So the feckless Biden Administration is planning to negotiate with Hamas on release of the US hostages and leave the Israelis out of it? Somehow having the Secretary of Eunuch’s involved in this doesn’t give me the warm fuzzes.

If you had even a shred of respect left for the FBI, this will cure it. I was ready to start smashing things against the wall last night when I read this.
FBI officials conducting a top-secret security clearance review for a longtime employee asked witnesses whether that employee was known to support former President Donald Trump, if he had expressed concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine or had attended a Second Amendment rally, according to internal memos that prompted a complaint to the Justice Department’s internal watchdog alleging political bias inside the bureau.
The employee’s security clearance was revoked months after the interviews, which confirmed his support for Trump and gun rights and his concerns about the COVID vaccine, according to the documents obtained by Just the News.

I’m posting this on the outside chance someone has not heard the story. It’s a stunning admission of guilt we’ve all known was true. The most surprising part is it originated from Pelosi’s own daughter.
Moments after being whisked away from the U.S. Capitol after it was breached on Jan. 6, 2021, then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was captured on videotape declaring “I take responsibility” for failing to have a better security plan for the complex that fateful day, according to footage released Monday by House GOP investigators.
Pelosi also said: “You’re going to ask me – in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached the inaugural stuff – ‘should we call the Capitol Police, I mean the National Guard?’ Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?”

I am certain Squawk will never look this good in a Speedo.
Adam Mara’ana is half-Jewish, half Arab-Muslim and all heart.
Next month, the lights-out gorgeous citizen of Israel is set to represent the Jewish state in the pool as a member of the Israeli Olympic swimming team, traveling to Paris to compete in the 100-meter backstroke event.
At the tender age of 20, Adam is more than an athlete. He is living proof that the country of his birth is nothing like the evil caricature portrayed in the international leftist media and slandered on college campuses near and far.
and the matrilineal won out over the patrilineal,
“My mother is Jewish, I served in the Army, studied Torah, celebrated Bar-Mitzvah, and my father is an Arab Muslim,” he said matter-of-factly in a recent interview.
“I’m very proud of it and he’s very proud of me.”

Wonderful story, and good luck to him.

My question is this: What incentive at all does Hamas have for negotiating a ceasefire with Biden/Blinken ? If Israel isn’t a party to the deal then what is the point ?
-
The point is a desperate need for something positive to campaign on. The notion of actually fixing a problem never seems to occur to those on the left. It is all about optics not about results.

What is good for the goose . . .
Headline: It’s Time to Arrest James Clapper and Antony Blinken
Prosecutors in Donald Trump’s New York City trial alleged that he attempted to unlawfully sway the 2016 presidential election by suppressing damaging stories about his personal life.
“This was a planned, long-running conspiracy to influence the 2016 election, to help Donald Trump get elected through illegal expenditures to silence people who had something bad to say about his behavior,” prosecutor Matthew Colangelo told the jurors back in April. “It was election fraud, pure and simple.”
If trying to suppress damaging stories is a crime, then former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and the 50 other national security officials who signed onto a letter claiming that the infamous Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation should all be charged with the same crime.
The crime of perjury is well established with the above; they lied under oath that the laptop was Russian disinformation when they knew at the time that it was genuine. Lock those bastiges up.

Had the gas line outlet done – thanks bone. (btw – did you get a hose to run from gas meter to your generator?)
Upstairs A/C has been producing lots of airs, but no cools. Guy came to investigate. Pressure in the system was ambient. Yay. Pressurized the system with nitrogen in effort to see a leak with bubbles. Nope.
Turns out the inlet valve on the low pressure side was leaking. Dude didn’t have one on his truck, plus not enough refrigerant, and no vacuum pump. So I get to reschedule.
-
One 1/2″ x 24′ came with the generator. I bought an additional 3/4″ x 36′ hose to feed it with. This way I can put the noisy sob behind the garage. the 3/4″hose was found on Bezos.com

I requested a mosquito fogging this morning, and not, did it make s difference. I was finally able to stay in my garden and fertilize until the heat became to much. I didn’t with about watering in since we’re supposed to get some rain soon. If it fails to materialize, I’ll water later.
So, cooling off at the desk for a bit. Hubby’s is working on my car today. We’ll see if he can get me mobile soon.

Here’s the roundup du jour from the C&C:
Good morning, C&C, it’s Tuesday! As election season inexorable trundles across the political battlefields, the dramatic news does not stop. In today’s essential news roundup: Biden’s latest great Proxy War idea might have been his worst idea ever, but at least the 1935 German Chancellor would be proud; Biden polling circling the toilet bowl; some clarifying comments about the 9th Circuit’s terrific Health Freedom Fund decision; Florida wins more ground in the culture wars as DeSantis tosses down the school gauntlet; and the rest of Europe joins France as EU members vote in conservatives in record numbers in what will hopefully be a prophetic development.

