CARIBBEAN—In a move that has shocked the world, the Clinton Foundation has announced its purchase of the infamous Little St. James Island. The once-notorious location, formerly owned by the late Jeffrey Epstein, will now serve a noble purpose: housing Haitian children 15 years and younger displaced by their country’s ongoing unrest.

This bold decision by the Clinton Foundation demonstrates its unwavering commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children in need. As Haiti continues to struggle with political turmoil and natural disasters, the Foundation has stepped up to provide a safe haven for the nation’s most vulnerable citizens.

******************************************************************

How the Clintons Robbed and Destroyed Haiti

The Clintons became masters of debilitatingly empty promises when it comes to Haiti.

The imprint of Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton is indelible. The couple’s presence and impact on the Caribbean island have brought nothing but prolonged despair for the Haitians. Their elusive and opaque deals in the country have not done anything to alleviate the country out of poverty depths. The purported interests of helping Haiti from its myriad of problems have only caused stagnation in Haiti.

WHAT THE CLINTONS DID TO HAITI

The Clinton-led recovery was a disaster. A year after the earthquake, a stinging report from Oxfam singled out Clinton’s IHRC as creating a “quagmire of indecision and delay” that had made little progress toward successful earthquake recovery. Oxfam found that:

…less than half of the reconstruction aid promised by international donors has been disbursed. And while some of that money has been put toward temporary housing, almost none of the funds have been used for rubble removal.

Instead, the Clinton Foundation, IHRC, and State Department created what a Wall Street Journal writer called “a mishmash of low quality, poorly thought-out development experiments and half-finished projects.”

What a teaser, I’ve not checked out the O.C. piece but it’s obviously a parody. Oh wait I see Genesius Times. 😉
Oh and Texpat, we’re still waiting on a grandson eclipse report from up on the mountain.

I was watching the local ABC station this morning and they had a report from the national ABC bunch about Trump’s comments about abortion being a state issue instead of a Federal one and it was played out like a Biden Presidential ad. They did an amazing job of turning a news story into a campaign ad. Even showing a real ad about some lady from Texas that got an infection from an abortion and that was all Trumps fault. NOT surprisingly, I later flipped over to CBS and they did the exact same thing. The report was worded slightly differently but it had to come form the same Democrat talking points, they even had the same Biden ad. ~SPITS~

These are the people Joe Biden wants to have nuclear weapons. These are the people who sent IEDs to Iraq & Afghanistan to kill and maim our military personnel.

Iranian agents sent a mourner’s wreath to the family of a female soldier held captive in the Gaza Strip as a way to psychologically torture her loved ones, according to findings by the Shin Bet security agency.

The sister of Liri Albag, who was kidnapped from the Nahal Oz base by Hamas terrorists, said the family was devastated by the delivery of a floral wreath, which was clearly meant to be placed on a grave.

The flowers were accompanied by a note which read “May her memory be a blessing, we all know that the country is more important.”

The Solar Eclipse Party went off without a hitch as we had blue skies until about 15 minutes after peak coverage which was 92% on the Ramapo Mountain.

My grandson was excited about it, but his mother seemed to be the most thrilled with the event. We had a glass of champagne and Moon Pies to celebrate the occasion.

My granddaughter, Ellie Ruth, was unimpressed with astronomical phenomena and slept through the whole thing

    By Natalie Solent at Samizdata:

You know “humanitarian NGOs” are lying – when they are speaking or typing.

To be fair, although you would never guess it from their tweet, the linked article by Amnesty does make perfunctory mention of the non-literary crime that caused Walid Daqqa to be put in prison:

On 25 March 1986, Israeli forces arrested Walid Daqqah, then 24, a Palestinian citizen of Israel. In March 1987, an Israeli military court sentenced him to life imprisonment after convicting him of commanding the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)-affiliated group that had abducted and killed Israeli soldier Moshe Tamam in 1984.

Perhaps concerned about her wordcount, Amnesty’s writer, Erika Guevara-Rosas, did not say much about Moshe Tamam. She cited Walid Daqqa’s youthful age at the time, 24, but did not see fit to say that his victim Moshe Tamam was just 19. And she skips over some relevant details in that brief word “killed”. Daqqa and his PFLP comrades did not just kill Moshe Tamam, they tortured him to death. They gouged out his eyes and castrated him. Then they murdered him.

Moshe Tamam, 19, was kidnapped from a bus in Israel originally to be held for ransom. But he was tortured, his body mutilated and his eyes gouged out all while he was still alive and then taken to an olive grove and shot to death.

In case you missed this one…

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Monday it will ban transgender women from participating in women’s sports.

The national small-college organization’s Council of Presidents approved in a 20-0 vote a policy that only students who were assigned the female gender at birth could compete in women’s sports. The new policy also blocks transgender women or nonbinary students who are receiving masculinizing hormone therapy.

    plus,

The organization is believed to be the first to mandate that athletes compete according to their assigned sex at birth.

There is no known number of transgender athletes at the high school and college levels, though it is believed to be small.

The NAIA is the national athletic governing body for 249 mostly small colleges and about 83,000 student-athletes in more than 25 sports. The organization’s membership is about 80% private schools and is not part of the NCAA’s three divisions of competition.

