That woman is a cutie.
Wake up everyone!
I approve of the Friday selection.
Wife’s big cousin reunion she is throwing here is tomorrow. Expecting about forty peoples. Yesterday we smoked two 15lb briskets and two 20lb bags of chicken leg quarters over ar my youngest’s house, plus we did a couple of beer can chickens for dinner last night. Have a bunch of sausage as well but I’ll do those in the morning.
I’m going to wager that you have food leftover.
I’m sure, kind of a deal where one is not enough, two is too many.
Man! You did good. Oh and how much are briskets going for now? Long gone are the days of a buck a pound briskets. They were always on sale memorial day the Fourth and Labor Day so I’d stock so I always had one in the freezer.
Oh and what time do I need to be there? Do I need to bring beer? 😉
*Edit – two 10lb bags of leg quarters.
Elizabeth Hussey?! I don’t recognize her but she does look nice.

I am a dyed-in-the-wool capitalist and will defend it against any assailants. I wholeheartedly support these fine young ecdysiasts fighting for The Cause in the name of freedom and liberty – and property rights too.
Two dancers at an Alabama strip club are suing their former employer over several alleged violations that include a “socialist” tip sharing system.
The former dancers at Sammy’s Strip Club in Birmingham said the club owners allegedly “forced a socialist economic system” by requiring them to share their tips among the club’s staff as part of an “illegal tipping pool.”
“[Club owners] forced a socialist economic system on the dancers mandating they subsidize their co-workers,” the lawsuit filed in the Northern District of Alabama on Sunday said.
The two dancers, who were not identified in the lawsuit, said they were classified as independent contractors and denied minimum wage and overtime.
Hugely great news. God bless Andrew Bailey and his crew.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Today, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey released the following statement after he obtained a court order from St. Louis City Circuit Court forcing Planned Parenthood-St. Louis to hand over documents exposing gender transition interventions performed on children:
“It’s a big day here in Missouri, as the Court just ordered Planned Parenthood-St. Louis to turn over documents relating to gender transition interventions they performed on minors. My team will get to the bottom of how this clandestine network of clinics has subjected children to puberty blockers and irreversible surgery, often without parental consent. There is no more important fight than to ensure Missouri is the safest state in the nation for children. No stone will be left unturned in these investigations.”
The Court’s ruling related to Planned Parenthood-St. Louis can be viewed here.
Attorney General Bailey is now 3/3 in his court battles across the state to force clinics that performed gender transition interventions on children to comply with his investigations.

Remember the strange news story about a shootout in a nice residential neighborhood of Little Rock, AR in which the airport director was killed in his home by ATF agents ?
There have been nothing but vague reports without much substance surrounding this massive show of force against a private homeowner.
The ATF has kept this story clamped down, but the family of the man murdered by ATF agents has begun to speak out.
I’ve advocating for the abolition of the Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms agency at least since the siege of the Branch Davidians in Waco.
The ATF went to Bryan Malinowski’s West Little Rock home last month, spoiling for a gunfight, and they got one. Now, a good man is dead – the latest victim of ATF’s overly aggressive tactics and complete disregard for the sanctity of human life.
ATF has yet to comment officially on the March 19 killing, other to claim Malinowski fired first. But Malinowski’s family recently released a statement which confirms what everyone already knew: It is extremely unlikely that the 53-year-old airport executive knew he was trading gunfire with federal agents. It is far more likely Malinowski believed he was defending himself and his wife from armed home invaders.
“Bryan Malinowski was asleep but rose to the sound of the door crashing and located a firearm. His wife believed the noise must have been intruders and she fully believes her husband thought the same. He loaded a magazine into a pistol and emerged from the master bedroom into a hallway leading indirectly to the front entryway. He reached a corner in the hall and looked around it to see several unidentifiable figures already several steps inside his home,” Malinowski’s family said in the statement. “We do not know who shot first but it appears that Bryan shot approximately three times at a decidedly low angle, probably at the feet of the intruders who were roughly 30 feet away.”
ATF agents shot Malinowski in the head with a carbine at least once. He lingered for two days and then died from his wounds. ATF did not immediately release his body, so the family was not able to donate his organs.
There is Arkancide and then there is plain, old Arkansas homicide.
The acronym, CRE, will be large in the news this year. It stands for commercial real estate.
The reason you will hear a lot about it is because property owners and their bankers are suffering flop-sweat sleep deprivation.
“We look forward to working with the new owner to redevelop the iconic building in the heart of downtown,” the spokeswoman, Sara Freetly, said in an email.
The 1.4 million-square-foot tower, which occupies an entire city block at 909 Chestnut Street, has been a long-standing albatross — one of three large, vacant structures in downtown that have come to represent a stagnant central business district.