The German Chancellor would be proud. /snuffle snort -
When the whole Ukraine thing blew up, one of the discussions that surrounded Russia’s invasion was the threat of the rise of Nazism in Ukraine.
Remember when Russia fought a big, huge war against Nazis? Yeah.
[Insert image of Azov soldiers, in full gear, holding a flag with a swastika on it]
The alleged President of the United States, the free world’s bastion of freedom and democracy, the shining light upon the hill, the country that saved the world from the German Chancellor with the funny mustache, is now officially and literally arming nazis.
In a story describing Ukraine’s infamous Azov Battalion only as “a one-time militia with a checkered past,” the Washington Post ran this understated headline: “U.S. lifts weapons ban on Ukrainian military unit.”
/snip
In WaPo’s few short paragraphs, the corporate media platform never applied the N— word directly to Azov. Instead, it reported the goose-stepping regiment as having “far-right and ultra-nationalist roots,” which is the same generic label it often slaps on Americans attending a MAGA rally.
A long-standing federal statute — the Leahy Law — sensibly bars any U.S. military aid to foreigners who ever committed serious human rights violations. So up until now, the deal with Ukraine logically prohibited giving any of our U.S. high-tech weapons to the Azovs, who not only believe in literal Hitlerian Nazism, but since 2014 were busy little nazis overrunning western Ukraine, where they committed countless serious human rights abuses against Russian-speaking people, which President Putin often claims was one of the reasons for the invasion in the first place.
So, as the discussion progresses, it appears that Biden (or rather, the handlers in charge) is breaking law (again) and recklessly at that (again).
I’d say “what an idiot” but that would be an insult to idiots.

Mr. C. ventures into the legal realm to discuss the decision by an appellate court to declare the jab not a “vaccine” but a “therapeutic,” which changes all kinds of rules and dictates. Texpat noted the ruling yesterday, as did Mr. C. This is important.
The C&C has some paragraphs regarding this decision, and once again I learned something new:
…But the appellate courts like the 9th still have a super power to resist bad Supreme Court decisions, which is the awesome ability of distinguishing.
Distinguishing Supreme Court precedent means carving it up into smaller and smaller pieces, so that it applies in fewer and fewer cases. The more the appellate courts distinguish Supreme Court law, the less often it applies to real-world cases.
[insert a description of how this might work]
Non-lawyers can be forgiven for failing to understand how truly powerful are our federal appellate courts. The appellate courts hear hundreds of thousands of cases every year. But the nine Justices on the Supreme Court can only handle a few dozen cases a year. Appellate Courts can swamp the Supremes with sheer numbers.
For that reason, one of my mentors, a cranky misanthrope who is a literal legal genius, often remarks the Circuit Courts of Appeal are the most powerful courts in the country.
So even if the SCOTUS screws up, the appellate level courts can minimize and over time, theoretically invalidate the damage.
-
Mr. C. then brings up awesome DeSantis Florida news. Pushback against Gov Ed abuse, and how he managed to deflate a surge in illegal immigration before it became a problem.
Oh, if only we could clone him and ship him to other states….

A while back, you were wondering about all the traffic from B/CS pouring on to 290 from HWY 6 at Hempstead Saturday.
They had two major sporting events that weekend…Super Regional College Baseball Playoff games and a Brazil vs. Mexico soccer match that drew 85,000 to Kyle Field Saturday night. -
Spouse and I have come down with nasty colds, likely something caught by eternal waiting in airports on the way home from visiting the kin in Wisconsin. That was a fun time.
Their ancient Labrador, Ozzy (in his 15th year) was looking much better than he had been, but their vet said the meds he is now on are the last ones he can offer. They’ve run out of meds to try.
When I feel halfway good, I keep in touch with y’all and catch up on what I missed while gone. Appetite is mostly gone for both of us. Nap time calls.
-
I am telling you airports anywhere are like virology/contagion laboratories. I’ve gone on and returned from trips over the past 10-12 years and almost always ended up being sick and I am not the sickly type of person.
I am pretty sure I caught Covid back in November of 2019 when I flew to and from Texas. Nobody was testing for it, but I had all the symptoms. It took three rounds of medication from my doctor to finally kick it.

North Korean soldiers getting frisky with their own illegal border crossing.
We have these two conflicting paragraphs:
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) disclosed during a Tuesday news briefing that while some of the North Korean soldiers were armed, others carried maintenance equipment. Details such as the number of soldiers involved or the number of warning shots fired by South Korean forces were not specified. The JCS assessed that the intrusion was not intentional, as the North Korean soldiers quickly withdrew back to the north after South Korea issued a warning broadcast and fired warning shots.
This border breach occurred shortly before a statement from the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was publicized by North Korean media. She indicated that Pyongyang was planning retaliatory measures against South Korea. This statement came in response to South Korea resuming loudspeaker broadcasts across the border, a practice that had been suspended for years.

