European Union’s Anti-Musk ‘Twitter Alternative’ Closes With Only 18 Active Users

Two years after commencing a “pioneering journey” to forge an EU-controlled answer to Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, the European Commission has called time on ‘EU Voice.’

Brussels wanted its very own alternative to the social media giant recently rebranded X, which has itself clashed with Eurocrat regulators over its free speech policies. An anti-Musk platform, based on the left-leaning networked system Mastodon, has proved a dismal failure.

The decision to shutter the EU-run platform comes after, embarrassingly, the site could only register a mere 40 ‘institutional accounts’ from the hundreds of MEPs, Commissioners, diplomats and other officials employed by the Commission. Even Margrethe Vestager, a top EU Big Tech regulator, appears never to have used her own account.

There are no words to describe the guffawing and slap happy silliness happening over here in response to this news.

    BAWHAHAHAHA! Yup, you can’t make this up it reminds me of the time the liberal media started a radio talk show to compete with Rush Limbaugh and I think they had Alex Baldwin as the host? It of course failed miserably, partly because as Rush said, the left has NO sense of humor.

      Air America arrived with much fanfare and predictions that this would be the end of conservative talk radio. Rush Limbaugh knew this was complete astroturf BS and rebranded the network Airhead America. It seems like it lasted about a year before assuming room temperature.

    From last night;

    This morning we went to Home Depot and bought a high-rise, elongated American Standard toilet and hero brother is in there installing it.

    I harvested some more green beans this morning (bush variety) and noted with pleasure my asparagus beans are beginning to flower and fruit. My little girl family that I hug each week excitedly told me that they planted their bean seeds. I told one of them that the plant will want to get “this high” before it starts to flower, and her face fell. I told her to be patient with her bean plant. At that age, waiting for anything is torture. So cute.

    Thanks to the frat boys who are pushing back against the women and the effeminate males wearing the uniform of the cause de jour: the keffiyeh. At least the scarf makes it easier to identify the ignorant when out in public. I hope future employers do so.

    I see that Fr. Richard Heilman has passed away. If this is the priest that I think this is, imagine a Fr. Altman type. He would have been a member of U.S. Grace Force, a group of faithful Catholics calling people, especially men, to be a strong force against evil.

    If this is the same Fr. Heilman, he will be missed.

    I did a little gardening – some staking and such, started soup for Hubby’s dinner, and now I must shower and head out. I promised a friend that I’d cash her check today, and so must get to the bank before they close.

    ‘My parents really poured into me’: 17-year-old girl earns 3 degrees in 2 years.

    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC/Gray News) – A 17-year-old girl will graduate from the University of Alabama with her master’s degree.

    LeAnna Roberts said she decided long ago that she wanted to do well in academics. She also credits her parents as a big part of her success.

    “I would say I am surprised. Looking back four years ago when I was in high school, I would have never imagined, never saw this in the cards myself,” said Roberts.

    Roberts graduated from high school at 15 years old, and on that same day, she earned an associate’s degree in science from Shelton State Community College, WBRC reported.

    “When I started my 9th grade year, I knew I wanted a challenge and I began to take dual enrollment courses at Shelton State Community College.”

    She didn’t stop there.

    Roberts also earned her undergrad degree in biology at 16 years old. And on Saturday, she will walk on stage and receive another degree.

    This time she’s receiving a master’s in business administration with a healthcare management concentration, WBRC reported.

    Today’s screaming headline says it all. Hysterical to us, disaster to them. EU Voice had a really brief life, and Mr. Musk likely is enjoying it a lot.