As a matter of proper grammar and accuracy, I object to the phrase assigned at birth. The phrase implies that the sex of the infant is somehow subjective or a choice of the doctor instead of that which is a recognition of what is visually obvious.

      1. bsue54 Avatar

Mayhaps “recorded at birth” would be more accurately descriptive

      2. Tedtam Avatar

Perhaps “obvious at birth” would be better. I have always had a mental grinding of gears with that phrase, also.

The one huge advantage Israel has over the Biden/Blinken administration is overwhelmingly higher levels of intelligence. Armin Rosen of Tablet magazine implies this in his comment yesterday:

Tablet staff writer Armin Rosen, meanwhile, stressed that while Israel’s tap dance with the White House has thus far not achieved the full defeat of Hamas, it has allowed Jerusalem maneuvering room to pursue its interests in the face of U.S. pressure, and may continue to do so:

The Israelis have circumvented months of American warnings that they only had a few months or weeks left to defeat Hamas—the current crisis comes in part from the war having gone too well for Washington’s taste. In the pullout of many of the remaining IDF combat troops from Gaza, it is possible to see the next iteration of Israel earning credit with the Americans while pursuing goals that are wildly at odds with the Biden administration’s revealed preferences: Israeli troops still bisect the Gaza Strip, meaning the displaced in south Gaza cannot return north without Jerusalem’s permission. If the Israelis wanted to clear a multikilometer buffer zone or otherwise create the territorial or administrative conditions under which a self-governing hostile population of over 1 million people no longer lives directly next door to Ashdod and Sderot—which would be wholly consistent with all applicable international law, for whatever that’s worth—they can still do it. Granted, the circumvention strategy hasn’t defeated Hamas or mollified the Americans, and it’s created a series of bigger and bigger clashes with Washington, but it’s also allowed the Israelis to pursue their war aims beyond what might have once seemed possible. I’d be willing to bet there are more surprises ahead.

I got quite a compliment last night. After mass, the Catholic Daughters hosted a reception (which went very well, despite the humidity outside). I had two hands full of cake, about to head back to the folks visiting outside for distribution, when this woman reached out to gently stroke my cheek with the back of her fingers. “I think you have such beautiful skin,” she said, before turning away.

From a guy, that would have pegged my creep-o-meter, but woman to woman, that’s high praise.

Regarding Haiti: I’ve seen anti-Clinton protestors at Clinton events in the past. Signs asking “Where is the 31 Billion dollars?” were quite common. I don’t know who the biggest grifters are: the Bidens or the Clintons. I’m sure Pelosi and some others are close behind.

We are ruled by some of the lowest common denominator folks in the world.

Hubby is now in possession of my car. I’ve had an exhaust leak for some time now, but he needed to finish some things on his baby and clear the car rack before tackling my vehicle. I shall be sans wheels for a day or two. Or three. Depending on parts. And his back. And knee.

I don’t know how special it’ll be – for some reason, I have directions for multiple baths with this special soap, AND clean sheets to sleep on after each… Personally, I think it’s all to keep me occupied to prevent me having time enough to get PRE-Occupied, if you catch my drift… And all this is AFTER the initial “learning session” on the SCI-FI exercise bike that was delivered and set up yesterday… Maybe they figure if I’m exhausted from household chores, etc, I don’t have time to even think about worrying 😉

Did Israel surrender to White House pressure in Gaza? Iran likely thinks so

    Richard Goldberg

    .

What Israeli leaders say and do in the next 48 hours matters more than what they’ve said and done in the last 48 hours.

What assurances can be provided that Israel remains committed to an operation in Rafah and Hamas’ ultimate destruction?

What consequences will be promised should Iran attack Israeli territory in the coming hours or days?

What Israeli operations will be conducted — on any and all fronts where Iran fights — that put Tehran and its proxies back on their heels?

And what steps will the White House and Congress take to make sure Tehran believes the United States still has Israel’s back?

The answer to these questions will determine Israel’s fate — not the timing of any single move in Gaza.

Also, the mRNA ghouls are now pushing a “personalized cancer vaccine”. Well, they got away with it once already….

Speaking of mRNA, new studies regarding the “excess mortality” and “unexpected (turbo) cancers” among the young are not the only worry. There’s also premature aging to worry about:

I’m sure it was completely unrelated, but the New York Post also ran a cancer story yesterday, this one headlined “Cancer rates rising in young people due to ‘accelerated aging,’ according to ‘highly troubling’ new study.” Whoops.

    /snip

But now, adding insult to young people’s many injuries, in addition to significant issues of cancer, young people are dealing with significant issues of aging, which is sort of an oxymoron, if you think about it. I mean, in one sense we are all dealing with ‘significant issues of aging,’ but that’s beside the point, since that’s not the sense they are talking about.

If there is one thing from which young people deserve to be free, it’s significant issues of aging. Those should be reserved for the elderly, who’ve already enjoyed their carefree salad years during which they get to believe they’ll never get old, not like all those relics clogging up the care homes. Young people get to believe science will sooner or later come up with a drug that stops aging, or at least slows it down.

    /knock, knock/
    “Who’s there?”
“We’re here from the government, and we’re here to help.”

They leave off the last words: “you die”.

    Heads should roll. ™