In scientific news, we are developing a methodology for using robots to prep Mars for exploration and colonization.
Researchers have developed an innovative method that enhances autonomous robotic exploration on other planets by utilizing teams of robots rather than a single large unit. This new approach integrates multiple data sources such as HiRISE orbiter imaging, probability distribution maps, and onboard rover sensors, which collectively aid in determining the most efficient and safe routes for exploration teams.
The primary focus of this new methodology is to optimize the exploration of Mars, specifically targeting the Jezero crater. By employing multi-robot teams, the methodology aims to cover more ground efficiently, ensuring that the robotic explorers maintain safe operating parameters such as nominal pitch and roll limits throughout their missions.

“The Freeze” was a dance move in the 80’s, but Joe takes it a bit too far. Someone removed their hand from the Meat Puppet’s butt and he was left frozen. It’s pathetic how George Floyd’s brother tried to help him cover the problem with a rather weak fist bump. I find the dude to the left in the sparkly gown rather disconcerting as well. However, I do take some consolation that Sparkly Dude doesn’t have the power to instigate WWIII.

Note also: Kamala seems to be totally oblivious.

You gotta know you peaked Texpat’s interest with a old new dance move. So here ya go someone willing to
act the foolteach all the denizens of the couch how to do the dance. I am more of a mash potato kind of guy myself.-
Those two women should be arrested for impersonating dancers. I, on the other hand, have dance moves that would blow your mind.

There is one thing I do since filling out these stupid forms every time you show up to a doctor’s office irritates the hell out of me and basically I refuse.
I have three lists typed up with my full name, address, email, cellphone and birthdate: A) All my prescription medications and over the counter meds listed with dosage info; B) a list of all my physicians and their contact numbers; C) a historical list of every injury or operation I’ve ever had since 1956 (4 years old).
You’d be surprised how grateful these office personnel because all they have to do is scan it into my file.
-
That’s a great idea. I thought of doing something like that for Mom, but never got around to it.

My medical forms rant reminds me of a story I know I’ve told here or on LST before. Correcting my comment below, I was only 4 years old in the summer of 1956 when I had my tonsils removed at the old Saint Joseph’s Hospital in downtown Houston.
My father, only 30 years old, was always fascinated with new technology showed up to my hospital room the day after I had been terrorized by these Catholic Nun nurses who had stood around a gurney in the operating room and held me down while a really scary one held a mask over my face. I wondered why my parents had sent me to this place to be murdered and then I was out cold.
My father had brought me a Japanese transistor radio and there were not 50 people in Harris County who had ever seen one in the summer of ’56. I found Gordon McClendon’s KILT on the radio playing “You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Hound Dog” by Elvis and they played it about every 15 minutes.
The most amusing part of the story was every doctor and nurse in the hospital heard about this battery operated transistor radio and came by my room to see and hear it. They came day and night. I was the most popular patient in the whole place.
-
Damn. When I had my tonsils out, all he brought me was a stuffed, pink, dachshund dog.
🙂 -
My favorite radio is one I’ve had since college, a simple transistor radio with knobs. That thing is possibly the most dependable thing I’ve ever owned.
-
-
Big Mama Thornton first recorded “Ain’t Nothing But a Hound Dog” that had been written by two Jewish teenagers named Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.
Once Elvis made a huge hit out of it, Big Mama threatened to sue him and got lawyers involved until it was revealed two little, white Jewish boys had actually written it and then it all went away.

Hubby got a phone call and grudgingly got up to answer it. (He’s had a hard day, working on my car in the heat.) He walked to the bar where he’d plugged in his phone and then I hear his happy voice: “Hey! It’s my friend Scam Likely!”
Hubby isn’t always funny, but he was that time. We both laughed.

Absolutely devastating news…
On Martha’s Vineyard, they’re running out of government-regulated marijuana, and that has some of the locals up in virtual arms. Slowly, one imagines.
The Associated Press told the story on Tuesday of an unnamed 81-year-old Vineyard resident who drove to the Island Time pot shop to pick up her usual dose but “owner Geoff Rose had to tell her the cupboard was bare.” He’d had to close up shop three weeks earlier after selling out the last of his inventory of weed and edibles.
Barack Obama could not be reached for comment before publication but my sources say he was last seen on the sofa with a Family Size bag of Cheetohs. It’s good to be the (former) king.
(I made up the part about Obama. All the other absurdities in this column are 100% true.)
The culprit behind the shortage is the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, which ruled that “transporting pot across the ocean — whether by boat or plane — risks running afoul of federal laws,” according to the AP. You can grow weed on the Vineyard but you can’t transport it there. Never mind the part where people do transport it to the island every time they buy it on the mainland. They just can’t transport it to a store for purchase by somebody else.

I figured the Hwy 6 traffic had to have been from a big event in BCS, probably sport. Sure was a late crowd at 1:30 AM.