But it’s unclear whether the soft real estate market will foster a successful revitalization.
The skyscraper was built in 1986 for Southwestern Bell Co.
In 2006, the company, by then AT&T, sold the tower to a real estate investment trust for $205 million and leased it back for its St. Louis workers.
Now the selling price has leaked out.
The AT&T Tower has sold in St. Louis for just $3.55 million (around $2/sqft), it was sold for over $205 million in 2006.
Let’s see, there is plenty of under cover parking, great internet and other utility access, and it is downtown. Is it unconceivable that one could convert as much as half of that space into luxury residential units instead of office space?
This woman’s face represents the banality of evil. This was a complete betrayal of our justice system and deepest moral sensibilities.
An original OJ Simpson juror on whether the jury members believed he was guilty.
She had no trouble at all making Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman pay for sins they did not commit because they were white. Didn’t want the guilty guy, OJ, punished because he was black. This is about as vile and racist as one can get. I don’t want to hear another word about the racist white guy when this $#!t goes unpunished.
This has been the dark, unthinkable fear in the hearts of all Israelis and Jews. I began to accept this after several hostage negotiations were rejected by Hamas.
They can’t make a deal because the hostages are dead, of greater value to Hamas than over 100 living witnesses to evil, barbaric torture and rape. Israel knows this but cannot publicly acknowledge it.
Park MacDougald’s The Scroll newsletter from Tablet magazine:
Mainstream reporting is catching up to The Scroll’s speculations. In our March 25 edition, Tablet’s geopolitical analyst wrote:
My guess is that most or all of the hostages are dead and their bodies are buried deep in tunnels—which is why these “negotiations” don’t and can’t go anywhere. The reason the hostages are dead is that moving them around became a clear strategic liability, while their gruesome accounts of torture and rape at the hands of their captors would only further inflame Israeli and perhaps world opinion against Hamas. The eventual report of their deaths will be merely a “drop in the bucket” next to the “tens of thousands of dead Gazans.”
and this,
Following reports from earlier this week that Hamas could not produce 40 living hostages as part of a deal, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday:
Around 130 remaining hostages taken in the attack are still in Gaza. Of those, Israeli officials have publicly confirmed that 34 are dead, but Israeli and American officials estimate privately that the number of deaths could be much higher. …
Some U.S. estimates indicate that most of the hostages are already dead, U.S. officials familiar with the intelligence said. They stressed, however, that U.S. visibility on the hostages is limited and depends, in part, on Israeli intelligence. Some were likely killed during Israeli strikes on Gaza, the officials said, while others have died from health issues, including injuries suffered during their initial capture.
Israel should treat the remainder of Hamas like the rabid dogs they are; make the rubble bounce.
So! Who gave the O.C. a rating of #1? Oh wait I know! 😀
Katfish’s first Harley. 😉
Oh and check out the old Map Light plugged into the cigarette lighter.
The lovely BSue and I are celebrating 28 years discovering all kinds of interesting things about each other.
Congrats. What a saint she is.
😀
Happy Anniversary Squawk and Bsue! I hope y’all have many more.
Unfreakingbee-leev-a-bull:
Yesterday, Fox News ran a widely-reported story headlined, “San Francisco proposal would allow lawsuits over grocery store closures.” Apparently unsatisfied that the City isn’t being demolished fast enough, a maniac on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors now seeks to criminalize businesses closing because they are being criminalized.
From the C&C.
Congrats to the couple! Any many more!
I hafta meet our mechanic about my car shortly, then my first meeting with Fr. Felix and the Rosary Apostolate.
Here’s one for ya.
In the last hour,
a stolen 18 wheeler being pursued ended up crashing through the front door of the Brenham, Texas DPS License Office on 290.
Update:
I’m in Brenham and had to go look.
Sure enough. It was loaded with wire mesh for concrete work.
There’s got to be a whole lot more to this story. That DPS building is a stand alone structure on the 290 feeder. The truck took a straight-in path into the front lobby. Almost like the building was targeted.
Brenham radio reporting that the perp was denied a CDL permit yesterday. He stole the truck this morning. He is in custody. The office was open. At least nine people were injured, three critically.
RE: My comment @ 8:42 AM. The one thing most people don’t think about are the property taxes. The city of St. Louis is going to take a giant hit to its tax roll income. If the annual tax rate is .04 % of total value, the property generated $8,240,000 each year in taxes. It will be in the 6 figures for the new value of $3,500,000.
Also, the crushing blow to value comparables for all the other commercial properties in the area is going to turn their CRE formulas upside down.
