Moby), by throwing him over a cliff (Rosie O’Donnell), just by generic “killing” him (Johnny Depp, Big Sean), or by martyring him (Reid Hoffman: “Yeah, I wish I had made him an actual martyr.”).

This is a non-assassination story. It is incredible though. A lengthy investigative report on a nightmare story in Granbury, Texas. It’s the
picturesque county seat of Hood County, southwest of Fort Worth.

None of them knew what, exactly, was causing these symptoms. But they all shared a singular grievance: a dull aural hum had crept into their lives, which growled or roared depending on the time of day, rattling their windows and rendering them unable to sleep. The hum, local law enforcement had learned, was emanating from a Bitcoin mining facility that had recently moved into the area—and was exceeding legal noise ordinances on a daily basis.

Over the course of several months in 2024, TIME spoke to more than 40 people in the Granbury area who reported a medical ailment that they believe is connected to the arrival of the Bitcoin mine: hypertension, heart palpitations, chest pain, vertigo, tinnitus, migraines, panic attacks. At least 10 people went to urgent care or the emergency room with these symptoms. The development of large-scale Bitcoin mines and data centers is quite new, and most of them are housed in extremely remote places.

There have been no major medical studies on the impacts of living near one. But there is an increasing body of scientific studies linking prolonged exposure to noise pollution with cardiovascular damage. And one local doctor—ears, nose, and throat specialist Salim Bhaloo—says he sees patients with symptoms potentially stemming from the Bitcoin mine’s noise on an almost weekly basis.

I found it quite interesting that the only Presidents to be assassinated were all Rs except JKF and he was going after the Deep State. The Ds are in unison that the Rs are evil, hitler, etc, yet the outright criminal acts and evil intentions always come from the left. Me thinks they doth protest too much.

So I’m now supposed to believe the lying media is going to tell the truth about what happened with the assassination attempt when all they do is lie?

lied about the wooden dummy’s health for four years.
lied about Russian collusion with Trump for four years.
and on it goes. The lies are never ending.

and the fib that hates Trump is going to investigate what happened and get to the bottom of it?
The same fib tha raided mar-a-lago, staged Jan 6th, most likely assisted in 2020 steal and only arrests Trump supporters ?.?

    that fib?

I looked at the GoFundMe page Trump set up for the three families – one whose father was murdered and the two critically injured victims. The goal was $1,000,000 and an hour ago it was over $1,700,000.

Good grief, I had forgotten about this.

Theodore Roosevelt’s opening line was hardly remarkable for a presidential campaign speech: “Friends, I shall ask you to be as quiet as possible.” His second line, however, was a bombshell.

“I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot.”

Clearly, Roosevelt had buried the lede. The horrified audience in the Milwaukee Auditorium on October 14, 1912, gasped as the former president unbuttoned his vest to reveal his bloodstained shirt. “It takes more than that to kill a bull moose,” the wounded candidate assured them. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a bullet-riddled, 50-page speech. Holding up his prepared remarks, which had two big holes blown through each page, Roosevelt continued. “Fortunately I had my manuscript, so you see I was going to make a long speech, and there is a bullet—there is where the bullet went through—and it probably saved me from it going into my heart. The bullet is in me now, so I cannot make a very long speech, but I will try my best.”

You have to be a certain age to remember when Frito-Lay was a distant runner-up in the potato chip wars in SE Texas. George Dentler and his family made the finest potato chips ever and dominated the market. Lay’s are good, but they have never been as good as Dentler’s. They disappeared off the shelves in the late 1960s after the company sold out to Pet Milk.

A house in the neighborhood just sold for $679,000. It is not a very attractive house, 1700 square feet, 3 bd 2 bath, central AC, lot 85X100.

No wonder our taxes keep going up.

Good heavens. I just looked up the Zillow on this house and it’s $633,000 (high end estimate $672,000). During Covid, it was estimated at $460,000. These young couples are still coming out of New York and paying high prices because it looks cheap here compared to NYC.

The house in this same neighborhood I gutted and fully renovated and had to sell right after the economic disaster in 2009-2012 is now valued at $603,000. I sold it for $389,000.

this is playing out much like the jfk assassination.
Crooks played the part of Oswald and the SS played Jack Ruby.

I believe it was an intentional ss failure so the narrative could be set.
Only this time the real failure for them was they missed. The real shooter was allowed to escape because he is a member of the DC club.

and now the Trump hating fib is in charge of the investigation.
remember when the fib raided Epstein Island to retrieve all the evidence?
    where did it go?

    remember Ray Epps?
    someone?
    anyone?
    ferris?

remember the phony, staged and failed governor whitmire kidnapping plot?

when it comes to the always lying media and always lying government it always pays to think outside the proverbial box.

There’s nothing like severe thunderstorms to keep the Lunatic Left protesters off the streets.

Event planners at Fiserv Forum will also need to contend with potentially severe thunderstorms that are forecast to bring strong winds, hail, and the possibility of tornadoes to the Milwaukee area.

NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has highlighted an area in the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes, including Milwaukee, for a 2 out of 5 risk for severe thunderstorms on Monday. Just south of the convention, cities like Chicago have an even greater risk of severe weather, with a 3 out of 5 risk from the SPC.
