Anyone surprised the propagandist mr potato head media is awol on the illegal alien that murdered the young woman story in Georgia?

Mr potato head loves the smell of mako sushi in the morning.

We’re waiting for the wild onions to bloom soon.  That scent will really knock you over if the stems are bitten or broken, which apparently some of the native wildlife does, mostly at night.   Good reason to not open windows at night.  And then there are skunks at night passing through that sometimes are annoyed by other wildlife or loose… Read more »

Hubby says he might mow tomorrow.

Onions.

Even with the windows closed, I’m going to smell them inside. I should go dig some up for dinner but I don’t feel like handling a shovel right now.

The garden room windows are open, letting in a wonderful 75-degree breeze and likely lots of pollen with it.  Spring is here, today anyhow, as a tease before the next cold front  arrives.  Nice while it lasts. Clover is blooming everywhere it can, knock-you-over pungent as usual.  Spouse said he almost needed a mask while mowing the pastures yesterday. It… Read more »

Making fun of Joe Biden is akin to shooting turkeys in a barrel.  Way too easy.

Yes but doing it in Italy made it even funnier squawka Bruddah:)

We just got back from seeing American Fiction. If you love seeing the American Left Wing Obama-worshipping Guilty White publishing industry held up for merciless humiliation and hilarious condescension, then go watch this movie. Special kudos for 80 year old Leslie Uggams for playing the matriarch of the clan.  Sterling K. Brown was over the top great as the obnoxious,… Read more »

Well, we are approaching an entire year since Billy Cat has been coming by Chez Harp for meals, at least twice a day, and finally, just this week, he’s starting to live in my back yard during the day. He has picked out a spot up against the fence on the east side. There is still a bricked-in bed along… Read more »

#43 Texpat,

The Italians have nailed it.  What a performance that was.  Amusing and sad at the same time as we worry about who is running the show for Joe in real life.

that is freakin hilarious.

especially the ending.
my sides were splittin.

too bad no commodians in America have the guts or balls to perform a skit like that.
Oh that’s right, they can’t because they’re all deep state neutered and card carrying members of the fake wooden dummy regime.

Wow. This is one woman and her individual anecdotal experience.  However, her observations are not to be dismissed.  I have a sickening feeling she is right. I just got back from Ukraine, where I was visiting some friends. Everything we have heard about what’s happening in Ukraine is a lie. The reality is darker, bleaker, and unequivocally hopeless. There is no… Read more »

Due to the rotation of the earth, the salt water would flow from the Pacific to the Gulf and destroy the fresh water river, the Rio Grande.  The river would be converted into a stinking canal and all the farm/ranch land that depends on the fresh water of the river would be ruined.

HARD PASS.

These types of controversies are so unnecessary and stupid. But as beat writers rushed to tweet out their zoomed-in cell phone photos of the first signs of baseball, the uniforms revealed another feature: pants so transparent that you could see the jersey tag tucked into the waistband. Photo day results continued the unfortunate trend, with clearly visible logos from compression… Read more »

What is the point of building a river or canal to the Pacific if the Rio Grande isn’t stopping anybody now ?

36 Super Dave Passing over a mountain range of 10-14K feet?!?! El Paso is about 3,700′ west to Agua Prieta at 3,500′, but then you rise to 4,000′ at Nogales. Nogales to Yuma goes down to 144′ above sea level and then down further to 1′ elevation at Calexico, California in the desert valley. From Calexico west heads straight up… Read more »

I’ll add that the site for the Panama canal was chosen because it was the narrowest part of the isthmus connecting the North and South America. The French worked on it for years before giving up and it took the good ole US of A to get the job done. With the help of Teddy Roosevelt of course.

Shannon: Egypt is sucking eggs right now. Those big ships pay a half million dollars for Suez passage. A few days ago I posted something I saw elsewhere: Extending the Rio Grande to the Pacific, creating a moat between us and Mexico and sticking our thumb into Panama’s eye.  It would shorten shipping time/routes, create a heckuva lotta jobs, and… Read more »

Vinegar is the oldest known man-made liquid ingredient.

Garum (fermented fish sauce) has to be pretty old as well.  It’s been used for millennia in both SE Asia & the Mediterranean.