Here is the Google Street View of the Brenham DPS on 290. If this link doesn’t work, the address is 975 Hwy. 290 West, Brenham, TX. You can see the feeder road and how small are the building and parking lot. Here is a KBTX report from an hour ago with a photo of the wreckage.
Missing link.
First sentence has embedded link. It just worked for me fine.
Never mind, I fixed it with the second link.
This is some shocking graffiti on a wall in Iran. It says: Hit Them, Israel, They Don’t Have the Balls to Retaliate !
NO surprise that Dan effing Crenshaw, aka Eyepatch McCain, voted against requiring a warrant to spy on Americans.
Olivia Hussey will be 73 years old on April 17th, 5 days from now. It’s hard to believe since she has been frozen in my memory as the angelic young Juliet. She’s a year older than me.
I’ll bet Jersey Boss Man Stan a bottle of this that the crooks managed to keep the carve out exemption for themselves because that’s what crooks do.
how much more evidence do you need to realize that the crooked redupedlicans don’t wanna win?
no matter what major bills come up there’s always just enough redupedlican crooks to get it passed.
We can’t bet against each other if we agree on the issue. I used to kind of look down my nose at red blends, but some of the wines they mix these days are outstanding.
I somehow lost this photo over the years and I’ve discovered it again today. Hallelujah.
RANDY WEAVER WAS RIGHT

All Malinowski did was sell a few weapons at a gun show.
The case against Malinowski was contrived, the raid by an over militarized ATF, and their tactics are beyond needless. Watch the videos in the second link. I do not trust the local police, I do not trust the DPS, forget the FBI and the ATF? These guys are murderous thugs.
Read both links RTWDT
Like minds…
I completely and totally agree. The whole thing makes me sick to my stomach and I haven’t had time to watch the videos you found.
I’ll just leave this right here
One of the injured has died in the Brenham tragedy.
The perp is a 42-year-old man from Chappell Hill, just east of Brenham.
It was just reported on Fox.
Good grief.
The Houston transplant doctor story has made the national news.
I think I screwed myself. Father says he wanted a database for this new program he’s setting up, and I spit out that I used to do stuff like that for a living.
Years ago doesn’t matter to those not in the biz.
and remember.
the so called great replacement, great for the HoF deep state criminal enterprise, but bad for American citizens is just a conspiracy theory.
we have no representation and our tax dollars are used to abuse us and replace us over and over again.
Why hasn’t anyone here posted anything about the Klein ISD teacher running a prostitution ring with underage teen girls with her pimp son ? Apparently, the school administration was covering for her and persecuted the teacher who turned her in.
I get so tired of certain subjects that I…just…can’t. The idea of a teacher sex trafficking kids? I’ve hit a wall. The bruise is big and purple.
I understand.
We had a good day sending off our tax return, thanks to our accountant who knows how to manage it to our best advantage. We just had to sign the return sheet, and the accountant takes care of sending the whole thing by email to the Feds. We have a refund coming, and that is nice. That likely won’t show up for some time.
So we celebrated by going to lunch at a favorite place. Maybe a glass of wine this evening too. 🙂
You know, the funeralizing that you have to do when you reach a certain age really sucks.
My good friend Jonathan, my former church music director- now a Lutheran pastor – after a long, tough fight, lost his youngish wife to early onset Alzheimer’s last weekend.
Theirs was a great love story.
He’s going to stay with me tomorrow night after the funeral.
Yeah the only kind of man that you ever wanted
Was one that you knew you’d never hold very long
Sittin’ there cryin’ like I’m the first one to go
Well I had a busy day working on the dam at the big pond and I’m about dang tired. But I got a lot done, whacked down three sweetgums and hauled them off with my new Kubota Mule. Oh and I do love that dump bed, I only have to load them up not take them off. FWIW; I still haven’t fired up my new big Stihl chain saw and yes GJT, I’m soo ashamed. But my Farm Boss does a great job on most everything I cut.
I saw Trump’s presser from Mar A Lago and he said he was at his $18 Million dollar home on the beach and on the bay. 😀 And ifin’ you didn’t know, the crooked Judge/DA in NY City appraised Mar A Lago at $18 Million, never mind that a vacant lot, smaller than the lot Trumps house is on recently sold for $100 million.
The Houston doc’s transplant story is a disaster in lots of ways but the worst for those patients who needed a transplant done correctly and thought they were getting one. The doc who produced the fraud surely should lose his license to practice pronto and be ready to be sued by patients who were affected by receiving less than what they were told they would receive. Nevermind the criminal nature of what he did that should be attended to, also pronto. What an evil creature that man is.
I had to uncheck the like for Miss Adee’s post – because although I agree there’s no way I LIKE what that guy did
BTW; Shannon your Semi truck DPS crash made the national news.
