Good Friday is always a sad day when one takes time to think about it and remembers how we learned about it as kids growing up as Christians. The promise of Easter Sunday is joyfully fulfilled on that day. The older you get, the more you understand what it means.

The Cougars were already short-handed.
To lose Shead to injury in this game was a killer.
He was Big 12 Player of the year and also Big 12 Defensive Player of the year.

@5:15pm Jersey boss man Stan. I really don’t care what all the kangarooed penguins write in all their legalese mumbo jumbo bs decisions. i think they basically said it’s not an invasion because they aren’t armed. how do those dumb cluck penguins know that? Guess they didn’t see the video from El Paso the other day. so using their logic… Read more »

This is a somewhat local issue that has taken on national attention because Donald Trump is a hometown boy and Joe Biden chose to come to NYC in the midst of firestorm in the city over the senseless murder of a young NYPD officer. There have been other NYPD officers murdered in cold blood in recent years, but this one… Read more »

Speaking of eggs. Shannon and I spent most of our childhood Easters in Bellville with our grandparents and their friends. We used to go over to Mrs. Annie Tesch’s huge old Victorian home with its large kitchen and huge Chambers stove and oven. The home had wrap around porches everywhere and we played cowboys and Indians all over and across… Read more »

Attention: Dr Phil Good RE: Texas SB4 and Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals I know most people have no patience for the procedural process of the appellate law in America. Often, it seems pointless and obtuse. But it is essential to our constitutional system. Frequently these days the whole thing gets hijacked or distorted by Leftist Thugs With Bar Licenses,… Read more »

Oh and the most shocking advice was when you take the boiled eggs off of the heat – and before you plunge them into ice water – go ahead and crack them with a utensil handle right away. Theory being that the hot water will penetrate under the shell and assist in peeling. I doubt I will remember these hacks… Read more »

I have said here before that I don’t have much use for a boiled egg, unless I’m making a tuna salad or something. And I know they love their deviled eggs over there in Alabammy – but I can take ‘em or leave ‘em. But I learned today from the Hillbilly Kitchen lady that they will be easier to peel… Read more »

Oh and since my wife can’t start the push mower that she uses around her flower beds and in areas where the big mower won’t go, I got her a RMA 460 battery powered mower and it works very good. It’s also real quiet.
I told her this would be her Mother’s day gift and she loves it.

The local Auto parts place that sells Stihl products had their big spring sale, Mar 28,29, & 30 so I broke down and got me a MS 391 with a 25″ bar. 64 CC, 4.4 HP, 3/8″ chain, weighing a little less than 14 Lbs….Gumbi Dammit. 😉

I decided to re-mow the entire job.

Brenham had this really neat Appliance and Mower parts house run by this older couple for many years. It was actually situated in an old house. How about this for nekkid corruption: Your base demographic does not reproduce due to abortion and other pagan ways. You see this as an end to your power because the other side is healthy, reproducing at a healthy rate, generating their own income and basically doing what healthy free people do. They have little need for government and hold your… Read more »

When you’re in your 20s and 30s and you drop some weight, people notice, they’re nice about it… they’re like, ‘Hey man, you look good!’ … but when you’re in your 40s and you lose weight, people are like, ‘You doin’ all right?’

Everything old is new. As noted by The Verge on Tuesday, US music fans purchased around 43 million vinyl records in 2023, about 6 million more than total CD sales last year. What’s more, LP and EP purchases actually increased year-to-year by nearly 3 million sales—for the record (sorry), “long playing” vinyl are generally 12-inch records containing full albums usually played at… Read more »
