It is just pouring outside right now. Hubby was prepping and cleaning his car for the show tomorrow. Ah, well…at least he got to lay hands on his mistress.
I watched Blue Bloods from the beginning and while I had some criticisms about Donnie Wahlberg and never thought he was the right actor for the role, I always really loved the show. It was classic Leonard Goldberg, the Babe Ruth of television entertainment. Aaron Spelling was Mickey Mantle and Dick Wolf is Willie Mays.
I tried to call Harper last night and got no answer. I did ask Shannon to try and call her. I have an out of town number and she probably wouldn’t answer my call anyway.
We have sunlight shining through high white clouds and below that a mist floating above the ground that slightly softens the view around the neighborhood. It likely won’t last long but provides a lovely scene.
I Don’t know if there are any other Blue Bloods fans in this group, but I found an article today that explained how the series is set up this year. This is Season 14, which will be the last one. I can appreciate what Mrs. Harper went through after yesterday’s fall. When a fall happens, the first thing to do is take time to think where you are and assess what happened before trying to get up. We were very fortunate to get power back last night around 8pm. Must be because a large substation is only a few miles or so away from us or the large outage was much farther to the north of us.
The picture of the fallen powerline is indeed scary. Those things are enormous and must weigh tons.
Power is still out at Casa Bonecrusher, DANGIT. I read something from Centerpoint stating that some areas could be without power for weeks. What a lovely way to end a beautiful trip.
Finally talked to Harper. Her phone hasn’t worked until now. Lots of tree damage. She went out to check the front yard very late afternoon and managed to fall in the mud.
